basic stuff

-each agency is a clan, not each unit. 14-15 clans would be silly and then we would have some clans with 5 cats and some with 2.

-starpro -> lightclan. i couldn’t call them “starclan” for obvious reasons. light is somewhat synonymous with star, so i’m going with that.

-cospro -> nightclan. i don’t think the cats in warriors know the word “cosmic”, but cosmic implies cosmos implies night sky, so we’re going with night

-rhyth lin -> rippleclan. ripple is sort of a synonym to rhythm….? this one was hard

-new di -> fortuneclan. this one is a stretch but neither “new” or “dimension” have synonyms that really fit a clan name. fortune is something that relates to multiple characters in new di though

-starclan still sort of exists, but the cats do not believe in them the way they do in warriors. they are more of a nursery tale than anything, and select cats (ex: tatsumi) believe in them, but it is not written into their code. medicine cats can still interpret signs, but they do not necessarily think of them as coming from starclan.

-medicine cat forbidden romance is not a thing here

-intermingling of clans is ok and common

-there’s like. other cats in their clans besides just the enstars cast i assume

-tsukasa -> scarletstar (scarletblossom) . he is the leader of fortuneclan because he is one of the new di reps for the summits. both scarlet and blossom were chosen bc of his last name (scarlet is a red color… kinda similar to cherry…. and blossom for the cherry blossom).

-leo -> lionheart. ok this one is kind of cheating because lionheart is already an existing warrior, but…come on….

-izumi -> silverspring. sora describes his color as silver, and spring is in his first name

-ritsu -> frostmoon. his first name means cold moon according to the wiki so i just rehashed it

-naru -> goldenroar. since she doesn’t like her first name i didn’t want to use “storm”, and her last name can be read as “thunder” but that’s a little too close to storm? so golden for her hair and roar for her last name

switch

-natsume -> sageeye. a sage is similar to a wizard, and eye is in his first name . also the “dovesong” mentioned is wataru :)

-tsumugi -> bluewing. he is a bluebird. warrior cats probably wouldn’t straight up call a cat “bluebird” so i put wing there instead. deputy cause he’s the vp

-sora -> skyspring . sora means sky. spring is in his last name. i could have used “stream” instead to differentiate him from sena but i think spring is cuter

finished my first colorwork sweater!!!!

( @trashpandacraft was right it probably could do with one more blocking sesh but tbh it's Good Enough and I was excited to wear it and also my blocking set up is in the most inconvenient place possible so.)

#wow I thought the colorwork part took a long time.... #i had to undo the the neckline for the front and back because the armseye wasn't deep enough #and then I made up the sleeves as i went because they didnt match the pattern anymore #but I also messed up the sizing (got my inches and centimeters mixed up lol) #but that just gave me a cropped sweater which i like so i didnt go bacl to fix that #and even tho i went down a needle size the stitches came out a touch loose and the fabric where there is no #colorwork is quite mesh like #so i have to wear a cami under when im at work but i do that with all my pullovers regardless of fabric so thats no biggie. #but the pros now. #the linen and silk are so comfy for my bad body heat managment ass #i will be wearing this sweater in the summer. did some good progress on my wizard robe today

#wind howls #it took me a while to look for a pattern. every single result was either costly or hp related and i wanted neither #in the end i threw caution to the wind and just kinda. made it up as i went #im happy to report that it went pretty well ! #and i made a really good hood for my robe ! from scratch ! no pattern ! and its lined and hemmed #and im Very proud of it :3 #i wont be able to work on it tomorrow... but ill be working on it this weekend. ill add the hems to the sleeves and robe before- #i connect the side seams. itll look clean hopefully.... but i do have to trim the bottom of the robe first. its far too long lol #ill also add a middle panel thats yellow bc thats my secondary color :) then ill make the wizard hat #and if i have time left... ill add constellations and stars all around the robe. ideally sewn. if not ill either not do it or paint them on #but i also have an animation to finish and hand in by monday so i really should work on that first. thats a priority #and after all. halloween is on tuesday and i only have class at 2 pm #so if i wake up early then i can add more details and whatnot. i got this. im happy !!

Making a swatch right now for the yellow yarn, but I think I'm going to try to make another directional scarf with these two colors. I'm still going to give the green one as a gift. I wouldn't mind that massive mistake I made as much, if it weren't for the fact that it makes it constantly want to curl in half. We'll see if I learned from last time and whether or not I know how to cast on from the sides properly. We'll see.

I also did this scarf a while ago, but wasn't much of a fan of the color. Looking at the picture now, it does seem rather colorful, in hindsight. It has some wool in it, so it should be warmer. I have another one much like it, but it's white instead of the grey that goes throughout it, so that's probably why this one looked 'meh' to me.

Maybe I'll send this one to my grandma, too. I still need to block both of these scarves regardless: I just don't have enough blocking segments to fit even one fully, let alone two.

Something I noticed with the grey rainbow wool scarf is that it always seems to get a bit wider when it reaches the purple sections. Hopefully blocking it will help mitigate that.

#a bit of a gloomy post so feel free to skip #but i noticed myself bottling up grief again and i feel like punching myself in the face #i noticed a pattern of me just repressing and pushing it to the back of my mind more than i did in the past months #i think i had a period of time where i let myself express and feel how much i miss jonghyun more than i do now #i feel like i was a bit more vocal (not necessarily to others in whatever form) and honest about how it felt #but now it's just such a mess in my mind #today was so weird because i took my friend to her workplace and when driving back home i played my jonghyun playlist #and all of a sudden i got very gloomy and started crying my eyes out and couldn't stop #it felt like such a punch to the stomach #i had to stop the car for a little and collect myself because it was just bad #and i felt really scared because i get the feeling i'm going back to the dark place i was in a while ago #i can't tell if it's because december is approaching or if i just have these recurring periods of time where i just cannot bear it #everytime i try to talk about it to my therapist i just freeze #the words get stuck somewhere in the middle and i don't know how many times i've attempted to talk about it and couldn't #i'm just really sad and i don't think pushing the thoughts away will do much #other than just make it pile up within me and then make me blow up like this

ok so! uh! normally this is the moment where id go "i have a normal amount of feelings about this movie [through tears]" but that actually isnt the case this time. guess i just didnt like it as much as all the other movies in the franchise

#there were a lot of things i didnt like #for example there were a handful of plot holes to me most notably the fact that scotty was on the enterprise b when kirk 'died' #because. if that was 73 years before the movie takes place‚ and THAT was roughly 2-3 years after the tng episode relics took place #then after being freed from the transporter pattern buffer after being in there for 80 YEARS #he would have KNOWN kirk was dead #but in the episode he says 'i bet jim kirk himself hauled the old gal out of mothballs to come looking for me' #thats usually not how you talk about someone who has (to you) been dead for 7 years. #now of course that kind of timeline fluke isnt the end of the world but. well........ i guess i kinda expected better? #i sound sooooo fuckin mean and nitpicky here but trust me thats not the only reason i was disappointed #i was also upset that they essentially made data a comic relief character throughout the majority of the movie? #he had like 3 actual emotional moments and the rest was just silly goofs. he doesnt deserve to be treated like that #(although his life form song was sick. i will admit) #and soran as a character was just kinda...... disappointing. he was a cheesy villain with a pretty iffy motive #not to mention they COMPLETELY missed the chance to give us the opportunity to explore guinan more. she DEFINITELY deserved more screentime #all she was in this movie was. well? just a support character who offered a little advice and explanation and then left #that upset me a bit too bc i love guinan soooo much #i guess overall it didnt. have like. a distinct feel to it. it kinda just felt like a long tng episode with a higher budget #(but evidently not that much to show for it) #the other star trek movies were so very obviously their own THING‚ separated from the original series #though i think that may have had a little to do with the movies taking place a while AFTER tos ended #whereas this movie took place like. really pretty shortly after the end of tng #that said i wanna make it clear i liked the movie. it just doesnt really hold much of a candle to the first 6 #also what kinda gayass last words are 'oh‚ my' like htrghoieruhgoug ok gayboy #ANYWAY!!!!! thats my thoughts on star trek generations i guess. it wasnt as good as id hoped but still good for the most part #i only cried like. once. and that wasnt even actual crying it was just tearing up a little bit -_- #and i didnt have to take that many hyperfixation stim breaks either.... #well either way im glad to have finished it! now i can go back to rewatching tos ^___^ #also reading first best destiny YAYYY #can u believe its only 4am. i finished this movie like. super quickly compared to the other ones LAWL

Accusations against Hamas are endlessly reheated to paint a picture of a supremely dangerous and bestial militant group, in turn rationalising the slaughter and starvation of Gaza’s population to “eradicate” it as a terrorist organisation. But equally barbarous atrocities committed by Israel – not in the heat of battle, but in cold blood – are treated as unfortunate, isolated incidents that cannot be connected, that paint no picture, that reveal nothing of import about the military that carried them out. If Hamas’ crimes were so savage and sadistic they still need to be reported months after they took place, why does the establishment media never feel the need to express equal horror and indignation at equivalent or worse acts of cruelty and sadism being inflicted by Israel on Gaza – not five months ago, but right now? Israel's torture of doctors, its sexual assaults of Palestinian women, it's leaving premature babies to die after its forces stormed a hospital. Where is the outrage? "Hm...so what you're saying is 'this will be glowing constantly'?" As if to accentuate his point, Bless pressed the small device- watching as it lit up and pulsed in each of his partner's hands. "...I think I may need to start wearing a belt...this feels too precious for storage." He turned the small device over in his hand. A soft smile had found its way onto Bless' face. Somehow- it felt more intimate than a text or a call- something just for the three of them.

"...c'mere." Node didn't want to clip the keychain to their shorts just yet- no, instead, they had set their box aside- reaching with both arms to drag the mobians into a hug. Anyone could see the way the tips of their ears were burning a faint pink, but they didn't care. "....thank you, V...." There was a far fainter mumbling underneath that- a quiet utterance.

"I love you guys." A gentle Valentine's...presents and small gifts that meant so much...it was any wonder there were wagging tails and gentle smiles. Node was still clutching their new favorite keychain in one hand- and pressed down on it even as they squeezed Volt and Bless for a moment more.
