Necrosis of the pyramidal neurons
The classic necrotic neuron is the "dead red". Shrunken, angular, and hypereosinophilic (red) with a pyknotic nucleus, scattered dead neurons can be associated with a wide range of neurologic disease. Necrosis of the pyramidal neurons in the hippocampus is commonly associated with seizure activity, particularly in the CA2 and CA3 regions. Whether this necrosis is the cause or effect of the seizure activity is not always entirely clear, although it is typically attributed to the abnormal electrical activity and hypoxia associated with seizures.

November 6th 1885 saw the birth of Sir William Leishman, Scottish bacteriologist.
Leishman was born in Glasgow and followed his father into medicine, graduating from the University of Glasgow in 1886.  After this he took a commission in the Royal Army Medical Corps.   It was whilst serving in India that he began his lifelong research into microbiology and public health.  It was while he was an assistant Professor there in 1900 that he identified the causative parasite of Dum-dum fever (now known as leishmaniasis)
Returning to England to work at the Army Medical School at Netley, he became Assistant Professor of Pathology.
He was knighted in 1909, became a fellow of the Royal Society in 1910, was President of the Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene 1911-1912, and honorary physician to King George.  For over a decade, he worked to produce an effective vaccine against typhoid.  When war began in August 1914, 170,000 doses were issued to the troops. It is estimated that, without it, there would have been about 551,000 cases of typhoid and over 77,000 deaths. Thanks to the vaccine, there were only 1,191 deaths from 21,139 cases.
During the war Leishman was the War Office's expert on tropical diseases.  He worked on committees, and with the British Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders.  He continued to discover more and more about the conditions that affected the troops, including the new ones arising from trench warfare, like trench fever.  His ability to research and apply his knowledge in practical contexts made him especially valuable.

Pathologist - Putrefactive And Cadaverous Odes About Necroticism
Another classic Goregrind record because I’m a one trick pony who loves to beat that shit into the dirt. This one has much more Death metal influences so the riffs are much tighter and the production is nice and clean. You can also see the development of that snap crackle pop ass gutter vocals that have become a staple of the genre now. Genuinely a great listen if you want to listen to songs that ooze blood and reek of rotting flesh.

Eloquently put by • @pathologeek 🎃 Halloween is next Monday! This will be our last post about diseases that may have inspired Halloween characters. At least for this year. So last but not least: 👰 A Monster’s Bride 👰 Today we’ll review a skin / hair condition commonly depicted on Frankenstein’s bride and also seen on Lily Munster: the streak of white hair. A medical condition that may have inspired this characteristic hair is known as Poliosis circumscripta. For starters, this nothing spooky, evil, or even different about people who have Poliosis. And you shouldn’t judge anyone with it in any way. Poliosis is defined as a localized patch of white hairs, and it is actually a clinical sign not an specific diagnosis. This is important to point out, because it can be associated with multiple diseases, from genetic syndromes to autoimmune diseases and even neoplastic entities or as a side effect to a topical or systemic drug. Above you can review some slides that show the microscopic characteristics of white versus black hair, and also some examples of skin diseases that can manifest themselves as poliosis. While we opened with a reference to the classic brides of Frankenstein’s monster, this feature is common in several beloved Halloween characters, as well as in novels such as The Mallens by Catherine Cookson, Rogue in the X-Men, and even Cruella de Vil in 101 Dalmatians. All of which would make excellent characters to dress up as this old Hallows Eve!!! #vitiligo #alopecia #halonevus #biology #poliosis #histology #pathologist #pathology #surgicalpathology #histopathology #medicine #medstudent #medicaleducation #pathologeek #pathologyresidents #medicalresident #medschool #medicalstudent #premed #pathologyassistant #histo #pathologylab #laboratory #HALLOWEEN https://www.instagram.com/p/CkOcWU5jb0zmSOcFXDO8EszjCV7gqHwZkhuJww0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Top Pathologist Sounds the Alarm: ‘52% Increase in Turbo Cancer for Vaxxed’
A top pathologist has warned that there has been a 55% increase in turbo cancers among the 18 to 69 year old population since the jab rollout.
Tumblr media
Ivana Pavic did an extensive study in Croatia that found that while 55% of the 18 to 69 year olds are vaccinated, 65% of the carcinoma cases in that age group had one or more shots.
Steve Kirsch reports: If you do the math, it means that the COVID vaccines increased your risk of getting cancer by a whopping 52%. Did they warn you about that before they gave you the shots?
I called up John Beaudoin and he was nonplussed: “I’m surprised it was so low.”
In short, this is a train wreck, and there is no other explanation for this differential since the only difference between the groups was whether they were vaccinated or not.
IN THE POST-PANDEMIC ERA OF COVID: EPIDEMIOLOGICAL COUNTERMEASURES AND THE POTENTIAL OF „MALIGNANT DISEASES EPIDEMIC“
The math
The easiest way to visualize this is you start with 100 people: 55 vax, 45 unvaxxed.
Suppose your cancer risk is 10% for both groups.
Then you’d have 5.5 and 4.5 which is 55% vaxxed.
To get to a 65% ratio, it would mean that more vaxxed people got cancer: 8.342 people.
So you then take 8.342/5.5=1.517.
So a 52% increase over baseline risk.
Summary
Ivana isn’t taking any shots and she doesn’t recommend them for anyone.
She is not alone. Hardly anyone in Croatia is opting for the shots anymore either, even though 99% of the doctors recommend them as safe and effective. Maybe I can get one of them to come on camera with me to explain their recommendation.
