Have you ever stopped to think that...

Caul was appearing in Peregrine's dreams and this may have contributed to her sleeping less in "map of days. Precisely to avoid nightmares about him and out of concern for the children too. But when Millard put her in a "coma" with Mother Dust's dust, she was trapped in a sleep from which she couldn't wake up for many hours. Caul must have disturbed her for all those endless hours of "sleep".

he would never admit it, but Chuuya prefers ADA!Dazai to PM!Dazai. arl, he doesn't hate the Agency, and we don't really know his thoughts ab them. he doesn't like weak people, and no one there is really weak, everyone has some skill or ability that he'd find useful (Tachihara like the Black LIzard said has the perfect ability to be an assassin, Fukuzawa and Kunikida are extremely strong in martial arts (and Chuuya is the Mafia's best martial artist, it would be so interesting to see him fight Fukuzawa. without ability, only to know who'd win), Kenji is a sweetheart and Chuuya has already acknowledged his strength, Atsushi is just like him, Kyouka is Kouyou's ex apprentice ofc he'd like her, and Yosano is the embodiment of girl power with one of the most useful abilities ever) so yeah.

Dazai is objectively better in his ADA era (ofc one can prefer his younger self, find it more interesting, but he's a better person in his twenties). Sometimes it doesn't matter why one does good things, it's enough the fact they're doing good, that they choose to. maybe Dazai became a good man just because of Oda's last words, but he became a good man. even if he still has to work more ab himself, he's trying and he's doing a good job at it. and a reality where Chuuya (who has matured in those years too, who has changed like Dazai has changed) kinda likes this Dazai is appealing. one where he sees how much Dazai is trying to be better, ad Chuuya's the type of guy to appreciate something like that. (Chuuya loved Dazai, trusted him, but he isn't (and wasn't) the type of guy to like unjustified violence- when Dazai was the type of guy who didn't really care ab reasons) like a "I recognise you've changed, it's ok I've changed too, but yk this version of you is better than the edgy emo kid able to put a bullet in someone's head just because he was bored" not saying he's perfect, but come on PM!Dazai is a piece of shit to anyone except Odasaku (the ff tropes I wanna write but don't find the strenght to) (soukoku is the real deal) (they're gonna be endgame I feel it) (not really I'm hoping for the pride month)

Jancy Weekend Day Three: Future or AU

Since I have started to reread the Miss Peregrine series (more like reread the first three books, read the rest of the fourth book, and then read the last two), I came up with an au last night for Stranger Things and I thought why not make little doodles of Jancy in this au for day three of Jancy weekend?

Since I’m assuming most of you have never read the books, I’ll quickly explain some important things under the cut (I encourage everyone to read it).

-Peculiarities are the powers in this books universe. They can appear at any point in a persons life and can vary from being invisible to having bees living inside you with added ability of controlling them. Even though they can appear randomly, it does not mean everybody has them. Technically you are born with them but it does not mean you’ll come into the world floating (that happened to one character).

-Ymbyrnes are another type of peculiar that is in charge. The reason why is because they can create loops, the hiding places of peculiars. They are always women and can transform into birds.

- As I mentioned briefly, loops are the hiding places of peculiars. They are time loops and can be set in anytime period on any day and can be placed anywhere. The reason why peculiars hide in them is from hollowgasts, the monsters of this universe that hunt peculiars (though in the second book they evolve and gain the ability to enter them).

Now that I have explained some details about the universe, I’ll quickly explain small details of this au.

- I imagine that Nancy is an ymbryne in training and the bird that she transforms into is a bluebird (yes Nancy is the bird sitting on Jonathan’s fingers). I’m still deciding on what Jonathan’s would be. I’m thinking either whatever Jake, the protagonist of the book series, has or the ability to see ghosts.

- The loop that Nancy lives in is in the 1930s, the reasoning from whoever will be the ymbryne in charge of it is that everyone is too busy thinking about the depression so no one will notice that there is an invisible child walking around. The outfits in the third sketch is what they wear in the loop (because who wears modern clothes in a time period where the style does not exist?)

That’s all I’ll share for right now. I’m thinking about making a ton of mood boards for the other parings at some point. I may or may not write it but since I have not read all of the books and only finished the first three and read about half of the fourth book, it would be at some point in the future.

Also if there is someone who has read all of the books here and would like to add information I missed in the comments or in a reblog, go on ahead.

I don’t know if anyone knows this but I was re-reading library of souls and got to the part where Jacob learns about Abaton and it mentions the “library’s gardians” which could be mention to the elder ymbrynes.

(I don’t know if im late to the party with that one but yeah)

And going on from this it talks about the library changing hands which makes me wonder if that effected said guardians, like when the library changed hands the elder ymbrynes would have to side with the owner because they have an almost chain like bond to it (Like Caul in desolations almost) but when they sealed the loop broke said chain and then they died out leaving the new branch of ymbrynes (miss peregrine, Miss advocet etc.)

Jacob, son of Hermes

I’m going to be honest, I don’t have a real reason as to why I put Jacob here; it just feels right. It might be the fact that Hermes is made to be the catchall cabin, and that for some time, Jacob doesn’t know his peculiarity. I think it’s be cool if he was “unclaimed” until the end of the first book.

Emma, daughter of Ares

Ares is a rather aggressive and rash god, similar to Emma. She is known to snap from time to time and sometimes lets her emotions get the best of her. Where do fire powers come into this? One word; spite. I think I’d be funny if Ares somehow gave a child of his for powers to spite his girlfriend’s husband (though I know this is practically impossible.)

Millard, son of Athena

Millard is very intelligent; he’s the brains of the operation who always has a plan. I think this puts him perfectly in Athena cabin! Also, Annabeth got a hat that makes her invisible from Athena, and Millard is invisible, so…

Bronwyn, daughter of Tyr

Bronwyn feels like the child of a war god to me, but Ares/Mars didn’t feel right, so Tyr is what I decided. One of the things children of Tyr can do (or I guess can’t do) is never refuse a challenge. In book one Emma claims that Bronwyn “could not forgo a competition of any kind,” This makes it seem like Bronwyn would fit in fine with other children of this war god.

Hugh, son of Mars

Mars is a god who will never fight without a reason, and I see a lot of that in Hugh. On numerous occasions he’s seen fighting with people to defend those he cares about. He’s also the god of agriculture, which is quite compatible with Hugh’s peculiarity.

Fiona, daughter of Demeter

Do I really need to explain this one? For those who don’t know, Demeter is the goddess of plants and her children have the ability to manipulate all types of vegetation. That’s also a pretty accurate description of Fiona’s peculiarity.

Horace, son of Somnus

His last name is Somnusson; Somnus son, like son of Somnus, Roman god of sleep. Children of Somnus also have the ability to control dreams (even if they don’t have prophetic ones.)

Enoch, son of Apollo

Yes, Hades is an obvious option for Enoch, but I think Apollo could work, as well. I really like this idea because Enoch’s peculiarity is a lot more anatomical than Hades children, since he physically has to put the hearts in their bodies. And with Apollo being the god of medicine, this could be categorized as healing? Maybe?

Olive, daughter of Frigg

Frigg is the norse sky goddess, and she’s the goddess of family. Similarly, Olive is a very welcoming character who can become friends with almost anyone, and make anyone feel like family. She also can float, which is similar to a power many demigods of the sky gods possess; flying.

Claire, daughter of Freya

Freya is also a Norse goddess; specifically one of love and beauty. Claire is described as being a pretty girl who looks almost doll-like. But just like Freya (who is also the goddess of war), Claire has a vicious side when she uses her back mouth. The duality of this goddess works perfect for this equally dual character.

featuring (ships) my beloveds fugh and emwyn and lots of angst<33 the rough idea i currently have is ragtag found family in a sense where teenagers from completely different cliques find one another after a terrifying monster attack that puts the town into frenzy. they decide to ally, although still a little (or very, depending on the person) not-very-trustful of the others.

other than that there's like no plot but i have a lot of fun things planned.

I know Ransom Riggs has said that he based Old Peculiar on Anglo Saxon, but this word is just straight up Anglo Saxon, like he didn‘t even change it a little bit at all (maybe it‘s supposed to be. Maybe Old Peculiar has some words that are exactly the same, like some real life languages do too)
