I completed the lady midnight book last night!! Ok, spoilers ahead so continue reading on your own risk.. emma is so stupid! She is now going to make sure julian is jealous and hurt hime! plus Kit aka Christopher is a Herondale! And the magic that has been created by emma and julian being parabatai and then falling in love with each other! Glad that malcolm is dead but now Annabelle is back. Then there's Christina and Perfect Diego and Mark and Kieran.. Mark is jealous of Perfect Diego. He also loves Kieran. And then there's Kieran being jealous. And now that Emma and Mark are going to pretend to be together Julian and Kieran and maybe Christina?? will be jealous! On top of that there is the magic of being in love with your parabatai and it's consequences! I mean emma and julian can clearly use it for good things but obviously emma won't tell it to julian yet. I can't wait to know what's going to happen in the next book.. i will keep you'll updated! See ya folks

I love how this series shows that gathering intel is a long process. Cassian had to gain Kino’s trust by helping him solving problems and giving him ideas or information which at one point directed towards Cassian’s own agenda. I think that’s the first skills that an interrogator/recruiter/spy should have. The fact that he’d done it before joining the rebellion showed that he’s the perfect Fulcrum.

I have seen multiple posts about the new Zorro show this morning, so I suppose it just started? So, while it is a subject people are talking about:

The very first Zorro book, The Curse of Capistrano, later renamed as The Mark of Zorro, is available for free on Project Gutenberg, and it was genuinely one of my top 2 books of 2022 (it's a tie with the German pirate novel Ein Meer aus Feuer). Genuinely one of the best-paced things I've ever read. 100/10, would absolutely recommend.

It was my pleasure to draw some Soft Five holding Mr. Pennycrumb when asked. Then I realised I don't usually give Five's clothes much colour and had an aneurysm, the unicorn bag Did Not want to behave itself and got redesigned 3 times. Annnd then I got carried away and drew 4 5's to better showcase the lil gremlin with his emotional support mongrel.

Loved every minute, would 10/10 do more platonic 5 centric requests

Okay okay oaky I have to ask based on the ask abt the disbarment I have to wonder how does Good Guy Godot react when phoenix DOES go too far??? (Ik he’d be going by diego again but I like the alliteration) like??? Would he be kinda pissed seeing what phoenix has become??? Would he be kinda pissed at HIMSELF for not noticing the ways phoenix was changing?? Would he be upset with MIA for not relaying that information to him??? Like???????? The potential?????

The thing is

I actually have to disagree here

I don’t think Diego would think Phoenix went too far

He didn’t lose sight of what was truly important (trucy, his badge, putting a criminal behind bars)

He didn’t lose sight of himself (yes he changed physically, emotionally, became cagier, but he laughed a lot more. It was for an end goal.)

And he didn’t think that murder was okay

So, based on Diego’s rules, he didn’t go too far. Yes, he may have pushed Apollo a little far, but all these mentors keep doing this to their lawyers and no one says anything. Phoenix didn’t commit crimes, and so Diego would have believed that what Phoenix did was justified AND that he was a lot smarter in how he went about things than how Diego was about to go about things before Mia was like “wtf are you doing”

So yes, Phoenix did change. But he didn’t lose himself the way that Diego lost himself when he became Godot.
