when I started shipping it if I did:

There is this fic called Dawn by Wynnebat that someone in reddit recommended to me a while back. I enjoyed it so much that I looked for more fics and pretty much just ended up wading into the treasure trove XD.

my thoughts:

I really enjoy them as an enemies to lover ship! Many of the fics there have amazing plot, and I simply can't resist a magnificent slowburn. It's dramione but gay, and I enjoy snarky, feminine Pansy with such a massive personality so much more than quiet and stoic Dramione!Draco. Pansy in fics is just so fun to read!

What makes me happy about them:

Enjoyable explorations of bigotry, forgiveness, and growth! I also enjoy the sheer gayness of the ship XD

What makes me sad about them:

Not much actually! This is a very fanon ship to me, so I just pick the things I like!

things done in fanfic that annoys me:

I really wish more people would lean into Pansy's privilege and bigotry! The treatment of those aspects of her character are markedly better than say most Dramione fics, but I can't help but wish for more.

I would really love to one day find a fic where Pansy does not have an abusive background. It always leaves me with a sense that Pansy was only bigoted because her parents "forced" her to be - and that she, unlike them, held an inherent goodness that only had to be given space to shine through. I think I would enjoy so much more a story that treated bigotry as something she greatly benefited from and learned from people she loves deeply. I would love a deconstruction of what that means as she grows out of these.

things I look for in fanfic:

Great plots, especially case fics! Great Hermione characterization, and well done bigotry unlearning arcs for Pansy! I love a great slowburn between them too where all these feelings are just slowly bubbling.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: 

For Pansy, a pairing with Draco sounds interesting. I love exploring the idea of a post-war relationship where the Pansy who tried to give Harry up to save herself meets with the Draco who spent so long housing Lord Voldemort. They could be a really interesting study along the theme of self-preservation.

For Hermione, I think it's quite obvious that I'm a multishipper XD. I will take any ship really for as long as it explores Hermione in an interesting manner. My personal favorite ships though are with Harry, Fleur, Viktor, and (much more recent) Ginny! I love exploring various aspects of Hermione's character with all these people!

My happily ever after for them:

I love the idea of Hermione Granger as Minister for Magic with Pansy as her first lady, and the two of them taking the world by the storm. I enjoy imagining the two of them making their rounds in Ministry galas and politicking together, and then coming home together to enjoy an intimate and relaxing night with each other.

I love the idea of them enjoying long, luxurious bubble baths especially after a hard day's work.

just finished the red white and royal blue movie and it was very good! sure, the movie cut out a lot of stuff and i have no idea what the experience would be like for someone who's not read the book but i still very much enjoyed it. what really gets me about rwrb is the romance yes, but also the politics, the hope. i want to crawl inside that universe and live there

I am just here to say that a Pansimione, Drarry, Gingerbini Iliad story was something I didn't know I needed, but I am already obsessed!!

That Pansy POV!! The way it's so incisive, and distinct, and it feels so Pansy and yet new and interesting, and already so tragic it leaves one breathless.

Do you plan multiple POVs for all pairs? Any sneaky details you can give us? (no pressure, of course ♥️)

It's gonna be wild, believe me! Yes it will be multi POV and every pair will have their moments, the first chapter is Hermione and the second is Blaise (at least that's the way it is right now) I"m thinking I might makes these chapters a little shorter than my usual chapters so I can actually get them out while still working on KYD but we'll see! I've yet to stick to a plan so who knows what will happen!

“You and I both know I’ve got you wrapped around my little finger,” Pansy said.  She glanced up at Hermione in the mirror.  The other woman had her arms crossed and was sitting on the edge of their bed.  The kitten she had sighed over in the shop then declared there was absolutely no way they could get was batting at the edge of her sleeve.  It leapt at a speck in the air, then careened into Hermione’s lap.  Her mouth face softened into a look of absolute longing before she put her determined mouth back on.  

“Kittens are so much work,” she said.

“But I want her,” Pansy said in her best spoiled brat tone.  “And so you’re going to let me have her.”

“Because I’m wrapped around your finger,” said Hermione.  

“Exactly.”

🌙, pansmione, Dark Lady for the drabble

It took five years for Hermione Granger to take over Britain. 

Pansy Parkinson watched as pureblood family after pureblood family bowed at her feet. Not being the dullest Lumos, Pansy did what was expected of her and followed the crowd. It took all of her wits to snake her way into the inner circle. Tonight was about discussing some political maneuvering they were after. After the scions of these great and powerful houses had knelt before the Dark witch, they would go out and do her bidding. Pansy was no different. She curtsied: back straight, eyes down, not a wobble or shake in sight. Granger’s gaze felt like cold steel against the back of her neck. 

“Parkinson,” she murmured. Her voice didn’t need to rise to be heard. “Stay a moment.” 

Pansy bobbed another curtsey and waited for the crowd to disperse. Daphne cast a curious look in her direction as she passed. Nosy bitch, Pansy thought. It wasn’t like they were still sleeping together or anything. 

Granger was silent for several moments after the room had emptied. Pansy didn’t bother trying to break the quiet; the last person who had suffered greatly. The smaller woman rose from her ivory throne and crossed the cavernous space between them. In an instant, she had her arms around Pansy. Hermione sighed into her neck, apparently having discarded her cold mask. 

“I’ve missed you,” she breathed. Pansy echoed the sentiment and caught her hands in the riot of curls drifting down her back. 

“Stay with me tonight?” Her dark eyes looked hesitant, pleading. In the circle of Pansy’s arms, Hermione was free to be just another woman. The fierce Dark ruler didn’t laugh in her bed or accidentally burn the toast. She was any other witch in love. 

“I can’t tonight,” Pansy said. She allowed herself to fist her hands in the fabric of Hermione’s dress. “I have that breakfast meeting with the Selwyn family. You wanted me to make sure there would be no detraction among them.” 

She placed a lingering kiss on Hermione’s forehead and pulled away. She was frighteningly small in her disappointment. The mask came back the moment Pansy thought it. 

“Don’t forget, the Wizengamot meets at midday tomorrow.”

“I’ll be there.” Pansy sank into a low curtsey, hands clutching the edges of her robes. She wouldn’t reach for her, not when she was like this. Granger flicked her fingers in dismissal.

One hour later, Pansy slammed her palm down on a rough-hewn table. 

Molly Weasley looked at the girl dressed in rage, privilege, and unimaginable grief. “Well?”

“I got it.”

Under her hand lay a tiny barrette, pulsing with dark magic. A small silver flower that would end everything.
