I was binge watching buzzfeeds thirst tweet videos and I couldn't help but think about how our elves would react to reading thirst tweets about themselves. Ik twitter is a very modern our world thing so technically it doesn't exist there but for the sake of this let's pretend it does. So yeah, I have come to notice that there are mainly four to five type of reactions,, them going like :
Flustered asf, doesn't know half of the nsfw vocabulary, actually can't believe people think thoughts like this about them, tries to laugh their embarrassment off and probably can't finish reading too detailed tweets
Knows they are hot and loves that people are actually appreciating them finally, as they should. Reads the tweets with a smirk playing around their face, also ready to get down with whatever the people who tweeted the thirst tweets,
So fucking calm and polite, adds a thank you after reading every single tweet, a total gentleman, genuinely flattered, ready to do the stuff described only if it doesn't hurt you or isn't violent as fuck. probably will go off on tangent like Andrew garfield did about stuff like "who actually invented being sexy" either because they actually got distracted or they fact they're trying to hide their embarrassment, there's no in between lmao
(Stole both these lines from a comment on James mcavoy video lol) "kinky but I'm sure we can figure out a way to get this done" and Seemingly innocent and unaware yet so sexually suggestive at the same time while replying to the tweets.
Concerned one, screaming "oh my god no!!" "please take care of yourself," "please don't do that, it's unsafe" "I'll have to decline the request because that's way too violent." probably asking if this what people do in their free time and just mix of confused, concerned and flattered
The "why did I even agree to do this?" "I don't know what to say tbh" (this reaction probably overlaps with other ones though ig)
Who do you think will fall into which category? I'm pretty new to this fandom so I am not exactly familiar with all the characters, mainly familiar with house of feanor/elrond and lords of gondolin only so I was like why not ask you, you'd know better than me. I don't really know if this counts as a request, or just an ask. I've read your rules and masterlist and I don't think you've stated this kind of questions/reactions counts as a request so I decided to send this to you since I thought it'd be fun; I've read your replies/analysis and God I just love them so much! Although if this does count as request then please feel free to ignore this since I know your requests are closed. Have a good day/night/whatever time you're reading this at!
Thank you 💕 but I'm not taking in any reactions and this counts as one, however on my main blog, I did a bunch of those Buzzfeed tweets with random characters for the sake of memes. I've been indecisive on whether or not to continue them, they are fun 😂

Pedro pascal should go to buzzfeed to read thirst tweets, but for Din Djarin and he should go dressed up as Mandalorian and read the tweets like he acts in The Mandalorian.
That’s my fantasy.

Okay thank you
I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE JUST FUCKING ERASE HOOKS MISSING HAND IN THESE FICS!!!! like yes. Obviously, in most fics, it won't make sense for him to have a hook as a prosthetic, right, that's fine, wonderful.
DONT FUCKING JUST GIVE HIM HIS HAND BACK! NOT UNLESS YOU MAKE SURE THE BACKSTORY IN YOUR FIC IS IMPORTANT AND HAS A REASON FOR HIM TO NOT HAVE HIS DISABILITY!!!!
Like for fucks sake, you want to write He uses both hands instead of one hand THERE ARE PLENTY OF WONDERFUL AND COOL AND AMAZING COMPLICATED WORKING PROSTHETIC HANDS YOU CAN GIVE HIM INSTEAD!!!!
It always pissed me off when people just erase a characters disability in their fan fictions. Especially with Hook when most of them have his Modern AU backstory involve him being in the Navy and includes Milah somehow, show some goddamn creativity and come up with a reason he lost his hand. Or say he lost it in the Navy for fucks sake.
By all the gods stop erasing his missing hand.
Wow. That was fast, Nonny. Very fast, lol.
AND I AGREE WITH YOU 100%!!!
Honestly, the main reason I avoid OUAT AUs (and AUs in general, actually, regardless of source material - but especially OUAT ones) is because the backstories of the characters are so important in them becoming who they are that I just can't see them still being the same people if you change their backgrounds entirely.
This is especially true when it comes to Killian Jones and his missing hand. I've seen all kinds of AU scenarios, where he loses it in a war, where he loses it in a car accident, where he gets it cut off by a mob boss... and, I mean, those are all okay, I guess - but they all pale in comparison to the canon story. I mean, you just can't compare "the evil of all evils casually lops your hand off to get the magic bean you're holding after he's just crushed the heart of the woman you love right in front of you" and "lost your hand in the war". True, both will have a major effect on who you are as an overall person... but they're going to affect you in profoundly different ways.
There's also the whole timing thing. In canon, Killian's hand was lopped off hundreds of years ago. His resentment and need for revenge are still there, yes, but the actual pain is long in the past. And the fact that he's hung on to his anger and still thirsts for revenge even after hundreds of years speaks to how deeply Rumplestiltskin truly wounded him that day. You just can't duplicate that in a modern AU, no matter how hard you try. Okay, fine, he lost his hand in a car wreck. Would he still be mad about it 200 years from now?
Which, of course, brings me to my #1 reason for avoiding OUAT AUs - there is absolutely no way to properly portray the emotional importance of Milah in Killian's life within the confines of a modern, non-magical world. He kept that torch burning for hundreds of years, people. She wasn't his previous girlfriend who died a year ago. She wasn't his ex who left him for another man. She was his first and only love, slaughtered in front of his eyes, that he remained in love with and turned avenging her death into his sole reason for existence for hundreds of fucking years. Write me a better lovestory.
Oh, wait. But there IS one. It's the story of the woman who managed to reach past all that baggage and emotional turmoil to touch his heart again, a heart not touched by anyone else in hundreds of fucking years, to find the good man inside and lift him out of the abyss of darkness his life had become.
And you LOSE the most magical part of that story when you change it into "guy with an ex who lost his hand in the war" or even "guy whose last love was killed by a criminal who maimed him at the same time" because none of those scenarios do a proper job of exhibiting how deeply he loved Milah, how profoundly he was scarred by her death and his maiming, how long he's been floundering in the dark, and how ready he is to be saved from that. Make Milah as important to him as she should be in a modern AU, and it reads false when he gets over it a year or two later and moves on with Emma. Gloss over Milah and her profound effect on him, and you have an altogether different man.
Which brings me back to the missing hand. Much like Milah, Killian's hook is a huge part of who he is. First, there's why and how he was maimed - it wasn't an accident. It wasn't a casualty of war. It was a cold, callous, purposeful maiming by the unstoppable force that just killed the love of his life. And he didn't randomly choose that hook. It's a symbol of his failure that day - his failure to protect Milah, his failure to kill Rumple, his failure to keep the bean from him. It's also a promise - a promise to himself and to Milah that he will correct those wrongs. He will avenge her death, kill Rumple, and succeed with the very tool he failed with the first time.
You can't just slap a prosthetic hand on him and call it a day.
Nor can you minimize the importance of that hook to him after literally hundreds of years using it. There's a reason why Storybrooke Hook doesn't modernize his hook or "upgrade" to a proper prosthetic. After hundreds of years, he's had his hook far longer than he even had the hand. It's a part of him. (Incidentally, I love that Wish Hook's cursed form had a modern prosthetic and that WHook kept it even after the curse broke - this is, I think, the only way I can envision any version of Killian Jones voluntarily switching from the hook.) You're not going to get that same connection between a man and his hook in any kind of modern AU. Again, it's a constraint of time.
I guess, simply put, you need a couple hundred years to properly create Killian Jones as he's meant to be. Modern AUs simply don't have the time to believably form the character. They can make a facsimile of him, but it's like a cake taken out of the oven too early - it just doesn't stand up on its own the way it should.
Oh, and I ain't got no time for people erasing the missing hand entirely. I'll be honest. I just "nope" right out of those as soon as I realize that's what they're doing. God gave us a back button for a reason, my friend, and that reason is OUAT fics where Killian has both hands.
Of course, Captain Duckling fics are a whole different ball of wax, I suppose... but I avoid those, anyway, because that's literally not the Killian Jones I know and love. It's cake batter in a bowl.
😭 for all the kink/whump writers who have to figure out how bondage works with only one hand, though. Honestly, that's the only way I'll forgive magical hand replacement or glossing over. I mean, that shit's complicated. But even then... I dunno, Nonny, it doesn't feel like Killian when he's got two hands. It could just as well be anybody, y'know? And then what's the point?!

Thirst Tweets
I cannot emphasize enough how much of this came from people who are not me. Heavily inspired by a Discord conversation about Gray reading thirst Tweets, by @gavcowles @mepheesto @captainsaku @homeformyheart . (Thanks especially to Jen because your “you can do it!” message is the only reason I tried actually writing this.) The line about being kidnapped by a Ment gang essentially came from this Discord conversation.
Also Gray’s misunderstanding at the beginning is stolen from Daniel Radcliffe’s thirst tweets video (which I indeed watched for research).
Synopsis: Daphne prepares Gray for Justice and Fortitude Read Thirst Tweets. (Gray x Daphne, really early relationship)
Word Count: 1112
Rating: 18+ to be safe. Minors do not interact, please. I ended up cutting out everything explicit for my own comfort lol, but there is an overarching sexual theme.
~
"Are you ready for the 'interview' tomorrow?" asks Daphne, hoisting herself up onto the kitchen counter to watch Gray scrub dishes. His sleeves are pushed up, exposing beautiful biceps which flex as he scrubs against a particularly stubborn spot.
(Daphne thinks it’s an excellent deal for a date night in---she cooks, and he lets her ogle him.)
"I think so,” says Gray with a smile at her---and then he does a sly double-take, his smile just the tiniest bit more smug (as smug as Gray gets, anyway) to see her eyes trained on his arms. “It should be fun. As far as interviews go, that is. Are you sure you don’t want to go?”
Daphne nods, dragging her eyes away from perfect muscles to beautiful baby blues. “If I hear a thirst Tweet about Nick, I will probably die on the spot.”
“They can’t be that bad,” he laughs.
She wants to leave it at that, for her own sake---but Gray is awfully calm, considering the subject. "What exactly do you think Justice and Fortitude Read Thirst Tweets is going to entail?”
“Reading Tweets,” he replies. “From fans who are...” He trails off as he looks at Daphne’s somewhat amused smile. “...thirsty for attention...?” he finishes sheepishly, putting down the sponge. “You know. ‘Please read my Tweet on camera, I’m a big fan.’ That sort of thing?”
She grins wide. “Sorry, Gray. They’re more like, ‘I would get kidnapped by a Ment gang just to be held in Fortitude’s big strong arms when he rescues me.’” She flushes a little at how easily the words spill out of her mouth. It's definitely a line straight out of her high school diary. “For example.”
“That isn’t so bad,” he comments. Daphne is surprised by the tiniest smirk on his face. “I’ve heard worse from fans.”
“Or, like, ‘Fortitude’s calf muscles are what dreams are made of,'" she adds. “Or ‘Fortitude’s abs, send Tweet.’ Or, ‘Fortitude’s lips look extremely kissable.’”
They most certainly are, hypothetical fan.
“Is that what the fans are saying?” asks Gray. He doesn’t move to kiss her, doesn’t cross the eight inches between them, but his gaze drops to her lips.
“Just thought you should have a heads-up,” she says with a cheeky grin. “But I can stop if you want.”
“No,” he says quickly. “For the sake of, so that I’m prepared. If you’re comfortable with...”
Daphne adores how flustered he gets as he tries to figure out the line between flirting and gentlemanly behavior, especially now that they’ve gone on dates and he’s kissed her good night and he’s definitely heard her thoughts about how she wouldn’t mind at all if he were less of a gentleman for a moment.
Of course, the most recent occasion was just outside of Nick’s house, at which point her dear brother very helpfully reminded Daphne that he was home. And there was no turning off respectful, gentleman Gray that night.
But Daphne is far, far out of her brother’s brain range now, and it doesn’t take her long to come up with, “’I want Fortitude to telekinetically pin me against a wall and have his way with me.’”
And before she can let him react to whatever the fuck that was (the culmination of years of lusting after Grayson Black), she adds, quickly, “I don’t think you could read anything more explicit on camera. So that’s probably, you know, your worst case scenario.”
Gray doesn’t reply. His eyes are fixed on hers, silently asking the extent to which she is truly talking about hypothetical fans, the extent to which she is teasing, the extent to which she wants him to have his way with her. The air crackles with tension and possibility, but he won't cross the eight inches between them for an answer without her permission.
“Gray, come here," she says finally, holding out her hand.
It's not the smoothest seduction technique, to string together a web of hypothetical thirst Tweets and to ask him to walk into it, but he takes her hand, and his cheeks turn adorably red as he is inundated with pick-up lines and compliments to his physique and requests to be---or rather, for him to---God, why did she say have your way with me, is she eighty years old, he’s never going to want to---
“Daphne, I want this too,” he reassures her. He releases her hand to rest his palms on her waist, sending goosebumps up her arms. “Or, I mean, I want... If you want, I would...”
“Are you trying to write a thirst Tweet for me, Gray?” she teases, winding her arms around his neck.
“There aren’t enough characters to capture how much I want you,” he says, and the intensity of his voice and his gaze makes her forget how to breathe. “How beautiful you are. How lucky I am to have you. How much I want to...”
He trails off, and she imagines several options for where the rest of the sentence is going. His eyes darken in a way that makes her quite proud of herself. Hope that helps, she thinks.
“It helps,” he says hoarsely. “But do you want that, Daphne?”
It’s a good question. There’s still a part of her that wants to hide her desire behind jokes and teasing, because if she slaps a jk at the end of her thoughts, they might not remind him of the horndog boundary-flouting fans that drive him crazy.
The last thing she wants is for her thoughts to drive him crazy. For him to hear her and to wish that he didn’t.
But she trusts him even more than she’s been lusting for him. She trusts him with her heart, and she trusts him with her mind. So she trusts him to know that she trusts him with her body, too.
And even though she knows he can hear everything she thinks, she says aloud, “Yes. I want that. I want you.”
It isn’t long before Gray is the only thought in her head.
~
“This next Tweet,” announces Nick with a charming smile at the camera, “is from---”
Dear God, make it stop. Gray hasn’t made it through a single Tweet without blushing and stammering. He was more than happy to be the object of Daphne’s admiration last night, but it didn’t desensitize him to the discomfort of @fortitudeisdaddy69’s interest.
“---DaphTheWisecracker,” finishes Nick, shooting him a grin before returning to the slip of paper, which Gray is now certain wasn’t included in the jar of Buzzfeed-provided Tweets. “She, I mean they, whoever they are, say, ‘Dear Fortitude, you’re doing amazing. And your partner is the luckiest person alive.’”

Yes, a Reddit post. I’m sure so many of you are shocked that our colossally bad take came from there, (and probably from Toyotaro’s burner account lol), but nevertheless, here it is. How to even begin to unpack this... Okay, here we go: 1. Goku’s was hardly the only one who didn’t want to stop Gero. Vegeta literally threatened to KILL anyone who DID try to stop them. Tien wanted to fight them to test his limits. Goku’s desire was to fight them, yes, hello, this is Goku, But he also refused to just find and straight-up kill Gero when he TECHNICALLY hadn’t done anything to warrant it yet. And, as we actually came to see, that’s not an entirely unwarranted stance; things changed between these two timelines even without direct intervention. Unlikely as it was, it was possible that Gero may not have gone through with it. There have been entire books and films on this topic.. 2. This stupid claim just refuses to die. At what point in any part of the fight with Goku and Cell was it even IMPLIED that Goku could have won? Goku stated he’d been going all-out in his fight with Cell, when the Cell Jrs arrived and started attacking, Goku was getting bodied even though they were only about as strong as Vegeta or Trunks, who were both far below him when at full power. Goku could not have beaten Cell. ONLY Gohan could. The boy even said that he’d thought Goku and Cell were both not fighting seriously because they looked to be moving slowly to him. Gohan was already stronger than Goku, before he ever turned SSJ2. Period. And for the love of GOD, STOP with this “severe emotional trauma” nonsense! Gohan had been watching people die, his friends no less, since he was FIVE. In fact, seeing that at FIVE is FAR more likely to have given him any severe and lasting emotional trauma. PICCOLO is more likely to have caused this than Goku. Yes, the Piccolo the OP even then tries to claim is the paragon of fatherhood. Gohan was already afraid of his own anger, he always had a dislike of fighting and hurting people. The thing that shook the boy the most was watching his dad die and knowing it was partly his fault. Even then, he grew up into a healthy, well-adjusted man with his dream job and a family. Just STOP pushing your headcanons onto him for two seconds! 3. THINKS he could have killed Buu. Opted to try to teach those still alive a technique that would enable THEM to kill Buu and keep protecting the Earth even after he was gone. Could have killed Vegeta, yes, and sent him to hell and left Bulma and Trunks broken-hearted. Instead opted to try to reason with him first and allow him to think he’d finally caught up to him so he’d stop obsessing over their power gap to the point of SELLING HIS SOUL TO AN EVIL WIZARD TO GET THE EDGE.. And now, for the completely asinine reasons Goku is eeeeevil: 1. You’re acting as if this isn’t just Goku. That is LITERALLY Goku. Always HAS been Goku. He treats EVERYNE as a peer and potential friend and ADORES the idea of trying to fight strong people. Note that he also ASKED for a spar, didn’t just “attack” or something. This also has nothing to do with a thirst for “power”, it has to do with Goku trying to test himself and push himself to be the greatest warrior it’s possible for him to be. This is the same mentality that had Goku excited for the Tenkaichi Budokai, that had him excited to face Vegeta, that had him spare Piccolo and Vegeta for the sake of  rematch against such a great opponent someday. This is not some sort of development that happened post-Namek, and it’s by no means Evil. Also, how tf did VEGETA supposedly warn him when Vegeta was back on Earth and nowhere to be found?  2. Again... this is just Goku. This is how he is. That doesn’t mean he didn’t care about the plight of others though; Goku doesn’t just sit back and ignore suffering he’s been made aware of, and he helps his friends. But yes, the idea of facing HIMSELF was exciting to him; possibly his ONLY chance to compare his progress to another “version” of himself.  And... I’m sorry, but Goku erupting into a fit of rage over his family’s murder is invalidated because he was mad it used HIS body? Really? NO KIDDING I’d be extra pissed if some psychopath took over my body and murdered my wife and little boy! Who WOULDN’T be pissed about that? The last thing his wife saw was her husband’s face grinning as he cut through her and their son. The last thing Goten saw was his daddy GLEEFULLY murdering him. The fact that he flew into the biggest rage he’d ever had since he first fought FREEZA over this shows how much that hurt him. The fact that you think it was entirely about the use of his body and not their deaths shows a piss-poor ability to analyze what you see on screen, ESPECIALLY as he was upset but mostly indifferent hearing how Zamasu stole his body UNTIL he told Goku he murdered his family too. THEN he flew into a rage. This is also going to invalidate an upcoming point, so pin this.
3. Aaaand... we’re right back to the Tournament of Power itself. The Tournament that literally no one foresaw as having those results. The one that as stated to actually buy one universe that was gonna be wiped anyways a fighting chance to survive, and later turned out to be a massive morality test to allow ALL of said universes to survive. Nevermind that though, this OP here asserts that Goku KNEW it would result in that, was TOLD it would even (he literally was not I am so sick of that claim), and didn’t even KNOW they COULD undo it and STILL wanted it! This is easily the most hardcore anti-Goku stance I have ever seen on this topic This isn’t just chiding him for being ignorant or not listening to warnings (again, not applicable), it’s accusing him of KNOWING Genocide would happen and actually WATING that in the name of a few fights.  This being his stance is further illustrated by his assertion that Goku is indisputably a sociopath. Let’s look at the definition of a sociopath, shall we? “A person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience.” This is not Goku. OBJECTIVELY not Goku. Goku is far from anti-social, and very much has a strong sense of right and wrong, hence his desire to intervene when he comes across people suffering. Hence why he sought justice for the murder of Upa’s father. Hence why he felt IMMEDIATE REGRET after hearing what the consequences would be for the losers of the ToP, and WHY HE FLEW INTO A RAGE OVER THE MURDER OF HIS WIFE AND SON. Goku is capable of sympathy, empathy, and grasps the concepts of right and wrong. A sociopath he is not. And, of course, the stupid assertion that Goku is a bad father and Piccolo and Vegeta are the REAL examples of fatherhood... which is also erasure of Gohan and Krillin, neither of whom assaulted their daughters, tossed them into the wilderness to fend for themselves, forced them to be fighters and face homicidal aliens at age 5,or nearly let them and their mothers fall to their deaths because they were too absorbed with finding and killing an enemy to prove their superiority. To cap it off, Vegeta and Piccolo have somehow inexplicably become the “symbols of hope” in the series, trying to stop an evil, unhinged Goku from annihilating them all, and he asserts that Vegeta became the REAL hero during... the Cell Saga? The arc where Vegeta literally helped Cell become perfect? And was the hero in the arc where he sold his soul to Babidi, helped resurrect Buu, AND murdered hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent people JUST to make Goku mad enough to fight him because he refused to? You know, the thing you actually used as a point of criticism for... GOKU, and are clearly abdicating Vegeta of any and all responsibility for?  Folks, I’ve seen some bad takes in my day, but it’s very, VERY rare to find one this unhinged and frankly inept in one place. This is nuclear levels of Bad Takes here. Just... wow.

A Rant Nobody Asked for About Stranger Things season 3.
feat. my personal pet peeves.
Disclaimer: when I first watched Stranger Things 3, I massively enjoyed it. I thought it finally captured the 80s aesthetic and vibe with the colors, the neon, and music. I even enjoyed it the SECOND time I watched it, although I was officially aware of some major flaws by that point.
1. The Coca Cola flex.
CocaCola has been all over this show ever since Tommy handed Steve one as a makeshift ice pack after his fight with Jonathan in s1. And then by season 3 it’s just....obnoxious???? And so unnecessary??? Karen Wheeler’s drinking one by the pool in episode one. Billy knocks into someone during his first day being flayed, and a coke rolls over the concrete.
LUCAS DOES AN ENTIRE MONOLOGUE ABOUT NEW COKE.
I mean, Jesus, we get it. CocaCola basically owns Georgia, where a lot of American TV shows are filmed.....but......you’re literally CocaCola. This kind of flex is entirely unnecessary and therefore pathetic.
2. Karen and Billy
Okay, listen. I thought their interaction in season 2 was H I L A R I O U S.  But I’m someone who has looked 21 since I was 14, thanks to being an early bloomer. I get it. The cocky prowess of looking older than your peers. Getting to look adults in the eye and get that tiny bit of respect with nothing more than just looking like they do. And, as a writer, the contrast between thirsty, older Karen with young and equally thirsty Billy is an odd pair of puzzle pieces that fit really hilariously - largely because it’s so unexpected, maybe. And frankly, I think it’s one of the first scenes where Dacre’s acting really made my eyes fall out of my head, he did so well.
But it should have ended there.
I’ve been to a LOT of public pools in my day (I’m 26 but hush), and I have NEVER seen older women thirsting over the lifeguards. Ever. It’s predatory - an attribute most women understand all too well - unprofessional, and just downright gross. Their whole interaction in s3 is for “the male lens,” which Hollywood really needs to figure out by now is outdated, predatory, disgusting, and not good writing.
3. Glossing over Billy Chugging Chemicals
Bouncing off of #2, is Karen’s total negligence of Billy’s condition. Many people have pointed it out before, but a row of mothers being completely ???? about Billy’s condition is a raging red flag of bad writing.
(Also that it was written by men, because women are hard-wired to be super aware of other women - a tactic of living on guard in a man’s world all the damn time. So you can always count on a mother, grandmother, or a brave teen/20-something to be the one to walk up to a person who doesn’t look well in order to check on them, even if you’re complete strangers. It’s happened to me, and I’ve done this for other people.)
These women literally stare at him for every shift of work he has, and they.....don’t do anything????
Karen WALKS IN ON HIM DRINKING CHLORINE. It actually took me the second watch-through to realize what he was doing in that storage room, and god, my heart just broke. It’s the only time we actually see a glimpse of Billy making himself flayed like the others. It’s so fleeting (maybe because we already get so much pain from his plot, and we do see what happens with the other flayed people) but it’s also one of the reasons, I think, that we have a whole fanbase ready and eager for his return.
We didn’t get a good glimpse of him poisoning himself to the point that he has to rely on the MindFlayer to stay alive. I’m not saying any of us want that, no way, but that’s my personal headcanon: in s2, Will was super protected and therefore capable of being separated from the Flayer. All of the Flayed IMMEDIATELY low-key drowned themselves in ice water to lower their temperature, and then chugged chemicals. They all die twice.
4. Billy. Just......Billy.
This poor boy’s plot was so pointless. It’s a special thing: creating such a good character and then doing fuck-all with him. The moment you realize his only purpose in season 2 was an introduction is....the beginning of a lot of disappointment. And no, he DIDN’T serve as an antagonist for Steve, because what happened? He slowed Steve down.
That’s it.
He doesn’t keep Steve from helping the kids in the tunnels. He doesn’t break him and Nancy up. He doesn’t gloriously out Steve’s bisexuality to the town by being his shameless lover.
He literally does nothing except just......be there? Looking gorgeous and providing a juxtaposing characterization for Max. That’s all. Billy’s treated like an accessory.
Then we arrive to season 3 and....I guess the only justification for his plot is sort of classic Greek tragic hero. He’s the new Keg King whose hubris makes him stand too long outside the warehouse, and thus, his downfall.
But here’s what’s wrong with that: Steve Harrington.
We were so spoiled with good writing for Steve. Steve had an incredibly refreshing and valid character AND redemption arc. Frankly, all the good writing goes to Steve in this show, so we expected the same writing to go to the other douche bag king of the show.
And we didn’t get it.
5. 80s Bullshit vs. Modern Audience
You can tell they’re trying to straddle the line between, “this is how people talked back then,” and, “this pertains to a modern audience.”
Example: Mike saying to Will, “It’s not my fault you don’t like girls.”
I know they did multiple takes of this scene with different variations of this line, and that’s the one the editors settled with. Regardless, I know I am not the only person who screeched with rainbow pride for Will’s sake. And it’s not the first time they’ve touched on very hot modern topics. Hopper touches on homophobia in season 1 - a fact I completely missed until I read an interview where the actor, David Harbor, mentions it, himself. Then I rewatched season 1 and realized, sure enough, he reacts poorly when Joyce tells him that Lonnie calls Will a f*g. It’s not even fatherly, “that should be my son, how dare he.” It’s straight up, “this kid might not be worth finding if he’s gay.”
Of course there’s the more obvious occasions where Steve calls Jonathan a queer and Neil Hargrove should come with his own neon trigger sign. Slut is a term that’s carelessly thrown around (as high schoolers are wont to do, sure).
But the thing that’s bothered me the most is Steve saying to Billy, “Were you dropped too much on your head as a child, or what?”
Maybe it’s just me being extremely sensitive to mental health stuff (also, WHY does Steve ironically get all the triggering lines? lol), plus he says it very soon after we finally know why Billy behaves the way he does. Just.....*long sigh*. I hurt, okay. Some parts of this show really hurt, and I don’t like “it was the 80s” as an excuse.
6. Lucas and Kali or, the Diversity Check Marks
One black kid. One. Then they gave him a sister. Cool. Somebody give these people BLM awards.
*eyes roll so hard my cat chases them across the floor*
You know what this reminds me of? The East Asian actor who trended in movies like The Goonies and Indiana Jones.
The only thing that even remotely makes this small drop of diversity okay, is that they made Lucas a major player in The Party, and cast a dope actress to be Erica Sinclair, and likewise made her a linchpin in the Scoops Troop plot.
But touching back to #5, you can’t use “it’s the 80s” as an excuse, nor can you say, “it’s white bread Indiana.”
BUT but but but Kali!!!!
You mean the character in one episode? Two, if you count the opening of season 2.
Listen. For all the bipoc folks who wonder, “Do white people realize how.....WHITE everything is?” as a white person, I can absolutely say:
Yes. We. Do. Fucking. Notice.

Well. That’s all lol If you made it this far, I’m sorry and thanks lol

The Shape of Her
My first ever one shot for all my lovely Cavillry babes! (I’ve recently edited it to make the actual title the title of the post. It’s the same fic formerly under “New One Shot for the Cavillry.”)
Pairing: Henry Cavill x OFC that is totally not me, the author (except that it is, and I just took out my name so nobody felt weird about it!)
Word count: 2053
Warnings: Rimming and oral (f receiving), slightly rough sex, but not like, violent, language, almost orgasm denial but like, not really, very thirsty OFC and a very hungry Henry, mentions of unemployment, panties are heavily featured…I clearly have no idea what might trigger some people, but if you have concerns, ask me. It’s really just smutty smut for the sake of smut.
A/N: This was unsolicited, but I felt that curvy girls were lacking some representation in the fic community in general, so here is Henry worshipping a thicc queen. (Also, the undies in the fic are from Torrid and amazingly comfy, and the fact that I felt super sexy in them also helped inspire this one shot. I hope y’all enjoy.) Also, it’s not Beta’d. I just did my own triple check for glaring errors. Here’s hoping it’s not untenable gibberish. Lol!
Tags (no one requested tags, but I’m tagging the Cavillry babes I can think of, and if you want me to tag you in future work, just let me know. I don’t want to spam anyone): @littlefreya because she convinced me this was necessary, lol! Also @fishcustardandclintbarton @geralt-of-baevia @princess-of-riviaa @geekycanuck @lareinedususpense @radaofrivia @nothingdear @lunedelorient @sunflowersstan @captainbigdy @laketaj24
She liked to air dry on the bed in just her panties. Scroll her phone, see what was new. When she had time, of course. And lately, she’s had no shortage of time. Henry felt for her. Being between jobs could be scary. But he knew great things were out there for his woman. But the air drying. She did this after every leisurely shower. She made a little nest of pillows and draped herself gracefully over it.
With one hand, she diffused her hair, still damp from the shower. He didn’t know what she was looking at on her phone, nor did he care. His eyes had fallen heavy and hard on her backside. He thought this part of her such a wonder. It was strong, round, and large, and it tapered down to her thick thighs. This morning, she had chosen to wear a fairly unassuming pair of briefs. Unassuming, he thought, only if one had never touched them, or seen them up close. Like he had. He’d even helped her pick them out in the shop. He knew that the silky fabric would look stunning on her.
He was right. The slate grey sheen of the fabric covering her ass caught the pure morning light filtering in through the window. With his eyes he followed the narrow lace bands around her thighs right under her ass. He started then at the wider lace band around her waist --yes, waist, not hips-- and was stopped in his tracks in the center of her back. He’d missed entirely, or perhaps he’d forgotten, that little v-shaped corset cutout just below the waist band.
This could no longer be a mission of observation it must become a more exploratory, manual endeavor. He tiptoed toward her, not wanting to startle her before it was time, or for her to turn over before he’d had his fun.
“Mornin’ Hank.” She said sweetly over her shoulder with a smile. She didn’t flip to her front. Good.
“Good morning, love! Sleep well? Nice shower?” He queried as he maneuvered himself between her legs. Just sitting, but with one leg thrown over the back of one of her thighs. He started working her calves which were always tight. He loved her shapely legs, though. He loved every curve of her.
“What are you doing?” She demanded with a slight start.
“I have to get the tension out while the muscle is still warm. You should know that, teach!” He loved teasing her like this for being clever. He loved calling her the teacher in the bedroom, even if he was the more experienced lover.
He increased the pressure as he went, but wanted to go further.
“Have any lotion handy?” He asked. She did, and she handed it right to him. He put a bit of the amber and vanilla-scented cream on his hands, worked it up until it was warm, and then started again. She was moaning now. That was always his goal. Then he switched legs, applying more warmed lotion and going as deep as he dared.
“Henry, I’m not gonna be able to walk when you’re done.”
“Well, I was gonna make that threat, but you’ve saved me the trouble.” He said as he turned around and playfully snapped her waistband making her jump and arch her gorgeous ass up into it.
“Mmmm, you bad man! How did I know from the moment I met you that you only wanted me for my body?” She teased.
“Because of the way I unwrapped and devoured you whole with my lecherous gaze, no doubt. You’re actually the first girl I’ve ever taken into a side room and fooled around with at an event.” He reminisced as he kissed her back, across her shoulders and down her spine until he got to that cutout.
“Fine then,” she said, mock surrender in her voice. “Take what you will. Have your spoils.”she hitched her hips up and put a pillow under them so he could explore every inch of her ass.
He relished the sensory experience of simply running his hands over the silky fabric covering her firm rump. He ran his nails over it, causing her to shiver. He ran his lips over it too, unable to resist that curiosity.
“Henry, I’m dying here!” She moaned.
“And you’re killing me with these knickers, we all have our problems.”
He ran a hand down between her legs to tease her sex. She ground her hips into it, needing the friction. He’d give her friction.
He slid the panties aside, and started circling her clit at first, then he penetrated her one finger at a time. She was so wet already. Drenched for him. This got him so hard. He didn’t want to wait to fuck her. A part of him really and truly wanted to skip her gratification and just plow directly into her getting his own rocks off. Spill himself messily all over her pussy, ass, and those gorgeous panties.
But he restrained himself. He wanted to make her come. Wanted to delay his gratification to hear and see her come apart under his touch. He kept working her, listening and feeling for her reactions. She was moaning into her pillow. And he could feel the tension building inside her. He thought one more element would send her over. He hadn’t used his tongue yet. And he had the perfect place for it. He kissed along her more exposed ass cheek until he got to her opening. He’d wanted to do this for so long. And now he finally was. He ran his tongue all around her tight hole. Experimenting with strokes, textures, and pressures. He got the tip in just a bit once, considering it progress. And she was breathing infinitely heavier, about to reach her pinnacle.
When she did, she lost all control of her limbs and her body. She said nonsense. He adored it. But he’d have time to adore her later. Right now he was about to burst and the sight of her cunt trembling and dripping was too much for his cock to resist. He thrust into her slowly at first so he could feel every spasm of her waning orgasm around him. She always squeezed him in all the right places, but he couldn’t recall entering her so quickly after making her come. Why hadn’t he done this before?
His thrusts were hard and they got faster as he chased his pleasure. He appreciated anew the fabric covering her ass. It made her feel almost as delicious on the outside as she did on the inside. He growled as he got closer.
“Where you want me to finish, baby girl?” He asked, as he tended to do.
“Don’t you fucking think about pulling out, Cavill. I want your hot come inside me.” Her filth sent him to new levels of lust and he went harder and faster. This was one of the many things he loved about her body. He knew it was sturdy enough for the unbridled pounding he could give without bruising or pain. She could take him at his most violent without harm or even complaint.
“I’m gonna come again. Henry. Oh fuck!” And when her body began to contract and contort again, it was all Henry needed to tip him into his own oblivion. His release was hot, fast, and glorious inside his goddess. He fell over the top of her still moving his hips, relishing the feel of her panties against his sensitive hips and pelvis. It was heavenly.
Their breathing was rapid, but slowing in tandem with one another.
“Fuck me!” She exclaimed.
“Isn’t that what I just did?” He teased bitting her ear and inciting a giggle.
“Oh you certainly did, sir. Most thoroughly.” She turned as much as she could with him pinning most of her body to the bed, reaching enough of him to pull on his hair. “Kiss me, you villain.”
He obliged, roughly, as she liked. A full mouthed kiss with plenty of tongue. He loved these hungry, wild kisses, too. He broke apart from her just long enough to flip her onto her back and prop her up with some pillows. He wanted her to be comfortable for what came next. Now that both of their thirsts were sated for a while, he could take his time in pleasuring her and not be bothered by his own need…at least not immediately.
“God, if I had my way, you’d never be fully clothed, do you know that?” She blushed furiously whenever he mentioned how sexy she was to him. He knew she’d never felt so and had rarely been told so. And certainly few had ever shown their appreciation for her voluptuous beauty. He’d show her at every turn. Her body begged to be touched. It was so soft and succulent.
He descended her body slowly and thoroughly, not missing the best bits of real estate, like her neck, clavicle, and her nipples, and further down where he found her hips. She loved to be teased here. And he did so. Over her panties that were rapidly becoming his new favorite article of her clothing. He worked his mouth over the layer of fabric for a few moments. Teased her mound with nips and hot breath.
“Henryyyyy!” She squirmed under him and grabbed a handful of his hair. He looked up to find her breathless and staring at the ceiling instead of him. That wouldn’t do.
He slid her panties all the way off, a bittersweet moment. He loved that they were soaked with her arousal and his seed. It got him half hard again, but he had other things to do.
He spread her legs wide and parted her lips. She was still drenched with arousal and his come. Good. He placed one feather light kiss right over her clit and she bucked. Her body was so responsive to his touch.
“Oh, I like that honey. What does this do for you?” And he latched his mouth to her flesh to lay mercilessly soft flicks over her bead. She couldn’t seem to form words, just sounds. But they were pleased sounds, so Henry continued. He descended, sliding the back of his tongue down to her entrance where he thrust into her gently and began undulating and moaning. Their combined flavors made him yearn. He couldn’t figure out why. But he loved tasting himself on her body. Especially here where her own flavor was most potent.
He added his saliva to the mixture there, and then brought his hand in. He slid two fingers into her, stirring her up and pressing firmly against her g-spot. As he worked his hand in her, he worked his mouth over her again, and he felt her losing control and heard her pleading for him not to stop. But she was still looking away from him.
He paused. And she cried out!
“No!” She looked at him, on the verge of tears.
“I won’t do it. Unless you look at me. Watch me, kitten. Look into my eyes while I make you come.”
“Argh, do it! Do it! I’ll never take my eyes off you again as long as you just don’t stop!”
He continued. Fingering her. Devouring her. Watching her. Watching her watch him. He moaned into her body. Growled. Like the hungry beast that he was.
She bucked and writhed and seized as he finished her. He loved being able to give her this. This unfiltered raw pleasure. He crawled up next to her, wanting only to lie next to her as she came down in the afterglow. But she took his face in her hand and brought him to her for a slow, languid, breathtaking kiss. He loved that she didn’t care about the state of his face. Apparently, the wetness there comprised of his semen, sweat, and saliva, paired with her sex was collectively her favorite flavor.
“How is it that after all this time together, you still shock me, Mr. Cavill?” She said in breathless wonder. She flattered him.
“Darling, we’ve barely scratched the surface of the pleasure I can give you.”
And with that promise, he buried her in the pillows behind her as she squealed and giggled with delight.

She would never know ep 1: opinion
Tumblr media
It’s here!!It’s here!! It’s finally here! And I like it!! Thank God!
Before we move onto the good stuff, I only have one little thing to whine about lol and is that a one year difference in age it’s no difference at all. I admit Rowoon does look older than his age, but giving this couple that little age gap in a noona romance is almost a crime reminds me of Pretty Noona who buys me food where they were like 3 years apart lol and there was such a drama about it. Still, for the sake of my entertaintment and because I’ve missed Rowoon on my screen SO MUCH, I will overlook this and I will pretend (with honestly not so much effort) that the gap is bigger. I mean, HyunSeung does act a bit immature in the work place of all places hahaha so it’s fine lol
I’m surprised by the chemistry because it turned out to be A LOT better than I expected and omg those stares, so hot! I’m also surprised by Rowoon’s acting because his character feels so different from his previous one. And I knew he had it in him but still damn. Chae HyunSeung is one smooth and sexy bastard, a complete goner for his sunbae. And while on the topic of surprises, I want to say that this first ep, didn’t exactly feel like a first ep. I don’t know how to explain it, and I’m not saying it was a bad thing (at least it wasn’t for me). Maybe it feels that way because most of our characters (including OTP) already know each other and have interacted for a long time and I think that’s something you don’t see often in kdramas. I’m gonna say it’s refreshing for lack of a better word.
Tumblr media
A wet Rowoon out of context because why not? *fans self*
Still, I think the story it’s very simple and easy to follow: we were presented the general feel of the drama, we met our leading characters and learned some of their troubles (like SongAh and her mom), I could sort of see a potential and annoying bad guy, we saw the people close to our protagonists and also, we met the coworkers of the office. A good first ep in my eyes.
Now, since this is a drama, I’m really loving the possibilitiy for a big mess at the office, because I think it’s gonna be so freaking wild. A love quadrangle is on the horizon and I’m gonna enjoy the pining, jealousy, the thirsting and whatnot. Oooffff what if they makeout on one of those desks? omg I’m getting ahead of myself lol However, in the real world, I would hate to be anywhere near that situation. I dated a classmate at college and I feel like dating your coworker it’s kinda like that but worse. Much much worse. Trust me, it’s super bad.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I just want to say that I’m super biased and I’m probably not gonna be impartial about this drama and the “delicate” topics that it may touch upon it’s an office romance not a criminal thriller because I love Rowoon and this not so complicated love story it’s just what I wanted lol that’s not to say that I’d excuse stalking in real life or anything like that, I just don’t think that what I saw on screen was as bad or borderline psychopath behavior as what some people are making it out to be. It’s fiction guys, chill.
Plus, Chae HyunSeung pining, longing and thirsting after his sunbae has me in complete awe. He kinda reminds me of the male leads in old school kdramas and their intensity in their feelings for the girl. I know a lot of people didn’t like those kind of male leads, but I honestly had so much fun with them. Anyway, I’m excited for more!
Tumblr media
I don’t think it was love at first sight, I think he just felt attracted to her because she was pretty and nice with him. It was cute, and I smiled when he made her learn his name. Adorable!

Heard you were looking for company!
I don't wanna spam you so this is gonna be pretty long lol
Okay first!
I'm sure you don't know what monster prom is but I have a self insert for it and I think I'm finally gonna make her look like me??
Which is exciting???
Like all my self inserts look like me but since my monster prom one is a monster girl all we have in common is hairstyle, personality, and like what clothes we wear
But I think I'm gonna have her have my skin color but keep the horns and stuff
I might draw her today???
Can't promise anything
Second!
I've made it a lil mission of mine to have my moots fall in love with my ocs
And the two I've been talking about are Alizah Hale and Alaska Howler derogatory cough cough
Also I just realized that their initials are both AH so that's interesting
Ah! The element of surprise
I've talked about Alaska more so I'll get his ass out the way
Tumblr media
Alaska Howler, a 23 7'2" werewolf who's your stereotypical rich fuck boy asshole
I absolutely hate him he's a piece of shit
Like
He can be nice
The type of guy that helps drunks at the bar home
The type of guy that gets his personal make you clothes because you keep complaining about not being able to find cute clothes
The type of guy that would hold you close and validate you if you had a bad day
BUT
Since he knows how attractive he's an egotistical piece of shit and the fact everyone throws themselves at him doesn't help
Like
I've been thirsting over him with some of my moots, their fault I swear I hate him he's a guilty pleasure, like GOD he's such an ass I hate him so much
It's his damn height
It makes my size kink act the FUCK up
He's the type of guy you wanna punch in the face, just knock that fucking smirk off his face, but then have hate sex with him later
Tumblr media
And then there's bby boy Alizah Hale
He's one of my yandere ocs
He's just so soft
Like he isn't that bad when it comes to yanderes
He pushes people away and hurts others for your sake, yes, but he does it so you don't get hurt or used!
Like Alizah is a double edged sword, he'd do absolutely anything you asked and kisses the ground you walk on like absolutely worship's you but also believes you're waaaay out of his league like why would you ever like him? Even as a friend?
Like he's desperate for your attention and will do anything to be next to you, so uh don't be too worried if one of your windows is unlocked, and takes any compliment from you as you wanting to date him/sharing the same feelings
Like he's just a really soft bby that wasn't affection
Has that childhood best friend/nextdoor neighbor kinda personality
I care he
He's a sweetie
Just a lil overwhelming at times
Lastly (?)
Idk if you have Netflix but I just binged Love Death + Robots and I loved it so much
It's a bunch of animated shorts, so like 5-20 minutes all depending, and there's this one short that I can't stop thinking about
It's really interesting and I'd give it a watch!
There's only 2 seasons rn
I think that's it?
The only book rec I have is Dumplin' it's a book I read junior year of highschool and I really liked it
It's about this chubby southern girl running for a pageant with other girls that have their quirks and aren't attractive by society's standards
I think there's a second book out?
Not sure
Anyways mwah mwah I hope this isn't too much of a read
Tumblr media
BEEE!!!! omg i love hearing about people's ocs, this is such a treat!!🥺
for your monster girl, do you know what kind of monster she'll be? does she have any cool powers? tell me more~

as for Alizah, yandere doesn't normally do it for me but HE is very pretty, and i would like to feel his tongue piercing:blush: that's what got me, honestly.
i haven't watched love death + robots, but i've heard good things!! if i ever get around to watching it, i'll let you know:)
And i've seen the movie for Dumplin', but i didn't know it was a book! the movie was really sweet, so maybe i'll check it out! oh no i might have to go to the bookstore /s

Okay okay i just read your tags on that sasuke and hinata post and you said you think they'd be compatible and i think that's a v new take cause mostly people just believe that sasuke barely knows hinata exists? and that's kinda what i thought too tbh i mean ig hinata CAN be good for sasuke but will sasuke be good for hinata? I'm v curious so i wanna know your thoughts 👀
I guess it is a new take though I’ve definitely spoken to others who kinda agree with me about this over the years, but you’re right, it is basically a crack ship cuz yeah, they have never interacted ever. And i don’t even like Hinata and I’m always flip-flopping on Sasuke. In short i don’t hate him at all and I think he’s a super interesting and complex character, but I’m happy to dunk on him for the memes lol cuz god does he have his moments but I wouldn’t say he’s a character I love, but please, he is such a traumatised person, traumatised as a very young child to boot, and this is really glossed over by a lot of people.
But please be patient with me whilst I attempt to sort this out because I don’t often verbalise my thoughts about Naruto when it’s not about Kakashi so apologies if this is not very coherent... I also wanna point out that i am not a shipper and I approach ship dynamics on how well they work/how much it makes sense in the context of the show which is why i hardly ship anything. Also I wanna point out that I’m not necessarily thinking about the Sasuke through most of Shippuden as i write this, i’m sort of taking that aside and thinking about his potential and who he was at the beginning, and who he becomes at the end.
Will put it under a read more cuz wow! I don’t make sense but I sure don’t know how to shut up either!
Okay, so the thing about Sasuke that isn’t really touched upon by the fandom is exactly how driven by his emotions he is. He is such an intensely emotional person, despite being a relatively introverted and quiet person, and he’s obviously manipulated by it at various points throughout the series - he’s really not controlled or stoic, like, at all.
Comparatively, though Hinata is shy and introverted, she’s actually pretty good at keeping her emotions in check. Yes she gets nervous. She doesn’t wallow in her emotions or let them dictate her behaviour, and it’s actually her that brings Naruto back down to Earth when he’s freaking out that one time during the war arc. So they balance each other out in that sense.
I like their imagined dynamic for a few surface level reasons. In an AU where the massacre didn’t happen, or even before it happened, Sasuke and Hinata have a lot in common. They both come from these prestigious closed off clans, they both feel like they’re not measuring up, they have these overbearing and closed-off fathers. If they got to know each other they just would have related to each other very well I feel. Also, Hinata’s supposed to be quite empathetic and like... Sasuke definitely needs this. There’s a real lack from anyone in this series, Naruto included, that is actually trying to see where Sasuke is coming from that isn’t a) trying to use that to get him to do what they want b) trying to control him because they think they know what’s best for him, even if they’re acting for his sake.
I don’t see Hinata being that way with him? You could argue Sasuke needs someone more outwardly ‘tougher’ and no nonsense but I definitely think Hinata is extremely determined in her quiet way, especially when she cares about someone, but for some reason I think she’s one of the characters that I can see genuinely empathising with him and learning to see who he actually is. I don’t think she’d be passive, but she’s definitely the quiet understanding type and it’s hard because we don’t see her care about anyone other than Naruto, I do thjnk she’d be capable of calling him out when he needs it. I guess i think that in part is because she’s one of the few girls that doesn’t just thirst after him from the beginning.
But to answer the second part, would Sasuke be good for Hinata... Honestly, I can see it? For starters, not only does Hinata have issues with anxiety, but so does Sasuke. You sort of see that in the beginning with Sasuke. He’s the one that’s freaking out when they first meet Zabuza to the point that he wants to kill himself to end his anxiety and Kakashi has to snap him out of it. He’s the one that freaks out in the forest of death during the chunin exams and just wants to hand the scroll over and end it all. He’s not really like this in the same way in shippuden, but my god if Hinata couldn’t relate to this. Also, I wanna remind everyone how he is with Juugo. He’s the one that calms him down, the one that Juugo feels safe around. I know he’s doing it with a purpose in mind, but I think he’d have patience and empathy for Hinata’s fears the way he would for him. Obviously this would take place years later once Sasuke’s resolved some of his issues. I guess more than anything i see them having chemistry, and a quite, peaceful relationship that has the potential to be healthier than SasuSaku, and even, SasuNaru. (SasuNaru works only because Naruto is SO damn resilient, and because of how deep their bond is and how much they canonically complete each other, not because it’s healthy, or at least it wouldn’t be at first)
It’s genuinely harder to talk about why Sasuke would be good for Hinata because there really isn’t that much to her character, but I basically think Hinata would do well with someone that understands her as well, and Sasuke I think is pretty damn capable of that. I think the fact that they show no interest in each other whatsoever means that they both would have to develop as people in their own right, which Hinata definitely needs, Sasuke’s aloofness would probably do her good, and idk, I just think it has the capability of blossoming into something strong. Largely because for it to work they would have to become their own people, and then they would realise just how much they have in common and I just think their personalities complement each other. Sakura’s tough with everyone else but far too passive on him, but she really can’t understand him at all, nor he her, and i just think SasuHina have more potential in that way.
(i answered this very badly and i have some more thoughts that i’m having trouble expressing but i hope this helps)
(also to everyone who sent in requests i am working on them i promise!!!)

Throwing Copper Extended Chapter Notes
1 / 5 Reinventing Your Exit
Hyperlinks appear in blue (underlined on mobile). The story is posted here.
Teresa could see the stress James carried in his jaw and the dark circles under his eyes. She recognized it because she’d seen it in herself before, the restlessness and slight delirium, when she wasn’t sleeping.
The first sentence is an ode to the opening lyrics of Remo Drive’s “I’m My Own Doctor”: I’ve been self-diagnosing all of my problems, carrying all my stress in my jaw.
David Lee Autry was one of many aliases James had over the last few years but one he maintained with close attention because the so-called Autry had a credit card in his name. James hadn’t exactly had time to pack a bag when he broke out of a CIA facility to warn Teresa about impending doom. He showed up in New Orleans in a stolen car, the clothes on his back, contents of his pockets, and a bullet lodged in his chest.
David Lee Autry is the name written on James’ fake passport in 2x03 (around 20:54 in the episode); Pete from the militia group reads it.
James felt a lump in this throat. Whether it was because there was something very domestic about letting someone else do his laundry or because he worried the warning he’d come with wasn’t enough to protect Teresa every time she walked out the door, he wasn’t sure. But he swallowed his feelings down and didn’t put up an argument to her laundry suggestion. He appreciated the clothing George had lent him, but oversized tracksuits and brightly patterned button-down shirts were far from James’ aesthetic. And he absolutely refused to put on King George-branded attire, aerodynamic or not, so he’d been going commando while waiting for David Lee Autry’s online order to show up at Teresa’s PO Box.
When Teresa and James meet King George for the first time in 2x01, we get the lovely scene where he yells for someone to get Teresa a King George bikini (1:12) and later points to the speedo he’s wearing, saying “aerodynamic as shit, will make you feel alive, I trust” (1:18). And, like, who am I to not bring up aerodynamic speedos and going commando?
The doctor had come back and after patching him up, again, prescribed bed rest for the patient who seemed to be doing everything to keep aggravating his body rather than help it get better. Teresa had been furious, asking if he had a death wish after all, so he’d spent the last two days bored out of his mind in bed from inactivity, barely sleeping and reading Faulkner. Or maybe he’d barely slept because he was reading Faulkner. Either way, James knew it best to tread lightly where Teresa was concerned.
That didn’t mean he couldn’t sit in a chair at a desk though. Anything would be an improvement over laying on his back and waiting for his thoughts to float up to the ceiling.
So, listen, since they’re in Louisiana, and given their close proximity to matters of death and dying, if James is going to be reading anything at all, it just feels fitting that he’d be reading Southern literature, specifically William Faulkner. As I Lay Dying is an obvious choice, but personally I think he’d be reading The Sound and the Fury. Not that it matters.
The last sentence in the second paragraph is a reference to “Dreamspace” by Glacier Veins, and the line that goes I’m on my back so I float up to the ceiling to feel different.
Teresa had cried herself to sleep that night thinking about everything that could have gone wrong, if he hadn’t made it in time, or if he had but if it had been too late for him. It wasn’t just anyone—it was James, and he would’ve spent his last dying breath to tell her to chase safety if that was what it took.
Never did I think I’d manage to make a nod to and with my one last gasping breath I’d apologize for bleeding on your shirt from “You’re So Last Summer” by Taking Back Sunday. To be here, in 2020, as an adult, and finding a way to make that reference is...strange yet somehow satisfying at the same time. Also, the chapter title is in reference to a song off the Underoath album They’re Only Chasing Safety, and it looks like I found a way to work that in as well. I don’t know why my musical inspiration for this version of Jeresa seems to come from music that peaked in the early 2000s?
There was a time when James had been her mentor to the underworld, always keeping her from sinking to the bottom, even when he’d been the one who had to make the tough calls and take the brutal actions. She didn’t think he’d ever be able to rid himself of that balancing act, of showing her the ropes but strongly advising her to untether herself from the line completely, to walk away. Teresa could still hear his voice in the back of her mind, from the night after the party at the Birdman’s when he told her in a matter-of-fact fashion why he’d sent her in: your job was to learn. Since then, and especially in his absence, it seemed there’d been only tough lessons to learn and bitter pills to swallow.
I have so much appreciation for the early dynamic between James and Teresa. The car scene in 1x05 outside the warehouse is a highlight because when Teresa gets out, all indignant, she thinks she has the last word (0:15), and James comes right back at her (0:21) to tell her how it is. He’s kind of smug about it. I love it.
And I know that there’s trouble all the time. But it’s interesting that when they get away from this dynamic (especially in S4 where it doesn’t exist, because James isn’t there), it seems that’s where the real trouble comes in.
The balance that they create is delicate.
They were so far removed from the time he’d said I’ve got a plan for a future and it doesn’t include getting killed by crossfire meant for you. But he’d chosen crossfire—sought it out, really—that was what his future devolved into. And like he’d said back then, she was trouble. More and more, Teresa had begun to wonder if there was anything the James she’d first met in Dallas wasn’t right about.
I know this scene in 1x04 is often reblogged and quoted. After watching it several times, my only question is if it’s just the lighting of the scene or did they forget to apply James’ tattoos on set that day? I can’t watch it or see gifs of it now without that bothering me.
It only took Teresa a day to get the cat to venture inside and it only took George a few minutes to declare its name: Peach. God damn, we got ourselves a grumpy cat on our hands, George had exclaimed as she sunk her claws into his flesh before escaping from his embrace like a magic trick, she’s got the same personality as Giant Peach over here. She’s little Peach.
So I guess I rolled with that bts picture of Peter from Alice’s story and wrote the cat into the story. I bet this cat makes zero appearance in S5 and at no point do any of them ever have a pet but I did it anyway. The first thought when I saw it was “Peach and Giant Peach”. Would James be a cat guy? I think he would.
George suspected there was much more to the exchange than the parting words voiced out loud, noticing there was a sense of thanks in her eyes, too. The looks Teresa and James gave each other exuded the tension between them and always made it feel at least ten degrees hotter than it actually was in any room. They had their own way of communicating that only made sense to them, that no one else was privy to. There were better odds throwing copper down a wishing well than trying to decode their language of silence.
The story title comes from “Throwing Copper” by Touché Amoré. Like throwing copper in a well. You’ll never know if wishes work only time can tell.
This is not really the part that made me decide to name the story after the song, but I was still happy to find a place for it in the narration.
“Think you might need to reinvent your exit strategy, Giant Peach,” George said with a frown, nearly in disbelief with himself over what he was about to reveal to James.
“Reinvent?”
“Reinvent. Rethink. As in don’t make one. Methinks the last thing Little Principessa needs right now is more people leaving.” George spoke without his usual puns, so James didn’t have to question if he was being serious.
As mentioned earlier, the chapter title is from a song off of They’re Only Chasing Safety, “Reinventing Your Exit”. I think this might be the biggest Underoath song there ever was? Just listening to this makes me feel 14 again. This was such a gateway to other music that I ended up loving.
Teresa’s evolving thirst for vengeance, to even the score, was foreign to James. It was part of Teresa that scared James a bit. Before he left Phoenix, he’d seen tiny red flashes of her anger, questionable decisions so far removed from when she’d stood within shooting distance on a train car and said we can do a different way, where none of us has to die. Her vision had seemed clear then; she wanted to move product without the same bloodshed as Camila. When James worked for Teresa, he’d never wanted her to lose herself in the business, and never thought she should stay in the business—those were things she’d said she never wanted, too. But being at the top in the business, like she was, it changed people. It was inevitable. It pulled them down into the fire until there was nothing left but scorched earth.
I get the sense that we are never ever getting this kind of James in canon, who is not totally cool with the part of Teresa that she shuts off in order to be queen. I think we probably get another yes man. And for canon, for the sake of Teresa being the queen, I get it. That’s fine. But, in any fic, I always find myself trying to humanize characters and not just leave them as archetypes. The reason this story got so long, the reason there was no way I was going to get through it in 2500 words or less (lol, who am I kidding, I can’t write anything of that length), is because I realized this is the James I want to explore. I want to see him push back at Teresa and not just let go, not just get shut down. Because Teresa is far from perfect and she doesn’t always make the right decisions (tbh, I think she makes a lot of dumb decisions). It’s a delicate balance between the two of them that gives the best outcome.
James’ thoughts in this first chapter are the setup for the exploration of the Jeresa dynamic in the next two chapters.
James used to see a blinding light when he looked right into Teresa’s eyes, a moral compass of sorts, always willing him to choose the humanity he’d buried so deep. But now it was light mixed with dark, integrated too well to be separated. Now looking into her eyes was like staring at a flickering light, not sure if it was going to illuminate the cave or burn out.
Here is the part of “Throwing Copper” that resonated with me for this whole thing: Like staring at a flickering light, you don't know when It'll burn out, or how much time you have left to let it light up your life.
So relevant.
I don’t want to lose you. Maybe that had been a proclamation of love in her own way, and maybe that was the last honest thing Teresa had ever said to James, after she’d realized she’d been wrong to doubt him. Those words had gripped him and followed him. He’d found solace and comfort in them even after he left, because he’d wanted nothing more than to stay, but he left to protect her because of what Devon had hanging over his head.
One of the lines in Tegan and Sara’s “This is Everything” is baby, this is the last honest look I’ll ever give. But by the end of the song it turns into baby, this is the last honest love I’ll ever give.
Teresa and James so obviously love each other but they never say that out loud, right? I feel like that moment in 3x12 when she says “I don’t want to lose you” (around 23:05 of the episode) is the closest we’ve gotten thus far. There’s a silent moment before she says it, and a silent moment after, before James answers and I swear all of it is so telling. The silence. The way they look at each other. The body language. Everything. They know.

Okay so here's a better RHPS prompt from ya gurl! I love "You're a Nobel prize winner sex God" so how about that with Paul and Bruce? =3
YAS! Oh my God this is perfect I love it lol. Hope you liiiike iiiit! Heads up: this is before Paul asks out Bruce, so he’s still very much the bi disaster we know and love lol. Enjoy!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Paul!”
Oh shoot; be cool Paul, be cool.
Paul turned around and smiled casually at Bruce. “Heeey, Brucie, what’s the sitch?” What’s the sitch? For God’s sake...
Bruce raised an eyebrow and laughed. “’What’s the sitch?’ Haven’t heard that since the last time I watched Kim Possible. You got a secret life I should know about?”
Paul laughed it off, hoping his laugh didn’t sound too awkward. “You got me. What’s up?”
Bruce’s expression turned sheepish as he rubbed the back of his neck. “Uh, so I’m playin’ Rocky, right?”
“Yep, and you’re the cutest Rocky I’ve ever seen,” Paul grinned. Wow; he hadn’t been this flirty in a quite a while. But could he be blamed? Bruce Kulick did things to him, man...
“Pfft, thanks. Anyway, so, y’know the Rose Tint My World number?”
“Uh huh,”
“Well... do you think you could help me out a bit?”
“Sure.” He followed Bruce over to the center of the stage. Luckily they were mostly ignored by the rest of the people that had decided to stick around for a while before they left after the end of rehearsal. “What do you need help with?”
“Just... Rocky’s whole thing in this number. Bill told me to ask you, since you’re pretty good with breaking down characters.”
Dammit Bill... Paul wasn’t great at that. But knowing Bill, he had sent Bruce to him on purpose. “Okay, well... um... Rocky’s supposed to be more confident here. In his sexuality. Y’know, because he’s had sex with Frank and Janet at this point.” I wish you’d have sex with me--wait no! “So... yeah. More confident.”
“Okay, so do I just,” Bruce started strutting up and down, going through his choreography, and pretending he had a feather boa. “Like that?”
“Um... almost...” He was going to kill Bill. (Heh, kill Bill) “More confidence. Like, think of it this way.” Paul’s hands began to move as he got more enthusiastic about it. “You’ve had sex, great sex, twice now. And every time your partners say how amazing it is to be with you. You’re a sex god. Like, you’re a Nobel Prize winner sex god. And now you’re dancing and singing about how unquenched your thirst for sex is. Like Gene when he’s had enough to drink. Got it?”
Bruce had been watching him intently while he was talking. When he was done, he thought for a moment, then nodded slowly. “Yeah... yeah, I think I got it. Thanks, Paul.”
Paul smiled. “You’re welcome.” Then he realized he had been waving his hands around, and brought them down. “Sorry, I wave my hands a lot when I get excited.”
“No, it’s fine,” Bruce waved him off. “My brother does the same thing.” He smiled at Paul. “It’s kinda cute when you do that.”
Cute? Pink rose to Paul’s cheeks. He thinks I’m cute... “So... try it now, with all that in mind.”
“Okay.” Bruce got back into position and went into his choreography, mouthing the lyrics as he did so. Paul was unable to look away the entire time. Maybe he wouldn’t kill Bill for this after all... if it meant getting to watch Bruce act like a smooth-criminal sex god.

@nordxz ask and u SHALL recieve ✊✊✊
another addition i forgot to add is.....hhhhhh...... the fucking scene where she MEETS mythal is so amazing when u go into it with these hc's..... like ashara honestly does Not care that shes also flemeth and morrigans mum and whatever, bc all she can think of is that mythal is REAL...... her ppl were rignt 💕💕💕 its so profound and important to her especially bc she Chose mythal as well,,,, like thats HER god that she had always tried to embody...
and i think it could be a combination of the well's effects nd also her own personal relationship with justice/vengeance but.... shes very easily manipulated by mythal i think !! obviously shes in the presence of an evanuris so shes nervous and overwhelmed and kinda terrified, and mythal would definitely be able to exploit asharas thirst for knowledge and need for validation if she wanted too... like when she says "you do the people proud and have come far" ashara is like okay guess ur my mum now 😒😒😒😒 basically even if she hadnt drunk from the well she STILL could have been easily corrupted. i dont think she would ever blindly follow mythal and doesnt even rly Like her (she removes the vallaslin when solas tells her what they mean, and also she deeply resents how apathetic mythal is about the elves struggles in general) but like i said....... she WANTS to feel in control of her life and she wants vengeance and she honestly wants ppl to be AFRAID of her so they wont hurt her.....and mythal has the potential to give her that. hence the possibility that she could become VERY corrupted in da4 hhhhhh
also. that option to tame the guardian dragon of mythal? SO sexie when u go into it w these headcanons...... she felt connected to dragons somehow for reasons she didnt understand, and then met mythal and suddenly those feelings made sense !!! and she is powerful enough because of it to TAME a DRAGON ?????????? HELLO ??????? DJDJDKDK so obviously .... it rly goes to her head fbdjdkdkskdjdj and like i said i dont think ashara would normally care about power for powers sake, but meeting mythal and getting the wells power kinda,,,, sets her on a downward spiral (and then trespasser fully sets it in motion lol) bc shes so ANGRY and also so powerful now, which is not a great combination lmao. it leads to her refusing to disband the inquisition - essentially allowing it to continue to become corrupted - purely bc she wants to find and kill solas !!!!! and with solas PLUS iron bull (he betrays her in her playthru lol) PLUS blackwall,,,, shes fucking pissed and will essentially do Anything to get revenge.
so ya,,, shes rly going thru it lol !!!
anyway i Think thats all the thoughts i have abt it.... i do also like the vibes of ashara being a fire mage bc of the dragon parellels but,,, that one i guess doesnt count bc theres ice/storm dragons as well but whatever she's just trying to uphold her Brand lol !!

Don’t let the deception of some Christians perceptions fool you, In scripture it says “Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered.” Hebrews 5:8
Christ himself, God in a body, learned obedience through what he suffered. Many times when Christians are suffering it’s written off as unresolved sin, needing prayer, more works needing to be done such as: Fasting, sozo, counseling, generational curses, etc etc. The list could literally be endless. It’s seems the western world has some sort of answer for all of it, often times ending with the individual focusing on short coming instead of their savior. This can turn into an endless loop of condemnation, leaving the person worse off than ever before. Lacking confidence and assurance of their salvation through Christ’s finished works.
Sadly, most people give the enemy way too much credit over every aspect of their lives. Forgetting the enemy is a defeated foe, that sin and death has lost its sting, and that the spirit within them is stronger than the one in this world. This lack of confidence can become deep rooted and often time is a result of poor leadership, and a lack of personal intimacy (relationship) with God.
Scripture tells us, “Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.” 1 Peter‬ ‭4:12-13‬ ‭
The issue is, most of us have never been taught rejoice in sufferings, especially the ones related to Christ. Instead, we search for the answers of what’s going wrong, and where we messed up, instead of realizing that we should be rejoicing in Christ’s finished works on the cross, especially when the suffering we endure in life is Christ related. James 1:2-3 says to, “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.”
Joy facing trials? Who has joy in facing trials?
Who was taught growing up that we should consider it joy because the testing of our faith will produce steadfastness? When is the last time you were taught that what you were going through was ok? When the last time you rejoiced and we’re encouraged that God was refining you, and building you up, and that, “he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Phi ‭1:6‬ ‭
Often times I’ve heard the opposite. Often times I’ve heard the opinions of man, especially in leadership point out peoples short comings instead of the finished works of their savior. I’ve heard several times you need to increase your walk with God, not to rest in his completed works. Though, “We all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18
So why is it that some of the people that we believe to be closest to God aren’t teaching that before Christ in us that in the flesh, “All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.”Isaiah 64:6 But now through His finished works, “He has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.” 1 Col 1:22
Without a single fault? Meditate that for forever lol. Gods word said it not me. If God himself looks at you and doesn’t see a single fault, what is man doing trying to convince you otherwise? Is this not the very works that would be produced in vain, the very reason why Christ came and laid his life down, that through his grace, mercy, and sacrifice, alone we would be saved. So that no man, by his works, would have anything to ever boast about? That all things have been made level at the foot of the cross, that all fall short of the glory of God, that all stand condemned without Christ in us the hope of glory!?(Rhetorical)
Don’t allow anyone to cause you to stray from the confidence and assurance that you have found through Christ sacrifice. Rather, look to the ones who came before you, those who walked with Christ to set the example of what you might expect out of life. Here’s what scripture has to say about a few of them:
“Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life. Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated— of whom the world was not worthy—wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:35-38‬
They were, mocked, flogged, chained, in prison, stoned, sawn into, killed by the sword. This sound familiar to your life?
If you don’t find that to suit your needs, since those people are nameless in scripture and might be hard to relate to, what about Christ himself? We could use Christ, but being he was faultless and sinless, you might find it hard to relate, yet in scripture it says in Hebrews 4:15 that, “We do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet he did not sin.”
Isn’t Christ life and what he endured the greatest indication of what we should look forward to in this Christian life? If it’s true that the same spirit that lives in Him, lives in us, and allows us to do the world he has done and far greater, then wouldn’t it be Christ who would lead by the best example? But again, for the sake of argument, let’s look at someone who is human, has sinned, and was completely sold out for the gospel. Let’s look at Paul! Let’s see what Paul’s life looked like when Ananias was sent to him.
The words spoken in prophecy to him through Ananias where this, “The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from his mouth. You will be his witness to all people of what you have seen and heard. -Acts 22:14-15
Knowing this, here are just a few examples of what Christ servant of the gospel endured on his walk with Christ:
Paul wrote most of the New Testament (4 or more epistles) from in prison.
He was stoned by the Jews who came from Antioch and Iconium. Then they drug him out of the city. -Acts 14:19
He was bitten by a very poisonous snake while building a fire-Acts 28.
By his own words, here is a small account of what he endured.
“Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they Abraham’s descendants? So am I. Are they servants of Christ? (I am out of my mind to talk like this.) I am more. I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers. I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches. Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn? If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who is to be praised forever, knows that I am not lying. In Damascus the governor under King Aretas had the city of the Damascenes guarded in order to arrest me. But I was lowered in a basket from a window in the wall and slipped through his hands.”‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭11:22-33‬ ‭
Does this sound like your life?
Why then if Christ and Paul’s examples are good indicators of what are a possibility of the Christian walk, if we know that 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. John 15:20
That in Christ time when, “John came neither eating nor drinking, they say, 'He has a demon.' And when “The Son of Man came eating and drinking, they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.' 1 Matt 11:18-19
If Christ himself and those who came before were spoken of like this, why are we so quick to assume that there is something wrong instead of something right going on?
Notice, the ones who choose to follow God throughout all of the history of scripture all endured extreme hardships in their walk with God. Most of which the world thought they were crazy, or demon possessed. Christ own family thought he was out of his mind. I could go on and list a ton of examples, but it would be almost every individual who God used through scripture.
Does anyone not find it odd that every time a man of God is near to the father, operating in the boldness of the spirit, that he is considered to be hearing from demons and not God himself? The religious of Christ day and age said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons." Matt 12:24
If this is how Christ himself was treated, why are we so quick to fall under the judgment of man, especially when we have been freed from the judgment of God, by passing from death into life from Christ sacrifice. This sacrifice allows us to have the Holy Spirit as a deposit guarantee of our internal inheritance. Why would we listen to the judgment of man over the finished works of Christ?
Do you feel like what you endure for the sake of the gospel is comparable to what those who came before you had endured? Is what you are enduring centered around Gods interest, or self interest? Are you pursuing Gods will for your life, or your own will? Are you concerned with the will of God, or are you concerned with your personal will and comfort?
Instead of allowing ourselves to be under a yoke of oppression, and being entangled in sin once again by focusing on our short coming instead of our savior; what if we choose to look at your hearts desires are when it comes to your own relationship with God?
What are your prayers?
Let me pass this test, let me make more money, let my wife be nicer, let me be able to handle the stress at this high paying job.
Please bless my American wage that is higher than what 90% of other countries will ever make. Please help me family clean up the mess of the abundance we have. Watch over the dogs, the cats and my bird, and let my team win this weekend.
I’m not saying this to be condemning, it’s not that these aren’t genuine concerns, but are the concerns of the Father for your life, or for personal gain and self interest?
What do they look like compared to the servants that came before you, though our generations are always different, the message and the mission has never changed. What do these prayers look like in comparisons to these?
Lord let your will be done no matter the circumstances let your mercy, grace, and power reign supreme in all aspects of my life. I completely surrender all things to you, i am in complete and full submission to your will. Allow your gospel to be spoken through me at all times in all ways, no matter the circumstances. Lord you reign supreme in every aspect of my life and in all things that I do. Always be the meditation of my mind. All that I am belongs to you, all that I will ever want is you to complete your works in me and through me, your portion is enough for me. My focus is on you and your mission alone. Allow me to die to self daily and have the courage to pick up my cross and follow you.
Both believers, but one seems to be running from suffering, while the other is willing to endure hardship for the sake of the gospel. But, before we start passing judgment on who needs to repent, is dealing with generational curses, needs to fast, etc etc. Maybe instead of looking at works, we should look in the mirror first at our own walk with Christ before trying to set the tone for how others should walk.
When Christ said “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.” Matthew‬ ‭7:1-5‬ ‭
What if the speck you saw in your brothers eye, was simply the reflection of your own log. Then once you removed the log from your own eye, if there was still a small speck to be removed, you could remove it clearly through gentle correction instead of judgment.
Don’t allow Christian judgment of man, no matter how Holy they may seem, corrupt the faith and assurance you have through Christ finished works. When Paul was faced with similar issues he said, “I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭4:3-5‬
So go in confidence and assurance that “He chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—” Ephesians‬ ‭1:4-5‬. With this assurance as the foundation of our faith through Christ finished works you will stand strong against the trials and tribulations of life and the adversity of men. You will reign in supremes confidence in Christ finished works that no matter what the judgment of man in this world holds for you. Believe that you are firmly rooted in the finished works of Christ, righteous and blameless in his sight, because you are the ambassador of Christ’s love through action and in truth. What is that love is that confidence rooted in?
“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.” 1 John‬ ‭3:16-24‬ ‭

Y/N is an angel and a good one at that. She steers clear of the seven deadly sins, especially lust. She is out performing her duties when she runs into a demon. Luckily for her, that demon, Taehyung, doesn’t seem to buy into that whole “Angels and Demons are sworn enemies” idea. But unluckily for her, Taehyung just so happens to be the very embodiment of sin. Especially lust.
Or, “For someone who is meant to be so pure, you sure are dirty, angel.”
pairing: demon!taehyung x angel!reader
genre: fantasy, smut, angst
warnings: alcohol use, mentions of suicide/death, lots of dirty talk and smut lol
A/N: this is less biblical and more supernatural?? Like less focus on religion itself and more focus on angels and demons as immortal creatures even though I might reference some “biblical” terms lol sorry this is too unholy anyways it’s fine. oh and this is a dream I had!

CHAPTER FOUR (This chapter depicts violence and scary situations. Please proceed with caution.)
I woke up to the feeling of vomit inching its way up my throat. Pushing my covers off of me, I hastily ran into my bathroom and kneeled in front of my toilet, letting out the remnants of last nights mistakes.
I groaned after I had finished, raising my hand wearily to flush the toilet.
I felt like I had been hit by a truck; my head was pounding and my body ached all over. Forcing myself back onto my feet, I made my way towards the sink, turning the faucet on as I prepared to wash my teeth.
"You deserve this." I frowned at my reflection, before reaching for my toothbrush.
The journey to the kitchen was a difficult one as my feet were absolutely done for, having fallen victim to the uncomfortable high heels I wore last night.
To my surprise, I saw Namjoon already standing in the kitchen, preparing himself some cereal. He looked up at the sound of my footsteps.
His eyes met mine and his expression looked exactly how I imagined mine to be.
"You hungover, too?" He asked.
"Yeah." I sighed, making my way over to him.
"Those Purgies are crazy. Everywhere I looked someone was offering me a shot. It's downright dangerous." Namjoon stated as he poured milk into his bowl of cereal.
"Purgies?" I inquired at the unfamiliar term, beginning to pour water into a cup I had acquired from our cupboard.
Namjoon let out a small laugh, "That's what we call inhabitants of Purgatory."
I nodded, placing the cup of water to my mouth to drink.
"So, who were those boys you were with?"
I choked on my water, coughing violently in surprise. Namjoon looked at me in alarm.
"W-What?" I stuttered out, completely taken aback.
Namjoon looked at me suspiciously before speaking, "I could've sworn I saw you at the bar with a group of Purgies before I completely lost sight of you."
I let out a breath.
He didn't know they were demons. He didn't know about Taehyung.
"Oh! Yes! Just some... Purgies I befriended. Nice guys. It's sad that I'll probably never see any of them again since they live in Purgatory. And I'm on Earth. There's just so many people there, you know." I nervously laughed.
Namjoon stared at me suspiciously.
"Yeah... Well, I'm glad you had fun. If you decide to go with us again next time, however, mind your alcohol." Namjoon paused for a moment before sighing. "I don't know why I just said that. As if I'm in any position to lecture anyone on alcohol consumption."
I laughed at the tall angel, leaning one hip against the kitchen counter.
"So, are you not working today?" I asked him.
"I am, I'm just giving myself the morning to recover. Hobi and Jimin woke me up early this morning while they were getting ready and I just knew I was going to need a couple more of hours of rest. How about you?"
I thought for a moment as I watched him take a bite of his breakfast.
"I think I'm just going to study today." I decided, opening the fridge in hopes of finding something to eat. My eyes fell upon some leftover fried rice, and I decided that carbs were my best bet for recovery.
"So, you're gonna become a Power after all?" Namjoon pressed, lifting an eyebrow.
Suddenly, Taehyung entered my mind.
Important memories of last night came flooding back one by one: meeting Jin, running into Taehyung, meeting his demon friends, dancing with Taehyung and Jungkook– kissing Taehyung.
"Y/N? Are you okay? You look like you're going to be sick..." Namjoon said suddenly, placing a hand on my shoulder.
"I think I need to sit down." I replied meekly and Namjoon helped me towards the table.
"Sit here and drink your water. I'll heat up your rice for you, okay?" He said, sounding stern but concerned all the same. I could only nod in response.
What in God's name was wrong with me?! How could I let this happen? How could I let Taehyung kiss me like that? Why was my face on fire right now?
"Namjoon?" I called out before I could stop myself.
The man in question lifted his head up from the kitchen counter, looking my way.
"What do you know about demons?"
Namjoon blinked.
"What kind of question is that?" He asked, sounding taken off guard.
"I just– I think I remember seeing one last night but I'm not sure. I just wanted to know what you knew about them." I lied quickly before Namjoon could ask me where my sudden interest in demons stemmed from. Namjoon spent a lot of time in our library and had an insatiable thirst for knowledge; if any one of us knew about demons it would be him.
"Oh." He replied, before putting my plate of rice into the microwave.
"Well, I mean unless they were in their demonic form you probably wouldn't be able to tell that they were a demon. They often take on human forms. Helps with fooling humans into trusting them." He told me nonchalantly.
I could help but wonder if Taehyung had done the same with me.
"How would demons have gotten to Limbo?" I wondered out loud.
"Well... there are gateways everywhere so I don't doubt that a demon could've slipped in somehow. Purgatory parties are kind of legendary within the supernatural community so they might have wanted to check it out. Plus all those Purgies drunk and crowded there, it's easy prey for them."
"Do all demons hurt people?" I asked, trying my best to sound disinterested.
Namjoon thought for a moment before answering, "Yes. Some far more than others, some on a physical level and some on an emotional level but, yes. All demons hurt people."
My heart sank a little bit.
"Do demons ever fall in love? W-With humans, I mean."
"Mm, not that I know of? I mean, I know there is a subtype of demon that sleeps with them but that's purely sexual. I highly doubt any demon is capable of any romantically linked emotion other than lust."
"You don't think demons are capable of loving someone? There isn't a possibility that maybe not every demon is evil?" I asked, probably sounding a little more upset than I wanted to.
The beep of a microwave momentarily interrupted our conversation, and Namjoon went to retrieve my food before setting both my rice and his cereal on the table. He sat down in front of me.
"There are things a person has to do in order for their soul to be determined as evil; these aren't things that people just do on accident. Demons become demons because of the conscious choices they made as humans. Evil lies within their soul, you can't just change that, Y/N. Demons just don't have a place for love and kindness with the kind of lives they lead." Namjoon explained sternly.
I was unsure of how to respond. I poked my spoon into my rice, my appetite was suddenly gone.
"That's sad." I said finally.
"Yeah." Namjoon agreed before shoving a spoon of cereal into his mouth.
I wasn't sure what I was hoping to hear from Namjoon. In reality, everything he told me I already knew. But when I was with Taehyung, it was just all so hard to believe.
"Actually, you know what. I think I am going to work today." I said suddenly, pushing my plate of rice away from me. Namjoon raised an eyebrow.
"Why the sudden change of heart?" He pondered.
I shrugged, "I just feel like the world needs all the goodness it can get and me staying home isn't going to help with that."
Namjoon let out a sigh.
"You're right. I should probably get going, too." He said reluctantly.
"Come on then. Time to spread some love and kindness. Let's make the world a better place!" I shouted suddenly, trying my best to motivate both Namjoon and myself.
Namjoon shushed me immediately.
"Woah, woah, too loud. Hungover, remember?" He groaned clutching his head and I could only giggle out an apology, ruffling Namjoon's hair before making my way upstairs.
┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
I spent the majority of the day in the city helping whoever I could as often as I could.
Nearly everything I did was mundane work. For example, I got a human to pick up and return a wallet that another person had dropped while walking.
However small my good deeds were though, I couldn't deny that it made me feel better. It felt good to help all those people but I couldn't push down the rising feeling that I was just trying to distract myself and keep my mind off Taehyung. I wasn't helping people for their sake, I was helping people for my own.
For an angel, I was incredibly selfish.
Feeling my mood begin to sink again, I decide that I had time for just one more distraction.
I reached Jane's house in no time, having had walked towards it many times before; it felt like second nature at this point.
There was a certain comfort I found whenever I was near Jane. Maybe it was because she was a familiar face, having had been my sole focus for month straight when I was her temporary Guardian Angel. Or maybe, it was because I liked the idea that someone could be reckless and irresponsible as her but still be fundamentally good. Angels were held to higher standards, but Jane was human; she wasn't expected to be perfect.
Envy was a sin but I couldn't deny the small part of me that was jealous of her.
Reaching the bricked home, I made my way towards the side where Jane's room was located.
I thought back momentarily to the last time I was here; I had fought Taehyung that night. The memory seemed distant and foreign, even if it was only a month ago that it took place.
Calling upon my wings, I jumped up, flying up to her window which was conveniently open. Hovering for a moment, I peered inside to see that Jane was alone in her room, lying on her bed as she typed into her phone.
From what I was told, Jane has been assigned a permanent Guardian already, but I didn't see nor sense any angelic presence nearby. Whoever they were, they must have already left for the day despite the fact that the sun was only just beginning to set.
"Lazy." I scoffed out loud before I could stop myself. Sure, sloth was a sin but it really wasn't my place to criticize another angel on how they did their job.
"You thinking about me again?" A voice teased suddenly from beside me. I nearly pummeled to the floor, the voice distracting me flying. I whipped my head around to see a mop of blonde hair shaking as it's owner laughed.
"Taehyung!" I exclaimed once I regained my composure.
Taehyung stood directly to my left, his left foot on the base of the window sill with his hand holding onto the top of the window frame. He was perched and hanging off the side of the house as if it was nothing, like he was some sort of agile cat.
"You are very hard to find." He stated. I blushed, not because of anything he said but just because of his sheer proximity.
"I went to your house only to find it completely empty, and unlocked by the way. Very irresponsible!" He scolded, not very seriously.
I could only gawk at him like an idiot.
Taehyung sighed, "Okay, fine, you got me. I unlocked it. But the fact that I was able to so easily is the real problem."
I can't believe I kissed him. Just last night I had kissed him and clung onto him like he was the last bit of air I was going to breathe in. Now here I was, completely sober and unable to utter even a single word to him.
"You gonna say something, angel?" Taehyung called out finally, looking slightly apprehensive.
"Hi." I breathed out.
Taehyung gave me a lopsided grin, "Hi, angel."
I felt my breathing hitch at how lovely he looked and quickly turned my head to look away. I opted instead to look up at the sky, which had grown dark quickly.
"So what gives? You just disappear for the whole day and come back to watch a couple of teenagers make out? Are you secretly some giant perv, Y/N?"
"What are you talking about?" I replied in confusion, before looking back into Jane's room, which suddenly contained both Jane and Jake who were both sitting on her bed talking.
"Where did he come from?" I frowned.
"Don't you know? They're dating now. Animals, those two. They're never not going at it." Taehyung smirked with a wicked look in his eyes.
"W-What?!" I exclaimed in horror.
Taehyung laughed.
"I'm kidding! Kind of. Relax, it's normal. Are you trying to tell me when you were a human teenager you never had sex?" Taehyung questioned with a raise of an eyebrow.
"Wha– I don't know! I don't remember anything from my human life, you know that! Also, that's a very rude question to ask! My sex life is none of your business!" I rambled, red in the face with both embarrassment and anger.
Taehyung's expression went dark for a moment before he shook his head and climbed down to sit on the window sill. I decided to join him, sitting beside him.
"How are you feeling?" He asked suddenly, looking at me in concern. The question caught me off guard and my confusion must have shown on my face.
"After last night, I mean. You threw up, so I thought– well, I just wanted to know if you were feeling okay." He explained, sounding somewhat awkward.
Was he worried about me?
Taehyung had always carried this kind of swagger to him, the kind of self-confidence that was visible and loud. It was odd seeing him look so uneasy and vulnerable.
"I'm fine." I assured him, "Just a little sore for dancing for so long."
Taehyung turned his head away from me and instead stared at Jane and Jake who appeared to be bickering over something or another. I guess even now that they were together it still didn't change the fact that they were always arguing.
"Yeah." He said simply. Silence washed over us for a moment, and I too began to watch the teenaged couple, who were growing more and more upset with each other.
"Listen, " Taehyung began, "I'm sorry about last night."
At his words, I felt my stomach do a flip as if I was going to be sick.
"What do you mean?" I replied, trying my best to sound nonchalant.
"When we kissed– I mean, if anything happened that night that you weren't okay with then I want to apologize for it." Taehyung frowned, sending me a sideways glance.
I wasn't sure if I was okay with what happened. I wasn't sure what I was okay with anymore. Taehyung made me confused and light-headed, with or without any alcohol present. In a moral sense, what happened last night in my room was a mistake but I couldn't understand why at that moment in time it didn't feel like one.
"What do you want from me, Taehyung?" I spoke, deciding to be direct for once.
Taehyung looked over at me in surprise, his mouth opening as if to speak but ultimately closing once more before he did.
"...I don't know." He finally revealed, leaving me more confused than when I had first asked the question.
"You don't know?" I repeated, unsure of how to feel about his response.
Taehyung simply nodded.
"All I know is that I can't leave you alone like you want me to. I think about you. A lot. I don't know why you make me this way and to be honest it confuses the fuck outta me." Taehyung sighed, running a hand through his hair.
"I also know that I want you. I want you in ways that would have you bright red and stuttering if I told you. I want you in ways that go against everything you believe in and the fact that I can't have you is so fucking aggravating."
I didn't dare let out even a single breath. The weight of his words rang so deeply within me that I felt as if I were to say anything at all the world might implode.
"You were right when you told me that an angel and demon could never be friends. I know that. Our souls are composed entirely differently and our lives were created so that we contrast each other. We were made to be apart. I could never live the life you live much like you could never live mine. I know all these things. Yet I still don't have a fucking clue what it is that I want." Taehyung concluded, staring at me so intensely that I worried for a moment that I might burst into flames.
"Taehyung." I began, even though I had no clue what it was I was going to say.
A loud sound interrupted us and we both turned to look into Jane's room, where the sound had come from.
The room was deafeningly silent; Jane sat on her bed, frozen in place with a hand pressed firmly to her cheek. Jake stood over her, breathing heavily, palm still extended out in front of him.
"Oh my God." I exclaimed silently, as I registered what had just happened.
He hit her.
Jake turned from Jane to direct his attention to her bookshelf. Grabbing whatever books his hands could find, he chugged them against the wall with a growl of frustration.
"You're a fucking lying whore." Jake seethed, as he threw each book.
My body jumped into action and I slipped into the room, running over to Jane as I threw my arms around Jane.
"It's okay. It's Okay" I whispered, eyes wide as I focused my energy onto projecting around Jane in an effort to calm her down.
A violent sob ripped through her chest and her body began to shake as she realized what just happened.
"Don't you fucking cry! This is your fault!" Jake yelled angrily, turning his attention back to Jane.
A loud growl came from Taehyung who I had almost forgotten was here, and I suddenly became aware of what a feeding ground this had become for a demon. Demons feed of this kind of dark energy.
Jake made a step towards Jane and I placed my hand out in front of us as if by reflex. There wasn't much I can do to him physically seeing as he was human; angels were made to provide protection, lacking seriously in any offense type powers but like hell if I wasn't going to try.
"Fucking stop crying!" Jake shouted, grabbing the flower vase that rested on Jane's nightstand and pushing it off. The glass vase shattered immediately on impact, breaking into tiny shards on the floor. I flinched, tears welling up in my eyes.
"Angel?" Taehyung's voice rang out causing me to turn towards him, his eyes wide.
"I can't..." I choked on my panicked words. "I can't hurt him."
Jake took a deep breath before turning back to look at Jane, his hands curled lightly into fists.
Taehyung let out a breath, "I can."
Suddenly, the light bulbs in Jane's room shattered, rendering the room in darkness. Jane let out a scream at the sound of her lights bursting and I scanned the room.
"Taehyung? Taehyung, stop!" I cried out, looking frantically for his silhouette in the dark. I couldn't find him but I watched in horror as Jake's silhouette crumbled to the ground, wailing. Jake's hunched over figure shook and trembled as he let out an inhuman noise.
I clutched onto Jane tighter, who was crying fearfully; I was just as scared as her.
And then, as if the light bulbs had never broken in the first place, the lights came back on, illuminating the room once more. Jake sat on his knees, eyes wide and teary as he tried to make sense of his surroundings.
"Jake?" Jane called out wearily, only for Jake pushed himself off the floor and rush out the door, tripping over himself as he made his way out.
I just barely caught sight of a tall, dark figure standing where Jake once was before it manifested itself into Taehyung, who collapsed onto his knees.
"Fuck." He breathed, gasping for air.
"Jane?!" A woman's voice called out in desperation, before Jane's mother came rushing through the door. She froze at the doorstep at the state of Jane's bedroom.
Jane let out a wail before jumping off her bed and throwing her arms around her mother's worried body.
"Jane, honey? What's wrong? I heard screaming and then Jake ran right past me– Sweetheart, are you okay?" Jane's mother asked, rubbing the back of her sobbing daughter.
"Mommy, I'm so sorry!" Jane cried out, clutching tightly onto her mother.
"Breathe, Jane, breathe. Let's go downstairs and sit you down. Come with me, baby, you can tell me what happened." She hushed, eyes wide at the mess of Jane's room as she lead her downstairs.
I could only stare at them as they left, completely frozen in place.
The sound of Taehyung shifting to sit on his knees broke me out of my stupefied haze and before I could think, I rushed over to him and threw my arms around him.
"Are you okay? Oh my God, what happened?" I let out, clutching onto the back of his shirt.
I felt Taehyung stiffen against me for a moment before slipping an arm around my waist.
"I'm fine, angel." He muttered, sounding serious. I pulled away from the hug to face him.
"She's pregnant."
I blinked, "What?"
"I could read Jake's rage. Jane's pregnant with his child. She just told him."
"Oh my God." I said in disbelief.
Jane was only sixteen years old. I couldn't imagine how scared she must be, and then to have the father of her child react like that...
I noticed Taehyung staring at me, an unreadable expression in his eyes.
"Taehyung..." I began cautiously, recalling Jake fleeing the room, "What happened? What did you do?"
Taehyung looked away from me, breathing in deeply. I had a feeling I was going to have to be patient to get the answers I wanted.
"Why did the lights turn off." I tried.
"I turned them off."
"Why?"
"I needed it to be dark." He snapped, catching me off guard. His shoulders were tense and his mouth was set in a frown. It was somewhat unbecoming, as I was used to the corners of his mouth almost always facing upwards.
"I didn't... I didn't want you to see what I was doing to him."
I could only stare at Taehyung's troubled profile as he refused to look me in the eye.
Before I could stop myself, I found myself reaching out to cup Taehyung's cheek, begging him to look at me.
"What did you do to him?" I whispered.
He met my eyes reluctantly, a dark look painted onto his handsome face.
"I hurt him."
All demons hurt people.
"I set his body on fire and tore away at his soul. I tore out all the good in his heart; I completely tainted his soul, Y/N. Do you know what that means? I just took away that kid's chance of ever repenting and trying to fix what he's done. He's guaranteed to spend the rest of his life in Hell, rotting away like the rest of us."
I shook my head, "I don't understand..."
"I can't protect people in the way you can. I can only hurt people." Taehyung spoke in a low voice, allowing for no emotion to seep into his tone.
Some far more than others, some on a physical level and some on an emotional level but, yes. All demons hurt people.
"You lost control." I reasoned, "I'm sure you didn't mean to–"
"But I did. I wanted him to hurt. He wanted to hit her again, I could read his energy. I wanted him to hurt in the way he hurt her. This is the way I hurt people, angel. I'm a Scelus."
"A what?" I frowned at the unfamiliar term.
"I lead people towards sin. I seek out the weak-willed and tell them of sins like greed and wrath and lust. And if they let sin consume them, I make the final cut and rid them of whatever virtues they might have been holding onto. Permanently."
I didn't respond. Not because I couldn't but because at this point it didn't matter what I said. As the seconds ticked by it became painfully obvious just how doomed Taehyung and I's meeting was from the start.
"What if Jake was supposed to become a demon? What if you did a good thing?" I thought out loud. Taehyung scoffed in response.
"I'm a demon. Nothing I do could ever be a good thing."
I let his words hang in the air for a moment. There was so much I didn't understand. It was Taehyung's job to taint souls, yet he sounded like he loathed himself for doing so. If he was a demon then why did he feel remorse?
I watched cautiously as Taehyung brought his hands to his face, rubbing his palms against it.
"I'm an angel." I finally spoke. Taehyung looked up at me in confusion. He opened his mouth to speak but I cut him off before he could do so.
"I'm an angel but I'm not the perfect image of goodness that you think I am. I love helping humans and all things that are good but I'm selfish. I am selfish and envious and million of other things that I've been taught was a sin."
I let out a sigh, bringing my knees up to my chest.
"I pretend like I'm not any of these things but I am. I'm never going to fit into the mold that I'm constantly trying to force myself into. I'm an angel but I'm not all good." I explained, staring down at my feet. Taehyung didn't say anything so I took that as my cue to keep talking.
"You hurt Jake, but you saved Jane. The fact that you wanted to stop Jake from hurting Jane again shows me that we're more alike than I previously thought." I told him, "I thought it was odd that you felt remorse over not remembering the name of the person you killed, but now I understand. You're a demon but you're not all bad. You feel things like guilt and compassion; you're kind, Taehyung."
Taehyung stared at me for a long time, his eyes peering into mine as if he was searching for something.
"So, you're a sinful angel and I'm a kind demon. Where does this leave us?" Taehyung finally spoke, his voice sounding small.
"I don't know." I answered him truthfully, tugging lightly at a loose thread on my jeans.
"Fucking hell." Taehyung said decidedly, relaxing shoulders. I gave him a small smile.
"You could say that." I laughed, before looking at Taehyung seriously. "N-Not that I don't trust you but... no one can know about what I just told you. About the being a sinful angel thing, I mean."
Taehyung smirked, "Yeah, the big guy downstairs wouldn't want to hear about me saving humans either."
I nodded understandingly.
"So, we keep each other's secrets then, yeah?" Taehyung asked, looking oddly excited.
"Yes."
"Friends keep secrets."
"Yeah. They do." I confirmed, suddenly shy. Taehyung was positively beaming at me, looking brighter than the sun.
I nearly gasped as Taehyung moved his face in front of mine without warning.
"I can be good when I'm around you?" He questioned, eyes wide.
I merely nodded, unable to think of any intelligent response.
"So," Taehyung drawled, leaning in, his eyes on my lips, "Will you be bad around me?"
I pushed Taehyung away from me quickly, my face bright red once again.
"Taehyung, I just decided we could be friends. Don't push it." I huffed, my voice shaking slightly.
Taehyung laughed as he stood up from the floor. He extended an open palm towards me to help me up. I took it gladly.
"Lust is a sin too. Feel free to indulge with me, angel."

Why would jungkook be thirsting over a 16 year old girl with the cameras around? He was impressed by her movements
Anon 2: tbh he had a similar reaction to the boy before, he was very attentive and looked genuinely into it, i saw the clips of them dancing and i must say that girl at the end was really something. the control she had over her body was really impressive and they all looked shook. i don’t even believe km are in a relationship but some people are overreacting already and painting them as these horny teenagers like? +y'all’s logic is weird. being in a relationship = can’t find any other person attractive?
Anon 3: i personally only saw them all as impressed with her performance n i didn’t see anything sexual with their reactions, especially considering the girl was 16 n they all kept referring to her and the other performers as kids
Anon 4: I think it‘s quite unfair how fast and strong people tend to Analyse EVERYTHING BTS does. I feel like the boys can‘t even breathe these days without someone reading into it. That Rookie girl she was 16 ffs CALM DOWN PEOPLE.. for me it was a normal reaction, because from what we got to see that girl could move her body in such an impressing way. I honestly feel rather sorry if you people never experienced being touched by art before. Because it‘s the most beautiful feeling. Just give them space!!
Anon 5: Wow so people out here can’t tell the difference from being impressed with someone’s talent vs attraction and thinking someone is hot ? Wild.
Anon 6: I’m ace and don’t even feel sexual attraction, but I react the same way to performances I find really amazing. It’s an attraction to the skill and art, not the performer.
Anon 7: weird.. I didn’t read into any of their reactions at all?? like, nothing about their reactions to those videos raised a red flag, I really don’t understand why everyone is making a deal of it. Especially because they were reacting to dancers… as dancers themselves.. the reactions make sense? this fandom is so dramatic sometimes lol
Anon 8: If he had pulled that same reaction with a guy on the screen no one would bat an eye, would say it was because of his dance/talent. but because it was a pretty girl on the screen (who I think is underage?), it must mean he’s attracted to her and not because he’s impressed by her talent. there is just so many things wrong with that way of thinking smh
Anon 9: Y'all really out here making jk look like a pedophile by claiming he looked attracted to or turned on by that underage girl. Can he not admire someone’s talent without people claiming he is attracted to them. Unnecessary drama that jk or any of the members don’t need especially involving underage children.
Anon 10:Why people keep talking about a reaction of ONE DANCE omfg, can we be honest? It’s just a performance and he saw someone performing very good. I guess everyone who watches a good performer admiring that way. Tha heteronormative thing sucks, for God sakes she’s a minor, wtf, this people need to chill out their way of think, it’s discuting, the boys cannot be beside a girl for all this s**T start again. Just need to stop, this is ridiculous…
~~~~~~~~~~~Hey, Anons!
I hope you don’t mind me combining your asks but I feel like I have some things to say and I’d only end up repeating myself otherwise. This will also be the last time I’m talking about it as I believe I don’t have anything more to add. Not only that but I don’t wish to ever incriminate in any way shape or form Jungkook or Bangtan so maybe this post will be deleted in the future. 2 of the previous asks already are as I want to protect the members and not aid in any additional drama.
I’ve told you in the previous asks that at first I only saw the BTS react video and not what they were reacting to. I had only their expressions and comments to go by and that means I couldn’t be objective. It’s impossible without the source material. At the initial watch, their reaction to the last video really striked me. Apparently what they were seeing was special even from the moment the music started. All I could see were them being hyper focused, amazed at the performance and mesmerized, as well as I could hear a sexy song.
To me, had they not watched a dance or been professionals, if this was a normal social situation, I could interpret some of that reactions to some sort of attraction. Keep in mind that one can be attracted to the way a person moves ,talks, sits, one can find it worth watching and alluring to the eye without really having any sexual intentions towards that person. Had Bangtan been normal people, normal young adults and not idols, currently working it would maybe make sense. That’s not the case though which is why from the beginning I said that admiration is a very highly plausible explanation.
Obviously, when you see what they’re reacting to, things seem in a new light. The girl is crazy crazy talented and honest to God, their reaction was more than justified. When you see that video, you’re bound to be amazed and affected. It’s how she dances. Doesn’t even matter what sexuality you have, she is just that good. You can be a rock and still have a strong reaction and be mesmerized. It’s what she deserves.
The thing that striked me then and I said is very important to keep in mind, is her young age. Really, 16 is too young and them having sexual desires towards her is highly highly unlikely. Attraction to her talent and art? Sure. But not a desire to bone. So, I’m not making them out to be so pervs. From the beginning I said her age is very crucial here for all alternative explanations and actually can’t be overstated. I don’t think Bangtan would see a person so young as a potential sexual object. There’s just no way, especially considering there was no promiscuity whatsoever. But even then, I believe they know well where to draw a line, as anyone should.
Eventhough JK is not that much older than her (5 years, I think) and maybe in some places a man that age can date younger girls, it’s still not a small difference, especially at that point of their lives, she is still underaged and they all know that. Not only would something like that be a literal scandal from hell due to their idol status but it would be morally very ambiguous or if we want to be really blunt - paedophilic. A 5-6 years difference is not much when both people are adults but not in the case of one of them being underaged. Though if we want to talk about paedophilia - isn’t that what we saw in the early Bangtan days? People shipped Tae, who was 18 at the time and JK, who were only 16. Not to mention how JM is overly sexualized before he was llegal and so was Jungkook. So let’s not pretend like issues like that don’t exist in kpop because they do.
On a much serious note, I am always worried about all those young, naive and fame hungry trainees who leave their homes, only to be entrusted to men, usually much older than them. It worries me because this sounds exactly like the perfect setting for some very dark things to occur with one side being very young, almost helpless and the other being much older and richer and holding all the power. It’s unsettling what could be happening behind the curtains, far away from our knowledge..
Onto heteronormativitity. It’s an issue and we all know it. It has always been. Had this been a boy, even one at their age, many peolle would never even look twice, even if BTS reaction was a rather quizzical one. It’s how the minds of many people work, sadly. When it’s a malexfemale interaction, everything is fair game and “evidence”. With malexmale it’s exactly the opposite - “brothers until proven otherwise” and even then..
Age completely aside, for many people it’s hard to imagine a man can appreciate a girl for her talent and achievements and not her sex appeal. It’s concerning. This is exactly why I said that we don’t see more femalexmale interactions in kpop, there’s no way a genuine friendship won’t be twisted. Just look at the situation with Yoongi and Suran. The company had to even make a statement denying the dating rumours. Not to mention JK x IU and that whole can of warms. Boy can’t even be a fan nowadays.
In the end, regarding this concrete issues, it’s obvious it was a case of tallent appreciation. But the problem is not there. Tomorrow someone else might be involved, someone not underage or a rookie and then we’ll get a whole scandal on our hands. It’s not even about shipping or sexuality, about KM or whether or not X member is gay, bi or straight. It all kind of boils down to the rather problematic way malexfemale relations are perceived in kpop.
I really hope my words didn’t pour oil into any fire
