Your Tim gives big “peaked in high-school” energy, but I doubt he peaked in high-school, so maybe he peaked at being Robin, thus creating new trauma in the family, and maybe hero community
Oh Tim 100% is the peaked in high-school guy like dude was having a ball he was super popular constantly had girls falling over themselves for him and he was Robin- the fact that Tim is so reluctant to let robin go is literally the biggest tell of all that this boy is trying desperately to hang on to how things used to be

This "new ick unlocked" trend on tiktok makes me so sad, like it's just people doing everyday things, being comfortable and people are like "ew new ick" about the way a man moves his leg or something. Guess what "new ick unlocked!!!" and it's people who make fun of other people and post it on the internet

Marauders fans who say “yeah James was an asshole but he grew up!!” make me laugh bc I have never met a 21 year old man I would describe as “grown up”
Agreed 💀 they describe him in such a godly manner like chill out the dude’s still 21

I honestly don’t know what Sophie’s deal was, I think she was always bitter that Sansa wasn’t a popular character and was clearly jealous of the attention Arya was getting but that isn’t an excuse to make those kinds of subtle digs at “women who act like men”. And the way her and Jessica Chastain talked about Daenerys was so unprofessional, gross, and rude.
I think that's the root of it. She let D&D hype her up and thought that she was going to become the most popular character after the storyline changes and it never happened. For as much as they increased her importance, she still wasn't getting stand-out moments like Daenerys and Arya. She resented other female characters specifically and constantly put them down which only made her look like a petulant child. Funny considering she was trying to cosplay as a feminist. Not to mention that's really her only popular role and unlike other actors on the show, she hasn't been doing much after the finale. The X-Men movies she was in flopped and her most relevant role in years was a 5-second cameo in a Netflix movie. So even now she's stuck desperately clinging to the popularity she once had and the bratty behavior that created her toxic fanbase. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes 🤷🏾‍♀️.

Imagine if Makoto is somehow sent back in time to the day he's supposed to recieve the letter from Hope's Peak Academy.
He is standing in front of the gates of his former highschool. He's in the body of his younger self.
The world around him looks fine and normal, nothing unusual - just like it did before the Tragedy.
But all the memories of what he had gone through are fresh in his mind. Monokuma, the Killing Games, Ultimate Despair, his friends, the Future Foundation - everything!
So, he takes the usual path and runs back home, quickly. The letter! It must be at his doorstep now!
He knocks frantically on the door, and Komaru opens it. He asks her if he has recieved any letter from Hope's Peak, and she shakes her head.
His parents come and ask him if everything's alright.
Makoto looks at them, his eyes welling up. They're alive! He runs and hugs them. His mother and father look at each other, wondering why their son is behaving so strangely. Nevertheless, they hug him back.
"Oh, the winner of that draw is announced!" Komaru says, looking at her phone.
"What draw?" asks her mother.
"The lucky draw conducted by Hope's Peak Academy."
And, Makoto feels a chill go down his back.
"It's some girl," Komaru says, showing them the photo of the winner. "Wow, she's so lucky."
Makoto trembles as he stares at the photo of a highschool girl, the proclaimed Ultimate Lucky Student of Class 78.
No, it was . . . It was supposed to be him.
It was supposed to be him!
His family asks him repeatedly what's wrong, but what can Makoto tell them? Whatever he says, they won't believe him at all.
"Are you sad that you didn't win?" asks his mother. "It's okay, you can try again next year."
He drops to his knees, completely dazed.
Instead of him, that girl will go to Hope's Peak Academy. Instead of him, that girl will meet his friends. His very friends with whom he endured hell together and made it through together. His very friends who stuck with him, despite it all, again and again.
And now, his friends are never going to know of his existence.
And he's never going to see them again.

I can’t believe it’s gonna be a year since 2022 r/place? Like what the hell lmao 😭
Honestly I don’t expect r/place to come back this year for Reddit’s yearly April Fools joke because it’ll be predictable and it hasn’t been five years yet… although they could possibly add a twist to it (like how 2022’s ended with a white void unlike 2017). But I know people have been speculating and digging into the code and have found “evidence”. Oh well.
In any case, some thoughts from someone who was very chronically online during 2022 r/place and wrote long update posts daily:
1. If you’re part of a fandom and want to contribute to a mural, it’s very likely that some sort of central organisation has been set up on the subreddit and / or on Discord. And you should probably check it out before you do anything about the mural.
Organisation and diplomacy is key to r/place. Just because you personally want to expand doesn’t mean the central organisation wants to because it risks angering allies. Last year I saw people getting frustrated over “rogues” not following the instructions determined by the central organisation, which threatened our harmonious coexistence with a much bigger group (in this case it was Brazil).
I’m not trying to gatekeep but it’s honestly easier if you do want the crowd wants you to do instead of doing it on your own. Especially if you’re a smallish fandom trying to survive.
2. As a follow up to the above point, instructions from central organisations are often fluid and change very quickly. This is due to the ever changing geopolitics of r/place. Allies can become enemies, enemies can become allies. But I think usually people are pretty good at spreading information around.
3. It can be quite easy to get sucked into the virtual world of r/place. I severely needed to touch grass after last year’s craziness. It can be fun, but it can also be very taxing, both mentally, emotionally, and physically (if you’re the type to stay up late). So remember to take care of yourself!
I genuinely think r/place is fascinating. It’s like a microcosm of the world, with its geopolitics, borders, alliances, creativity, and all of that is over pixels on Reddit. Everyone is so serious over unserious things. It’s also extremely funny when you hear stuff like “Love Live wants to nuke Macedonia” and “Sexy Sex requires our help”.
I also like how people have different recollections of this event because naturally people are in different subreddits, timezones, experience things differently, but it all comes together to form a collective story on r/place. And it’s crazy how long the impacts can last for. Like I still fondly think about those four-ish days when Reddit collectively lost their minds. It felt like a fever dream. Truly one of the experiences of all time.

i think it's so interesting how Steve is considered a fan favorite and the heart of the show in many ways and yet the narrative itself and the writers don't really treat his character with any sort of care or depth, he's car guy like you said he's just there to get beat up and be the comedic relief but as soon as that's done with it's like none of the story actually affects him he's just Steve and he's now allowed to react past that initial moment
steve won't die because that would mean they have to pay any actual attention to him beyond what duffer bro quip he's saying that scene :( it IS interesting though and does create this funny little culture where we're all like wow this guys the best one just look at him and the duffers are like Huh? what? just throw rocks at him?? okay
