I love the idea that everything (positive) that Lila lies about somehow comes true for Marinette.

Lila lies about having connections to the queen of England? Suddenly, Marinette is getting regular commissions from the queen herself and forms quite the acquaintance-ship w the royal family.

Lila "is practically family" to an Italian mafia? Marinettes grandmother has quite an eccentric background, and through her, Marinette somehow manages to get a local Italian Mafia to pseudo-adopt her. (Only because she refused to actually be adopted, much to their disappointment)

Lila "went on tour" with Jagged Stone? Guess who wants his favorite designer to accompany him for his U.S. tour during the summer?

Oh, Lila says she acted in a movie for Graham de Vanily Films? Guess who ends up accidentally staring in a Graham de Vanily film?

I just want all the positive things that Lila lies about to happen to Marinette, who is sufficiently surprised every time (you'd think she'd be used to it by now), meanwhile, in the background, Lila gets progressively more pissed.

And the worst part? Every time she tries to upstage Marinette with something even bigger and grander than Marrinettes' own accomplishments? No matter how ridiculous, Marinette somehow ends up stumbling upon That. Exact. Opportunity.

It's incredibly frustrating.

You could say Marinette has some miraculous luck, despite how adamantly Tikki denies any involvement in these increasingly ridiculous turns of events.

All in all; Lila is frustrated, Marinette is frustrated, and Tikki is very amused (as are Adrien and Plagg, who watch this shit-show from the background).

How much of Bug's neck will be colored by the time she's fully grown? I know peahens are more plainly colored than the males, but I was surprised to see a bit of color on her right now.

It's hard to give a real answer to that, since so many hens color in differently, and green blood in a blue bird can increase that variance, as well as the color morphs.

In the wild, a blue hen will actually have quite a colorful neck!

It's maybe not as colorful as the boys, but it wildly outshines domestic hens, who often have an overabundance of lacing on their feathers (the gold/buff/cream colored "rim" around the chest/lower neck feathers)

This lacing often is so thick and prevalent in a hen's neck, it covers up the colors that could (and should) be there. This is variable even in siblings from the same parents, it's just something not many people really look out for because a lot of people don't really care about the quality of their hens. Or maybe not so much that they don't care as it is hens are more difficult to find in the numbers breeders want (3 hens to every 1 cock) because the birds still breed roughly 50/50 on chick sexes, so they'll take what they can get instead of being patient and paying attention to their hen selection.

So, that being said, Aurora is Bug's mom, and she doesn't have a lot of color on her neck

But Aurora produced Aris, who does have a lot of color on her neck

However, Bug has a lot of thick lacing on her neck, like some other hens Indie has produced

And purple hens often have reduced colors in their necks, or at least it's harder to see in a lot of cases. So far she's coloring in nicely aside from the thicker lacing. The quality of the color is deep and rich purple, instead of the paler teal you sometimes see in purples, like Nebula

What I would not give to have this lady back, I kick myself often over having sold her, but you can see the huge difference in blue color on them. This lady shone PURPLE in the sun.

So, with luck, Bug's color will be that nice, deep purple, even if she does have a lot of lacing, and with more luck, it'll color in from head to shoulders like Aris, even if it gets lost in the lacing up front. Unfortunately it's a "wait and see" type scenario with the hens, especially since their quality doesn't always transfer 1:1 to the offspring once you get green blood involved.

The fact that Bug is making Penny feel awful about herself and Mama and Quinn have not said anything to Bug just baffles me. Cause if the roles were reversed and Penny was making Bug feel like that Mama and Quinn would be on her case.

okay I’m gonna use this one to finally resolve for the family.

Penny had been at the Pettersson’s majority of the week and he’d presence was missed in the house.

You both had tried to give her space, with everyone telling you “she’s just being a teenager”

“I’m going to get her!” Quinn announced, a little after 12 and storming away from your bed to do so.

“Quinn it’s after midnight!”

“I don’t care” he states, pulling on a hoodie “she’s my little girl and I’m done with all this space bullshit I want her home, under our roof safe with us!”

You don’t fight him, simply watching him leave knowing he wasn’t taking no for an answer.

At the Pettersson’s, he’d phoned ahead to Elias as to not frighten everyone in the house.

“She awake?” He asks and Elias nods

“The girls are in Astrid’s room — Huggy be nice” he reminds to which Quinn glares, not that it’s unjustified really.

Quinn knocks on the door and opens it slightly when a “come in!” Is announced.

When Penny sees him she stands up and walks out as to not wake up Kai who had fallen asleep on the floor next to her.

“What’re you doing here?” She asks

“I’m taking you home” he states simply.

Penny frowns “No, I’m not coming home”

Quinn wants to argue but he knows that’s all anyone in his house has done for weeks. Instead he just leans forward, kisses her head and mumbles

“Ok, whatever you want. We love you Penelope”

And when he gets to the end of the hallway to leave she squeaks “Dad?”

“Yeah baby?”

“I’ll get you in the car, ok?”

She comes out a little over twenty minutes later with her bags and hers into Quinn’s car. On the route home he stops for mcflurry’s like they used to have after her figure skating lessons every Thursday.

She hasn’t said a word the whole way home, when he finally pulled into the driveway and Quinn parked the car he said

“This is your home Penn, you’re supposed to feel safe here”

“Dad I just- I don’t like it here anymore”

He sucked in a breath “well then I’ve failed horribly at being your dad Penelope and that’s my fault baby, that’s not on you at all. I’m so sorry”

When they get out of the car and into the house Penny follows him upstairs then when on the landing she looks between her room and her parents room.

Inside, you’re asleep but Quinn opens the door and says “You going to bed?”

“Um yeah Goodnight” and she disappeared into her room.

He was cuddled up next to you when the door opens again slightly and Quinn hears her

“Daddy?” Just like when she was a toddler.

“Yeah baby?”

“Can I sleep in here?”

“C’mere”

She slides in between you both and absentminded in your sleep you grab hold of her into your embrace. She holds onto your arms and Quinn sees her crying.

He doesn’t ask why but instead he wipes her tears

“We’re so sorry Penny, we love you so much — no matter what”
