The Magician
Tumblr media
Who do you admire? Friends? Mom? Coach? These people play a special part in our personal story. The story of who we grow to be. Nobody can possess every quality innately and we all have our strengths and our weaknesses. When I think of my weaknesses I notice that many times these are the traits that I admire in others. The things we admire in others shows us our own potential. As a young adult I wasn’t comfortable with who I was. I knew I was unique but I didn’t always know how to express this. I thought winning meant to win in a stupid argument that I had with my friends or that I would come out on top if I judged other people before they judged me.
Best friend #1 ~ It was my second semester into college and I still hadn’t made any friends. So what do I do? What anyone in college does when they want to buy their friends! I joined a sorority. I’m trying to be funny but this was the reality (for me at least). Through this experience I met one of the coolest, most down to earth people I had ever met. This friend taught me the importance of kindness. It was effortless for her. She was confident and sweet and this worked in her favor! I began to watch her social interactions with others and people flocked to her. I thought, this is what I want to be.
Best friend #2 ~ She was the second friend that I made in college. We both laughed and goofed off as we rehearsed a dance that we would have to perform in front of a stadium full of people for a philanthropy event. We just clicked. Laughter was so easy and we could connect on that level. This friend taught me the importance of being supportive and to see the good in everyone. She is one of the most caring people on the planet and can always put a smile on my face. She taught me that friendships like this are never worth losing.
Best friend #3 ~ My friend with a spicy sense of humor! We met in elementary school and became close friends in middle school. We connected with our wild sides. We were the mischievous, rebellious ones. After my unprecedented event in 2020, I moved out of the town that I went to college in and moved back to my hometown. This friend still lived in the area and we were quick to pick up right where we left off! She taught me the importance of spirituality, work ethic, and true emotional support.
Best friend #4 ~ My longest friend. We bonded while making crayon soup at a Macaroni grill 20 years ago! Have you ever had a friend where you can go 2 years without seeing them but somehow always seem to go right back to that feeling of home and comfortability? She taught me the importance of expressing yourself and being who you are. I always knew that I had a friend in her.
All friendships serve a special purpose for the person you are becoming and you serve a purpose for the people your friends are becoming. “Rivers do not drink their own water, trees do not eat their own fruit, and plants do not breathe their own oxygen. We are all living for each other. Yes, it is a gift to be happy, but the best gift is when others are happy because of you” ~ Pope Francis. I named this excerpt the Magician. The Magician is depicted in a tarot card with a table in front of him containing 4 symbols of the tarot suits. A pinnacle for success, a cup for love, a sword for communication and a wand for growth and inspiration. The Magician has all the tools he needs to be successful. Take these tools with you on your journey to unlock magic!

sometimes a person you least expect has your back when you're not around. the people who make it known they like you and say positive things in the presence of those who aren't 100% your biggest fans are so important. my respect goes from maybe a 5 and 1/2 that can fluctuate to a 123456789000000 for those people, especially in a place where that kind of support and social validation is needed. it may be a surprise when certain people you assume feel indifferent toward you or just tolerate you really do like you. that's.... actually huge. there's a special place in my heart for those people. crazy how we can walk around sometimes not knowing who our friends are. 🩷

just out of curiosity: favorite demon in jttw?
So sorry about the late response! This one definitely had me scratching my head-!
My old answer would have been the Lady Bone Demon, seeing as though she was rather mysterious and gave the group a whole lot of trouble, (I mean... Monkey King was even kicked out because of her-) but now that we've had a real run in with her she has... left a very bad taste in my mouth...
Scorpion Queen is definitely an entertaining one, for sure! Plus she's a very sweet woman (not exactly happy about being stolen by her but I digress...). The Yellow Robed Demon is also another entertaining one... and it always caught me off guard how they... straight up just killed his children-
Ah, the heck with it. Both are my favorites, I think!

SANTRI EN – Amidst the ocean of pearls of wisdom adorning the world, lie hidden gems of rarely known pearls of wisdom in Islam. Tip #1
I understand that being called out can be challenging and sometimes uncomfortable. It's essential to communicate your feelings in a way that fosters understanding. Instead of a direct and abrupt statement like "STOP CALLING ME OUT," consider expressing your emotions more elaborately. For instance, you might say something like: "I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately, and I want to share my perspective on being called out. It's been tough for me, and I believe open communication is crucial. Can we have a conversation about it? I'm looking to find common ground and understanding, so we can navigate these situations better together." This approach allows for a more heartfelt expression of your emotions while inviting dialogue and understanding from the other person. Remember, effective communication often involves expressing yourself in a way that encourages empathy and collaboration.
