Peanut Butter Cookies!
I've been on a peanut butter craze lately and just can't get enough of it. That being said, peanut butter on toast can get a little boring. Reese's are great but the chocolate is tiring. Then I'm not a big straight out the jar fan either. While I do love my peanut butter toast drizzled with honey, I'm always looking forward to the day I have energy to make these cookies.

I am whole heartedly a creamy peanut butter person so this will be a creamy peanut butter fan account. I will not accept arguments otherwise. Crunchy is just, not the chewing experience I want.
While you can add nuts and chocolate chips to this, I don't. I like just the peanut butter taste. I don't want nuts ruining that balance and the chocolate is just too sweet. I do however enjoy a nice cup of almond milk with these cookies. 10/10 reccomend.
Anyways, here's the recipe!
(Adapted from yummly)
Okay first things first, ingredients:
3/4 cup of unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 of brown sugar (or just more sugar if you don't have brown)
1 tablespoon of honey
1 large egg
1 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 cups of all purpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/4 teaspoon of salt
Now the instructions:
Preheat to 350 degrees farenheit.
Combine that CREAMY peanut butter, your sugars, and honey in a mixing bowl. I forgot to buy brown sugar but that granulated one works in a pinch (:
Add your eggs and vanilla extract and mix more
Add your Flour, baking soda, and salt.
Roll up your cookies, flatten then onto your pan (lined with parchment paper) and bake for about 12 minutes.
Devour once golden brown and cooled.

FROZEN COOKIE DOUGH & PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE RECIPE 🍪 The last time I made my: peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, I had more dough than I needed. So, I decided to freeze the remainder of the dough and bake it another time.  Yesterday, was my, "another time". I removed the dough from the freezer and took it out of the plastic zip top bag. I placed it on a cutting board and proceeded to slice off chunks with a knife. I squeezed the small chunks together to make one cookie. In all, I baked up about 20 cookies. I have to say, I think they tasted better than when I made them the last time. Something about freezing the dough and baking the cookies from the dough that came straight out of the freezer made a difference! The cookies were lumpier (making them look more like homemade), richer and moister. I WILL be freezing more cookie dough to make my cookies...this is ideal for Holiday cookie baking too! Make the dough now, freeze and bake cookies for the Holidays!  Peanut butter chocolate chip cookie recipe • 1 cup butter or margarine • 1/4 cup sugar • 1 cup brown sugar • 2 teaspoons vanilla • 2 eggs • 1 pack of vanilla instant pudding • 2 1/2 cups flour • 1 teaspoon baking soda • 2 heaping tablespoons of crunchy peanut butter • 2 cups of semi sweet chocolate chips Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Line 2 cookie sheets with no-stick foil. Cream together butter, sugar, vanilla and pudding. Add peanut butter. Beat in your eggs and then add your dry ingredients (batter will be stiff). Drop by teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes. #cookies #foodwriterdeanna #foodblogfeed #recipes #recipeblog #instafood #instablog #peanutbutter #chocolatechipcookies #cookierecipe #easybaking #homemade #homebakers https://www.instagram.com/p/CeBXRD9uX4V/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

north american food culture is so strange. we love peanutbutter here and yet we fail to see its true potential. its only for sandwiches and cookies. anytime i mention using peanutbutter in a savoury recipe (curry, stir fry, soup, etc) people are like Ummm that sounds weird :/ like NO. it is PERFECT. open your eyes!!!!! open your heart to the true limitless capabilities of the humble jar in the back of your pantry!!!!

Peanutbutter log recipe from...uh, before computers... our grandmother had a cookie party
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ID: Three versions of a photo of a recipe written on aged paper. The first is the normal photo, showing the paper browned with age, with some darker stains covered in in lines and a few circular blotches. The second is the same thing, now cropped to the text, and in grayscale. The last is high-contract black text and a white background.
The recipe is written in cursive that in some spots continues off the page, reading aproximately:
Peanut Butter Logs
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup margerine, softened
1 1/2 cups unsifted powdered sugar
3 cups cocoa krispies cereal
1 cup chopped peanuts
1 (6-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons shortening
Combine peanut butter and margerine. Stir in sugar. Add cereal, mix well. Shape level tablespoons of mix into logs, roll in peanuts on wax paper-lined cookie sheets. [Combine?] chocolate with shortening on heat, stirring until smooth. [Pour?] chocolate mix over logs, chill.
Aproximately 40 logs.
End ID.]
====
Not sure when exactly this recipe is from, but I looked up Cocoa Krispies cereal, and that was introduced in 1958, so this was written some time after it's release...

Fucked up cookie recipe I've necromanced into reality via trial and error.
Add
1 cup of suger
1 cup of brown/golden suger
1 slightly melty cup of butter/ margine
Mix it together until it's resembles a smooth sort of peanutbutter.
Add
1/4 TSPN of salt (teaspoon)
2 dashes of milk (or a cream of your choice)
Mix a bit
Add
1 TSPN of Tumblrs favorite ingredient Vanilla Extract
2 eggs
Mix until fully incorporated
Boil about a cup of water (you don't need it all but is nice to have.
Mix 1 TSPN of baking soda with a quarter cup of boiled water.
Once mixed add it to the bowl
For the final bit it might be an up hill battle with the dough, I personally prefer to manual mix it here.
Add
3 cups of flour (any kind)
Mix a bit until dough is semi stable
Add
2 cups of cups of chocolate chips (any kind)
3/4 cup of oatmeal
Mix until fully incorporated
Use an ice cream scoop to put globs onto a baking sheet.
Put into a 350° oven for 18 minutes.
Finally put the cookies onto a cooling rack until edible.
If this dosen't make sense my bad.

#complimentary @Influenster @Smuckerbrand #peanutbutter This peanut butter by Smuckers is excellent! It only has 2 ingredients...peanuts and a little salt. There's no GMO , gluten or any type of preservatives or added sugar. Just the pure unadulterated taste of fresh roasted peanuts. Its thick and creamy with just a little bit of grittiness from the crushed roasted peanuts. It has 8 grams of protein per serving plus other vitamins. You can use this peanut butter for your classic PBJ sandwiches , sauces or to add a boost of flavor to recipes. Especially desert recipes like peanut butter rolls , fudge and cookies. I used Smuckers natural peanut butter in my peanut butter cookie recipe and it turned out incredible. Crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside with an amazing roasted peanut taste. The entire batch was gone by the next day! Thank you Influenster and Smuckers for introducing me to my new favorite peanut butter. #naturalingredients #Smuckersnaturalinfluenster #roastedpeanuts #creamy #protein #NoGMO #NOpreservative #newfavorite https://www.instagram.com/p/CeZx6-LMntO/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
