Part of what makes Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero such a good show is how it's able to utilize its premise incredibly well; the show goes all out with creating a lot of the settings and situations the characters are in and it provides a lot of verity from episode to episode, not to mention that each world looks distinct from one another.
Not to mention the environments themselves look appealing and nice to look at thanks to the show's art style, and the creativity with a lot of the settings here creates the show's appeal to me. You can the characters go to a cereal world, a medieval world, a wild west world with dinosaurs, a fish world, and so many more.
It utilizes its premise to its absolute full potential and creates fun and creative scenarios and settings for the characters to be in. It never gets old or repetitive at all because of how diverse the settings the characters explore and the scenarios they get into are.
a major reason why I love penn sm is because he always, always has good intentions at heart — heroism is truly ingrained into the core of his being. it’s genetic, yk ? and yet, he still has realistic flaws. he’s impatient. he’s selfish. he’s petty and competitive and cocky. he’s so fourteen years old!!! but he always means to do the right thing. he’s gonna get it done in the end. he’s just one of those kids who you can tell is gonna grow up to be an even cooler, better adult
and let's talk about how fucking mean-spirited boone's relationship with sashi and penn is. i dont think it was this bad in season 1. s2 penn and sash are like damnnnn boone is so fucking dumb LOL we wish we could replace him but phylis says we caaaant. um hi? this is just played for comedy and i just feel so bad for boone. baby boy you deserve better friends
