Pile 01.
01 — Physical touch, and acts of service are their top love languages. So, there's absolutely no doubt that this person is quite considerate in different ways, as well as physically affectionate.
02 — Furthermore, they like being helpful. They find peace in helping those around them in whatever ways they can, willingly. It's their second nature, but they aren't someone that can be taken advantage of! For most of the people within this pile, this person has a backbone.
03 — They love holding hands, cuddling, or even light touches. Whatever you're comfortable with! Although their love language is physical touch, they won't push it if you're uncomfortable with it. Even holding hands occasionally instead of often is fine, as long as they know you love them by showing it in your own way!
04 — Drinks coffee often, and likes macchiato specifically.
05 — They have a large family or a lot of people they consider family, blood-related or not. But, they spend time with their grandparents often or the elderly.
06 — Smokes, but is trying to quit. Started, but realized it wasn’t something they wanted to keep constant in their life after some time passed.
07 — Parties with friends here and there, but doesn't mind stopping whenever they're in a relationship. They understand that it's not something everyone is uncomfortable with! Of course, they'll still hang out with friends, but won't head to large parties with people you're uncomfortable with, etc. Whatever it is, they or you will likely bring it up so you guys can communicate about it.

Pile 02.
01 — This person has had a rough childhood, with some problems that have followed them since. But, they are working on improving their internal state.
02 — Kind-hearted by nature, but happens to be a little bit selfish sometimes. It's not to the point where they seem egoistical, but rather as a way they can still manage to protect themself.
03 — Hard shell, soft nature. In other words, they might seem intimidating at first glance, but is actually a sweetheart once you get to know them.
04 — Polite, respectful towards everyone. They don't see the point of treating strangers they don't know the story of with disrespect or rude remarks, it's a waste of time. The only times when they throw out insults and whatnot are when a loved one is hurt. They don't typically react if something negative happens to them though, a result from how they were brought up or the experiences they went through.
05 — Doesn't bear grudges, but can set down boundaries when absolutely necessary. Doesn't hesitate cutting unhealthy and toxic people out of their life, especially after certain encounters in their past.
06 — They like cooking, and/or baking especially. It's something they find relaxing, and they get quite happy when seeing someone enjoy what they made.
07 — They find peace in reading books, so libraries or cafés are often a safe space for them to be. And, you might meet your future spouse in this space by accident.
08 — Has some ear piercings, and might have one small tattoo or an eyebrow piercing for some people within this pile.
09 — Communicative, wants to work through issues and find a solution together when there's a problem instead of being angry at each other.
10 — Considerate or in other words a gentleman, but I'm not specifying gender. They're willing to do a lot for you willingly without complaints. If they complain, it's most likely a lighthearted joke that they know you'd he okay with.
Pile 03.
01 — They come from a wealthy background, either through hard work or generational wealth. Will agree to provide or have a 50/50 relationship, depending on what the two of you communicative. As long as it works out and happens to be the best for your relationship with each other, they won't mind. Both parties will contribute in their own ways! Even the most mundane contribution like giving a kiss on the cheek as a goodbye will be appreciated.
02 — Extremely communicative, and willing to talk about anything for the sake of your relationship with each other!
03 — Cares a lot about animals, most likely wanting to own a pet in the future.
04 — Older, but for some people in this pile — the person will be one year younger.
05— They have a sister who they have a close and healthy relationship with.
06 — Has a stable attachment style, but doesn't mind if their partner doesn't. They are willing to work it out with them, and help in whatever ways they can without engaging in unhealthy patterns.
07 — Has a good relationship with their parents, and treats the elderly with respect unless said elderly messes with their loved ones or treats them harshly just because they are older.
08 — Protective, can be a little bit jealous, but won't do anything that crosses your boundaries.
09 — Understanding, and empathic.

Let’s talk about “the lady doth protest too much,” because it’s a phrase I heard and used before I knew the actual context. And now, after I’ve finally gotten the context, I find myself continually thinking about its intent.
When I first heard it, (and pretty much exclusively how I still hear it) it’s been used to mean “it is suspicious that this person is denying something waaaay too hard.”
Ex. “The PR people keep insisting this chemical won’t harm the environment. They doth protest too much, methinks.”
And I never questioned that usage, because it makes sense.
Then I read Hamlet, and found that the line comes from a scene wherein Hamlet is trying to trick the people around him into revealing their guilt by having actors perform a thinly veiled parody play of his current predicament as he sees it.
In his actors’ play, the character that parallels his mother is solicited by her husband’s killer — who is also her brother-in-law. And the actress in the show denies her solicitor several times before succumbing to him.
When Hamlet turns to his mother and asks what she thinks of the show so far, he’s looking for her to see herself in the part. To react, or provide some kind of recognition of what she’s done. To condemn the clearly uncomfortable situation her character is in. But all she says is
“The lady doth protest too much, methinks.”
And I LOVE analyzing that, because my personal takeaway is like.
You know how you can write a whole poem or story about someone who’s wronged you, and they’ll read it and not see themselves in it? Yeah. (If you don’t know: this happens. A lot.)
So, whether or not she saw herself in the character onstage, My interpretation is that Gertrude (Hamlet’s mom) is revealing that her decision to marry Claudius (Hamlet’s uncle) was not a tearful and tormented decision made under coercion and duress. (Which is how Hamlet has experienced seemingly every major decision in his own life, and explains why he’d find this lack of passionate waffling to be offensive.) For better or for worse she’s revealing she just… didn’t say no to her brother-in-law.
And from there you can get into the why behind all that and her motivations and whatnot but that’s beyond the scope of what I’m trying to get into here.
“The lady doth protest too much” doesn’t read to me like condemnation of insincere delivery. Not exactly. The difference is kinda subtle, I guess.
A more parallel usage of the phrase is difficult to imagine, then, because there is some amount of self condemnation that it should invoke.
Me: “I baked you these cookies”
Them: “I shouldn’t; I’m watching my figure”
Me, knowing full well I ate five of the cookies before boxing the rest up to give: “The lady doth protest too much. Take the cookies.”

Hello muffin tis i, deluded anon with another ask. Tw for ablism i think? I am autistic and get called slurs and mocked for it by my family n friends, such as the r word n whatnot. If theres any issues that cause me stress like putting the cutlery away- they are too loud and hurt my head. Or if my clothes and everything touching me burns n pricks me, being mute on occasions i get told to get a grip n to shut up- then told off later if i was in public. They treat other autistic people differently from me n reassure them that its ok n valid but its not ok for me to be like that. Anyways i dont really do people and am attached to my teddies n plushies- they have feelings. I always take the most care with them n i dont want them to be uncomfortable, they all call me delusional and a not right for loving my plushies (and fictional women)more than them.
So what would happen if the reader were to be autistic and a maid in the castle struggling with some certain tasks and the rest of the maids treating the reader like how ive been treated (if that makes sense. Idk if i’m making sense) so readers kind of like the laughing stock for them, unbeknownst to the sisters until some maid rips a teddy or comfort item.
How would the sisters react to this? I dont think theyd like it nor tolerate it due to cassandra being autistic and daniela having adhd.
I’m sorry this is such a long ask and quite frankly too much of a self centred one. I have no idea if this makes sense- i apologies sincerely if this makes you uncomfortable in any way. Please dont feel pressured to write this.
I can 100% see the rendition of lion king being played out with dani 😂 she would without a doubt try n blag her mother into making her sister make up for being mean to her, like forfeiting a maid to her.

Tbh I’m hoping I’ll be able to get this right! I’m not autistic myself and am only going off what I’ve read here and experiences I’ve been told about by friends.
First thing I want to say hon, is that you are absolutely, 100% valid.
Nobody- and this includes you- deserves to be called slurs or treated wrongly for such reasons. There is no justification to it at all. To treat you differently while claiming to be accepting with others is awful, and I sincerely hope you will find people decent and good enough to accept you, friends especially :)
Also- plushie superiority honestly XP What are their names?👀 Have you got a fav? Or is it an I-love-them-all-equally- situation? Honestly, regarding what you’ve said about plushie love not being okay? I call bs on it. I find plushie love is one of the sweetest there is, even when I don’t have that many myself, I greatly treasure the few plushies I still have. Heck yeah XD
Is the autism and ADHD for Cassandra and Daniela canon? Or a HC?👀 I’ve never heard of it

Aight that’s it from me! This all probably made little sense, because ironically I cannot comfort at all, I suck at it in most cases, but I hope I still got the key points across somehow XD
Let’s get into it!
(Beginning of the ask)
Bela
She adores you, with all her heart
Bela loves you so much, each part of you
She tries her best to make life as comfortable as possible for you
Even if she can’t always relate to your struggles, she always attempts to ease them
The moment you open up about some of the things troubling you, Bela takes action
She takes special care to ensure the new uniforms are made of fabrics you approve and feel comfortable in, and orders them as soon as possible
Until their arrival, Bela has taken it upon herself to declare to everyone that you are not obliged to wear the old ones
Nobody dares to call you out for working in a shirt instead of the uniform, the order comes from Bela, after all, one of the highest of your superiors, right after Alcina
When the new uniforms are delivered, you can’t help but smile. They’re perfect!
Bela has the old ones disposed of, thrown someplace she can’t be bothered to know
Next, there are the tasks appointed to you
While she normally doesn’t get involved all that much in the staff’s business and shares a mutual respect with the grand chambermaid, she does interfere here
She requests that you are not given tasks in the kitchen as to not get overwhelmed by the loud noises
Nor does she wish for you to work anywhere near the basements
Of course, your lover would never allow you anywhere in the basements, even outside of work, even when she is lurking down there
It’s for safety purposes, most of all
Instead, you are usually appointed calmer places, such as the library or even the castle gardens or greenhouse at times
Bela is flustered whenever you remember to bring her a flower from the outside in winter
Aside from all these things, Bela is your shoulder to cry on, and your pillar to lean on
She never fails to reassure you how much she loves you, and how things you consider as flaws are endearing to her
She knows, sometimes you tend to be quiet, if not entirely mute
After a quick check in whether you’re all right, and you reassure her, she smiles widely
Bela treasures such silence, really
She enjoys to spend time with you, and sometimes silence is just what she needs
After all, the castle can be loud already, especially to her
Wrestling her screaming, kicking and bickering younger sisters all day and night often gives her a migraine
She loves simply cuddling in bed or sitting together, reading together or simply relaxing
Bela doesn’t mind your quietness, and she can easily either make conversation by monologing, or bask in it, even go as far as to close her eyes
She finds these moments precious
She knows nearly everything about you- all except one thing
Life among the staff
Bela doesn’t know of the torment you face, not quite
She doesn’t notice your anxiety when they make fun of you, doesn’t know about how uncomfortable you become when they poke you for fun
She doesn’t know an old uniform has been retrieved from the storage and switched with yours specifically merely to amuse the other staff members
You grit your teeth at the wrong fabric on you, the uncomfortable one that feels entirely too heavy and scratchy
No matter how much you search for the new uniform, it’s hidden far away beyond your grasp
Only when all your duties are done can your change out of it and back into your normal clothing, just in time for Bela to finish work and greet you with a warm smile
You don’t dare tell her, too worried what the other maids will do
After all, Bela can’t dispose of them all
Then there’s the noises…
How often you are brought to the edge of feeling overstimulated and overwhelmed when maids laugh and mock you, forks and knives in their hands as they slap them together
Like sticks hitting a drum, maybe
You are not oblivious to their laughter as you bury your head in your brown teddy bear and fluffy, blue arm sized blanket
Soon, you are indirectly appointed to the kitchens
Not by the grand chambermaid, nor by Bela
You feel uncomfortable at the hands grabbing you by the arms and leading you there
Their reasoning? If you don’t clean up, maidens will be hurt, and it will be your fault
Aside from this, with more hurt maidens and their panic increasing, so will the stress your girlfriend will have to face over trying to manage the castle
They know of your love for Bela, and often use it to have you do things you dislike
Such as picking up all the silverware from the wet sink, drying it in a towel of a texture you dislike, and putting them in the drawers
Their laughter and mockery rings out behind you while you’re made to finish their work
Still, as torturous as all of this is, their newest stunt is incomparable to it
As you find yourself hugging your stuffed bear yet again and cry into its fur at the loud laughter around you, you suddenly feel it tugged from you
Naturally, you try to hold on
Slurs are thrown at you. Mockery
You hear a particular loud cry, a maid calling you a baby, just before you’re suddenly sent back on the bed
You’re holding your teddy- as is the maid tugging it
Tears well up in your eyes as you hold its body, your eyes scanning the unattached leg now dropped to the floor
You feel someone snap their fingers right next to your ear and jump
More laughter
The women around you laugh and mock as you sink to the floor, your teddy and blanket held tight to you as you attempt to grasp the leg
It’s kicked in the corner of the room, and more laughter rings out when you crawl after it quickly
More harsh name calling, until eventually you grasp it
Unsurprisingly, you can’t just push it back on
You aren’t sure how much time passes until your girlfriend finds you
You aren’t even sure when you wandered off to Bela’s room. It’s as if your feet just automatically carried you to your safe place
She immediately swarms to you, her hands hovering by your arms
With a nod of your head, reassuring her it’s okay, she touches you
She immediately feels the change of fabric of your uniform. She knows, this isn’t the right one
Still, golden eyes set on the damaged teddy bear in your hands
Again, she waits for your permission before she pulls you on her lap, knowing you’re so distraught now
She grasps your hands and dries your tears, and gently holds the leg one one hand, the remaining teddy in her other
“He’s broken”, you sob, and Bela is quick to assure you
“Damaged, my dove, not broken”
She promises, she can fix your friend
And true to her word, she does
Urging you to change, she allows you to search her closet for anything that suits you
You watch with wide, hopeful eyes as she takes a sewing kid from one of her many shelves
Thankfully, your beautiful girlfriend enjoys branching out and learning so many new skills…
You watch with wonder as she adds stuffing back into the leg, and even allows you to pick a color to stitch it back together in
Dressed comfortably in her larger clothing and holding onto her pillows and your blue blanket, you watch as slowly, but surely, your friend’s leg is reattached
“He’s on bed rest now, you know”, she teases, hoping to bring a smile to your face
Bela portrays this picture of calmness for you, but rest assured, the moment she knows you’re completely calm and happy again, she will personally see to it that such actions are punished
She demands to know what has been going on with the staff, and offers you your own room, should you not want to move into hers
Bela smiles in self satisfaction as she hand picks the new recruits for cadou experiments, hunts, and, of course, Cassandra’s birthday presents ;)
Cassandra
She cares a lot about you, and is incredibly protective of you
Cassandra tries her best to make you comfortable
She knows, her fast, often dangerous and hectic movements can intimidate or scare away most. She doesn’t want that to happen with you
While Cassandra isn’t the best at listening, she takes in all you say whenever you are made uncomfortable by something
Such as the clanging of her weapons when she carelessly drops them all on a big pile
Her heart breaks a little when you cover your ears at the loud noise caused by metal hitting metal
Was she a dog, her ears would droop down
Instead, she immediately apologizes and tries to still the rocking blades
She makes sure not to clank them against one another again, instead is careful to place them down one by one
She grins widely whenever this earns her a kiss and a smile of yours
Her efforts are certainly not dismissed and ignored!
Then, there’s of course your like and dislike towards certain sensations
She can’t help but giggle when you fall into her bed the first time you touch it
She has all the perfect fabrics!
Cassandra is very picky as it comes to them, too
Her dress is tight, but soft
It doesn’t scratch along her skin and isn’t too soft to make her feel droopy. It’s just perfect to her
Her bed equals this
Soft, satin sheets she likes, and a few large pillows. Not too much, just enough for her to sleep comfortably
You love wearing her clothing. It’s perfect and doesn’t irritate your skin
In return, Cassandra doesn’t mind lending it to you, even if you don’t quite fit into it
All her clothing is custom made, such as Alcina’s dresses and the typical black dresses all three sisters like to wear
The crafter? None other than the famous other Lady of the village
Cassandra makes it a point to ask Donna for clothing made in your size. In return, she is ready to send across a few of the castle’s finest cooking ingredients
It’s working out well, and often she likes to surprise you with a new clothing item of your choice, made of a fabric of your choice
Cassandra doesn’t care for fabrics, merely the feel of them
She allows you to take charge whenever it comes to picking the right ones out
In the beginning, you worry Cassandra will mind your occasional silence
You’re all too happy to notice: she doesn’t
Cassandra talks often, but isn’t quite one for conversation
She likes monologuing, knowing you’re listening to her as she rants about her hunts and her sisters
She doesn’t take your silence as disrespect, though at times randomly reminds herself to check in whether you’d like her to keep talking or stay silent as well for some peace and quiet
She likes to bask in such silence sometimes, to have her head on your lap and play with a few of her flies while you stroke her soft hair
Another thing she’s surprised you by is regarding your stuffed animals
While she hasn’t quite got the connection to them you have, she respects it
Though, she will not allow all of them in her bed. She wants that space all to herself
Still, she is mindful to keep a corner of the bed empty for your stuffed animals, and only growls playfully when you shower them in love, subtly reminding you to place a kiss to her forehead, too
She can’t help but be a little clingy sometimes, after all
Cassandra doesn’t fault you for preferring plushies to humans. She isn’t exactly a fan of them either and rather sees them as nuisances or means to an end, after all
All except you. You’re her precious little human
And Cassandra wants to keep you safe at all times
Yet, there are things even she cannot seem to keep you safe from
Such as the staff members
You know, Cassandra doesn’t get involved with the maiden’s affairs unless to drag one to the basement
She is therefore unaware of the pokes and laughter that follow you sometimes
The slurs whispered your way… you know Cassandra would have their heads for it, yet you can’t seem to bring yourself to tell her
And they know it all too well
Your heart hurts when they talk to you, and in time, you know the only reason for this are dares
Dares, from one maid to another, to talk to you
Entertainment, as they chat and mock you subtly, trying to see how long it takes you to notice
You try to brush it off. To not let it bother you
Cassandra surely wouldn’t let it bother her! She seems so powerful…
Their words regarding this sting. How she could be with someone like you
When you’re allowing them to walk all over you
Some freak, as they say
Their words haunt you hours later even, when your shifts end and you’re cuddled up against Cassandra as she monologues about this and that while showing you her newest dagger
Then, there’s the little stuffed turtle you like to keep in your pocket
It helps you stay calm sometimes, even with the uniform being scratchy and uncomfortable
Often they laugh as they snatch your turtle from you, instead throw her through the air, right above your outstretched hands as you attempt to catch your precious friend
All other stuffed animals are kept safe in Cassandra’s room. All but this one
No one would dare venture into her territory merely to taunt you
No maid is this foolish
You gasp when the turtle is thrown yet again, high in the air in the main hall, right above your hands even as you jump to reach it
Your eyes widen when your precious stuffed animal lands right in the fireplace
Thankfully, not a lit one. It’s summer, thankfully, and the castle is warm enough as it is
But it’s hot, and dirty, and smears black dust and ashes all over the green fur
“Freak”, they taunt as they pass you, crying and attempting to wipe the dirt off
Cassandra finds you easily, having heard your fast heartbeat indicating your panic attack even from the basement
You can merely look up at her as she kneels down, her gloves easily pulled down by her teeth as she holds the little turtle
She’s very careful no blood is smeared on it or you, and opts for staying a little distant upon realising she’s covered in it nearly from head to toe
You don’t seem to mind, you can only look at the turtle, impossibly small in Cassandra’s large hands as strong fingers rub over the dirt gently
A stain remains, and you smile watery. A battle wound, maybe?
The thought comforts you only slightly
You suppose, a scar, a battle wound, wouldn’t be the worst thing…Cassandra has them, after all, scars littering her backside from challenging fights
She won, in the end
Upon demanding what happened, and hearing your tale, Cassandra sees red
She wipes the back of her hand against her lips to clean her bloodied lips, then presses a small kiss to your forehead before she swarms off
In the days to come, plenty examples are maid
Maidens are set free only to be dragged back screaming and badly hurt, begging for forgiveness as they are killed in front of the others
Others are immediately dragged to the basement
And the remaining two that have started it all, are devoured alive in front of the rest of the staff, Cassandra’s warning screamed from their lips
Never, never, will she allow someone to mistreat you again
She keeps a close eye on you, and often opts for having a few flies buzzing around you when you aren’t with her
Daniela
Daniela is a hyper little thing, full of energy and love that she wants to shower you in
She’s very clingy with you, but also incredibly perceptive
More so than her other two sisters, even
She picks up on your slight grimace when it’s dinner time and the rattling of silverware irritates your ears
Without having to tell her, Daniela is more delicate in her movements with her fork and knife- she was the main source of this noise after all, smacking them together because she is generally too energetic to sit still
Instead, she merely swarms around excitedly and annoys her sisters until the food is served
She also notices- you don’t like every clothing item she has to offer
Some just- don’t take your pick, and at first she is a little hurt
She doesn’t understand why, and worries you might think she has horrible taste
Or perhaps don’t want to wear a gift of hers altogether
Daniela tends to overthink fast, and quickly becomes a little hesitant to shower you in gifts when you don’t seem too happy with the two dresses she’s brought you
While she is all for comfort, Daniela doesn’t mind scratchiness of her gowns
Being put in so many of them for balls and events hosted by Alcina, she has learned to ignore the urge to scratch and the annoying itch caused by scratchy sleeves
Overall, she still loves gowns, and isn’t bothered by differences in textures
When you explain to her that you feel differently about this, it’s a little difficult for her to understand
However, Daniela cares about you, and if you tell her this fabric is bad fabric, she’ll tear it to pieces for you, as though you’re her fair maiden and she is the knight protecting you from the fierce dragon!
She often makes slashing noises as she does though, a little too invested in her fantasies
You don’t mind
You think her creativity and fantasy endearing, even
Daniela is curious, though. Often she will randomly swarm to you to ask whether something is good or bad, just out of curiosity, and maybe because she’s turned it into a game
She wants to see if she is getting better at telling what is good and what isn’t, so her surprises and gifts for you are ones you can actually enjoy
She brings you fabrics of gowns and shirts, food and drinks, and even once a very grumpy Bela to question whether her sister feels bad too
She claims she does, with a large, shit eating grin on her face, and you smile as her laughter is heard through the halls when she is chased down for such behaviour, likely made to sit and listen to another lecture of the blonde should she be caught
You find, you look forward to hearing Daniela complain about it
While Daniela can be very loud and hyper at times, and often enough you join in, she doesn’t mind times you’re quiet either
She had no trouble at all leading a conversation, either monologuing or talking for so long and so fast, there’s no way for anybody else to join in anyway
Often, when she notices you’re in a quieter mood, she’ll take control of the conversation until the other person leaves
In return, she only expects a smile, and a kiss to her face
Yet, as much as Daniela dotes on you and coddles you, there are others who are not as sweet
Others, who do not make you feel as welcome
Others, who dare make you feel as though you aren’t normal. Not “right”
The maidens at Castle Dimitrescu can be ruthless, sometimes, especially to outsiders
Being Daniela’s partner has made you an outsider
And having autism has made you their target
They thread carefully at first, knowing you are not only under Daniela’s protection, but by this also under Bela and Cassandra’s
Should they hurt you, it hurts Daniela, after all. Alas, you have three murderous fly women on your side
However…what they don’t know…
It starts off with a group of four who take, seemingly, immense pleasure in taunting you
Their hatred comes from being small minded, and jealous, yet knowing this does nothing to help you
They don’t understand- how come you get to wear a different uniform than them?!
How come you never have to clean up the table and wash the dishes and silverware?
How come you get to work in quiet, reserved locations and get to take so many breaks, while they are to work near the entrance to the dungeons, the screams of their fellow fallen maids taunting them
How come they fear for their life, and you never need to?
You are a target by far too soon
You often find yourself crying and hiding at your bed as they laugh and bicker about, silently wishing Daniela opts for a random visit and slays them all
She doesn’t, and won’t. She isn’t allowed into the maid quarters
Their shrill laughter and loud voices hurt your ears, and as you find yourself clutching one of the stuffed animals not tucked away in Daniela’s room- a grey, knit bear- they laugh even more
Soon, you are titled as a baby and inhuman for your affection towards the stuffed animal
You feel fear shoot through you whenever you don’t find him sitting at your pillow
Often, they wave the teddy in front of you, snickering and commanding this and that
They’re playing God, and for moments you feel as though they are the predators of this castle
With the wish to receive your stuffed animal again, you clean their beds and bring their plates, silverware and cups to the kitchens after supper
Usually, you receive your bear again
Not yet this time, it seems
“Go and get it, if you dare” they snicker as they throw it down the stairs to the basement
You gulp. You know, you aren’t supposed to go down there
No maid is, but especially you
Even Daniela has forbidden you from stepping in the cellars
You shudder at the memory of her truthful description upon being asked what lies down there. Monsters with swords and sickles, mold and blood, pain and the reek of the dead, corpses and torture chambers
But…your bear
You venture down as they snicker, and jump when the door clasps shut behind you
As tears sprint to your eyes, you hear a lock. No going back now, either way
You gulp at the loud whimpers and cries, and the distant screams and groans of the undead
It’s dark, and you can barely make a thing out
You jump when you hear a loud gasp from one of the cells and a hand reaches through the bars, as though to reach you
Immediately, you keep on running
More hands shoot out, some grazing your arm and dirtying your uniform, others mere inches away from your skin
You nearly trip a few times, the floor stony and littered with buckets, thrown over tables and chairs, dull knives and what not
It’s so dark, so that you can barely make out your own hands and the ones reaching for you
You shriek as a body bag drops in front of you, immediately taking off to run another direction
Again, you scream, when you run into something
A monster?! It’s so dark you-
“Uh-“
You blink at Cassandra’s voice, and upon opening your eyes, you find golden ones staring down at you
She seems almost unsure. You aren’t supposed to be in the basements, and were you anybody else, she would have already dug her sickle into you and called you a foolish prey for running right to her
But…you’re Daniela’s
You jump at a second gasp, and whine when another pair of golden eyes sets on you
Thankfully, these do not belong to Bela Dimitrescu. You recognize the light green colour shining through gold in them
Daniela!
She gasps when you run into her, quickly adjusting her hand so you don’t run right into the scalpel you can’t see in the dark
Immediately, her shock is covered by concern when she smells the fear surrounding you
She demands to know what you’re doing her, even if she feels flustered upon thinking you might have missed her and wanted to see her bad enough to venture into the cellars
Upon opening up about the bear, you feel her grasp your hand tightly
She promises, she’s going to find it with you
You nod shakily as Cassandra grins, having just received a reason to go upstairs and cause some more trouble along the maidens
With a lit torch held tightly in Daniela’s hand, it’s by far easier to navigate the dim basement
You realise the hands reaching out were maids, now backed far in the corner of their cells to avoid Daniela’s gaze
But the redhead doesn’t mind them. She is focused on finding your bear
And find him she does, after a while of searching
You nearly whimper when she holds it up between two fingers, the fabric soaked in blood and dirt and a rat having already started to eat away at its side
She hugs you tightly as she explains, it must be disposed of
It’s a major health risk by now, having been exposed to the mold of the basement and who knows what else
You spend the next couple of days entirely in her bed, cuddled up under the covers and crying your heart out between your other stuffed animals
At last, Daniela enters, a nervous smile on her face
You notice her hand behind her back, and lift your head curiously
“So, I know it’s not the same, but I told Bela what happened and asked her to fix it…”, she trails off
You can’t help but smile and cry as she pulls her hand to the front, a bear, knit nearly perfectly and in the exact same colour as yours, sitting in her palm
“She’s actually really good at this stuff. I made her make me an octopus. I named her Sally”

In AHLO did you feel that it was some key change in his characterization that made him more jaded than cruel and malicious after Baghra's death or do you see it as more of a pendulum which could swing either way?
This is tricky, because there are a few things going on in A Hundred Lifetimes Ago that made him react to Baghra's death differently than in book canon.
The first is the specific flavor of immortality in that fic. The OG trilogy never uses the word immortal, and though the Darkling does use it about himself in the KoS duology, it's not well established exactly how immortality does and doesn't work. So I went with strict immortality – they cannot be killed by anything they know of or have tried. This means that he knows that his mom didn't die when everyone else thought that she had. This was one of the big inspirations for a lot of this fic, actually – that in that situation, he'd be reacting to a permanent (semi-permanent?) abandonment, with no real sacrifice on her part, which is a different situation than what we see (or are led to believe happened) in canon.
Related to that immortality is his stricter belief in Alina's innate immortality than in we see in canon. He knows of two (2) people who will live forever, and one of them has abandoned him. He cannot afford the other one doing so. No cost is too great to avoid that outcome.
The other thing going on is that I just made a different authorial choice than Bardugo did on what part of his mindset to emphasize. R&R had him go full crazy after Baghra's death, and I know people deal with grief in different ways and whatnot but I always thought it felt too much like trying to drive home the point that he was A Bad Guy. I think his "it may well take me another lifetime to break you, Alina, but I will put my mind to the task" bit was a a great line, more in character, and there's even a simpler solution than him putting his mind to anything – literally all he had to do was wait! So with the differences in immortality, I went with him deciding to focus on waiting for her to break rather than doing (more) things that she would never be able to forgive.
Which is maybe a long complicated way of saying that I think we see hints of different angles of him in book canon, and that fic specifically was looking at the question of, what if he'd tried waiting rather than lashing out? How might things have been different?

We’ll Be Right Back AU
Five dimensionally displaced children: a witch-in-training, a Wisconsin runaway, and three close friends, all stuck in a world not their own and searching for a way back.
Three unusual online “shows,” altogether revealing to Earth the shocking existence of otherworldly adventures with actual magic, talking frogs, and infinite trains.
One cosmic storyteller, both watching its newest audience melt down from such earthshaking revelations, and recording the currently unfolding stories of its unwitting protagonists.
In other words, welcome one and all to an absolutely buck wild crossover between Amphibia, Infinity Train, and The Owl House (plus a little Gravity Falls for bonus flavor)!

Part canon divergence, part fusion worldbuilding project, and 100% the unholy love child of The Truman Show and a react fic, the We’ll Be Right Back AU runs on the fun little idea that during Luz, Anne, and Tulip’s isekai adventures, their shenanigans got being transmitted back home for all of Earth to react and adapt to - and with all chaotic ripple effects on canon and society alike that implies!
After all, this AU isn’t only about the isekai protagonist trio returning to a world vastly different from the one they last remembered (especially with the whole startup religion about them and whatnot for example) and how that affects canon going forwards. Rather, it is also about exploring the various perspectives and worldbuilding shifts caused by these mysterious transmissions, and I would like to extend an open invitation for anyone interested in exploring these depths as well!
To put a fraction of this whole AU into perspective, just consider how WE the IRL fandoms know that these series are just cartoons with fictional characters and fantastical made-up scenarios that don’t exist in real life. WE are comfortably safe to hold the assumption that everything will work out by the end by virtue of plot armor and narrative conventions dictating so. 
But for Earth here in the We’ll Be Right Back AU, they don’t have ANY of that to fall back on. 
Actual goddamn magic, the confirmation of the multiverse, multiple sapient alien species, the probable answer to so, so many missing persons cases with the train, and etc. Just one of these fictional concepts being made true and known to the entire world would be enough to throw humanity into mass chaos, and yet Earth has to contend with ALL of them becoming undeniable facts about the reality they have to live with. 
Oh, and fun fact: because these transmissions are edited recordings of true events as well as how in-show timelines don’t necessarily line up with IRL airing schedules, the people of Earth get to see actual children be in real near-death situations - and in effectively real time at that! 
Now consider just how existentially unnerving it would be to watch the struggles of said kids be reduced into literal entertainment -their tribulations repackaged as ‘television shows’ with ‘overarching plots- for Earth to “enjoy.” Almost as if they were characters unknowingly acting out a play dictated by the mysterious entity/upload account known only as “the Transmitter,” and with no certainty as to whether the kids’ ‘stories’ will actually have a happy ending…
Needless to say, lots of peoples’ sleep schedules get completely screwed after discovering the transmissions for many different reasons both right and wrong lol.
After all, after seeing such an apparent example in Amphibia, Infinity Train, and The Owl House, who wouldn’t be agonizing over asking whether they themselves were also but a plaything dancing to the unknown whims of a higher being with no clear autonomy?
And on the flipside, who wouldn’t look at the society-flipping revelations or narrative framing of the transmissions and come to the conclusion that the Transmitter obviously is a god/like being informing humanity of Anne, Luz, and Tulip’s in progress divine destinies, and that it’s clearly instructing the formation of a religion of them and the trio?
Sure makes one wonder which interpretation is correct, let alone if either of them are correct in the first place, doesn’t it…
Overall, these are but a mere fraction of the sheer amount of possible stories that could be told within the We’ll Be Right Back AU, some of which you can even read over in the original forum thread where me and a couple of other folks put this whole AU together in the first place.
For example, we’ve got a dive into how the lives of some of Anne’s classmates were affected because of the international attention on the Amphibia trio spilling over, what it was like for Tulip to catch up with a familiar face after getting off of the train, a quick look at some of the fun ways pop culture has adjusted after the transmissions, and even how the Transmitter’s presence could completely alter the context of a certain encounter with Emperor Belos.
And if anyone’s interested in taking the plunge and contributing, there no need to worry about contributing fully fledged snippets or necessarily adhering to one particular “canon.” With the sheer scope and the many possible directions the base idea of this AU can take, as well as how the real world and real people are often messy and imperfect, feel free to contribute however you want! From fic drabbles about your own plotline for the AU to literally the laziest and unfunny memes you’re able to whip together in five minutes (no joke, the shittier the better), there will always be a niche anything you come up with can fill out!
Altogether, this is an open invitation to a sandbox I hope you all will enjoy playing in, and feel free to ask me any questions you have and or for prompts on how to start!

step I:        do something else first! for me personally i always consume a shitload of different media. no matter if it's books, movies, music or video games. i usually just tend to watch one of the gazillion fantastic movies out there (if you ever need a recommendation just hmu, i'm your friendly walking movie encyclopedia) and that alone helps me overcome any writers block. documentaries help, too! just anything that broadens your horizon really, that make you deal with situations you don't have to deal with. it doesn't neccessarily have to match the mood of your texts, but it helps.

step II:   ​​​   plotting & planning. before i start writing any text i plot it beforehand. that doesn't mean that i know every little thing that's gonna happen, but i loosely build my structure beforehand. some scenes live very vividly in my head before writing them down, other ones just start to form on the go and sometimes i don't even know how i'm going to connect scene a) and scene b). when i hear anything that inspires me i write it down somewhere. even if it's just a couple of words. for me personally, thinking about how the scene's going to look also helps me massively. i often work with the senses in my texts. for example: you have that eerie basement waiting for you, there are shadows hidden in the corners, looking like people. the dust particles are reflecting the warmtoned light of the flashlight in your hands, barely shedding enough light to see anything properly. your palms are sweaty, it's the tension and the fear you feel rushing through your veins. the silence is almost deafening, sometimes you don't really realize it's there until you feel it weighing heavily on you. and then the smell: that god-forsaken smell of decay. the smell no one actually ever gets used to.  and now you have a setting for your character to interact with. things your character can react to. it's just like in the movies, where you're constantly in awe because of the magnificent set design. from there it's easy peasy lemon squeezy.

step III:        the right music. sounds like the most obvious thing out there, i know. i make playlists for every text i write and just listen to them over and over and over again to get myself in that kind of emotional level. for example: i've recently been listening to the soundtracks of se7en, haunting of hill house, far cry 5 and doctor sleep when writing elizabeths latest text, and then changed to kristofferson 2 (fantastic mr. fox), stuff we did (up), in another life (eeaao), mia & sebastian's theme – celesta (la la land) and magic tree and i let myself go (great gatsby) when writing another (very sad, haha) text from elijah's past. i usually just stick to instrumental music but sometimes other tunes with words can help to put you in the right mood, too.

step IV:   ​​​   practice makes perfect (and the dullness of perfectionism). you're now getting advice from someone who's (partly) paid for their creativity so it's somewhat professional lol. creativity is something you have to nourish and take care of just as your body, your mental health, your habits and whatnot. the more routine you get in being creative the easier it gets. that doesn't neccessarily mean that everything you create, write or think about will be damn good. sometimes you have really really really shitty ideas. sometimes you gonna reread your texts and have this "i started walking and my legs were walking"-typa shit going on. but that's okay. it's all a process. you just gotta start. that's why i start with trying to grasp the atmosphere my character's navigating through, because it gives me a head start. your stuff doesn't have to be perfect. it will never be. and the sooner you're accepting that perfectionism is a construct that's more of an utopia than anything else, you start to feel less pressured in many ways. perfection is boring, that's why perfect characters with barely any flaws at all are boring.

step V:   ​​​   the little things. we gonna get a little sappy here and this might not work for every person, but it sure as hell helped me. inspiration is everywhere. just as joy and beauty and moments we deem as perfection is everywhere. i noticed my texts got way better when i described very "simple" scenes that happened and filled them with fragments of memories like smells or little details. thus i started to pay attention to my surroundings more: started to look up when taking a walk, how friends of mine act around each other with their little quirks and habits, found beauty in the smallest little moments, like when the person you hug just tightens their grip halfway through. or when you cook dinner and this ray of sunshine's hitting your hands in just the right angle. or you listen to that one song that makes you remember this stupid thing that happened seven years ago. find beauty in the little things because there really is beauty in everything. even in our darkest moments, even in sadness, even in grief. i think we all have a gift with our creativity, because we can put the emotions we have into words and share them with people.

ok so Talky Tuesday huh!
Someone asked about like, what it's like in the first few days after waling up, and I drafted this, then got unhappy that it's not as first-few-days specific as I want it to be. But it sure is a ramble about the Survivors dealing with their stuff! So here it is, and maybe I'll have a better answer for that other person later. Uuuuuh yeah!
In general, just waking up from a sci-fi induced coma-nap is probably very disorienting, nevermind waking up into your slightly grown-out adult body that feels very uncannily familiar.
It sort of looks like they all woke up at the same time, with their world collapsing and whatnot, so it's probably just a matter of who reacts first. Souda, Hajime and Akane all make sense as characters that are quick (and loud) to react to things.
Akane has trouble even sitting up, being very malnourished and generally stiff from laying there- you know that nasty blackout dizziness you get when you're iron deficient as hell and get up too quick? It's so different from the Her that was talking about fighting just a minute ago, she might even panic (very unusual for her) when she realizes she's gonna need help getting out if she doesn't wanna tumble and fall.
I've said before that I like the idea of Souda having a muzzle (just because). Maybe it's locked somehow, and he needs help getting it off? Physically, he's fine- buffer than before, even- but it's quiet for the first few seconds and it freaks him out. He's the first to get out of his pod, just to make sure he's not alone.
Sonia is also physically fine, but her hair is all over the place- no time to put it up all fancy before getting into the digital world, I guess. She's a little hesitant to sound off or get out, since she was pretty scared when leaving the digital world, but reacts quickly to hearing Akane and Souda. She's the most unscathed, physically, which maker her feel really guilty for having been sitting in her ivory tower while commanding people.
Fuyuhiko had time to get used to his lack of an eye, so being half-blind doesn't really freak him out (until he looks at his blind eye in the mirror). He's just a slightly more calculating guy, so he waits to make sure everyone's 'in their right mind' so to speak, before getting up and out. The oddest thing is the tattoos he doesn't remember getting, and the worst part is he stayed short king while everyone else seems to have gained at least a couple inches.
Hajime is a combination of groggy and disoriented, what with being sort of newly-present in his own head, but also hyper aware of everything. He can hear everyone as they wake up, he feels tubes in his veins and he knows what they're for, he remembers being a human lab rat, he's taller, he hears Souda calling him, there is hair all up in his face, he's way buff now, his head hurts, his eye hurts, he sees people looking down at him, a part of his brain is freaking out about being podded again and another part is telling him to calm down. He doesn't really snap back into focus until he's taken all the tubes out and ensured there's no one else in the building.
That's the wakey wakey eggs 'n' bakey part. Then there's the days after.
Akane is pretty upset about her Whole Situation. The last stuff she talked about before the GameWorld collapsed was how she was confident in fighting back, and now she has trouble keeping up with everyone on a simple walk. She's definitely not used to being the Weakest, and it doesn't help that the boys seem to have buffed out, too. Thankfully Hajime has Nekomaru's talents, so he can get her on a meal plan and physical therapy plan right away. It still sucks so much, and she doesn't like to think about it, and isn't a fan of looking in the mirror, and she especially hates the knowledge that anyone could overpower her in her new state and she'd be defenseless. BUT, because she sure is Akane, she channels the agonies of losing the pride and joy she sculpted into regaining it bigger and better than before. It's a little weird and uncomfortable for everyone else at first, how she's very deliberately not thinking about it and not talking about how she feels, but she comes around the healthier she gets, and eventually she can talk about it on light notes ("if I weren't a bag of bones right now I'd kick your ass", "you guys get to have BACON but i have to eat this SMOOTHIE CRAP sorry hajime thanks for the smoothie hajime"). Thankfully- unfortunately- she's used to having the world yanked from under her and landing on her feet. And she has some solid friends that she can say is confident won't leave her in the lurch or take advantage of any kind, and will stay strong for her until she's back to being The Strongest aside from Hajime and eventually Nekomaru. Honestly the whole experience is a bit of an exercise in learning that being weak for a little while won't kill her (this time) and that she has a purpose besides being strong. Nekomaru talked about putting more of an emphasis on her self-control and spirituality, and I think he'd be real proud of her progress when he wakes up.
I might've mentioned before that I think Souda has like... the closest thing to an improvement? A lot of the things he considers important are in place; he has his friends, and they remember him, and they won't (can't) leave, and he is kind of super important now considering they're roughing it on an abandoned island and he's The Machine Guy. Doesn't mean he's not freaked out about it all, though. For one, there is a room with sleeping (dead??) terrorists with his friends' faces, and he isn't sure if they'll wake up, or when, or if they'll still be his friends. He does have his four closest friends with him, but they're also all he has, and the pressure of Not Fucking Up is heavier now than ever. Also is his dad still alive or what?? He doesn't remember, and has a couple of guesses how that might've ended, but no answers. Not great for his anxiety! He throws himself into being useful a little bit, making a wheelchair for Akane in case her legs give out at a bad time, sews a new eyepatch for Fuyuhiko (yeah apparently he can sew! Handy boy), sets off just trying to Fix What's Broke on the island. It's a coping mechanism, maybe not the best one but definitely not the worst. The first couple of days, he gets these really bad headaches, realizes fairly quickly (when it's nighttime and no one's awake and he needs to get his mind off stuff but doesn't wanna bother anyone but wow he's more of a nightowl than he remembered) that he needs caffeine a lot more than he used to. Kicking that habit is still a work in progress. Going out on the ship and doing daring deeds of good is his own personal challenge to be braver.
Sonia is physically stellar. Maybe even better than she used to be, almost; her skin is extra silky smooth, the clothes she had with her are all gorgeous, her hair and nails are perfectly trimmed and clean (save for whatever Pod grime might exist). It feels bad though, because a good princess wouldn't be pristine while the entire world is in chaos and war. She doesn't exactly have internet access, but she asks Hajime to ask Makoto what's going on in her country, and the non-answer was a very telling "you don't want to hear this right now". She demands to because she isn't one to shy away from the brutal stuff, but yeah, it does not do wonders for her mental state. One of the first things she does to try and make peace with her new self is cutting her hair and throwing the fancy ballgowns into some backroom storage (who knows, maybe Mahiru or Hiyoko will want to try them on). She doesn't have a kingdom anymore and she wouldn't want to call herself a princess even if she did, but she does have the island- later, the ship- and the new world. And it's. Something? Not something to rule, but something to care for and respect. It sucks that she'll never get to have the "normal" experiences she wanted, like walking to school with a certain someone or having a picnic in a public park or doing The Karaoke, since normal innocent things like that no longer exists without substantial pretending. Her Despair self really screwed her over by making sure she'd never get to pretend to be an average girl, and she keeps feeling the effects for years to come.
Fuyuhiko has been great at compartmentalizing for a long time now (so is Akane, but Fuyuhiko hasn't lost The Most Important Thing to him- that happened in the game, and hes already gotten used to Filing It Away). Even when they gradually get their memories back, he has the easiest time handling it because unlike them, he's already aware of his own capacity for lethal violence. Like Sonia, he struggles with his identity being meaningless now, but while her title was one of a huge scale, his was always a bit more contained, and he can project it onto the handful of friends he has left. It's not yakuza, but it's not so different either; he's back to being feared and mistrusted, and taking responsibility for bad things while trying to sneak in some good here and there. He's not commanding anyone, but he is a bit of a strategist, and he doesn't have underlings, but he has friends, and he's just as serious about them being under his protection as he would be about fellow yakuza. It's fine and he can handle it, but he also feels really useless. Kazuichi is a weapons and bomb expert, Akane is more of a martial fighter than he'll ever be, and Hajime is just The Best At Everything obviously. Sonia is basically Fuyuhiko's talent times a hundred (minus the prim and proper princess part). All Fuyuhiko can do is plan, delegate, shoot a gun, and do his best to keep everyone going (even Hajime, who otherwise takes that last job upon himself). It turns out he's actually great at corralling people into taking care. He'll end up being a bit too good at compartmentalizing and doesn't allot himself much time to grieve and come to terms, which isn't great for someone with a chronic guilt problem (I've mentioned this before, but everyone has an unspoken agreement to make sure he doesn't do anything rash in the heat of battle or the aftermath). His dedication to being a better person stays strong. Also he smokes now?? Which he hates but also he figured it would happen at some point.
Hajime is the most difficult: he has his own inferiority complex, but he's objectively hyper competent. He's a little bit the most normal of them, but he's a superhuman talent machine. He barely knows who he is, but he remembers everything. He has a very, very hard time, but he's so goddamn good at pushing it aside and focusing on everyone else, until he isn't, and just kind of falls apart. I've already talked about Hajime post-game several times, I dont wanna repeat myself too much, so I'll talk about the distant future; but he's both a shamble of a human being and also the best leader possible for this group. He's got issues but, and I have to underline this, he is so appreciated and favoured and loved that he almost can't help evolving into his best self. It takes time and effort and trials and error but god damn he ends up happy despite everything.

Travis HCs because he deserves them:
• Ain’t no way he isn’t younger than the rest of the group (except Vylad, because dead people don’t really age per say), he gives me the vibes. Perhaps like 18-19 or something
• He wears a mini pony tail to keep his hair out of his face when he’s fighting and what not (or just in general because he finds it quite annoying)
•he has a few freckles..? (not like many, there’s like 6 or 7 in total)
•dimples (that I don’t know how to draw)
•He lives in the tree house along with Vylad and Laurance. Aaron sleeps either at his little set up camp, or sometimes at the tree house when the weather gets rough. (A big ass tree makes for a big ass house)
Travis does eventually get his own place, although it’s on the island. he also claims the little cave on the mountain as his own
• He can shapeshift (cuz witchcraft + demon abilities and whatnot, plus if the imps and his dad can shapeshift, so can he ), but not extended periods of time. He’s a) not very good at witchcraft and b) part human so he struggles a bit more w/ that stuff
It doesn’t really bother him all that much before the rest of the cast scoops him up, as he (canonically) lives in an isolated cabin, in the mountains, away from any sort of civilization (the closest being the town, which just about hates him and still isn’t all that close). Who the hell does he need to look human for? The snow? The trees?
He mainly uses his human form only to sneak in and out of the village to get foods he can’t find in the forest (fruits and vegetables imported from warmer regions, meats when he can’t catch anything) and his (fully) demon form when fighting mainly his dad and his dad’s imps (just to look a little more intimidating)
• When he becomes part of the group though, he becomes kind of insecure; he fears rejection and is scared that if they see what he actually looks like they’ll change their minds on him and hate or hurt him and he’ll be all alone again.
This leads to him pushing his limits and often hiding away whenever he needs a moment to regain his strength. Until the moment w/ the Demon Warlock on the new island, only Aph knows. When she found him (Enki Island), he wasn’t expecting to find a human so far away from the village. Took him a while (most likely longer than in canon) to believe that she wasn’t his father or one of his imps, to which he changed to his human form and apologized profusely when he realized.
• His human form is mostly made up by him in an attempt to look more like his mom. Like in Canon, he has a couple different forms, but his “natural” forms are mixes between a human and a demon. They just kinda change every once in a while depending on his environment, health, ect. *, so he never really looks quite the same. Both his human and demon forms (as well as any other form e.g animals, other people, ect.) are forms he physically has to shift into/require and use up energy to be in
*e.g climate/weather may determine some aspects like horn size and skin color; dark energy/vibes (like those around the nether, or his father) or high stress situations makes him (his natural form) look a little more demonic as his body reacts to the energy around him, while he looks a little more human in relaxed, light hearted situations where he doesn’t feel in danger or when there is overall good energy/vibes (like the energy Aph emits when she heals stuff) and that sort of stuff
Like a defense mechanism (kinda like how some animals try to make themselves bigger in the face of a threat)
• Canon was wrong, he is not.. like that.. no. His mom taught him better than that. He respects women very much.
•He’s socially awkward, and definitely comes off as a little weird and blunt and overall just a little off. (He’s really sweet, just not smooth with his delivery)
• His mom was a really big inspiration for him growing up and he really strives to be like her and he’s deathly afraid of becoming like his father (canon I’m pretty sure, but thought to include it anyway)
• He’s really good friends with Vylad and Aaron; they are like partners in crime, and bond over not being very good with words/social interactions.
When Aaron died and Vylad went off with Laurance to the nether, Travis felt at just about his worst in a long while. He would barely go out (specifically after Aaron’s death, but got worse after Vylad and Laurance’s disappearance), often staying in his room for a few days on end until Katelyn and Luci would drag him out to get some fresh air and get his mind off things. Sometimes they also went with Aph as she was in a similar boat. Travis got closer to Katelyn and Luci during this time. He also started hanging out more with Aph so that neither of them would feel so alone (*coughcoughnotalonebuddiescoughcough*)
•He steps outside and within 10 minutes he is sun burnt and on the verge of a heat stroke /hj
He can be outside for short periods of time before getting some symptoms of heat exhaustion (the amount of time he is able to be outside lengthens the longer he stays in Ru’aun as he starts to adapt to the climate)
When he first got there he was not vibing. Like At all.
He protects his skin a lot, so he gets less sunburns
•Since there is no such thing as AC in this era, as a welcoming gift, Luci took it upon herself to put a spell on Travis’s room so that it would stay colder (aka it’s like a freezer now), so he actually gets sleep at night. Vylad and Laurance like to hang out there when it’s too hot out during the day, although it gets too cold for their liking after a while

I wanted to talk about this small thing I noticed about Ciel (in the manga) and its about the spider thread motiv metaphor thingy
Ive had some trouble really putting this into words, so I'll just describe the moment I noticed this. When I was reading the manga for the first time and I got to the point in the Green Witch arc where Ciel holds a gun to Sieglindes head and tells her that she can chose if she wants to get shot and not deal with the difficult realities of the 'outside world' or if she wants to live, I thought "oh. Huh. this is a lot like the moment where Ciel made his contract with Sebastian"
And then afterwards I thought a bit more about it and how Ciel is effectively presenting other people with this 'spider's thread', this opportunity to escape and heal from trauma and stuff in their past, in the same way he was. And yeah, there are obviously ulterior motives I dont think Ciel is doing that out of the kindness of his heart and I think he's very selfish and doing it for selfish reasons, but he's still doing it yknow. Idk I just think its interesting to compare Ciel and Sebastian like that and how this contract has probably really affected the way he thinks about life and second chances and whatnot
This isnt really related bc its about season 2 and I wanna do my best to keep the anime and manga as like, seperate timelines, but I honestly feel that Ciel would genuinely be quite happy as a demon (atleast for a while until Immortality Fatique sets in or qhatever we wanna call that). I know that people have a lot of different opinions on season 2 and the ending in particular and I dont really know how I feel about it either tbh, but I do think Ciel becoming a demon makes sense just from a standpoint of like, his characterization. At least, in the manga. See this where we get into differences between the manga and the anime, because in the anime they got rid of most of that and pretty much all that remains is Ciels monologue to Soma and that whole chracter arc and thats it. And I do think thats a shame and a huge missed opportunity, especially considering season 2 has all the spider symbolism with Claude and Alois and you could really do some interesting stuff there
But anyway, back to the manga. I feel like the way they're going to expand on this theme/motiv after the introduction of the other Ciel is by making a point about like, actually dealing with trauma vs living in ignorance yknow what I mean. Because the way our Ciel describes it is like, he was offered this thread but then he had to choose to grasp it and also pull himself upwards again with his own strength, whereas with the real Ciel its more like someone caught him with a net and pulled him out of his terrible situation with the real Ciel not being granted a choice or agency in the matter. And like, the real Ciel doesnt really react to anything its like his traumatic experience had no effect on his whatsoever and he truly is more like a doll than a real human being who needs to deal with his past
Also, if we wanna talk about agency regarding the two Ciels we can also talk about the chess metaphors. Our Ciel will often posit himself as both the chess player, someone who is in complete control of his pieces but otherwise removed from them, and as the king, who is not only a piece on the board like everyone else but who is in need of constant protection from everyone while also having the power to end the entire game. Its an intersting dichotomy and I think you could do some intersting stuff with that if you tried to deconstruct that a little. Our Ciel could say that hes the player while the real Ciel is just a piece on the board without agency but then maybe you could make a point about our Ciel was living as someone else for three years and most of his decisions were informed by that so its almost like he had no agency either. Idk just some stuff I was thinking about

Thank go you recognized my phone auto corrected nemona to bemoan... if I'm reading this correctly she's pretty friendly w the team star grunts then? Nemona is the one running them off from what you've said
LMAO, sometimes, my brain gets it on the first try because I too, get slapped by auto correct (i've also heard her name often changed to stuff like pneumonia, because a lot of the PokeTubers doing summarized videos, with scripts at the side to help them out, have to CONSTANTLY deal with the autocorrect on that end).
But yeah, Scarnoa is on friendly terms with Team Star as a whole. And like, Nemona doesn't really step in until she HAS to, which is whenever Team Star is trying to recruit people and all that jazz.
Otherwise, she has no reason to confront them, like...if they're just standing there, the most she'll do is go, "I know a lot of us hate the uniform policy, but try to keep to it just a bit more, yes?"
And then she'll just walk off, because they're not breaking any rules. If they're vibing, then they're vibing, unless Clavell has to tell her to give them their make up work, then that's a different situation all together, where she drops by the bases to like "Clavell says you can take however much time you want, there's no rush!!! Just make sure to finish it, yes?"
And then she bounces off.
Nemona does, however, react whenever Team Star is trying to recruit people - she can't always be there to stop it, but she is currently prioritizing Scarnoa, given her situation. So she's just a tad more protective while she's adjusting to the Academy and stuff.
Student Council President and whatnot, she takes her position absolutely serious, despite the fact that I like to think she was brought in as a replacement, apart from Giacomo being too strict, because her family is rich (listen, I refuse to believe that the deputy director that got fired didn't partake in some embezzling at the side, alongside expunging records and whatnot - anyways that's my headcanon).

since in jks tribe or cult idk its tricky, they treasure woman and the bond with one. How would they react to tae's hookup ideas? What if oc had the same ideas yk, like I think she wasn't thinking long term. I think she was actually like thinking of a lil hook up fun lol. So what are their ideas on that type of situations?

Uuuu, this is a good question!
So, we saw how Tae got real cozy with two of the tribes' women, and no one around him batted an eye to that, rather, multiple people around the bonfire became more intimate.
When I was writing TDMOE I got a clear vision that the group would def be more open and in tune with their sexuality, affection, etc. They don't follow society's traditions, or judgment - they have their own rules, and 'hookups'/sex is more or less seen as something natural. As long as both/all parties are consensual, no one cares, rather, encourage it (their survival is based on their numbers).
Now, if Tae were to force himself on them, that would be a whole different conversation. For one, he felt so free because of the drink (and the drink was given as sort of a test to see his truest 'self'), aaand, that way he'd be breaking their most important rule - and we saw what happened when one of the men accidentally harmed MC 😬
You're right! MC wasn't thinking of anything long-term, for her, it was just fun and a moment of freedom!
I was thinking, how would JK react if MC was to now look for "quick fun" (that is if the terrifying moment of the video and failed escape did not happen); even though I said the tribe is more 'open' to hookups and whatnot, JK is a domineering leader, and he'd def act that way towards his 'partner' as well, so he'd not let it slide.
I imagine it would start off with him blocking whoever MC was looking at, but if it were to progress, he'd have no problem accelerating his own methods. But overall that is very unlikely, as hookups are the last thing MC is thinking about, aaand if I ever write a pt.2, MC and JK are basically bound together, so that wouldn't work out... 😗

🧩 Awww, thank you, Anon!! I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed the event! At first I was unsure of whether people would like to see a young Ruki, but for me it was an entertaining challenge to portray him in his child form with all the aristocratic talk, the history changes, the technological advancements, his fear with the unknown surroundings, etc. I hope to come up with more exciting events in the future! And of course if anyone has any ideas for events, I’d be down for suggestions too! To be honest, I thought of having a yandere!Ruki event (like, Ruki after he has really lost it and gets possessive over his lovers on this blog), or perhaps other AU events like royalty and whatnot. I know he’s never the Vampire king in his routes but a girl can dream. Anyway, these words mean so much to me. It’s very fun for me to organize these events and place myself in a different writer’s perspective by thinking of how a child would react to different situations. Though I must admit, it’s great to focus on regular Ruki again, haha. He’s far easier for me to write than young!Ruki. 🔥 Looking for D&D Players • A Song of Elturel • Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus • Beginners Welcome!

Well met! 👋
My name is Annie, and I’m a DM of about a year (baby, I know). I'm looking to start a fortnightly (once every two weeks) Saturday (CST) game of significantly modified Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus (level 1-13) + Alexandrian Remix, starting sometime in August.
I’m looking for 2-3 players to round out a couple of friends from previous campaigns. We have a very roleplay-heavy and invested playstyle, so please make sure you read through this post carefully — we don’t want to waste your time!
New players and beginners are always welcome, we’re happy to show you the ropes as long as you’re willing to learn.
「 The Adventure 」
Here is a visual primer PDF of the setting, theme and whatnot about the adventure. It’s also on the blog as an image set. I recommend reading the primer thoroughly, but if chunks of text aren't your thing, I will also be covering the setting and social contract information in it during our Session 0.
🔥 Here’s the rundown:
Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus is an adventure that starts as a mystery-solving urban caper in the metropolis of Baldur's Gate. After that, the campaign turns into an open-world exploration of deadly, uncharted terrain -- spoiler alert, it's Hell.
You will navigate tricky infernal contracts, forge alliances with individuals who might not be quite who they seem, uncover stories and tales lost to time, and face unspeakably dangerous odds.
The adventure is quite combat heavy on its own, but this group, I've found, is rp-heavy enough to overturn that. As such, I predict the adventure to be 60:40 rp:combat.
🔥 Setting
A portion of the adventure will take place in Baldur's Gate in the form of an intrigue-filled, mystery-solving urban crawl.
The rest of the adventure comprises of travel-heavy "sandbox" -- a majority of which will, unsurprisingly, take place in Avernus, the dangerous and savage first layer of the Nine Hells.
🔥 Socialization
This campaign necessitates socialization between the party and several NPCs, each of which have their own motivations, goals and backgrounds.
As with all of my campaigns, your actions and words will have lasting consequences.
🔥 Dangers
It is possible for your characters to stumble into situations that are "out of their paygrade"
As your characters will be starting out with at level 1, please note that powerful NPCs will react accordingly to unreasonable antagonization.
To ensure a realistic world, I try to minimize editing of any encounters on the fly. If you push yourselves too far, death, curses or otherwise lingering injuries can be a real consequence, unless otherwise discussed during session 0.
🔥 Morality
A consistent theme of this adventure is redemption, good vs. evil (or the inability to neatly quantify people and actions into those labels) and grey morality.
Naturally, with so many angels and devils flying about, religious trauma and disillusionment is a theme that’ll also be touched on.
🔥 Survival
Even on its best behavior, the Nine Hells is a hostile environment. Players may be hunted and pressed for resources needed to survive.
Spells and features, especially ones that provide such resources, may work differently in the Hells.
「 The Campaign 」
Here’s a checklist to make sure that this is the campaign for you:
☑️ RP-Heavy — Our campaigns tend to run fairly long and much slower than the average campaign lengths for official modules, with frequent emotional or deep inter-character roleplay.
☑️ Story-Heavy — I aim to weave player narrative with the campaign’s — whether  through backstory, or personal goals. This works best when everyone cares enough to remember each other’s characters and stories, as well as the campaign’s.
☑️ Content Warnings — The following themes may potentially show up during the adventure: cult activity and rituals, devil / demon worship, mention of or remnants of torture (never explicit), xenophobia, racial tensions, religion, religious trauma and religious disillusionment, child and animal endangerment.
☑️ Socialization — Player interactions with them (and choosing to ally with one or another) will determine whether they end up helpful resources for the party — or bitter enemies.
☑️ Heavier Themes — In this adventure, the stakes are high, devastating truths will be uncovered and your character's (and your own) notions of good and evil will hopefully be challenged.
「 Expectations 」
You can expect the following from me:
👑 Rulings — We will be playing with largely RAW rules, with a healthy helping of Jeremy Crawford’s twitter feed to clear up misconceptions. I tend to try to focus more on telling a cohesive and entertaining story, and therefore I might mess up a rule or two sometimes… please feel free to correct me!
👑 Worldbuilding — I believe that in D&D, the world should react to the players — otherwise it’s just a very laggy co-op video game. All of your decisions, actions and words will matter in shaping the world around you.
👑 Voices / Roleplay — I can do like, one voice, and it’s “terrified goblin”. Please adjust your expectations accordingly. However, I will vary NPC vernacular, diction and tone to reflect their individuality.
👑 Immersion — However, what I lack in voice acting, I try to make up in production value with hefty effort into design (which I hope shows!), custom battle-maps, fitting background music, and occasional mediocre animatics
.👑 Art — If you’d like, we can provide you with a custom chibi token and character portrait.
I hope to expect the following from you:
🦋 Punctuality — Please make sure to give prior notice before missing a session, if possible.
🦋 Meta-Gaming — This one’s more for your sake — the adventure will be a lot less fun if you’re looking up monster stat blocks and storyline to get ahead of everyone else, I promise.
🦋 PvP — One-sided PvP is almost always disallowed unless discussed beforehand. This means fighting and stealing from the group, but also involves actions that might harm the group, such as attacking the guards of a powerful city, griefing during a stealth mission, etc.
🦋 Readiness — it’s OK if you’re new, not too familiar with the rules / your PC’s features, but we ask that you put an effort into learning!
🦋 Attentiveness — As mentioned above, we hope that you care enough about the story and other PCs to pay attention to their storylines, even if it doesn’t explicitly involve you. On that note, please include the word “sushi” in the final question of the application. :>
🦋 Respect — Racism, sexism, homophobia and otherwise bigotry will not be tolerated for a moment at the table. While the only politics we'll be talking about is, hopefully, about Baldur's Gate's four dukes, I'm a WoC and part of the LGBTQ+ community -- you won't have much fun in this game if you're a bigot, trust me.
🦋 Ettiquette — Share the  spotlight, and respect each other’s boundaries, lines and veils, social agreements. Our current lines are sexual assault/violence, and veils are explicit sexual content or explicit live torture.
🦋 Characterization — We generally put in a lot of effort to flesh out our characters’ motivations, goals and pasts, and are hoping to find similarly passionate people who care about their characters. This also means your character should have a reason to engage with the story and party, fits the theme of the adventure, and avoids “lone-wolf”-ing, or murder-hoboing.
🦋 Power-Gaming — In a similar vein as above, we've generally not had the best experiences with power-gamers. Though min-maxing / munchkin-ing is a completely valid way to play the game in the right group, it generally creates a power gap between this group of players, most of whom find enjoyment in making non-optimized builds (MAD multiclassing, for instance), for flavor or to fit the story.
🦋 Mic / Discord — Though you don’t need to have professional quality hardware, you do need to be audible during our voice calls.
「 Technicalities 」
🔖 VTT — We run the campaign on FoundryVTT, no prior experience needed as it’s pretty user friendly.
🔖 Group Age — Our group ranges from 24-30.
🔖 Sources — Classes, races, backgrounds and features from official Forgotten Realms content only (other settings can be discussed). No flying, please!
🔖 Stats — We can roll for stats at Session 0 — we use a 69-75 total for rolls — or you can choose to use Point Buy / Standard Array.
🔖 Backstory — If you don’t have a concept quite yet, I will help you work out your character details, backstory, and integrate it into the story to your ideal extent.
🔖 Schedule — Sessions will take place every other Saturday at 4PM CST. Sessions will be 4-6 hours, though flexible.

Imma be annoying with questions and whatnots while rereading LLB:
Anyway, in chapter seven Ada says:
"Our mother had to have bacon cakes and chocolate one right after the other. She said that's how she knew there were two of you. And that you each had different tastes, personalities of your own, you and Finn, even in the womb."
Ada remembered the birth of the twins like it was yesterday though it had been eleven years earlier. It had been the day that she was no longer the baby of the family and the day that she gained an intrinsic ally in the form of a sister.""
Could you expand on that idea. Like is Clara the bacon personality or the chocolate personality? What the difference between the two, like how a bacon personality act? Are chocolate personalities softer than bacon personalities? Why that dichotomy?
Also on or two chapters before John and Clara agreed to prank Tommy, do they get to do that, if so how? How did Tommy react? Did he overhear then say they would do it?

Though the potentially disappointing truth about the chocolate/ bacon personality line is that I honestly didn’t put very much thought into that line and just picked two things that were different things people commonly crave (salty and sweet). I actually distinctly remember thinking “I don’t want to really think through what type of food craving would represent Finn vs Clara or even which one they are in this situation. I just want to post this chapter and move on.” If it was an actual book I was publishing and not fanfic, that probably would have been changed during the editing process. 😂
All that said, I think it could go either way and there’s probably more to symbolism there if we wanted to look into it, but again, I didn’t put very much thought into it when I wrote it.
Anyway here are some potential chocolate vs. bacon things (that don’t necessarily sort out which of the twins is which):
sweet (or bitter w/out additions) vs salty/ savory
complex (add ins for most chocolate) vs simple/ single ingredient
frivolous treat vs sustenance/ part of a meal
melts with heat vs crisps/ hardens with heat
harvested (plant) vs butchered (meat/animal)
As for the prank, I don’t think they did actually get a chance to do it. Tommy and Clara are so tense in S1 and I don’t imagine they’d actually chance it. Polly, Arthur, Finn, or any of the blinders might be fair game though for getting pranked. And the two of them have pranked Tommy before (do I feel a one shot coming on??😅).

I got a couple people asking me how I worldbuild, so here we are, Anne laying out all her secrets to the wonderful world of worldbuilding.
Imagine a world slightly different from ours - what would it be like? This is pretty much the question writers try to answer when doing worldbuilding. On a lot of stuff I encounter, worldbuilding can end up looking like pretty props on a setting, rather than becoming the actual setting. And sometimes, worldbuilding can alienate and belittle me as a reader, rather than invite me to learn more.
So how do I worldbuild? How do I tackle this question? I do worldbuilding by considering four things.

The first of which is a concept that makes up the backbone of technology: how do people solve problems? 
This question is supposed to cover a general society. I'm pretty sure that each of us at least once thought, "it would be better if..." A lot of people work, have worked, and will work towards that "it would be better if..." People are creative. What works works, and if someone else suggests something else, people try it, make opinions of it, and make a change if they think it works better. This applies for either positive change or negative change. People, good or bad or everything in between and beyond, want to live nice, comfortable lives - don’t you?
So whenever you introduce a new element or aspect, it's not all about the cool stuff and its advantages. There are disadvantages and challenges that come along with every change, and it's the pull between the two that makes things fun to read.
For example, magic is undoubtedly helpful, flexible, and ubiquitous, but like technology in the real world, it's not a one-size-fits-all solution. Heroes still run around the realm trying to save the world from antagonists who use magic to harm others. Characters still have to learn to control their own magic. There are aspects of magic considered acceptable or forbidden. 
Here's some guide questions to help you with this part of worldbuilding.
What problem does this thing or practice aim to address?
What other things, practices, and aspects of society did it affect?
What new problems and challenges arose from it?
How do in-world people perceive it?
How do in-world people benefit from it?
How do in-world people deal with these new problems and challenges?
This should cover the practical side of worldbuilding. How about the fun side? How do you identify what kind of fun stuff to place in your story?

For this, the question I try to answer is: what kind of weird stuff can people do, encounter, or experience?
It’s putting the bizarre in the “bizarre adventures”. Life is just that absurd; it has a way of putting unbelievable things in front of you. It can go so many ways, both in terms of what is there and how people react to it: funny, endearing, disappointing, dreadful, harmful, and whatnot. Like people say, life is stranger than fiction, and you must allow such crazy unbelievable-but-true occurrences be part of a story to give more life to it.

And in integrating these things, I look a little bit into science and sociology: how do people react to stimuli?
People are sensitive; people have a range of emotions and corresponding actions. While people can be numb or ignorant, that in itself is a valid reaction. We have various senses that help us assess other people, objects, places, and situations, and we use those senses to make decisions and choose whether to care or not to care. Other aspects such as culture, sociopolitical climate, and personal experiences may affect this decision-making process as well.
So when you introduce mechanics just for the fun of, remember that it still has some impact on the characters. For example, you have dragons in your fictional world, but the characters still feel wonder looking at them, because reading about them is different from seeing them in flesh - just like how city people still react so strongly to seeing farm animals in person despite knowing and acknowledging that they exist. Maybe you even have dragons of different sizes; maybe tinier dragons make characters feel the desire to hug them and protect them because they're just so cute - even if they bite and scratch like house cats. And amid a grueling journey across a thousand miles, dragons make things a little more hopeful. 
Here's some guide questions to help you with this part of worldbuilding.
What bizarre things or events do people in the real world encounter?
How would the fictional aspects and limitations translate these bizarre things or events?
What kind of impact do these translated bizarre things or events have on the world?
How would in-world people react upon perceiving these translated bizarre things or events?
What affects the in-world people’s perception of these translated bizarre things or events?

We still have to cover one last concern: nuance. Nuance gives conflict and diversity. And for that, the question I ask is myself: how do other people of different personalities and backgrounds react to this? 
People are complex. We are each influenced by a plethora of things. We have strengths and flaws. In us are positive and negative thoughts, desires, and behaviors; we are the best at our best and the worst at our worst. 
We are not always extremes, however, but rather we exist on a spectrum of ranges. You can use extremes as starting points, but add little points in between. There's hot and cold, but also cool, lukewarm, and comfy warm. That is to say, when you insert new ideas and concepts, it is more interesting and realistic to have characters use different methods to deal with it - to be smart and pragmatic at times, to be a little irrational and weird at times, to be stupid and trapped and confused at times. This gives your fictional world more life. 
For example: Magic is undoubtedly very powerful. Some use it to better society. Some use it to harm others. Some embrace it; some fear it. Some think it's not really necessary to live a fulfilling life; some rely on it to feel worthy of themselves and be worthy in society. 
I would, however, advise a bit of caution and care for this part. Fiction, while being make-believe, can still remind readers of certain ideas or experiences. While you cannot always take responsibility for what readers might feel about your work, you still have a responsibility to be as respectful as you can. 
Here's some guide questions to help you with this part of worldbuilding.
What are the extremes that the characters feel towards a thing or practice?
What are the in-between beliefs, opinions, and/or behaviors of these extremes?
What/who influences the characters to feel this way?
How do these beliefs, opinions, and/or behaviors affect the characters' daily lives?
Does it resemble something in real life, and can I do something to be more respectful in my writing?

Aside from all these questions, I do have a few more tips:
Define your scope and limits. Fiction allows you to be inventive, but you should neither overwhelm the readers nor waste the potential of your story in trying to put as much cool stuff as you can into your writing. To solve this, you must pick out a few must-haves and absolutely-nots.
Remember the principle of cause and effect. For every new thing, there is a reaction. If it's there, somebody within the story must've noticed it. If it's there, it could help, harm, or inconvenience somebody within the story. 
Consume a wide variety of media. Find obscure works and series, and be critical towards various themes, tones, and depictions. Look up nonfiction such as commentaries and documentaries, and be open-minded towards different kinds of truths and observations. 
Connected to above, read up notes from researchers, professionals, and everyday people. People out there study real world stuff; they probably have a few useful insights that can help you build your fictional world. Do take caution though, and avoid misinformation by double/cross-checking your notes.
Embrace the weird. I’m running out of words here, but it is really that simple. Explore weird ideas; they’re probably just gems in the rough.

I merely included these questions to help yourself ponder about your world. However, you do not have to answer everything to make good lore for your story. You merely need to know how to balance all the concepts you put into your story.
Worldbuilding should be functional enough to affect certain parts of the plot, but worldbuilding should also appeal to aesthetics that go with the vibes and themes of the story. Finding unique systems to write about is a skill you can develop to spice up your fictional world, but none of that matters if it can’t service your story and your readers enough.
TL;DR: When worldbuilding, remember the following:
People are creative; they solve problems.
Life is absurd; people do, see, and experience weird stuff.
People are sensitive; they respond to things that happen around them.
People are complex; they have varied beliefs, opinions, and reactions.
Balance your ideas.

name — Phoenix; Nix is even good if you want to keep from using a mouthfull of a name :D
pronouns — They/Them/He/Him/She/Her. I prefer any of these, but am cool with they/them used mainly for convenience.
preferred comms — Just prefer discord as my main communication. Tumblr IMs are used to either add someone or if they don't have a discord at all.
name of muse — The Emperor, or in some other cases The Lamb. (They do have a mortal name, but they don't remember it so dw about it.)
experience in RP — As far as memory serves, I have 10 years of RP experience under my belt. First started on Fa.cebook with an OC I've long forgotten due to it being a self insert, but eventually settled into tumblr when I discovered the website because of meme reposts. I did not know an RPC existed on here until two years in that the community was super active at that time. Went from FN.AF muses, Stev.en Uni.verse briefly, did Por.tal 2 muses for a few months, then got stuck with MS.A muses and CO.TL canon and OC muses to make up my whole history on here. I know my way to adapt to villain and hero personalities, and have years of character study with different personalities to know my way of getting the right nudge of perfecting a character personality.
Would that be enough to say I have a passion for a my craft? That's up for you to debate lmao.
best experiences — I vaguely remember getting my entire dashboard to go into a cursing (saying fuck) frenzy for a few hours when I was posting crack commentary with a few people I don't write with anymore. The RPC for MS.A was still pretty big and active back then in 2018, so when I followed a ton of those blogs, everyone kinda knew everyone; and thats where it started. I think it even went to non MS.A blogs too, but I won't too sure since I wasn't paying attention at that point.
pet peeves/dealbreakers — In general breaking boundaries one will set for their own well being. Yet another thing that turns me way off is not being matched with the same amount of enthusiasm I may have with interacting with someone. I do try my best to interact as much as possible, but it does put a damper on ones mood when the person at the end of me reaching out doesn't really reciprocate my interested energies. Yeah, irl stuff often comes first and whatnot, but if we haven't interacted during the first few months of following each other? I'll just unfollow and softblock, just to save myself my wasted time.
Sometimes people don't click and that's okay. It still sucks, but ya gotta move on with life though.
muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ) — i don't really have a preference, as I'm normally fine with whatever my rp buds may want to throw at me. Smut I may be semi-selective with, but its not off the table if I know you and your muse enough if that's something you're interested in. I'm still outta practice when it comes to that one, but in general I like to put my muses in situations and just let them react to it. Sometimes you can get the best threads (as long you guys got the base idea plotted out) with spontaneous works.
plot or memes — Got a preference for memes as icebreakers, but plotting does get that foot in the door as well. I like the icebreakers just to let people or myself put themselves out there because it gives people a chance to interact without the pressure of having to write someone out in major detail. But I do also prefer plotting with a loose guideline when me and my RP partner can be confident enough around each other with what we both may want out of an rp thread.
long or short replies — depends on my mood and how much energy/time i have to spare! typically though, i write longer replies; i like to give lots of detail and really set the mood with my posts. it doesn't super matter to me how much my partner writes tho, i kinda just do my own thing regardless...but shorter stuff has its perks, too. so i guess i can go either way!
best time to write —Whatever my muses is feeling tbh. I do not control how my muse energy works, but I do know I am the type of putting all my moves into one big attack and then having to rest for the rest of a gaming match sorta deal. Replies take a lot out of me and I have only a limited amount of spoons when it comes to it. I let my muse guide me and help keep them track on the way so it doesn't derail the entire thread.
are you like your muse?: I mean,,,,, They ARE a self insert I created for my own enjoyment and control fantasy, but I will say I do strictly follow the mun=/=muse rules; while my muse may be a murder and cannibalistic with a colony of followers who would die for them, I do not reflect my character. Anything that happens in fiction stays in fiction. I like my character because they help with the confidence boost, but I still keep them at a distance when it comes to "am I like my muse?" questions. I love them to pieces though as any OC creator is with their baby. Just gotta remember that if I ever met them irl I would run for the hills lmao.
