youngest of the choi family, but the eldest and only son, jaehyun was born into high expectations before he even came out of the womb. the weight of the family name rested on his shoulders, the vice man of the house if anything were to happen to his father. he was his parent's pride and joy. it was just a shame that he couldn't quite live up to the life they had paved for him. there were only two options for jae, take over the family restaurant or become a doctor/lawyer/successful business owner. except jae didn't want any of those things. he wasn't particularly good at anything either like his sisters were. he was just very average at school, barely scraping in some of his subjects but one thing he was good at was sports.

unbeknownst to his parents, jae traded piano lessons for football practice instead, forging permission slips and shoving his jersey at the back of his wardrobe but there was only so long he could hide his secret from them. he didn't have the heart to tell them that he was barely scraping by school either. but then came college applications and the schools that his parents wanted him to apply to were way out of his league with his grades even with a miracle. luckily, his football coach thought jae could have a chance at getting into college on a football scholarship, but that meant that he also had to break the news about his extracurricular activities. they were furious at first but they couldn't stay mad at him if it meant a full ride college scholarship. there was still a chance for him to become something.

except nothing interested him. all jae wanted to do was play football, box or work on cars. he must have switched his majors at least 3 times before settling on something that he thought would be easy and low effort. he couldn't lie, he still struggled but being one of the star football players had its perks, such as getting other people to do his assignments for him or getting an extension from professors because he didn't have time due to his "gruelling" practice schedule. looking back, he let the reputation get to his head, like he was untouchable, treating people like they were beneath him.

it all came crashing down in a split second. third degree acl tear. surgery. you won't be able to play pro football again. jae wasn't sure what hurt more ⎯ his injury or the fact that he wouldn't be able to play like he did again. when he was sat in that hospital bed, looking at the lone balloon and obligatory "get well soon" flowers from his team, he started to regret all his life decisions. maybe he should have listened to his parents when they told his that football wasn't forever and he had to think about the future. maybe he shouldn't have been so cocky, treated people so badly.

the recovery months were probably the hardest ⎯ learning to walk again, not being able to do things by himself, and worse of all, having to see his teammates prepare for the next season without him. for months he felt like he had no purpose in life. his future was looking bleak with no sports career, nor promising professional career. he'd sit in his room, making mixes on his dj deck and watching practice, critiquing them play like he was a commentator on espn. something must have worked because the coach offered him a deputy coach position, soon to become full-time when he retires. it wasn't quite the same as being on the field but it was as close as he could get and he took it without hesitation.

soon after though, the virus happened and his plans were derailed once again. jae found himself in the same position as before, unsure of what his role was in all of this, spending his days drinking beer in his room and gaming, hoping that it'll blow over soon. 12 years later and he's found himself in a trainer position and helping around as the group's handyman.

tldr: a himbo, fail-son, former athlete who had a life-changing injury that changed his whole outlook on life and is trying to find his purpose.

Parks and Recreation: Ben Wyatt - Type 6w5

Ben is responsible, loyal and neurotic. He is always planning for every aspect of his job and is the complete opposite of Chris. Ben is more realistic, even cynical towards others, imagines the worst and tries to plan for this and often has to deal with the harder issues. He is also very loyal to Chris and they have worked together for a long time, moving from city to city. Love language: Def physical touch, but I'm often too scared to initiate it. But hugs and cuddling are my fav things ever. Also giving and receiving gifts and words of affirmation

Personality: I'm kind of an oxymoron in general, like I'm super duper shy but extremely bubbly and energetic when I do talk. I'm get like super passionate about things and excited about everything and accidently get too loud sometimes. Or, when it comes to school and work I dont talk at all. Really bad with starting conversations and thinking of things to say.

Can be super awkward but like I think cute awkward? Super innocent. I'm annoyingly empathetic, often over little things like someone getting their feelings hurt. Extroverted introvert, I like to be included and go out and LOVE adventures and taking chances but I NEED my alone time to recharge. I can go go go but then i will need a week completely alone.

I get super intimated by guys, especially ones I like/think are cute, hence really the only guy friends I have are gay. I get left out a lot but also create fun for myself and not afraid to go to places alone and have a great time. Always worried about being rejected as I have dad abandonment issues and dance world rejection because of a minor disability(mild cerebral palsy on one side), but sometimes Im so worried about being liked that it becomes a self filming prophecy, I also think everyone always hates me secretly.

I have tons of ambition and passion and am super sweet. Can always find a positive in any situation. I can be super over sensitive tho. I can be super intense sometimes and steam roll but it's because I'm super passionate. I get excited about any and everything. Both a kid at heart and an old soul

Parks and Recreation: April Ludgate - Type 4w5

April is sarcastic, dramatic and contrarian. She has a desire to be special and wants to be unique. April  acts like she doesn’t want the approval of others but will often try to impress people with her obscure references and interests.

While she often tries to come across as cool and above working at the Parks and Rec Offices, she has a lot of things in common with the other characters. She often tries to find a negative when talking to her friends to appear like she is dark, unusual and very different from people like Leslie and Chris. April rejects the daily life of Pawnee as she sees it as being mundane and wants to be doing things that are more important and special.

April is somewhat of a loner and often wants to have her own space. She sees herself as an outsider and believes that she is different to the her co-workers and family. At her best, April becomes less dramatic and starts to take on more responsibilities. She finds a career that she is passionate about and is able to pursue this with a principled attitude.

At her worst, April becomes melancholy and reactive. She beings to be self-absorbed and will withdraw from her problems or react passionately against those she sees as questioning her.

April takes a long time getting to know Andy and having a relationship with him. They start off as friends and April first realises that she has feelings for Andy. April romanticises Andy and looks past a lot of his idiosyncrasies as she views him as being her perfect partner. When they are not together she wants to make him jealous of her relationship in a way to try and show him what he is missing. After they get together, they have a very accelerated relationship and are married soon after as they are so sure that they are right for each other.

April is insecure and jealous of Andy’s past relationship with Ann. As a result of this, she treats Ann badly and speaks to her abrasively. Especially in the earlier seasons when she is beginning to have feelings for Andy, she will be more confrontational towards Ann and wants to push her away. As the series continues it can be see than she grows more fond of Ann but doesn’t want to admit that to her.
