All violence is injustice. We should not inflict that injustice on ourselves or on other people. Historians and teachers as well as politicians should look deeply at the suffering caused by wars, not just at the justifications that governments give for them. We have to teach our children the truth about war so they learn from our experiences and understand that violence and war are not the right way, that they are not the right actions to take. We have to show our children that people on both sides of war… are victims of the ignorance and violence rooted in their societies and governments.
- Thich Nhat Hanh, in "Creating True Peace".

Quote
The primitive Christians not only refused to be enlisted in the army, but when any embraced Christianity while already enlisted, they abandoned the profession at whatever cost. Marcellus was a centurion in a legion. While holding this commission, he became a Christian. And believing, in common with his fellow Christians, that war was no longer permitted to him, he threw down his belt at the head of the legion, declaring that he had become a Christian, and that he would serve no longer. He was committed to prison. But he was still faithful to Christianity. ‘It is not lawful’, said he, ‘for a Christian to bear arms for any earthly consideration’. In consequence, he was put to death. Almost immediately afterward, Cassian, a notary to the same legion, gave up his office. He steadfastly maintained the sentiments of Marcellus, and like him was consigned to the executioner. The reason Martin of Tours gave for his abandonment of arms was nothing more than, ‘I am a Christian, and therefore I cannot fight’.
Example and Testimony of the Early Christians on the Subject of War, by Jonathan Dymond, 1821

Frans de Waal Changed How We Think About Animals, Ourselves Included
The great primatologist Frans de Waal died last week, of stomach cancer, to the great sadness of his many admirers, myself among them.  His radically different view of primate behavior, and his gift for writing about it gracefully in a series of popular books, have placed him among the leaders of a quiet revolution in our ideas about the animal world and about ourselves. Harvard University…

And when UN Sec-Gen. Guterres was in Kyiv, Putin sent him a farewell gift by bombing the city to show his disrespect for international law and peacemaking efforts.
Russia launches missile attack on Kyiv during UN Secretary General visit
Putin is having a violent, extended temper tantrum because he can’t seize Ukraine. He hasn’t psychologically advanced past his 2nd birthday. That’s another way in which Putin and Donald Trump are alike.

Biblical Wisdom for Handling Anger: Embracing the BULLETS Approach

Biblical Wisdom for Handling Anger: Embracing the BULLETS Approach
Dealing with anger is not easy.
Dealing with anger is an everyday challenge, and for Christians, it presents a unique opportunity to demonstrate Christ's teachings of love, patience, and humility. While conflict is inevitable, our response to it can either escalate or diffuse the situation. In this blog, Biblical Wisdom for Handling Anger, we explore the BULLETS acronym, combining practical advice with biblical wisdom, to navigate such encounters as peacemakers.
Embracing the BULLETS Approach
Be Seated When encountering anger, our first step is to seek a moment of calm. Psalm 37:8 advises us to refrain from anger and forsake wrath. By inviting the other person to sit, we create a space for peaceful dialogue. This act is not just about physical posture but an internal readiness to engage respectfully, reflecting Christ’s composure in times of conflict. Use the Person's Name In addressing someone by name, we follow Christ's example of personal engagement, as seen in His interactions with Peter (John 21:15-17). This approach shows respect and attentiveness, essential in affirming the individual's worth, irrespective of their behavior. Lower Your Voice "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger" (Proverbs 15:1). Our tone can either soothe or aggravate a situation. By consciously lowering our voice, we extend an olive branch, inviting a shift from hostility to dialogue. Listen Active listening is a cornerstone of effective communication. As James 1:19 advises, we should be "quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger." This means genuinely striving to understand the root of the other person's anger and acknowledging their feelings, creating an environment conducive to healing. Eliminate Humor Humor, especially in tense situations, can be misinterpreted as insensitivity. Ephesians 4:29 reminds us to use words that build up and fit the occasion. Our goal is to show empathy and seriousness, ensuring the other person feels heard and respected. Talk, Don't Argue James 3:17 celebrates the wisdom that is peaceable and open to reason. In conflicts, our aim is not to win an argument but to seek mutual understanding and resolution. We should communicate our perspectives respectfully, fostering an atmosphere conducive to problem-solving. Slow Down Patience is a virtue that allows for thoughtful and effective communication. Slowing down our speech rate is a practical way of modeling calmness, encouraging both parties to engage in a rational and respectful manner. So, How Will You Apply Biblical Wisdom for Handling Anger? Our role as Christians extends beyond personal salvation to being ambassadors of Christ's love and peace, especially in handling conflicts. By applying the BULLETS approach, we can navigate through anger and conflict with grace and wisdom. May we always strive to be peacemakers, embodying Christ's teachings in every interaction. Let us commit to using communication as a tool for healing and reconciliation, bringing about God's kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Rebekah tries to save her son
“Now Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him, and Esau said to himself, ‘The days of mourning for my father are approaching; then I will kill my brother Jacob.’
But the words of her elder son Esau were told to Rebekah; so she sent and called her younger son Jacob and said to him, ‘Your brother Esau is consoling himself by planning to kill you. Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; flee at once to my brother Laban in Haran, and stay with him for a while, until your brother’s fury turns away -- until your brother’s anger against you turns away, and he forgets what you have done to him; then I will send, and bring you back from there. Why should I lose both of you in one day?’ ”

In the Land of Dialogo
Resources for Peacebuilders As I noted earlier, PeaceGrooves, a project my brother and I began decades ago, has been reestablished as an archival site. One aspect of the site contains resources developed at PeaceGrooves which peacebuilders may find helpful in their work. One simulation game In the Land of Dialogo was developed for two workshops which PeaceGrooves led at the 2009 and 2011…

Really quick Undertale X TFA thought:
Another fallen human oc, or simply the Frisk of their world, or maybe the descendant of one of the Monsters or Frisk.
Frisk emerged with the Monsters from a Pacifist Route.
Either 50 years passes by for the next generation to appear, or OC/Frisk/their Monster ends up getting a job in Detroit sometime after being freed from the Underground.
They may also take up a side hobby of posting videos of them singing original lyrics to their friends themes. I took inspiration from Ori Eta, Jenny [xUnreachablee] on YouTube.
So, they end up meeting the Autobots, seeing the Decepticons in action.
And as per the stuff they have listened to/witnessed through the spread of information through history records, they question things.
Everything.
How the war started, why the war started, how did the war end previously, what circumstances lead to the new Decepticon uprising aim to be conquering Cybertron and possibly the galaxy.
Optimus shows them the Cybertron War History Essays:
"...Roses are red, Flowey is prickly. That is propaganda, and we need to end this quickly."
They begin to hold protests with their online followers/fans. They also spread information via their connection with several other humans and monsters.
Guys, imagine Mettaton trying to be political-
And you know the awesome theme song with the godly guitar shreds?
Protest song. Boom.
Call it 'More then Meets the Eye,' slow the pace, make some emotional lyrics, and;
We Supreme!
I have this whole scene layed out too:
Driving up to a big stage set up during the previous night in one of the Bots' alt modes. Sari is coming with them, wearing the specially designed mask she was gifted to wear in a live performance for Human-Monster Peace Day (sung a bunch of storytelling songs, mainly based from Ori Eta's covers. She was included with two other Monsters/another human and another monster).
Sari asks what they're going to do as they get out and they answer her with, "Peacemaking." As they put on their signature Music Sensation Mask and smirk like a melomaniac as Sari and the Bots' jaws drop (watch out for Bulk's, may be too unhinged).
They do the protest song, Sari trying to copy some dance moves and helping play a few notes on her xylophone in tune with the ones at 'Trans-form-ers, more then meets the eye!'
A humongous crowd, practically the whole city that they've reached out to is whooping and cheering, showing their support.
The entire thing is being streamed throughout the galaxy using Teletraan-1.
The Decepticons on Earth certainly won't be missing it.
Soon there is exposition. Several links to sources and personal interviews pop up on a display screen behind them for reference. Information about the war, the wrongdoings, corruption, and how they can try to amend these failures.
One thing leads to another, and eventually Sari and then join the crowd on equal footing.
They hold hands, encouraging everyone to grab each other's hand as they make a call to action.
And then they take of their mask, revealing their identity.
The other citizens hiding their faces remove them as well.
Several human SOULs begin floating out chests, rising higher to complete a giant show of a multicoloured heart above them.
All that's left now, is to see the rest of the galaxy's reactions.
