📽 TobiView 📽 SPONGEBOB SCHWAMMKOPF: Eine schwammtastische Rettung ▪️ Zunächst sei gesagt – die Serie habe ich nie geschaut und maximal nur Ausschnitte davon aufgefangen, da mich Spongebob nie gereizt hat. Auch der erste Kinofilm ging komplett an mir vorbei. Der zweite Kinofilm weckte allein wegen David Hasselhoff mein Interesse. ▪️ Dem mittlerweile dritten Spongebob-Film wollte ich besonders wegen den Gastauftritten von Keanu Reeves eine Chance geben - der Kinobesuch war beschlossene Sache, aber “Covid-19“ hatte andere Pläne… ▪️ Der Film ist nun seit Anfang November auf @netflix verfügbar. Den Animationsstil, der auch schon bei “Die Peanuts – Der Film“, bei den “LEGO-Movies“ oder auch bei “Spider-Man: A New Universe“ zum Einsatz kam, muss man mögen. Dieser unterscheidet sich vom bekannten Pixar-Stil und ist nicht jedermanns Sache. Mir hat es gefallen und die Qualität der Animationen waren sehr gut. Der Mix mit Live-Action-Aufnahmen funktionierte ebenfalls recht gut. ▪️ Die Story ist flach und nichts besonders… Jemand begibt sich auf eine Reise, um etwas oder jemanden zu retten – zigfach so oder so ähnlich schon gesehen. Die bekannten Figuren sind gut dargestellt, meine Highlights waren aber die Szenen mit Danny Trejo und Keanu Reeves. Das größte Problem des Films ist aber der Brechstangen-Humor. Man wollte eine hohe Gag-Dichte und unbedingt lustig sein, aber eine Vielzahl der Gags zünden nicht und so dümpelt der Film mehr oder weniger vor sich hin. Das vornehmlich angesteuerte junge Publikum wird sein Spaß haben, vielen Erwachsenen entlockt der Film aber nicht mehr als ein Lächeln.
