Rehabilitation Path
While researching about a villain's parentage as Oracle, Babs discovered that the Information about Amity Park is blocked (maybe is the GIW, maybe is Tucker or an aftermath of Technus shenanigans in the city).
She realizes that she can't investigate about this random place and get concerned, so she decides to investigate it in person. But since is just a reconnaissance mission to understand the technological block she didn't tell the bats, why would she?
When she arrives there, she saw all the things happening: the teen hero, ghosts invasion, government cover-up, etc.
But that's not the worst part, because she also saw that something was happening with the town hero: He was moving like he couldn't see halfway, stumbling, missing his aim, his coordination was obviously failing and the blind spot was so obvious to her!
So instead of telling Bruce or the League as she should, she decided to talk to him. The boy told her that he had a really bad accident and he still felt the aftermath (like her)
When Babs asked him if he had done rehab to recover and he shrugged saying that his powers had fixed it, she was horrified. It seemed that no one had taken the time to give him rehabilitation therapy, a few days in the hospital and he was considered cured!
The boy also admitted about losing sight in one of his eyes over time, but not doing anything because he felt ashamed about it. The boy thought that this disability made him less valuable in combat, that when he recognized it, he would have to stop being a hero! Babs couldn't help but get annoyed with whoever put such a stupid thought in the teenager's head.
So she made up her mind: She would teach that boy about the good path to recovery, and show him that an accident didn't have to ruin his life, she would teach him to to be proud of his newfound disability, because that didn't stop her from being a hero and it wouldn't stop him either.

Reading the books, I'm still imagining most of the characters like they are described. But even in the parts that haven't been filmed yet, it sometimes happens that Leah appears in my mind and I'm like "Oh, hell yes. She's gonna NAIL this scene."

okay so, recently I was replaying a game (won't say the title since this is a minor spoiler!) and at one point a character loses an eye, and there's a section where it shows him struggling to get used to this new lack of depth perception. even though i had an OC of my own who'd lost an eye, I'd never taken something like that into consideration. and then it made me think of your Zuko – and ofc whatever other Zukos have been imagined with a blind eye (which tbh I wish they'd allowed in the show but, oh well) – and how he might have to relearn firebending to some degree in the time after he'd been wounded by Ozai.
I just woke up so I'm not sure if I even had a question lmao but it's been stuck in my head for a little bit but, I also just love fanon Zuko lore that tbh I wish had been canon??
Hello! Partially blind Zuko never ceases to amaze me whenever I see a fanart or read a fic that depicts him like that.
There's a lot to be said about the damage done to him by Ozai, and Agni knows I'm a sucker for visual metaphors. The burn leaving Zuko half blind and deaf works for me as yet another metaphor of his dual nature. A permanent consequence of his father's hand covering his face in an attempt to silence him. To keep him isolated, weak, with only half of himself able to see the world as it is. A Blue Dragon who offers him the chance to close his eyes and rest.
The new lack of depth perception and the Agni Kai flashbacks would have made firebending torture for him. Zuko was already a failure and a coward. What kind of bender is afraid of his own element? What kind of Fire Prince can't stand the sight of a flame?
Healing is a tiring process, and though he may never see or hear as fully as he once did, he now knows fire for what it truly is. Life and destruction—two halves of a whole.

facial scar botw zelda?? YIPEE!!!!!
Mhm! I headcanon it was caused by a guardian a bit before this cutscene Not a direct hit but perhaps shrapnel from Link blocking it, or a burn scar from the heat of a massive laser going past.
Not only did it feel unrealistic to me that Zelda would be unscarred after a war where she clearly stood at the frontlines, but more importantly, facial differences are often only represented in scary movie villains. People with them face a lot of discrimination and I know this is just a small webcomic but I saw an opportunity to speak up and represent these things so I took it.
If you'd like to learn more, my friend made a good post that works as a great starting point on the subject! Find it here!

definitely think there should be a term for people whose glasses give them 100% vision while also acknowledging it's a disability.
like this isn't meant to be us vs them or whatever, but the experience of people whose low vision can't be corrected is very different from the experience of people whose glasses basically make them be able to pretty much lead a sighted life.
there's shit you'll never experience. it doesn't mean you're not disabled as your glasses are a disability aid, but i've also just had too many sighteds with glasses talk over me by trying to compare their experience to mine.
and idk why you all do that, like... i have flat feet, which without insoles causes me massive pain. but i do have shoe insoles which make me able to walk without any issues really. it's a disability because i need an aid, but fuck would i never compare my experience with this to that of a wheelchair user or someone using a cane. these experiences are so vastly fucking different. my flat feet or my insoles don't deny me access to certain buildings or areas. it would only fuck with me if i didn't have my insoles for some reason. it's still something that doesn't affect people without mobility disabilities at all, hence it's a disability but it's not comparable at all to mobility disabled people who don't have access to so many things.
someone whose glasses give them 100% vision still has access to basic shit like driving a car or reading regular print or being able to consume undescribed visual content. it would only really fuck with them if they didn't have their glasses for some reason. it's still something that wouldn't affect people who are sighted without glasses at all, hence it's a disability but it's not comparable at all to visually disabled people who don't have access to so many things.
and i wish more people would actually stay in their lane about stuff like this.

maybe it's because i have never seen euphoria and know literally nothing about it, so i haven't developed an aversion to him, but i think hunter schafer is such a pretty man, it's a shame he's kinda a weirdo

Progress has been made! The Not So Youngish Prince has decided that the smol child that looks a bit like him is a Keeper, and so Play Worthy.
As long as Mr Mung plays by the rules climbing on the Prince is allowed. The rules are the game stops when the Prince has had enough.
The fact that Mr Mung has replaced the baby needles with real teeth has helped, of course, as does the fact that he has learned some restraint. When his elders say "Enough!" he listens.
You can't force friendships, you can only give them the space and time to grow. And when introducing a large, powerful, coursing breed to anything smaller that could be prey it is wise to go carefully.
Mung is 5 months old, Grampa Prince is 10 years. The age difference alone could be an issue. The Prince, however, has decided that Mung is his Mini Me, and their playtime is something he looks forward to. Mr Mung has gained another fan. <3
Mr Mung, Silken Windhound, 5 months Grandpa Prince, Borzoi, 10 years, deaf and partially blind

would be so cool if artis little drone is like an accessibility tool more than just a thing that just kinda follows them around and unlocks fp's region gate. it makes sound cues. helps identify (common) objects. reminds arti of things. like when to eat. when the rain comes. like how the scav chiefs drone makes the danger sign towards arti. also helps translate things and reads them to artificer. its an overseer but cooler. idk i think this idea could be expanded more i just think its cool
