"No, it's-- it's alright, @ensnchekov. As you were."
A fond smile tugs at the corner of the admiral's mouth.
Tumblr media
"I wanted you to know that that was a damn fine piece of work back there. But I think you already know that." Not being able to fight the smile anymore, Jonathan Archer lets it fully take command, eyes crinkling at the corners. "I just thought you should hear it from me." // starter call!

"Leo and Pasha!"
I love AOS Bones and Chekov!!! They're the father-son ever!! My favourite AOS fic trope is scary doctor Bones having a soft spot ONLY for Chekov :)
Also they're so Leo and Mikey-coded! Older sibling/father-figure to his silly little brother my beloveds

One day Scotty and Chekov decided to compete. In the end they drank all the alcohol on the ship (even McCoy secret stash), both became very much drunk. Scotty still thinks that he won that competition. Btw, Scotty is one of a few people, who call Chekov Pasha instead of Pav (the correct version of his name, Pav is something Americans invented).
This is so cute!! Especially love Scotty calling Pasha, I can definitely see that. Scotty and Chekov friendship is underrated unfortunately

Info: So it just occured to me that one of the Defining scenes in the whole movie has been completely overlooked by the fandom.
Pasha went from being all like "check out my amazing transporter skills vat vith saving the keptin and my wery best friend from certain death." to utterly desolated and obviously blaming himself for the death of Spock's mom.
So the prompt is: Spock/Chekov, mutual comfort. with Pasha begging for forgiveness and Spock not wanting to let go even when he knows they are needed on the bridge. (thread)

Headcannon #1
Pavel Chekov x Reader
"and when the crowd screams out, I hope they're screaming your name"
- I lived, One Republic
Tumblr media
- okay, so you meet when he's travelled across half the globe to get to Starfleet
> his father doesn't have the money to pay for it, but San Fran is cheaper than Russia so if he wanted to go he never had much of a choice
- the first thing you think when you see him is that he's cute, but quite honestly he's too much trouble for you so you don't bother approaching him
- like him, your a child genius (except, fuck that your sixteen and can take care of yourself)
- you don't have any family or any way to pay tuition so you go into underground fighting pits to earn money
              > You're good. Scary good.
              > not so much strong as fast. You can run you opponents in circles
- so anyway, Pavel comes down there one night because he needs to pay his tuition but he's short so he volunteers to fight (you can tell its a last resort, you've seen him working his ass off in jobs no one wants to do)
              > he gets the crap kicked out of him
- so you decide, against your better judgement to help him. He needs the help anyway and it's not as much fun watching a kid get beaten up as the others make it out to be
- You train together for about an hour a night, which puts him ahead in some of his defense classes
- In return he helps you with assignments (your in linguistics not piloting why do you even need to know half of this?)
- he's patient and kind and you find yourself liking him way more than you should
- Eventually, the two of you rent a dirt cheap flat on the bad side if town and have to go to the underground rings less as things start to ease up
- That's when the shit hits the fan
- your out of training but the heatings fucked and it's the middle of an unusually cold winter so you go in for an extra round anyway.
- spolier: it doesn't go well
- hours later, Pasha (you started calling him it a while back after looking into Russian naming traditions - seriously, wtf? - and it's stuck) drags you into one of the hospitals because "yes, YN you do need to go to a hospital, I heard your ribs crack from 20 ft away"
- he has to go to class, but when he leaves he trips over his own feet and falls into you - you both laugh and he goes red
- the doctor who reads you is a southerner who introduces himself as McCoy and asks you, frankly, if it was your boyfriend that put you "through a goddamn blender"
- you didn't know who he was talking about until he says "that Russian kid that brought you in"
              > you realise he must have thought Pasha kissed you instead of almost face planting the floor
- that's when you start laughing because, seriously? You and Pasha? Come on,
- McCoy just stares you down and you tell him it was a bar fight that got out of hand
- he shakes his head, excepting your story even though he doesn't believe it and gives you a number to call for the next time you get hurt
> he doesn't tell you that you look like a grown up version of his Joanna and it breaks his heart a little to see her in pain and so he protects you in her place but you work it out eventually, many years on
- life goes on as normal but the idea of you and Pasha together floats in the back of your mind, growing larger and larger and larger until you can barely ignore it any more
- then there's a distress signal from Vulcan
- your put on the USS Enterprise with Pasha and Nyota (after she persuades Spock that it wouldn't be favouritism to let her on) and the three of you are getting towards death
- when things settle down and you and Pasha get back to your shitty flat in between an alley famous for drug addicts overdosing and an illegal gambling bar you both curl up on your ratty sofa till the early hours of the morning
- "Pasha," you whisper as the sun starts to peak of the city skyline, "I really like you"
- he looks at you silently for a minute and your almost afraid you've gone to far
- "I really like you too."
- And a new day dawns
> you both smile

"Kissy! Kissy!” Chekov babbled while clapping his hands. Jim chuckled as he leant down and blew a raspberry on Chekov’s cheek, making the toddler squeal in delight, before Jim pecked him on the nose.
Chekov smiled brightly up at the captain before pointing at Spock rather messily. “Now, ‘Pock, foo! Kissy kissy Mish’r ‘Pock, foo!”
The request made Jim's face turn red as he avoided his first officer's gaze to run his hands across the toddler's hair and face. "I don't think Mr. Spock would like that, Pasha, let's save all of my kisses for you, okay?"
The response made Chekov frown, his eyes growing sad as tears bubbled up at his eyes. Jim instantly panicked, already thinking of possible solutions to make Chekov smile again but, before he could even get to solution number two, fingers tilted his head sideways as Spock leant in and gave Jim a peck on the cheek.

Nova Part 3
Daughter of Stars Starchild Nova Part 1 Part 2
“We should see if we can salvage any food on the way, before it gets harder,” Jacob said quietly.
“That’s a good-” JT started to say when he was cut off by a piercing scream, young and afraid.
Alessia took off running towards the scream.
“See if you can find any food, and then meet us- at the old waterwheel,” JT said before following his sister.
Alessia ran, all of her body focused on getting to the screams. JT wasn't able to catch up until she slowed as the sounds of struggle and adult voices became audible under the screams.
They peered cautiously around a tree to see a pair of soldiers struggling to hold on to the desperately flailing Alekseyev girls. Alessia's jaw clenched and she prepared to lunge out and try to stop them, but JT stopper her with two fingers to her wrist.
She turned to him with a glare, but he just gestured towards several large rocks. Eyes lighting, she nodded and they each grabbed one.
In tandem they stepped out and brought the rocks crashing down on the soldiers unprotected necks. Alessia downed her soldier with one blow, but JT had to hit a second time.
The girls scrabbled away, sobbing, and Alessia knelt down in front of them.
"Nadezhda, Alyona, it's all right, they won't hurt you, JT and I won't let them," she said in as firm and gentle a voice as she could manage.
"D'you promise?" the girls asked.
Alessia hesitated but JT did not.
"We promise," he said firmly.
Alessia shot him a frown but he just clenched his jaw and hugged Nadezhda and Alyona, who had crept over to him.
"Are either of you hurt?" he asked.
Mutely they showed him their wrists, red and chafed and starting to bloom purple-green where the soldiers had gripped their wrists. JT sucked in a sympathetic hiss.
"Anywhere else?" he asked.
They shook their heads and then Alyona tugged on his wrist.
"Pasha kept running," she said, eyes dark.
"He's here?" JT asked, eyebrows raising as Alessia scanned their surroundings warily.
They nodded.
"We told him to keep running and hide," Nadezhda said.
"Then we better go find him before someone else does, huh," JT said with a quirk of his lips.
"Yes, but first…" Alessia said, and started rummaging through the soldiers' pockets.
While JT and the girls stared, she found ammo, some electronics, and a few rations. She pocketed it all and shouldered the rifles.
"Let's go," she said.
The four of them headed deeper into the woods, calling out "Pasha!" as loudly as they dared.
Finally there was a rustle and a pair of bright eyes under a mop of curls appeared.
"Nadya? Alya?" he asked.
"Pasha!" Nadezhda and Alyona cried, rushing over to hug him.
The three chattered in Russian for several long minutes before looking expectantly at JT and Alessia.
"I ran," Pasha said solemnly.
"Really far!" JT agreed. "You tired now?"
Pasha nodded.
"Then how about I give you a ride," JT said, kneeling down.
Pasha scrambled onto his back and JT rose, carrying him piggyback.
"Where are the others?" Alessia asked.
"They were gonna try to get food and then meet us at the old water wheel," JT answered.
Alessia looked around and then pointed.
"If we go that way we should end up at Millers Creek and then we can follow it downstream," she said.
JT nodded and then frowned up at the canopy.
"It'll be full dark by the time we get there," he noted.
"Then we'd better get walking," Alessia said sharply.

Hello~ I have a question about how friends would call Chekov: from your point of view, who do you think would call him by his last name, who would call him Pavel and who would call him "Pasha"? (thinking more about the AOS dynamics) 🤔 Also, I've recently discovered the meaning (Pavel) and I'm 🥺
Hi!
I think the most common way to call Pavel among friends is Pasha. It's the short version of this name, like Mike for Michael, and usually we call friends Pasha (sometimes Pashok or Pavlik). I can imagine him introducing himself like: My name is Pavel, but you can call me Pasha.
I think Uhura, Kirk and Sulu might call him Pasha :) For everyone else he can be Pavel or Chekov, because it's a very famous name and it is easy for people who don't speak Russian to say it. Except for Scotty - I feel like Simon Pegg's Scotty would have some nickname for him. And Bones probably will call him something else but his name :D
For Spock it's ensign Chekov most of the times, I think :D (maybe in private he calls him Pavel).
I really like that Pavel stands for "small, little", but I feel like they named it after Anton Chekhov, because his middle name (which is not the same middle name as in USA, it is actually name of the father) is Pavlovich ("son of Pavel"). But yeah, it suits him a lot :))

To Get Back to Your Side
Pt. 16
The equipment was old-fashioned, but McCoy had made due and now he was much more certain of his treatment of Spock’s injury.
“He needs some time to rest. And something to drink, it feels like it’s been ages.”
McCoy’s own throat suddenly felt parched. He’d kept himself and Spock going but when was the last time they’d had anything?
“I will get something,” the woman said. “You help,” she continued, pointing at Chekov.
They disappeared to the back of the mess hall.
“The artifact is from this planet,” Spock said to Jim.
“Nope,” McCoy said, cutting him off. “Rest and food first. Then plans. Doctor’s—”
“Orders,” Spock finished.
Jim and Scotty gave the pair a look.
“You could use a clean up too, Bones,” Jim said, motioning at the dried blood along the side of the doctor‘s face.
The woman and Chekov returned. Jim helped Spock sit up enough to drink.
“Here Dr. Bones,” the woman said. She pushed a cup at him.
McCoy laughed at the name.
“My name is Leonard McCoy.”
“James T calls you ‘Bones,’” she said furrowing her brow.
“James T is quite annoying,” McCoy fondly smiled. “Who are you?”
“I am Jaylah.”
“She is quite the engineer,” Scotty said. He threw a friendly arm around the woman’s shoulders and squeezed. “And she’s good in a fight.”
“Thank you Montgomery Scotty.”
“Come on Len, let’s get you cleaned up,” said Scotty.
He dropped his arm from Jaylah and extended it to his fiancé. McCoy didn’t hesitate. He wanted at least one moment alone with his love before they had to start thinking about the crew.
McCoy sat quietly at the back of the mess with Scotty. The engineer had found a cloth and some water and was cleaning off the doctor’s face. McCoy closed his eyes a moment and just thanked everything he could that they were back together safe.
He smiled when he opened his eyes and watched Scotty smile back.
“I was so worried,” he said quietly.
“Me too love,” Scotty said back.
They were quiet again while Scotty wrung out the cloth.
“How’d you get away Len?”
“Turbolift, you?”
“Torpedo tube. It was a rough ride let me tell you.”
McCoy went silent as Scotty continued to dab the wet cloth at the dried blood on his face. His whole body felt like a heartbeat as he watched the other man concentrating.
“Marry me Monty.”
Scotty’s hand froze and he chuckled.
“I’ve already said yes love.”
McCoy took Scotty’s other hand in both of his.
“No, now. I thought I’d lost you. The last days were hell not knowing and working overtime to not think the worst. I don’t want to go through today or tomorrow or anymore days without knowing we truly belong to each other. I know we wanted to wait, but I can’t anymore. Marry me, right now.”
The color rose on Scotty’s face as he lowered the hand with the cloth.
“Ok. Yes, alright. How?”
“I have an idea,” McCoy said.
“What?” Jim asked again.
“In Earth's past, captains of naval ships were allowed that privilege,” McCoy said. “Does it still apply?”
Jim stared at him blankly.
“You want me to marry you two?”
“Yes,” Scotty answered.
“Right now?”
“Yes,” McCoy said.
“I don—”
“Captain,” Spock interrupted, grabbing Jim’s arm. “I believe you have that privilege.”
Jim blinked and then nodded slowly.
“Uh, ok. Let’s do this. I guess,” he said. “Spock you rest. Uh, Pasha I guess you be best man,” he pointed to McCoy’s side. “And Jaylah you be best woman.” Jim pointed her to Scotty’s side.
“I do not know what—”
“It’s fine lass,” Scotty chuckled. “Just stand here. It means you’re a witness.”
“Are you really sure about this?” Jim asked. “I don’t even really know what to say.”
“Yes Jim,” McCoy replied. He took Scotty’s hand in his.
“Ok. Um, we are gathered here today, to witness these two, in sight of a nebula, join together as one.” Jim shifted from one foot to the other. “Any objections?” He looked around at the other three. They seemed as lost as him.
“Uh, good. No objections. Do you have vows or something?” Jim asked.
“Oh! Umm,” Scotty said in surprise. “Ahh, I never want to be without ye again mo gràdh. I was lost in here without you,” Scotty tapped his free hand over his heart. He finished with something in Gaelic that made McCoy both grin and flush.
Jim wished Uhura was around to tell them what Scotty had said.
“Monty, leannan, you’re my home,” McCoy said, with a wide, loving smile. He gave a nod to Jim to let him know he was done.
“Ok, so I guess with the Starfleet power invested in me I pronounce you…, uh…, whose name are you gonna use?”
McCoy and Scotty glanced at each other. Scotty shrugged.
“Doesn’t matter,” McCoy answered Jim.
“Alright. I pronounce you Mr. and Mr. Scott-McCoy. You may ki…” Jim began to chuckle. Scotty had pulled McCoy for a kiss before Jim had finished speaking.
To be continued…

Info: In order for a mission to be a success one of the crew has to perform a sexy dance. Cue Chekov, who secretly took classes in pole dancing. and everyone else being like "VTF? I can't belive this smoldering lil sex kitten is our darling Pasha." except Spock. because He's seen it before. and he's smug about it 'cause he's gonna tap that again when they get back to the ship.
