Walker Episode Bracket
"Past is Prologue" beat out "Blinded by the Light" by a decent margin. But how will it fare against the next contender, 3x12 "Best Laid Plans"?
In this episode, Cassie and Cordell are brought into James and Trey's secret plan to infiltrate Grey Flag, which leaves Cassie feeling more than a little disprespected as she finds out almost everyojne in her life is lying to her. But James has looped them in now and he trusts that they can help. He brings Cassie along with him to stakeout the next part of Trey's mission while Cordell has another meeting with Julia to get some intel from one of her contacts. Trey's mission goes awry when his new "partner" is shot and Cassie risks the mission to help him save her life. However, this grants him access to The Compound, an offer Trey gladly takes up since he's worried that having his friends too close to him will take his eyes off the mission. In the meantime, Cordell and Julia grow closer and he laments over his mistakes with his former leader Clay Cooper and how he dropped the ball in dealing with his family. Things get even more complicated for him when he learns that not only is Cooper's mother dead, but the man himself never actually died.
Back at the ranch, Liam and Stella are almost done setting up the Horse Rescue on the Walker property. As they finish setting up the structure, August calls Kevin in to help, much to the chagrin of his family. August is excited to show off to his new mentor but Abby has her concerns over Kevin's genuineness.

Naedr - Past is Prologue
I haven't had a reaction to an album like this in a long time honestly. It's extremely hard to believe this is their debut. Absolutely unreal work of art. At multiple points it gave me goosebumps and chills. The reaction I had to Disquiet isn't going to leave me for awhile, it was visceral, even after 5+ plays on that track it sends me into chills and a state of raw emotion. This band is seriously something special.

I love your take on Crowley!
I know that the early, non-Diasomnia stories aren't really your thing, but are you reading the novels at all?
I have been following some of the fan translations and the second book seems intense! Would love to hear what you think about them.
thank you! 💚💚💚 I'm not really sure why you think I don't like the earlier arcs though, I love pretty much all the characters and their storis! (I think 5 and 1 are my favorite of the past episodes, though 6 infected me with the Shroud brainrot something fierce.) I just...ESPECIALLY love diasomnia. :') but there is room in my heart for all of these dweebs! like, who among us is not just as ride-or-die for Adeuce as they are for us.
Tumblr media
that said, I don't really follow the other adaptations like the manga (aside from a dip-in just to see the new Yuus) or the novels, though I keep meaning to check them out! I do like seeing the differences between the different forms of media, and how certain things get adapted one way or another! but alas, time/a lack of accessibility stands in our way more often than not. :( someday...someday I will have time to consume all of the media...

Walker Episode Bracket
"Blinded by the Light" took "Cry Uncle" by a landslide! But how will it fare against 3x11, "Past is Prologue"?
In this episode, Cordell lets Cassie in on what he and Julia discovered in the last episode. Cassie is miffed that he's trusting Julia so wholeheartedly and suggests checking in on some of the odd deaths first. This leads to him confronting the widow of one of his old Marine buddies and experiencing some painful flashbacks. After mostly confirming Julia's theory true, they decide to go check in on the last remaining Marine, Tommy, to make sure he hasn't been taken in by Grey Flag as well. Unfortunately, they get there too late and Tommy is nearly dead at the hands of a Grey Flag assailant. Cassie goes chasing after the perpetrator while Cordell stays by his Marine brother's side. Cassie's chase, unfortunately, ends in the death of the man who killed Tommy, but it does yield evidence that forces them to call James and let him in on what they know.
In the meantime, it looks like Trey has found a new job opportunity with some shady individuals that give him an odd "test" to confirm if he's right for the job. Just when we fear that he's going to the dark side, we learn that this whole mess was actually a setup for him to go on an undercover mission.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Stella and Liam are working on setting up the horse rescue. Bonham isn't exactly pleased that his son is leaving the family business but, after some thought and talking with Abby, he's mostly just happy to see his son so passionate about something again, even if it wasn't the path he would've chosen for Liam.
