Nam On-jo:

she loves everything cheesy and romantic even though she doesn't really show it

valentine's day is one of her favorite holidays

if she could, she would organize a cute little picnic for the two of you but obviously that's not really a good idea in the middle of winter

don't think that will discourage her, who says you can't have a picnic indoors?

all you'll need is a few blankets and pillows and.. food, obviously

you'd spend the afternoon preparing your favorite meal together (yes, it would somehow end up being a competition and yes, she would win)

in the evening you'd finally have your picnic in your pillow fort

 Lee Cheong-san:

he would definitely try to figure out what your ideal date is and plan accordingly

but when it comes to him, he'd prefer a nice, cozy evening spent at home

whether it's baking cookies together, watching cheesy romance movies or slow dancing to your song, he'd just be happy to spend time with you

if you do decide to make cookies however, you better watch the dough otherwise it will be gone before you know it

let's be honest though, you can't stay mad at him for too long

especially when he offers to order your favorite food to make it up to you

Choi Nam-ra:

she's never been a fan of valentine's day, nor did she even have the time to think about celebrating it in any way

she's never really had anyone to celebrate it with anyway, so why bother?

even after the two of you got together she's never brought up a valentine's date or even spending the day together

besides, with all of her responsibilities both at home and at school you knew she'd most likely not have the time

needless to say she took you by surprise when she called you pretty late in the evening, saying she'll come over for a brief moment

a little confused, you couldn't help but smile at how cute and flustered she looked when she handed you a box of your favorite chocolate and a small, red envelope with your name in beautiful handwriting

Lee Su-hyeok:

isn't really a fan of movie or dinner dates, unless he knows it's what you would prefer

he'd rather spend the evening in a more active way and take you out for a walk or to an ice skating rink

at the ice rink he'd be a total show-off but would definitely be patient with you and teach you if you've never tried it before

he wouldn't let you fall

afterall, any excuse to hold your hand is good

afterwards the both of you would get some hot chocolate (or your preferred hot drink) and maybe you'd even convince him to take you out for dinner

Park Mi-jin:

she is not a fan of any capitalist holidays, valentine's day probably being her least favorite one

she's not good at expressing her feelings but if she absolutely has to, it definitely won't be with overpriced flowers or candy, much less with cheesy love letters

she'll take you out on a date but it won't be like anything you've experienced before, she'll turn the date into an anti-valentine's day celebration

romance movies? Nope, a horror marathon it is. A romantic dinner date? More like breakfast from your favorite fast food place. Getting you flowers? Yeah, it's honestly more likely she'll make you plant a tree with her

Yang Dae-su:

this boy loves affection, both giving and receiving and you can't convince me otherwise

he will take every chance to show you how much you mean to him, how much you're loved and cared for

obviously valentine's day is the perfect opportunity to spend even more time together, preferably at home

endless cuddles! Waking you up with breakfast just to cuddle you afterwards. Movie marathon? Only if he can cuddle you throughout. Playing board games together? If he wins you have to cuddle him and if you win..you guessed it

he'll only stop the cuddles for a spontaneous karaoke break and he'll totally steal the spotlight

but don't worry, you'll get cuddles afterwards to make you feel better

Jang Ha-ri:

even tho she has a more pragmatic nature, she will do whatever she knows will make you happy for valentine's day

even if that means getting you a ridiculously huge teddy bear or the most expensive box of chocolate she's ever seen

she doesn't really like receiving gifts, especially ones she won't find any use for

just like with the gifts, for your date she will do whatever you enjoy the most, even if it's out of her comfort zone

she mostly enjoys quiet, peaceful places like botanical gardens, libraries or museums and she'll secretly hope she can convince you to spend your day in one (or all) of these places

Yoon Gwi-nam:

don't expect him to do anything cute or romantic for valentine's day, it'll be a miracle if he even remembers about it

he's not one for gifts either, he considers himself the greatest gift he could give to you

but he's not going to let you spend the day alone, oh no, afterall you are his and he is yours, he doesn't want for any guys around you to get the wrong idea

while I can't picture him in a fancy restaurant or watching the latest rom-com, I feel like he would really enjoy axe throwing and/or going to an escape room or a rage room

Mi-jin smirked, eyeing her girlfriend who remained focus on her archery, it became a habit to always watch her, shooting off flirty comments and simply admiring her.

“Hmm? What's up, you're so quiet today.” Ha-ri put down her bow, walking towards Mi-jin who dreamingly sigh before responding, “my eyes are too busy looking at you that my mouth is so speechless.”

The archer let out a snort before sitting beside the lovesick girl who continues to follow her figure before pointing at her lips. “don't I deserve a kiss for being a patient girlfriend?”

Going on a road trip with All of us are dead characters

Disclaimer: these all take place before the zombie apocalypse

Nam On-jo:

Though she wasn't really big on sitting in a car for a few hours straight, On-jo knew a road trip might be a different yet nice way to spend time with you

She wouldn't admit it to you, but she's never been on one before, so the thought alone excited her, she was happy to experience it for the first time with you. Not sure how to prepare or what to bring, she made some sandwiches and your favorite hot drink, feeling so proud when she saw your eyes light up after handing you the food

The trip itself was rather uneventful, but you still enjoyed it, happy to spend time together. After a really bad karaoke session (turns out singing wasn't either of your strong suit), On-jo decided to finally start the book that has been sitting on her shelves forever, leaving you to drive and sneak in a look or two, admiring how cute she looked, deep in her thoughts, visibly invested in the plot

Of course, you didn't forget the meal she prepared for you, so after a few hours of driving you found a nice, quiet spot for the two of you to have a picnic. While you were eating she went on to ramble about her book, how silly the main characters were, oblivious to their mutual feelings for each other. You've never been one for romance, but the way she explained the plot to you so enthusiastically, a big smile on her face the entire time, maybe you would give it a shot

Losing track of time, you didn't even realize the sun had set already but you didn't really mind anyway. You enjoyed the trip even more than you expected, laying on your blanket with On-jo by your side, your fingers intertwined while you admired the starry sky

Choi Nam-ra:

Being the perfectionist she is, Nam-ra prepared everything, and I mean everything

From your favorite food, a perfect playlist including all of your favorite songs (even ones you haven't heard in years and have completely forgot about) to all the landmarks you guys wanted to visit

If you didn't know better, you'd almost believe she even somehow influenced the weather that day-it was perfect for a road trip, sunny but not too hot

But she didn't just pick the songs or the places for you to stop at, oh no, she knew all the lyrics to every song on the playlist and she also seemed to know everything about the places you drove through/visited, a shy smile appearing on her face when she noticed how impressed you were by her knowledge

"Nam-ra, did you memorize a guidebook or something? How on earth do you know all this?"

Lee Su-hyeok:

Su-hyeok really wanted to impress you and this road trip was the perfect opportunity. Or so he thought at least-despite his efforts, everything that could have gone wrong, did go wrong

He prepared some of your favorite food before leaving, packed it up all nicely and even included dessert, only to leave the bag at home. Unfortunately all the necessities you could need during a road trip were also in the bag, leaving you guys with a bunch of useless junk

Speaking of important things-both of your phone chargers were also left at home, leaving you with no GPS and no way to look up where you were or where you're supposed to go. A paper map had to be used, which led to almost an hour of arguing about which way to go (neither of you got it right) and when you finally did find it, you immediately got stuck in traffic

To brighten up the mood a little, you decided to do a little grocery run and have a nice picnic but just as you left the store it started raining, so you ended up eating in the car

However, you couldn't stay mad at him or upset over the situation for too long, you knew he was trying his best and at least you'll have a fun story to tell your friends-especially the part where Su-hyeok almost crashed the car trying to kiss you. It might look cute in movies but is definitely not safe to do at home

Yoon Gwi-nam:

Gwi-nam wasn't a fan of road trips- a few hours locked in a car with another person and their, probably crappy, playlist? Shitty food and public restrooms at shady gas stations? Yeah, he would rather deal with zombies

When you finally managed to convince him, he decided that if he really has to do it, he'll do it his own way. You didn't suspect anything when he offered to organize the whole trip- a big mistake on your end

It started when you opened the bag with the food he brought, only to discover the largest pile of chocolate, snacks and other unhealthy stuff you've ever seen, a cacophony of loud, obnoxious sounds blasting from the radio at maximum volume- his favorite song, he explained with a smirk

It only got worse from there, your route going through multiple ghost towns looking like the setting of a horror movie, not a single soul to be seen since you started driving

And to top it all off, he picked the most run down, creepy little motel for you to stay the night-needless to say, you weren't going to invite him on another trip anytime soon

Yang Dae-su:

Neither of you were really excited for the trip, you'd prefer to stay at home and relax, rather than spend several hours in a packed car, listening to crappy music and your friends bad, overly sexual jokes

But you were there already and there was nowhere else to go, so you might as well make the most out of it. Luckily you and Dae-su were seated next to each other in the back, slightly squished but neither of you were complaining about that

It wasn't long before you fell asleep, your head falling on his shoulder. He did get a little bit flustered, admittedly, but he found it extremely cute and so, less than an hour into the trip, the both of you were snoring away, cuddled together, much to the delight of your friends

Of course it wasn't left unnoticed by the others-after you got back from the trip they took it upon themselves and made an album with all the pictures they took of you and Dae-su sleeping

As unfunny as you both found it, you had to admit-you've never had a better nap than on that day. Maybe next time you and Dae-su can do a road trip together, just the two of you?

Han Gyeong-su:

Gyeong-su would never admit to it, but he was extremely flustered when you invited him on the trip. He didn't expect you to enjoy his company, especially when you had so many other options to choose from. You could pick Su-hyeok or Cheong-san, why would you want to spend your time with him?

He wasn't the best at expressing his feelings however, in fact he just bottled everything up inside so he did the next best thing-he mocked and made fun of everything, from your car and the way you were driving, to your taste in music

"Are you sure you have a license? I think my grandparents drive faster than you!"

In reality he admired pretty much everything about you, averting his eyes every time you looked at him from the driver's seat, pretending he wasn't staring at you in awe and brushing it off with a joke. Yeah, he was totally just making sure you're still alive and wouldn't crash the car against the nearest tree

You didn't really mind his jokes too much, you knew exactly how he really felt about you, you have for quite some time now. Afterall, what's a better way to get to know someone you like than by locking yourself inside a car with them for a few hours?

Jang Ha-ri:

Ha-ri knew you've had a rough week. Month? Year? Either way, she knew you desperately needed some time off, to relax and clear your mind. A road trip seemed like a good idea-just you and her, away from the city, away from everything and everyone

She didn't allow you to participate in organizing the trip, nor picking the destination. She wanted to take care of everything herself and make sure you get the rest you needed. You weren't particularly fond of surprises but you trusted her and you knew she always wanted what's best for you

When you finally got in the car (with her driving of course), an awkward silence fell between the two of you. Neither of you were in the mood for music or podcasts but you also didn't want to just sit there, with your thoughts and feelings all bottled up, so you eventually gave in and opened up to her about your worries, your insecurities, all the stress you were experiencing recently

Ha-ri didn't say anything the entire time, letting you speak and just listening. She knew that's what you needed and she was happy that you trusted her enough to share your struggles with her

By the time you arrived at your destination, you were feeling much better already, your mind at peace. But it got even better-though usually quiet and reserved, Ha-ri opened up to you too, the place she took you to being one of her favorites, her escape whenever she needed to be alone. But she didn't want to be alone at that moment, not this time-this time she wanted to share her favorite place with you, make it your place

Park Mi-jin:

I don't know how you managed to convince her to go on a road trip, but I hope you're prepared for her to complain all the time-from your playlist and the fact that she can't smoke in the car, to the destination you picked, everything sucks

"You're so off key btw, maybe you should stop singing, it's not like you're going to make a living off of it anyway. And also why did you pack so many snacks? Did you hide a whole army in the trunk while I wasn't looking?"

She improvised a list of 50 best days of her life-none of which were spent in a car. And if you still didn't get a hint, she'd also come up with a list of a 100 interesting things she likes to do in her spare time, neither of them involving a car either. And those were just the things to do at home..

Though it was difficult, impossible at times, you ignored her sarcastic remarks and yawns too loud to be genuine, and finally, slowly but surely, her attitude started to change and by the end of the day you'd dare to say she was enjoying herself

She was now singing along to the songs she claimed to hate so much, happily munching the snacks you packed and even complained you didn't bring enough, but hey-seeing her so happy, smiling and joking around made up for all the complaining. At least in your book
