I do want to say altho I'm very pro shoplifting it is not something to take lightly. it is something that can and WILL get u in a lot of trouble if you get caught at the wrong place and wrong time. I know a lot of people will get comfortable with it and not think much of doing it but u really do have to be careful and smart Abt it . The best case scenario of getting caught is u get banned from a store you probably really like and worst is you get arrested and have charges pressed against you

I love how Dune references Greek mythology in the name of its main characters.
When we initially meet the Atreides family, in both the original book and the new movies, they look like this very honourable, very stereotypical "good" fantasy family. We are seemingly meant to root for them like the Starks in A Song of Ice and Fire.
They visually appear much nicer and likeable than the Harkonnens whose entire aesthetic just screams evil. The Harkonnens are portrayed as violent and impulsive. They only wear black. They look inhuman. They are even shown to be cannibals.
However, the name Atreides is already a tip-off that they are just as fucked up as the Harkonnens. Because Atreides means House of Atreus, from whom the Atreides claim to be descendants.
This means they are the descendants of Tantalos, who served his own son to the gods.
Of his grandson Atreus, who was killed by his nephew born of an incestuous relationship.
Of Agamemnon, who sacrificed his own daughter Iphigenia to the gods to go fight in the Trojan war.
Of Clytemnestra, who killed her husband in revenge for her daughter's death.
And of Orestes, who in turn killed his mother to avenge his father.
So, despite their pretty faces and their nice clothes and luscious hair, the Atreides are ultimately the same as the Harkonnens (Leto and the Baron refer to each other as cousin, Jessica and Paul are literally direct descendants of the Baron).
So, even though on first impression the Atreides might look heroic, but with just a glance under the surface and you can already tell that they are as rotten to the core as the Harkonnens. They're just nicer to look at, and therefore, they dupe you into believing that they are the good guys.

I don't understand people getting upset over the microtransactions in Dragon's Dogma 2 since literally everything they are selling is easily acquired in game just by playing the game. This is pretty standard Capcom practice for the past like 6 years now: in order for Capcom to release your game you have to have a bunch of microtransactions, so developers have been complying by putting nonsense stuff up there to sell for the lazy or busy. The past like 4 Resident Evils did this. Monster Hunter does this. EVEN DMC5 LET YOU BUY RED ORBS, WHICH YOU GET IN THE THOUSANDS BY KILLING A HANDFUL OF ENEMIES.
None of it is exclusive.
All of it is acquired in game, just by playing the game.
It's basically just a Capcom-Developer requirement that has been going on for years and yet everyone is freaking out about it ...now? Literally just don't buy it. Just like you didn't buy it for RE7/8, MonHun, DMC5, etc etc.

I fear your answer but, What will you do if a tornado actually appears near your house?
Tumblr media
jk no but we get tornados very commonly, and people who live in these areas tend to be the people that stare outside and look at the sky (not smart) but we usually don't take it seriously because they set off the sirens and warnings for even the slightest bit of a chance.
However, we can usually tell the difference between winds/sever thunderstorm and what might actually be a deadly situation, so take shelter, cover, ect. Do all the works. I used to have a basement in my old home but not anymore, so in a serious situation its either the hallway or (if i have enough time, meaning to gather all the animals) its a drive down the block to the nearest storm shelter
