headcanon that percy just starts referring to annabeth as his wife one day when they’re not even engaged yet.

they’re like 20 and percy’s talking to someone and says “i don’t know, let me ask my wife” and everyone just turns and stares at him, but he fully does not realize what he just said. annabeth dies laughing when someone tells her, but then refers to percy as her husband while he’s next to her just to see his reaction. when he seems completely unfazed, the two just keep referring to each other by that.

the day of graduation, the moment after they announce the new class of new rome university or whatever they do there idk, percy just drops to one knee right then and there.

The funniest part about the lightening thief is the fact that everyone was like "I don't know who Percy’s godly parent could possibly be" like they all really gaslit themselves even after the fact that the dude

a) had a powerful enough scent that chiron took time off to pretend to be his latin teacher

b) fought a minotaur with zero training and no weapons

c) drenched clarisse and her gang in toilet water

d) beat luke in a swordfight after drenching himself in water

e) was literally only good at canoeing

f) kept saying his dad was "lost at sea"

i’m just thinking about annabeth having PTSD over losing percy. and i don’t mean losing him as in dying (which obviously she’s scared of too) but in this case i mean losing him like she did in heroes of olympus.

i’m just thinking of annabeth, once she and percy finally move in together, waking up one morning without percy next to her and having a panic attack thinking he was taken again. so she jumps up and starts frantically checking every room of the house until she finds him in the kitchen.

he’s making breakfast and was going to surprise annabeth with it in bed, and he starts to make some joke about her ruining the surprise until he sees her panicked face.

and annabeth just wraps him in a tight hug and let’s herself sob into his shoulder because godsdammit she loves him and she can’t lose him again.

that’s just what i’m thinking about.
