I hadn’t made snowflakes in a while so I thought it’d be fun to make some. I didn’t have regular paper so I used Andes mints wrappers. I looked up tutorials for snowflakes but I was always bad at understanding paper crafts instructions so I just decided to cut them randomly.

I had to stop because somebody was trying to bite the scissors. I’m happy with the ones I made though.

FINALLY I managed to finish this!

Anyway, my stencil for TOH snowflake cutout is done! I made it in 2 options: big but single per sheet, and double but small. Also for 1/2 and 1/6 fold, so it's 4 in total.

Here's how the full snowflake looks like:

If I did everything right, just download and print the one you like the most and all should be ok.

Also, I made instructions:

I recommend using big options, as they are just easier to cut. 1/6 takes less time, but causes bigger errors on the edges, here's an example (1/6, small):

Hope you all like it! I used CorelDRAW for this, and, honestly, it took me a little more time than I expected.

I looked up a couple different methods to make one but I think I’ll try again soon to attempt a fancier one. As much as I like the rectangle ones I want to try to get a more regular snowflake shape.

what do u do? if u don’t want to share — what are your hobbies? ☺️

I am actually job-hunting right now! I've done some consulting work in healthcare- i'm hoping to find something in public health coming up- we'll see what shows up haha!

As far as hobbies- I have SO many oh my god. I think one of my hobbies is learning how to do new things, which is why I end up with so many projects.

Most people who follow me probably know that I write, but I like to draw/paint as well! I'm a big reader, love to kayak when I can, and am actually a pretty good baker. I've posted about it sporadically, but I really love caring for and propagating plants- my apartment is an absolute jungle. The one I don't think I've ever mentioned is embroidery, actually! I share that particular hobby with Sansa haha! I've been systematically destroying my shirts ever for a while with random embroidery- I definitely ramped up with it when the pandemic began (my March 2020 embroidery project is below- i'm working on a wildly elaborate goldfish right now).

OH- and also!! My favorite seasonal holiday is making paper snowflakes in the winter! I started doing big ones with scissors, and have gotten more and more elaborate with them each year with exacto knives. They have gotten seriously intricate since I started doing it in- I think 2016? There's some process photos of one I really liked from about two years ago below!
