So very glad that Hannelore has joined us on team "Sigiswald is a basic bitch who doesn't even qualify to be Rozemyne's partner" by the reasoning of "look at how cheap his courtship gift was, his mana isn't even on the same level as yours so he couldn't even give you kids :/" like there is also the realization of "oh you really are not someone who should have the unchecked power of a royal and the free time of a third wife" after the whole library rant, but she is out here willing to help overthrow the country if it means she can help her bestie out and bag a good man 👍

I am again enjoying the sheer audacity of Ferdinand's new plan of setting up Myne as a divine figure to give the Grutrissheit, and therefore the tedious job of being in charge, to somebody else so that he and Myne can build their nerd paradise in peace. Like yeah they will still have to rule as Aub and whatnot, but it sure gives them a lot more freedom to do what they want and not be bothered.

And hahahahaha Ferdinand getting embarrassed at Myne's brash declarations about making a place for him to be happy. Sylvester and Co. are never going to let him live it down.

These two really are like aroace couple goals. I really enjoy it.

I am worried about Gervasio being so close to having the full Grutrissheit. Like we now know that there have been multiple people with multiple Grutrissheits in the past, so him getting it isn't an automatic win for them, but it's really going to elongate this battle 😔

But damn the current royal family really does seem entirely useless. I'm totally for Ferdinand's plan just in hopes of getting someone semi-competent on the throne so hopefully the new royal family actually like learns from history and reads some goddamn books.

And like dang has their laziness really made their mana capacity fall that far? Like it seems like this is actually a problem that plagues the entire country. Because supposedly Gervasio was head and shoulders above all the other seeds, but Ferdinand is the only one we've seen on the same level as Myne. And like yeah it's been two decades so who's to say how much Ferdinand's capacity has improved since he was a kid; especially with the new compression method.

Can you do the Bucciaratti gang with a reader whose Stand ability allows the user to mimic voices, mannerisms and abilities of anyone from the past so perfectly that's it's uncanny?

(bonus points if reader's eyes change to the eye color of whoever's voice they're mimicking)

Example: Reader's Dio impression is so uncanny that they could be mistaken to be possessed by Dio

The way I interpret this stand working is you need to know the person's name and you had the Stand before joining Passione.

He sees it as strange

Knows Passione keeps around useful so he is confused by your Stand at first

It's then explained to him you use your Stand to basically be a distraction while others do mafia things

He then understands your Stand's use

Thinks its fun

Hates when you use it to goof off

It scares him sometimes... imagine seeing someone act like Julius Ceaser

Has you tone it done a bitIs not too happy you and your Stand are basically bait

Makes sure to give you and your Stand some fatherly love if you have daddy issues

Chuckles at and praises your stands ability

Loves seeing you use your ability to make yourself or someone else smile

Sticky Fingers like you too, and will cuddle you and your Stand

Your ever changing eye color is something he has to get used to...

The first time your eyes changed color he thought he was seeing things or it was a trick of the light

Sees your ever growing set of skills as something to be proud off

Leone Abbachio

After he becomes Don, he'll sometimes have you use your Stand to copy Abbachio, Bruno, and Narancia to make himself feel better

Golden Experience Requim gets protective over you both before and after Diavolo is defeated

Whenever you use your powers, Golden Experience will make matching flowers

Is like a proud big brother when you show off your ability copying skills

Knows you still have to practice with the copied abilities and never doubts you

Thinks its awesome

Gives you random names to see how they act

Will give you dead famous people's names so you can use your stand

He also tells you to be extra with your powers

He does this with you instead of his math work

Though, he thinks he's lost his mind when it happens the first time

When you show you ability copying, he cheers loudly

Like Mista, begs for you to show these skills

Uses you like an attack dog against people he doesn't like, Bruno shuts that down fast

Compares Mimic Man to Moody Blues

When Abbachio dies, Narancia begs you to use your powers to feel like Abbachio is still there

Panacotta Fugo

Is so God damn confused

He doesn't think you're weak, but he just doesn't understand your Stand power

When he is reading a book on Queen Theodora, and you start acting strange, he thinks you're just crazy

Bruno has to explain your Stand power because Fugo starts to genuinely questions if you have just gone completely nuts

Once it's explained to him he still has questions

He pulls out history books and reads off names to see how you use your powers

Starts to use it as a teaching tool for Narancia... but it just makes Narancia laugh and not focus

Now just tests how far you Stand's power can do

He starts to find it a bit fun to watch

Knows your Stand and Moody Blues are nothing alike

Purple Haze watches Mimic Man, like a stalker

Fugo keeps Purple Haze away from your Stand because he is worried you'll die

Is somewhat horrified when he learns you were basically used as a distraction

When you show off you ability copying, he really wants to see if those skills carry over

Trish Una

She is also confused about your Stand

Once she is told, it clears nothing up

She has to be given an example of your power to understand

Once she does, she joins Fugo in testing your powers

She finds it funny and it makes her laugh

When she learns about how you were used to be a distraction... she gets scared for you

When you act like the people, she hangs out with Narancia and Mista

Also gives you random to see how it works

Loves to hang out with Mimic Man

When she sees your changing eyes colors, she helps you plan outfits for each eye color

Is a bit confused on comparison between Mimic Man and Moody Blues

Spice Girl and Mimic Man hang out a lot and are friends

When you demonstrate you ability copying and the skills that come with it, she thinks it's cool

My favorite thing about Ascendance of a Bookworm is how well Myne and Ferdinand play off of each other, even just from the analytical sense of being perfect foils.

My favorote thing, of course, is their different mind sets.

Ferdinand acts cold, rational, and logical only for the reveal to be that he's an extremely emotional person who just uses the fact he's incredibly intelligent to make up excuses for his extremely emotion driven decisions.

Myne, in contrast, acts very emotion driven but, with the exclusion of books and family, is coldy, almost cruelly, logic driven. She's kind and compassionate but, when confronted with the common sense of an alien world, every action she takes from that point on is the result of a careful cost/benefit analysis and a worldview that immediately and irreversibly cuts people out when she deems them to be a liability. Even when she likes them and maintains a polite relationship with them.

It's just. Very interesting to me, especially thinking on the end of Part 5.

Too tired to make any long post, but this new book blessed is with the Fermyne content 🙏🙏🙏

Their entire interaction was both comedy gold and couple goals

I pray to the gods that those two are successful at turning Ahrensbach into their own little playground for books and food and research. They deserve it

Also fucking laughing my ass off over Sigiswald's courtship necklace being an absolute piece of shit that can't even last through one night of a Rozemyne rampage. Meanwhile Ferdinand gave her those hair sticks and such so long ago and they are still in perfect condition. Like get rekt, your royal ass does not have enough mana for Rozemyne to consider you, PLUS she thinks you're basic.

Also, Erwaermen can think whatever he wants regarding Ferdinand and Rozemyne,,, but I'm like 100% sure all the other gods are just going looking at these two funky little dudes, their blorbos, all like "look at them go" and "you're doing great sweetie"
