Can we just take a moment to appreciate Félix's line "What a joyous day, but anyway" in We Don't Talk About Bruno?
He and Pepa are talking about how Bruno "made" it rain on their wedding day and that there was a literal HURRICANE as they were getting married, and Félix is just like, "yeah the weather sucked but you know what DIDN'T suck? GETTING TO MARRY PEPA. I LOVE MY WIFE SO MUCH. Anyways, your tío is weird and we don't talk about him"
Absolute king behaviour, I love it
The Cafe Part One: Imagine having a strained relationship with Camilo due to the fact everyone assumes to two of you will one day end up together. You both hate this and decide to be enemies forever but that doesn’t stop you being attracted to one another.
As one of the strongest and oldest families yet to marry into the Madrigal bloodline you knew all eyes were on your family or more accurately you and you hated it. You were the only child in your family and of course you were born just 6 months before the eldest Madrigal boy, Camilo. Everyone pretty much decided then and there that two of you would be a couple and your future was laid out for you. You didn’t agree and that wouldn’t be your future if you had anything to do with it but that’s getting ahead of the story.
You and Camilo actually used to be friends when you were younger. There weren't many kids in town so as he was the same age as you, you played together often. You used to go to his house and eat the wonderful food his aunt could make. You loved his home and how big his family was, being an only child you dreamt of a family as huge as this and you truly felt welcome at Camilo's home...then his Abuela made a comment that ruined it all.
You and Camilo were barely seven, he was still mastering his gift but one of his favourite things to do was to transform into you. This always annoyed you because Camilo would mimic you and that meant war for a seven-year-old. So you’d end up fighting and one day Camilo’s Abuela walked in to find you punching Camilo (who looked like you) while he tried to get away. She quickly separated the two of you before telling you good children didn’t fight like that. You and Camilo glared at one another before the offer of a cookie made you both thaw. You followed Abuela to the kitchen and were happily eating courtesy of Julieta when Grandma Abuela smiled watching you two. “It’s so nice to see the two of them and know I don’t have to worry about Camilo’s future partner”. “Future partner, mama they're just children!" Camilo’s mother Pepa commented but Camilo’s Abuela shrugged "so? Some things are very easy to see and these two are pre-destined to be together. Mark my words Camilo will be proposing before he’s 20". You’d finished your cookie and were staring at the adults confused. Had Bruno had another vision? What did they mean about you and Camilo being partners? "Come on y/n!" Camilo cried pulling your arm and he tugged you out of the kitchen. He snapped you back into reality and you followed him in a daze. When you reached his room you frowned "Camilo what did your grandmother mean back then?". Camilo looked down "ow it’s nothing...just something she likes to talk about". "Tell me, I want to know" you insisted and he sighed "my grandmother likes you and your family so she hopes in the future we'll...you know". You paused "what?". "Get married like grown-ups do!" Camilo cried blushing but your response was quite different. You weren’t embarrassed you were a mixture of furious and confused. "What!" you cried "why?". "Because she likes you and our families get on" Camilo explained "she says it’ll be a good match and she’ll arrange it when we're older". "But that's so gross!" you cried and Camilo didn’t say anything. You noticed his silence and paused "Camilo? Why aren’t you angry?". "Because I...if I have to marry a girl why couldn’t it be you? We play together and you have good toys and can think of really fun games". "So you’d like it?' you asked scandalised and Camilo shrugged blushing lightly. "I don’t think I'd hate it" he admitted and you were not happy. You loved Camilo, he was your best friend but that didn’t mean you wanted to marry him, you’d heard rumours that involved kissing and that was definitely too disgusting for a seven-year-old. Not to mention you didn’t like how nobody had asked you. Your mother had told you that women didn’t use to have rights and how they were just given to men without their own preference even being considered. This reminded you of that and you hated it. Even if Camilo liked it you didn’t and you hated how everyone seemed to be in on this except you. So you had some pretty good reasons to be against this however you were just seven and lacked the maturity to express yourself effectively. In response to all this you pushed Camilo away from you and took your anger out on him. "I don’t have a crush on you! That’s gross" you cried. Camilo immediately got defensive and shoved you back “I never said I had a crush on you! I think you’re the grossest person ever”. You were pretty insulted so you leapt at Camilo fighting for real this time and he shapeshifted into a bigger kid pushing you over easily. You fell down hard and were upset physically and emotionally, not wanting him to see you cry you cried “I hate you and never want to see you again” before you ran home.
Even since then you’d stopped being friends and decided you hated one another. Camilo did miss you but he’d never forget the disgusted way you looked at him and that stopped him ever trying to approach you. You were definitely not eager to approach him either, still slightly traumatised over what you’d heard and so the distance between you grew and grew and turned uglier and uglier over the years until it reached the stage it was at currently.
You and Camilo couldn’t be in the same room without a fight breaking out. You went to school together so this happened often and you both made it your mission to ruin the other’s life. With your friends and even each other’s families you were kind, sweet people. Around one another however you became these toxic mean spirited people who just wanted to bring the other down and this continued well into your teen years.
Every summer the Madrigals would have a party celebrating the harvest and the end of school for the summer. Pretty much everyone would go but you always sat it out, not a fan of anything that brought you near Camilo. However this year your parents said that wasn’t an option. Now you’d turned 16 they said you had to start attending adult events and could skive off as a child would. So you dragged your feet grumbling about how unfair this was all the way to the Madrigal house. Or course Camilo was on the door greeting guests. You rolled your eyes, he was so extroverted, his need for attention and to be liked sickened you. As you got closer he spotted you quickly and his smile momentarily faltered before your parents stepped forwards. "Mrs and Mr L/n how wonderful to see you" he smiled at them both and your parent smiled back. No matter how many stories about him you’d told they still liked him and thought he was a good boy. No matter the problems between Camilo and yourself, neither of you could bring yourself to be mean to the other’s family. It was an unspoken rule. "Thanks for having us Camilo, look how big you've gotten! I remember when you used to look tiny on our sofa and now you're taller than me! You're almost a man" your mother cried. You snorted and everyone looked at you. "Sure if were using the term very loosely" you muttered walking past him into the house. You heard your parents mutter something to Camilo before rushing after you "you do not disrespect someone who's opened their home to you" your father scolded you. "I didn’t even want to come to his home!" you cried "you made me come here, I never promised to be polite to Camilo". Your parents didn’t bother arguing with you, they knew Camilo was a topic you couldn’t be persuaded on.
You were passing the kitchen when you saw Pepa carrying numerous trays of food, or well she was trying too. They kept tilting and one was bound to fall, a cloud appeared over Pepa’s head telling you she was losing her patience. You saw one tray tip and rushed forwards. You caught it just in time and took a few of the others off Pepa making the cloud disappear immediately. "Aww thank you y/n you're so sweet" Camilo’s mom beamed, recognising you instantly. "You're all grown up now, you're such a beautiful young woman" Pepa complimented you. You blushed "ow I'm not too sure about that". "You are, I’m sure your parents are so proud of you" she smiled "it's such a shame you and Camilo don’t get on anymore...we miss you around here". You suddenly felt guilty and looked down "yeah it's a shame, I guess we just grew apart". Pepa shot you a look like she knew it was more than a small growing apart. As if summoned the devil himself appeared. "Mami Antonio...ow" Camilo said walking around the corner to find you and his mother together. "Camilo I was just chatting with y/n, she's all grown up just like you. I can’t believe you’re both finishing school this year, are you excited?". You nodded "yep I’m looking forward to University". "Ow where are you going?" Pepa asked and Camilo looked down "hopefully somewhere outside of Colombia altogether" and you glared at him. You told Pepa the school you were hoping to go to and Camilo’s stomach drooped. "Ow that’s where Camilo is thinking of going!" Pepa cried. "Yeah not so much anymore" he smiled sweetly and you smiled back "don’t worry based on your grades I’m sure they’ll make that decision for you". Pepa sighed looking at Camilo “y/n can you give me a moment with my son, I’ve got to have a talk with him” she said her expression grave. You nodded “of course I’ll go put these trays on the table, it was nice seeing you Mrs.Madrigal” and you disappeared pleased you’d gotten Camilo into trouble.
Once you’d put the trays down you started scoping out a good place to enjoy the party. The one thing you did love about Madrigal events was the music. The whole town would come together and everyone would play instruments and it was so much fun. You had been trying to pout and be angry but found yourself bobbing along to the music and enjoying the performances. One by one people sang and you were really enjoying the night...but your smile vanished when Camilo appeared. You tensed, knowing what was coming and sure enough Camilo opened his mouth and you were hooked. His singing was the most beautiful thing you#d ever heard. It made you so mad to admit but nobody could compete with Camilo in terms of signing. His voice was deep and could be rough but also so smooth and warm. You hated it but Camilo’s singing was really attractive and you felt the pull every time he performed. His voice washed over you and you felt that familiar attraction again. It wasn’t enough he was good looking, charming, a good dancer and had literal powers he had to have a godly voice too? You sighed annoyed at how much you were enjoying Camilo’s performance when your cousin waved to you. She begged you to dance with her and so you agreed. Camilo’s song had finished now so you’d surely be able to just enjoy yourself now.
Camilo was getting some water after singing when he spotted you. There were tons of people on the floor dancing but of course his eyes went straight to you as they always did. You spun around in your green dress and were the most beautiful dancer on the floor. The graceful but skilled way you glided around the floor made several people stop and stare but it was the look on your face that Camilo stated at. You didn’t smile often and especially not around him so seeing the pure joy in your face...the way it lit up your features made him pause. You just looked so happy it was beautiful. You didn’t have a care in the world and you looked perfect.
"Who are you looking at like that?' a voice asked and Camilo jumped as Isabela appeared. He tried to move away but she was already beside him and followed his gaze to you. "Ahhh your old bestie, any reason why you're checking her out?". "I was not!" Camilo cried and Isabela smirked "sure because you totally weren’t gaping at her. I can’t blame you, she's the hottest girl in your year by far...no wonder she didn’t want to marry you". "Shut up Isabela!" he cried and a bit too loudly as everyone nearby looked over. "Camilo why don’t you go check on the gardens!" his father called which was code for go outside and stop making a scene. Camilo rolled his eyes but did as he was told.
Mirabel has seen the whole thing and followed him. “You okay?" she asked catching up to him and Camilo nodded "I'm fine". "I heard what Isabela said and just ignore her. We all know that wasn’t the reason the two of you fell out, I mean come on you were like 7". "But we kinda did" Camilo groaned "she stopped being friends with me because the idea of what might happen in some distant future disgusted her so much. She doesn’t just dislike me she loathes me and I pretend it doesn’t bother me but I don’t know...it doesn’t feel great". Mirabel frowned "have you ever considered that this all happened a while ago?". Camilo paused "so?". "Well how do you know all that's true anymore? Seven-year-olds don’t communicate well and they tend to be emotional. Have you ever spoken to y/n to work out what was the reason?". "I know the reason Mirabel and it's me. The fact is she hates me” but he froze as you appeared outside ranting to your mother.
“I can’t even dance in peace” you cried and your mother shushed you pulling you away from the doors. You were downstairs and had no idea Mirabel and Camilo could see and hear you, they were hidden by the many many plants courtesy of Isabela. Camilo was about to step away when he heard his name. "Years! Years Camilo and I haven’t been friends and still people ask me if we’re getting married! Nobody asks Camilo that, just me. It’s so sexist it drives me crazy! How can people just not understand I don’t want to be a man's prize, my greatest ambition in life isn’t to be a wife. I've done so much to try and alter that perspective. I study hard so I can get into a good school, I work out to make myself strong, I even pick fights with Camilo every chance I get to make him hate me and still they suggest him as a husband for me! I hate it" you said bursting into tears and your mother hugged you.
Mirabel turned back to Camilo "still think there’s nothing more to it?" she whispered. Camilo stared watching you crumble. You were always so tough and harsh it was odd to see you so human...he’d almost forgotten you were just a normal person like him not a mortal enemy. His perspective suddenly shifted and he felt bad. He had no idea things had been so bad for you or that what his Abuela had insinuated was still affecting you
The next day
Camilo woke up late the next day after staying up so late the night before and he loved it. School was well and truly out and he sauntered downstairs feeling ready for his lazy summer. He hid from his family to avoid having to do any chores and only entered the kitchen when he was sure it was empty. He strode in before the door closed behind it, it was an ambush and his tia Julieta was waiting for him. "Camilo I know why you're here, you can horde food later but for now hold this". She placed several trays in his arms and he frowned "what is all this?". "I was hired to make some food for the cafe". "Y/n's?" he asked. Your family owned the most popular cafe in town and Camilo’s tia had worked there when she was younger. Tia Julieta nodded "yes for y/n’s cafe and you're going to help me take them there". "What! No i’m not" he cried and Julieta shot him a look. "I know you think the world will end If you and y/n are forced to see one another but it won’t. You'll be just fine so let's go". "Tia Julieta" Camilo complained and she shot him a look "do you want me to tell your mother you won't walk 10 minutes to help me because I know just how scary she can be". "No, no don't tell my mother!" he cried remembering the telling off he got less than 24 hours ago from his mother. He did not want that experience so soon again so Camilo agreed "I'll go but not as me". Julieta went to ask what he meant when Camilo transformed into Luisa. "Okay let's go" he said as if this was a normal thing to do. Julieta shook her head "is that really necessary?". "Trust me this will make everything a lot smoother" he replied and the two set off into town. Even as Luisa Camilo felt nervous and with every step he got closer and closer to you until finally...they arrived.
For cafe shenanigans get ready for part 2! I’m thinking this will be a 3 part series but i’ll see how it goes. I never intended to make this a series but I have a habit of writing a lot and it’s way too much for one person to be expected to read in one installment.
So hopefully you’ll come along for the 3 part Camilo series! I really liked writing this side of Camilo because we’ve seen he can be really sweet but also a bit sarcastic and blunt so the man has range!!
Alright, but I'm all here for all the Triplets eyes having glowing abilities. The grandkids only know about Bruno as his glow whenever he is having a vision.
Pepa's glow when she is making very extreme weather and mostly because of pure anger.
Julieta's probably either glow when she is cooking a lot or healing heavy injuries and sicknesses. (I kinda believe she has to concentrate on what she wants to heal when giving the food).
It's also some kind of trance for them, Bruno's stops when the vision is over, Julieta's when she is done with what she needed to do and Pepa when she either calms down or becomes tired.
A little play on villain!pepa I guess.
I always figured it has to be crazy scary to make that woman mad lmao

Chapter 5: At the river
Dolores' ears switch as she hears something coming from the upper floors.
"That doesn't sound good," she murmurs.
"What doesn't sound good?" Antonio asks her.
Dolores blinks at him. For a moment she forgot that her brothers were also sitting at the table. She hesitates to answer, not wanting to get involved in matters that may be none of her business.
Antonio puts his hand on hers and looks at her with wide eyes.
"It's Tio Bruno. I think he had a vision about Y/N."
The two boys are not surprised to hear your name. They noticed that the two of you grew closer in the past weeks. Yet they don’t know any details.
Dolores actually has a lot to say and is usually not the most secretive person. For the sake of her uncle, however, she holds back.
The other day she had heard her parents talking about Bruno and Pepa was not thrilled about his interest in you. Or maybe it’s because despite his promise to her, Bruno has yet to talk to their mother.
Dolores is actually pretty sure that almost everyone in the family suspects something. But they've come to a general agreement not to talk about it. It's a behavior they're familiar with when dealing with the youngest of the Madrigal triplets.
"Is it something bad?" Camilo asks his sister, wanting to know more about the vision.
Dolores tilts her head and clicks her tongue.
"He's pretty upset."
"Let's go help him," Antonio decides and jumps off his chair. Before Dolores can voice any objections, the youngest lets out a whistle and jumps on Parce, his jaguar, who comes running through the door.
Camilo hurries after him.
Dolores looks after the two with a sigh. She briefly considers her options, but since she'll probably be listening in anyway, she decides she might as well follow them.
The sandy landscape of Bruno's tower is familiar to her.
She remembers the huge mountain with countless steps. But since Casita's rebuilding, there are only a dozen or so steps and even the sand cave at the top has a new shape, looking almost temple-like.
There in the front area Bruno has his place where he usually performs his visions for the people. A circle of salt has been drawn, with some burned down candles in it.
Bruno is pacing back and forth, clearly upset.
Camilo and Antonio have already arrived at his side.
"...I promised her...but I can't. I can't do this to her," the oldest of the Madrigal mumbles.
He pays no attention to the children until Parce moves right in front of him and then only enough to round them and keep walking.
"What can't you do to her?" Antonio asks.
"It's about Y/N, isn't it?" Camilo adds at the same time.
"I'm going to disappoint her bitterly ." Nervous, Bruno runs his fingers through his hair. "Today at the river festival where we were supposed to meet."
"What exactly did you see in the vision?"
"Abuela asked me about the weather for the festival. Because of the dark clouds behind the mountains," he explains as he continues to walk a trail in the sand. "The weather will be totally fine. But then I saw me and Y/N in the vision. She was horrified. I'll do or say something that will make her cry. And she'll run away."
He stops and buries his face in his hands.
"This is a disaster."
Camilo pats him sympathetically on the back.
"Maybe it's something else. Maybe she sees a snake and gets scared," he tries to cheer him up.
"No, it was clearly me."
"You should talk to her," Dolores advises quietly.
Bruno shakes his head.
"No, that could be the trigger." He reaches for the salt on the floor and throws it over his shoulder to mitigate the misfortune. "Wood. I need to knock on wood."
Worried, the children watch him getting back into his old habits.
In the beginning after his return, he had done this often. But after Casita was rebuilt and there seemed to be no troubles, he gradually dropped the superstition.
Bruno taps various surfaces, but there is no wood in his room, which only makes him more nervous.
"I'll stay here," he decides. "We're not going to the party. She'll be disappointed, but that's better than her hating me."
The siblings exchange a look, unsure of what to do.
"Should we tell Mamá or Tia Julieta?" Antonio asks Dolores, since she is the oldest of the three children.
"I don't think they can change his mind," she says. "Maybe we shouldn't get involved. You can't change his predictions."
"He should at least tell Y/N that he’s canceling the date," Camilo interjects. "Otherwise, I'm not surprised if she's mad at him."
They cast a glance at their uncle, who now lays backwards in the sand. He's staring at the sky and doesn't look like he's planning to go anywhere.
"I guess that's not going to be easy," Dolores mutters.
It's late afternoon and you're walking along a small path towards the forest. Some of the villagers are also on their way to the river festival.
It is celebrated once a year by the village on the day when, many decades ago, the miracle happened and the candle appeared that saved the fugitives from their pursuers. It is the day of the foundation of Encanto.
When you arrive at the crossroads where you agreed to meet, Bruno is not yet to be seen. You smooth your dress and wait.
It's unusual for him to be late.
You look around, nod to some people who are going the same way, but there is no Madrigal among them.
Maybe someone wanted a last-minute vision from him. He told you that sometimes people ask him at the strangest times.
At least the villagers seem to be slowly regaining confidence in his gift. More and more often there are also positive messages that he delivers. He said that it’s because he himself no longer lets it get him down so quickly, but he tries to pay attention to the good things in life.
To you, he added with a smile.
It made you smile and you rewarded him with a kiss.
As you let your eyes wander, you finally spot Bruno. He's taking a shortcut across a field between Casita and the forest.
"There you are at last," you tease him with a fake stern look.
He makes an apologetic gesture.
"I'm sorry. I got held up. Listen, about the festival...", Bruno says and you beam at him.
"I've been looking forward to it all week. We could dance together again later."
"I don't know-"
"And I really want to light a paper lantern tonight."
It is a tradition to set out waxed paper lanterns with small candles on the river on festival night when darkness has fallen. It is said to bring good luck for the new year and make a wish come true.
Bruno tilts his head, but then nods. He just can’t say no to you.
"Si, if you want."
Satisfied, you link your arm with him and together you make your way to the river.
"Have you grown?" you ask him, a little puzzled, as it suddenly seems to you that his Bruno is a bit taller than you.
"What? No, don’t be silly," he replies a little sheepishly, taking his arm from you to straighten his ruana.
This distracts you for a moment, and when you look up at him again, you realize that your mind must have been playing tricks on you.
Maybe it's because of your new sandals.
The fest is in full swing.
Small fires are lit on which food is being grilled. You have delivered fruit and fruits in the morning, which are now giving out. Children are running around laughing and playing with each other, while the adults stand together in groups talking and laughing.
Bruno and you each get a cut coconut. The water is freshening.
"So, any news about Ricardo and Julia?" you ask, pulling Bruno out of the thoughts he's seems to be in.
"Huh? Ricardo and Julia? I'll tell you later."
You look at him somewhat puzzled.
Usually he always has a new idea or surprising twist ready. In fact, you're surprised that he hasn't brought up the novela himself yet today.
"Is everything all right?" you ask.
"Si, carino. I had a little trouble with a vision earlier. But nothing for you to worry about," he assures you.
You blush a little at his new nickname for you, but frown at his reply.
"Did someone get upset about their prediction?" you huff.
"You could say that," Bruno mutters. At your expression, though, he quickly waves it off. "But we're here to enjoy the evening, after all."
Well, he's got a point.
You mingle with the townsfolk, listening to the music, enjoying the atmosphere.
Unfortunately Bruno isn’t very talkative today. Apparently, this vision is affecting him more than he admits to you. But you don't want to bring up the subject again, instead you try to distract him with other things.
Maybe it's the many people or the fact that you're here together. You notice that he keeps looking around nervously, anxious to maintain some distance between you.
It’s unnecessary, considering you're both adults. You answer with small gestures. When you want to draw his attention to something, you nudge him with your shoulder and when you laugh, you put your hand on his arm.
He acknowledges it with a wry smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes.
But he makes sure you have a good time.
"Are you having fun?" he asks you as you walk along the riverbank.
"I always have fun with you. No matter what we do."
You smile at him.
"But I hope you have extra fun at the festival."
That makes him laugh.
"Si." Bruno's gaze wanders to the side. "I'll get us something to eat. Don't run away."
He disappears among the people for a moment, and you turn toward the water.
Dusk is falling and the sun has already hidden behind the treetops. Soon the moon would rise and then the lanterns would be lit.
You already know exactly what you want for the new year.
A bag of the yellow fruit appears in your field of vision and you look down at Antonio, who has pulled up beside you on his Jaguar.
Smiling, you decline.
"Gracias, but your tio is already grabbing food for us."
"Ah, si, Tio Bruno." The boy shoves a piece of mango into his mouth. "How long are you two going to stay at the river?"
"Well, we have to light a candle," you reply, looking around for Bruno.
You spot him coming at you from another direction. He makes his way through the people. In his hands he balances two skewers from the grill.
When he sees Antonio and you together, he waves to you. In doing so, he doesn’t see the two children who run too close to him and accidentally bump into him.
The collision causes Bruno to lose his balance and fall into the river. Fortunately, it is not very deep at this point.
You stare at him with wide eyes, because it's not Bruno climbing out of the water.
Startled, he raises his head, not having noticed that he has changed back after the fall. You reach out a hand to help him up the bank.
"What are you doing? Where's Bruno?" you ask him, looking around to see if he’s anywhere nearby. He probably hasn't even noticed that his nephew has been pretending to be him.
But you can't spot him anywhere.
You look back at the boy, who looks a little embarrassed and doesn't quite know how to explain himself. Next to him is Antonio, who looks equally uneasy.
Suddenly, it dawns on you and your heart falls like a stone.
"You've been Bruno all day?"
It explains his unusual behavior. That you thought he had grown. The absence of rats.
Oh, you've been so stupid.
A small nod from Camillo confirms your suspicions. You put your hands on your hips.
"Es una broma? Por qué ha hecho eso? Por qué está de acuerdo con eso?"
Your voice grows louder and louder as anger rises inside you. The surrounding people give you looks, but you don't care.
"It's not...", Camillo continues, but you’re not listening to him.
"You know what? I don't care," you interrupt him. "This is the worst! How could you?"
With that, you turn and walk away.
Tears run down your cheeks and you're trying to hide your face under your hair.
Camillo looks after you with a sigh and wrings the water out of his poncho. Then he exchanges a glance with Antonio.
This has now gone thoroughly wrong and the two decide to go home and confess to their tio what they had done.

hey hey hey
i was thinking of doing a taglist... so if anyone wants to be added to my: encanto and/or miss peregrine’s home for peculiar children taglist, drop me an ask and i’ll add you!
i only write for canonically female characters
also, if you want to drop a request for either of these fandoms, or even another fandom, feel free to send one!
Ok, but can we talk about how so many of the gifts are trauma/psychology based in Encanto? Like the triplets- their gifts are so about controlling and fixing things. Knowing the future, controlling the weather, and healing. These things scream trauma- whether that was the trauma of having to flee their home at such a young age or the trauma of their mother taking her own PTSD out on them. (We love Abuela, but we also know she’s toxic and so many of the issues in this family stem from her.)
Then the kids. With the eldest ones it’s easier to see- we have Luisa who has to be strong. She’s been raised to be of use, and when it came time for her to get her gift casita went oh no, she needs to feel useful, let’s give her something that’ll help with that. Isabella, always expected to be perfect, and so she got the most graceful gift. Dolores and her sensitive hearing. She probably spent her childhood listening around corners to know what was going on, what mood is everyone in, what are they saying about me or my family and how do I protect them from it?
Camillo, a middle child. Chaotic but loving, probably always feeling like he was the wrong person for the job. So he got the ability to make himself just the right person. Antonio, so lonely his whole life, afraid of failing the family in the same way Mirabel supposedly did (and I will fight anyone who harshes on her), gets the ability to talk to the animals he already spends all his time with. Because they are his home, where he can finally feel accepted.
And Mirabel. Technically she doesn’t have a gift, yes. But it can’t just be me who noticed that Mirabel seems incredibly linked to casita. The cracks appear when she’s upset, the doors flicker as doubt creeps into her mind. It’s almost as if the house is feeding off her energy explicitly. Or as though, instead of giving Mirabel an isolated gift, the house chose to give Mirabel itself. What else do you give the child who is so enamored with you, so bonded with you at such a young age. And when the house was reborn, who was able to wake it up? Mirabel.
I don’t know. Just my two cents. But it feels like every gift given by the house was a reaction to their psyche and trauma, and there’s just so so much to read there.

Aged Up! Camillo Madrigal
With permission from Camillo's parents, the two lovers rushed up to his room. As soon as they got there, they jumped onto his bed and started cuddling. Camillo's girlfriend, Y/n L/n, spoke up saying that she was cold. Camillo then smirked "I know a way to get us warm." He trailed his fingers on her skin suggestively. She then kissed him. Camillo then adjusted his position so he was on top of her. They then continued kissing until it turned into a full-blown-out make-out session. Camillo slowly took off her top as she took off his poncho and his shirt. Y/n stared at him with lust and blush on her face. They then continued kissing until both were fully naked. Camillo slowly rubbed his fingers on her clit. She started moaning. "C-camillo, I want you inside me now. P-please...A-ahh..". Camillo smirked, removed his fingers and pounded himself into her. Both of them were a moaning mess. They did forget one thing...Camillo's older sister, Dolores, heard them.
*2 weeks later*
Y/n has been feeling sick for a about 2 weeks. Pepa was so and is still worried about her future daughter -in- law. Dolores on the other hand, knew the exact reason, she can hear the heartbeat...and she heard something that traumatized her for life. This wouldn't be kept a secret for long though. Dolores had a plan. During dinner time, everybody ate quietly. As soon as dinner ended, Dolores said "I have something to say." Everybody then looked at her and Abuela asked what it was. Dolores then said "Someone among us is pregnant." Everyone was shocked. Felix then asked "Dolores, are you?" Dolores said no and said "Y/n is pregnant with Camillo's child." As soon as those words came out of her mouth, Pepa fainted. So did Felix. The others congratulated them. Once Pepa, was fully conscious.. she admitted that she was disappointed but happy at the same time.
pepa in denial of missing bruno : ✨🎵we don’t talk about Bruno no no no🎵✨
also pepa when he finally returns :
Imagine being Dolores’ best friend, a trans man, and after you come out her realising Bruno’s prophecy could’ve been about you all along.
Dolores had just assumed her prophecy was about Marino because he was:
Betrothed to someone else
Although she always felt a connection with you she thought her prophecy was pretty straightforward so she never considered it could be about you.
She was not correct.
When you came out as a trans man to her and told her you used he/him pronouns there was a small voice in the back of her mind that thought about the prophecy but you weren’t promised to another so how could that work? No it surely had to be Marino and so she dated him and was happy...at first. She thought she’d like how loud he was in that endearingly annoying way but after a while she just found it too much. He talked constantly and she spent her time with him doing what she always did, just listening and being quiet. With you she was the loudest person in the room and the dynamic was totally different. She felt free to express herself in a way she’d never experienced with anyone else, not even her family, because you listened to her! You didn’t just want to hear what she’d overheard or use her powers for your own convenience, you wanted to know how she felt or what she was thinking and nobody had ever asked her that before.
So Dolores was struggling with the feeling she was falling for the wrong person when everything fell into place the day you got a request from your grandfather. He was old and wouldn’t likely be around for much longer but he had one wish before he died. He and his best friend had always dreamed of their bloodlines coming together through marriage and you just happened to be the same age as his friend’s grandson. Dolores didn’t like this news and was surprised how anxious it made her imagining you with someone else. She was on edge waiting for you to tell her what you’d said in response she finally just blurted “so what did you tell him?” unable to contain herself. “I told him no of course!” you cried “I’m attracted to women and while I appreciate him being cool with the idea of me marrying a man I’m simply not attracted to men. I’m not going to marry someone just because he wants it. Family isn’t about who you’re legally tied to, it’s who you feel closest to and I told my grandfather that”. “What did he say?” Dolores asked imagining how her Abuela would react if she ever refused a request to further the family just because she didn’t want to. You however just smiled. “He told me he completely agreed and would write to his friend telling him the deal was off...apparently they’d kind of already agreed so technically I was engaged for a couple of days”. Dolores’ blood ran cold as you said that. Bruno’s prophecy came back to her and she realised you, the man of her dreams, now fit his prediction completely.
Dolores was now certain she’d been with the wrong person all this time but she wanted to run the idea by her family first. They’d all assumed the prophecy was about Mariano like her so she wanted to run her realisation by them and she did so at the dinner table. As usual once she’d finished speaking everyone looked to Abuela. “I like y/n but I’m not sure this could be about him” she said. “Why?” Dolores asked and her Abuela sighed. “Well y/n was assigned female gender at birth and at the time of the prophecy we all assumed she was a girl, how would Bruno have known that and changed it to her correct pronouns?” Abuela asked. Dolores already had an answer to that “well y/n was assigned female gender at birth but he was always a man. So he was a man at the time of the prophecy, we just didn’t know it yet”. “Can it work like that?” Abuela asked Bruno who shrugged “hey prophecies are hard to interpret but I know two things. One, they’re never as straightforward as you think meaning it probably wasn’t about Marino at all that’d be too obvious. Second, trans men are men so I see no reason why this can’t be about y/n”. Dolores beamed and her parents both put an arm around her back “we think it’s about y/n but the most important thing is that you think it about him” Pepa smiled. Felix nodded “that’s right, if you love him then we say go for it”. Dolores smiled, tears leaking down her face as Antonio nodded...Camilo on the other hand was frowning. “Has anyone considered y/n might not want to marry Dolores though?” he asked and Antonio elbowed him in the shin. “I’m kidding” Camilo cried nursing his leg “we both support you too of course”. Dolores smiled at all her family and wiped away the tears “thank you all so much. While I don’t need your permission it is nice to have your support. I’m going to ask y/n tonight when he comes over...if he wants to date me not marry me” she said nodding to Camilo “I’ll let you know what he says”. Everyone wished her luck and Dolores went to her room to wait for you.
She sat by her window, facing the direction you’d come and fretted about how she’d tell you. She couldn't think of any straightforward way to say it and was just working herself up into a panic. Finally she spotted you approaching the house from her window and rushed downstairs to meet you. She opened the door just as you were about to knock and you jumped “Dolores! Were you waiting for me?”. “Maybe” she shrugged “I just have something I need to talk to you about...can we go talk in my room before dinner?”. You nodded “of course” and followed Dolores to her room.
Dolores closed her door and you looked at her expectantly. Dolores looked away and began fiddling with things on her table to buy herself time. “Erm Dolores?” you asked after a few minutes and she turned around “yeah?”. “That thing you have to tell me?”. She nodded “ow yeah well erm...Bruno had this prophecy about me and all this time I thought it was about someone else but now I think it’s about you”. You frowned “okay we can work this out, what’s the prophecy”. “See that’s the thing” Dolores said hesitantly “I want you to know if you don’t want the prophecy to be about you then I’ll drop it and it won’t have to be about you”. You paused “but I thought the whole point of a prophecy is you can’t escape it? I can’t just decide I don’t want it to be about me, it’s not a choice”. Dolores winced “no but in this circumstance you do, I’m not forcing you into anything just because of a prophecy”. You stared “force me into anything...Dolores what is the prophecy?”. “Okay so Bruno told me there would be this man”. You nodded “okay with you so far, i tick that box”. “He said he’d be important for me but he’d be betrothed to another”. Again you nodded “I was engaged for a while and I like to think I’ve been important to you, why are you so worried? This isn’t bad”. Dolores sighed “when Bruno said important he meant in the love sense” she explained and you paused “love? As in friendship or...”. “His exact words were “the man of your dreams”. Your eyes widened and you stared at Dolores as if entranced. “The man of your...you think that definition fits me?”. Dolores blushed and made a small squeak but nodded “I like you y/n. Ever since we were kids I felt this pull to you, I loved being around you and I felt jealous when you made new friends or liked other girls. I figured it was just me being protective because I didn’t think you fit with the prophecy. Then you came out as your true gender and you got betrothed...and I realised it had been you all along. Atleast from my point of view, just because you’re the man of my dreams doesn’t mean I have to be the woman of yours. You do have a choice y/n and I'll support whatever you choose”. Silence settled and finally you stopped staring and looked down. “I’m honestly just a little shocked because...” but Dolores cut in “I know it’s a lot to take in but don’t worry you can take as long as you need to decide what you want to do”. You shook your head “ow no I know exactly what my decision is, yes Dolores. I’d love to date you, I just can’t believe I’m the man of your dreams! You’re Dolores! The most quirky, funny, beautiful girl in our whole village. I love how calm and collected you appear but how with me you can be reckless and childish. I find you’re inability to keep even the smallest secret hilarious and I smiled every time I see you. You can sing, dance, throw shade like it’s nothing and you hold the burden of your family like a warrior...saying I’m the man of your dreams makes me so surprised because I have no idea how I’m good enough for a girl like you”. Dolores was bright red when you finished and made a small squeak in response before rushing to wrap her arms around you. You of course caught her and hugged her back holding her close to you. “Of course you’re good enough for me” she told you “to me you’re perfect y/n”. You smiled “Dolores Madrigal are you flirting with me”. “Yes but let me make it more obvious” she cried and leant in. You met her halfway and kissed her softly. It was as amazing as you’d always dreamt and you melted into the kiss becoming a soppy mess. When Dolores pulled away you stared at her in a daze “i’m the luckiest guy in the world, I know your cousins have gifts but they’ve got nothing on how privileged I am”. Dolores blushed and took your hand “you’re so sweet” and she went to kiss you again when there was a knock on the door. “Dolores dinner is ready” Camilo called and she called back you’d be down soon. “So how do you want to do this?” you asked her “tell your family or do you want more time?”. Dolores laughed “well they actually already know, I told them I’d worked out why the prophecy was about and that I was telling you now so...the second we walk in together they’ll know”. You were slightly intimidated but then you reminded yourself these were the Madrigals. The family you’d loved since you were a child, they’d all welcomed you and supported you constantly. Not to mention you weren’t alone. Dolores took your hand “you ready?”. You weren’t the bravest person but for Dolores you’d go anywhere so you nodded “let’s do this” and she opened the door.
I’ll be honest, I don’t like Mariano and I think it must’ve sucked to have your prophecy just be about some guy...so I changed it into a trans love story!
Full disclosure I’m not trans and this is my second time writing for a trans person but representation matters and I wanted to give some trans content and what better time with pride month (UK) just around the corner.
If there are any trans people who think I should’ve done something differently or have any tropes they hate/want to see more of just let me know and i’ll try and exclude/include them in future pieces.
So I was looking at Mirabel's skirt and I noticed something interesting.
All around the skirt are little patterns that match each one of her family members.
Two by Two
Being Camilo’s twin wasn’t easy when you think your gift wasn’t as ‘flashy’ or as happiness-inducing like your brother’s. As Casita breaks down maybe your power could be finally of good use.
masterlist !! two by two headcanons
Platonic! Twin! Camilo x Twin! Reader
What’s worse than one Camilo Madrigal? Two Camilo Madrigals. Well, not exactly but you might as well be. Born a few minutes after Camilo was born, you were twins with the one and only troublemaker shapeshifter of the Madrigal Family. Though you can say you aren’t as bad as your older brother. Sure you would play meaningless pranks here and there but you were surprisingly more tame than he was, acting like another much more mischievous Isabela in your Abuela’s words.
While your brother had the ability to shapeshift into different people, you had the ability to shapeshift into different animals. Safe to say the first few months of having your miracles, Encanto experienced frequent thunderstorms and rainfall. The two of you were almost the same except however for your personalities. Yet you two would insist you were identical, often wearing matching ruanas as well as matching slippers so that you two wouldn't be told apart. You were proud to have him as your big brother and had loved him so.
Although you would be a bit envious of Camilo. Turning into different animals weren’t as flashy and people pleasing as Camilo’s. Though you tried to hide the fact that you felt that way.
One would think the two of you wouldn’t be as close but you would be surprised. Camilo adored you, you were his twin, you two shared the same womb, it was natural for him to be overprotective. He’d frequently tell you that you two would stick with one another no matter what.
You can always remember the times when you two were younger, whenever you’re upset he would always be sure to defend you. Sure you’d sometimes get into little arguments and tussles but it wouldn’t even last long. He would always be the first one to cave in and apologize. Although the two of you were almost the same, you were more sensitive than he was, fighting would almost always end up with you crying and storming out of frustration.
“I’m your twin.” He would remind you with a smile that the two of you shared. “You’re my twin, we stick together through thick and thin.” Camilo would promise. No matter what you or him did, the two of you would always be stuck with one another.
Although following your little brother Antonio’s gift ceremony, as well as the declaration that cracks were showing in Casita as well as the candle flickering, the two of you had ended up at odds once more. You stood by Mirabel, believing in your cousin that the miracle was dying. After all, Mirabel wouldn’t lie about such a thing. You were sure of it.
You didn't expect to discover more of yourself now that Casita was allegedly breaking down. The insecurities that you had dug deep deep down to please your abuela Alma resurfaced after stumbling upon Mirabel, while coaxing her sister to give her a hug. You didn't anticipate joining Isabela on venting out what you had thought were your flaws and weaknesses.
You grimaced as you watched Abuela’s enraged outburst. Everything was a mess.
Your primas, Luisa could barely lift an empanada, and Isabela was out of control. Then again you might have also been a part of the little flower show that Isabela had done, causing imperfect but still beautiful flowers and plants to grow. Your abuela had almost always suggested turning into animals that were beautiful in her standards. An orchid mantis, a scarlet macaw, a multicolored tanager, a peacock or a flamingo.. those were what she deemed as beautiful. Never what you liked. She never asked what you would like to turn to. Her obsession with perfection extended to you in a way. It's always been just,
(Name) turn into this..
(Name) this would look beautiful..
Ay, (Name) that animal would do no good, it must be beautiful..
And you couldn’t help but resent how she doesn’t tell off Camilo to change into 'beautiful' and 'perfect' people. Camilo was free. Camilo was free to change to who he wants and he wouldn’t get scolded for changing into something your Abuela thought was dangerous and ugly. So when you finally had the chance to be free and wild? You took the opportunity.
You had run and danced alongside them, turning into different animals you had only heard of from books as Isabela bloomed stranger but equally beautiful flowers.
A lion, leopard, tiger, and a beautiful snake too.. all of it had frightened the villagers as you ran and ‘danced’ on the roofs of Casita with your cousins and it didn’t take long until your Abuela Alma to rush in Casita, shaking with fury. Caught up with the rush, you hadn’t even had time to change back from your form, a clouded leopard with Isabela’s colorful flower stains on your fur.
You looked down as your Abuela berated Mirabel. Lips parting as she spoke to Mirabel with venom lacing her words. You tried to find the words to defend her. Still unchanging, your fur reflecting in the moonlight as you stood there beside Isabela.
“Look at our home! Look at your sister, your cousin..!” She says, appalled by your messy and wild form. At that you had slowly changed back, unable to meet your grandmother’s eyes.
“Please, just, Isabela and (Name) weren't happy.” Mirabel tries to explain as your cousin had started to pat down the colorful mess on her dress before turning to you to gently wipe the color off your face. Both of you shifting in place nervously.
“Of course they’re unhappy! You ruined her proposal and (Name), Mirabel, you managed to rope in your prima too?”
It was a back and forth before your grandmother’s voice had shakily escaped her lips.
“The cracks started with you.” Your abuela took a step forward. “Bruno left because of you.”
“Luisa’s losing her powers! Isabela’s out of control and (Name) has gone wild because of you!” You could see Mirabel's expression and you wanted nothing more but to come to her rescue.
“I don’t know why you weren’t given a gift! But it is not an excuse for you to hurt this family!” The ground shook from underneath you, Casita’s tiles cracked as Mirabel lowered her gaze.
“I will.. never be good enough for you, will I?” Mirabel’s voice felt unsteady and you could see your Tia and Tio Julieta and Agustin behind your abuela, worry written in their features. “No matter how hard I try..” Her gaze trailed to her sisters and you.
“No matter how any of us tries. Luisa will never be strong enough, Isabela won’t be perfect enough, (Name) won’t be like Camilo, Bruno left our family because you only saw the worst in him!” Mirabel exclaims. You winced at her words, looking down at your feet. You won’t ever be like Camilo. You won’t please enough people, you won’t make others happy just like your hermano did. You refused to look at your parents eyes’, clearly showing that they didn’t know how hard you struggled to please everyone by limiting who you were.
You especially couldn’t look at Camilo who, thankfully, wasn’t in sight.
“Bruno didn’t care about this family!” The skies darkened and more cracks started to appear underneath your feet.
“He loves this family, I love this family, we all love this family, you’re the one that doesn’t care. You’re the one breaking our home..!” Mirabel continued, frustration written in her features.
“Don’t you ever..!” Your abuela had taken a step forward, her face contorting in anger. But Mirabel had stood her ground.
“The miracle is dying because of you!” Your abuela’s eyes widened and she had looked taken aback, the angry expression fading from her worn and old face.
And for a millisecond everything was silent until the ground split between the two of them. Your mami had gasped, hands raised as her eyes were focused on the candle. Mirabel and Abuela had looked towards where the candle was perched, gasping.
As the cracks worsened, it knocked the candle out of balance. Everyone braced themselves as the ground shook once more. Mirabel was the first to move, running towards the candle.
“Casita, get me up there!” Casita had broken one of the railings, turning it into a ladder she could climb up on. You caught a glimpse of Camilo’s figure who had looked at you briefly, lips pursed and an unreadable expression on his face. You watch him shift into different people, ducking and running to not save the candle but Mirabel.
Your cousin Isabela had grabbed a vine, swinging and attempting to help but as she did so, you caught sight of her door, flickering before slowly going out of light. Her powers went away too as she suddenly fell, and with the help of Casita had managed to get down safely.
Your brother Camilo was close, jumping to reach the roof in Jose’s form before he had turned back to himself again and you would have helped if it weren’t for Casita beating you to it. You quickly turned to Mirabel, turning into a cheetah and attempting to save her. Damn the miracle. Your cousin had helped you be more of yourself, and realize you didn’t have to worry about making people happy as long as you were happy. Your happiness came first and it took your prima to realize that.
You jumped and quickly maneuvered the debris that stood in your way, paws tapping against the cracked tiles that was pristine before. Seeing Antonio being carried away by your father, you had swiftly pushed and guided them to the way as more debris fell. You could see Mirabel reach the rooftop, and you struggled to climb up with her, running along the ladder Casita had placed down with all your might.
“Mirabel!” You could hear your Tia Julieta call out for your cousin, watching as the tiles created waves to push her back to the rest of the family.
“(Name)!” Your own mother’s voice had exclaimed, trying to reach out for you as well. “(Name)! Mirabel, leave it!”
As she struggled to reach the window, you had helped her out, letting her climb on your back, pushing her against the wall so she could have something to hold on as Casita’s roof tiles pushed her up even more. For some reason your door was still okay, still glowing despite the flickers. You can only hope you would have enough time to get the two of you out of there.
Your eyes widened as the largest tower of your home had slowly descended and you watched Mirabel as Casita caught her, creating a slide on the way down. You let out a frightened yowl as you were separated from her, your door finally flickering and going out as you shifted back to yourself, a large crash echoing as Casita came crashing down on the two of you.
Your family had quickly rushed in as the worst of the disaster had passed, dust and smoke wafting about.
“Mirabel!” Julieta’s cries filled the air with Pepa’s calling of your own. “(Name)!”
Your Abuela was settled down by Dolores, making sure the older woman was alright before she had joined the search for you. And she had sobbed, her gift being no more. Despite the times she wished her miracle was different or she hadn’t gotten a miracle at all, she wished her hearing had returned now so she could find you. She would take it all back, have her miracle enhanced to its maximum and she wouldn’t mind. If it meant hearing you again.
Camilo Madrigal had never been scared. He was supposed to be all smiles, so he could entertain, so he could make everyone happy. But as he saw you chase after Mirabel, dread pooled in his stomach.
His throat was sore as he called out your name along with your mami. No, no, he could lose his powers but not you. He didn’t even have the chance to say sorry yet. He didn’t know. If he had known what you had felt, what you had thought of yourself, he would’ve reassured you. He didn’t want another him, he only wanted one of you.
He was the first in the pile of debris, looking around for any sign of you.
“(Name), please, where are you!?” Dios, Dios, if he can hear Camilo’s prayers, please let him find you safe. “(Name), hija, where are you?!” Your mother and father had sobbed in worry.
You and Him. Him and You. Two by two, remember?
And Camilo had sobbed, desperation evident in his painful cries. The gravity of the situation weighing down on him. What if he never finds you? What if he was a twin no more? He’d give everything up just to know that you’re okay.
He was slowly losing all hope. There was no sign of you.
Memories of growing up with you had suddenly entered his mind and made him sob harder. The day of your fifth birthdays’ he had told you that he would use his powers just not to help the people of Encanto but to protect you, his baby sister. He promised to make you smile no matter what and protect that smile too. He promised that you would never be apart.
Once you had gotten lost whilst running wild in Encanto's forests in your many animal forms, exploring and not heeding any warnings or calls from your parents. As soon as Dolores had informed the rest of the family of your disappearance, he was already grabbing his ruana and a lamp. It didn't take long for him to find you, huddled inside a hollow tree, whimpering and calling out for him.
You were inconsolable, having been under the impression that you had been forgotten and abandoned. Camilo only shook his head and carried you on his back where you hugged his neck tight.
"No matter where you are, hermana, even if you were on the opposite side of the world, I'll always come and find you."
He had made you laugh, and had tried his hardest not to make you cry. He would tease you but you’d know he didn’t mean a word. He would give you seconds and when the two of you were caught, he would take the blame.
And he squeezed his eyes shut, tears continuing to roll down his freckles cheeks.
“Hermana, please..” He collapsed on his knees, hands trembling and all cut up as he had tried to dig through numerous piles of broken down walls and furniture. Antonio had curled up behind him, not wanting to believe that you were gone. Pepa and Felix had joined, pulling each other into a tight hug as Dolores stifled a sob.
“Cami..” A quiet voice had come out of nowhere and he swore he had never gotten up that fast. “(Name)?” He calls out. Was his mind deceiving him?
"Camilo," There it was again. Calling out to him and he whipped his head from side to side, looking for the source of the voice.
"(Name)! I hear you!" Dios, Dios, was it you? Were you okay? He begged to whomever was listening that it was you who he heard.
“Cami.. Mamí, Papí, Toñito..” Another call of his name and the rest of your families’ and he knew he wasn’t hallucinating anymore. “(Name)! Where are you, hermana!?” He was up on his feet, your own family following after him as hope swelled in their hearts.
A pile of furniture was situated deeper in the ruins of Casita and there you were, huddled up under the protection of the large dining room table as well as the large doors of your home. You coughed again, dust in your lungs as you breathed in.
Camilo was the first one to hold you, pulling you close and hugging you tightly as he sobbed against your hair. “Hermana,” You couldn’t look him in the eyes after what Mirabel had said but you allowed him to hold you. The next thing you knew you were both engulfed into a warm hug by your parents and Dolores who had sobbed as well, Antonio wiggling in between you and Camilo’s hug.
“I was afraid we lost you, (Name).” Pepa’s voice trembled as she gently cupped your dust covered cheek in her hands, wiping them away as tears rolled down her cheeks. She held you close, squeezing as if making sure that she wasn't dreaming. She gently held you in arm's length, looking over to make sure that you were okay.
“Why didn’t you tell us?” Felix had gently held your shoulder and you looked down at the question as you felt Camilo’s gaze on you.
“I didn’t want.. I just wanted to make everyone happy like Camilo,” You admit. “But it’s hard with a miracle like mine.. or what once was mine. I thought if I just kept quiet, I’ll slowly love who I am and what I'm meant to be. I thought I’d be satisfied with just being.. I just wanted to make you happy.” You trailed off as you hiccupped.
“Lo siento, mamí, papí..” Pepa and Felix looked at one another before shaking their heads. “Ay, mija.. whatever makes you happy, makes us happy. Your happiness comes first and foremost. Whatever you wish to do, we will be right behind you.”
Camilo sighed softly as he gently pats your head. “You don’t need to make everyone happy, hermana. I don’t want you to be like me. I like you the way you are. I like (Name) Madrigal, my twin sister.” He says seriously.
“And besides, you think the town could take another me? We might as well be shooed out of Encanto.”
You stifled a laugh, your cries ceasing as you smiled and Camilo had mirrored your own. “See?” He ruffles your hair and your would tilt your head curiously, wondering what he had meant.
“I told you, I’ll always find you."
