Pekka Rollins: That was ages ago, how can you still be upset about that!?
Kaz “I buried your son” Brekker: Well, why don’t you call me in 8 years and tell me if you’re still upset about this

We were robbed of seeing young Kaz snap in season 2. I wanted to see him crawl out of the harbor, and the horrible things he did after. I wanted to see him pointing and saying "Jakob f***ing Hertzoon". I wanted to see young Kaz go from being broken hearted with grief to a hardened boy with revenge written on his face. I wanted to see the birth of Dirtyhands.

Am I disappointed that 3 of the most pivotal scenes from CK (bathroom, Toxic staircase, Rollins showdown) were cut and paste into the first half of the season with little to no context or buildup? Yes.
Would I still sell my soul to the devil to see the Ice Court Heist on screen? Also yes.
We still have eyeballs to gouge and Kuwei to kidnap, people.
Keep streaming and let this fun hot mess of a show be different from the brilliantly crafted books.

The most random thing from Crooked Kingdom that stays in my head? At the end, after Van Eck has been arrested, when one of the council members says “We should have know he was unstable when he allied himself with that miscreant Pekka Rollins”. Because at first, I just thought it was a funny word choice and it made me laugh, but then I realised that that’s exactly the point. The Merchant Council are so detached from or unaware of what life is like for everyone else in the city that they genuinely view Pekka Rollins, the murderous gang leader who conned Kaz and Jordie out of their livelihood and canonically bought and sold indentured girls like Inej, as a ‘miscreant’ because all they are affected by is the taxes he pays with the money he makes from them.
Miss Bardugo, Ma’am, you are a genius.

The detail on the melted wire of the piano that Jesper has fixed - with clear signs that the wire was melted unevenly as a way to indicate that Jesper is under trained with his abilities as a durast. I loved that.
