"morgana was just fighting for what was right 🥺" like all the slavery and killing of hundreds of innocents (ismere) in season 5 aside i always have to laugh because like. morgana. the girl who even in s3 used the laws against magic to get rid of people she perceived as in her way. morgana who was ready to see gwen - gwen - executed for magic simply because she was a threat to morgana's non-existent claim to the throne, and who, when an actual sorcerer turned up to take the blame kept her mouth shut. that morgana cares so much about justice and sorcerers alike. aha

thinking about what a menace Beatrix would be once Tedros falls for you. god help you if you share a room with her, becuase she literally will not stop trying to win her Teddy over until you two are literally married. the entire time he's falling madly in love with you and pursuing you and stealing you away for quiet conversation and dances and homework answers, Beatrix keeps telling you to stop hanging around him. you have no idea how to tell her that he's the one instigating things with you but it doesn't matter too much because she wouldn't believe you anyway. eventually (depending on how bad it gets) there's a chance she'll try some type of petty sabatoge, probably something to do with the dress you're wearing. when you calm Tedros down and explain that you're totally fine, he'll send you to go get changed while he has a talk with her. she more or less drops it after that, and while you're dying to know the details you're a little too preoccupied with the way Tedros kisses you until you're both out of breath.

Au where merlin, after waiting for the 1,500 years, decided to attempt to bring about Albions greatest need himself and becomes a villain to bring back arthur. It works but instead of having a friend to guide him through this new world he has to figure it out himself while working to take down the one person he thought he could still truly trust. Merlin goes even more insane having to watch and even fight against arthur, he has him back but he doesn't truly have him there. In the end arthur can't kill merlin and instead reaches out to him, tells him he understands and it's time to put an end to this and merlin finally gives up. He's tired and he wants arthur back, really back.

i can't repeat often enough that in the same way merlin did not hate mordred, mordred didn't hate arthur even when he killed him!!

mordred respects arthur as a person, he even tells morgana that he believes there is good in him, but for him arthur's death is the pinacle to justice for druids and magic users. of course that doesn't entirely excuse his actions, but mordred did not kill out of revenge or bitterness, like morgana. he did NOT enjoy killing.

that's why he smiles before he dies. he has achieved what he wanted. plus, i doubt that mordred would be able to live on, knowing that he killed whom was once his brother- or even father-figure.

The Once and Future Tyrant

I had this idea for a while, of a darker take on Artie in the alternate timeline set by Rumplestiltskin. In this retelling he ran away from school to live with his aunt Morgana, a dark sorceress. She taught him how to use magic to defend hismelf but her philosophy of vengeance corrupted him. He used his powers to lay waste to his school and hometown. Eventually he betrayed Morgana and offfered his services to King Rumplestiltskin. Now called Mordred he hunts down the resistance armed with his sword The Ogreslayer Unlike the dorky goodhearted man in canon, this man is more cunning cold and dangerous.

Having Mordred and king Arthur be one & the same reinforces the idea that everybody has a choice and how easy it is to fall into the wrong side. It's such a cool twist and aligns perfectly with the shrek verse.

So, I am re-watching Merlin and now so much keeps coming up on my tik-tok, but wtf is up with the Merlin slander I am seeing?

People saying Morgana was the hero if you didn’t see things from Merlin’s POV?

WHAT?

I love Morgana, she is hot as fuck and a badass villain, but she fucking murders people, she is a murderer.

She turned herself into Uther, she stopped fighting for magic and started fighting for power, soooo…

Like she went through major shit, Uther is a dick, and Morgana was fucking tortured and she has so much valid trauma like, my poor baby.

But once she hits season five, she is a villain. She is not a hero, because she stopped fighting for the freedom of magic, for others, she just started fighting for her.

idk man that’s just my opinion but i could just be emotionally clouded because I am in LOVE with Merlin and Colin Morgan as a whole.

But yeah, stay gay, do crime and believe in Merthur cause it was real folks.
