Tiny Toad Brown: Do you find beauty in something that people consider to be ugly or undesirable?

I do! I’ve loved frogs and toads since I was a young kid, even though people think they’re gross or slimy, I adore them. Also I have like a deep fascination with the concept of the Monstrous Feminine; it’s a whole thingy but technically it’s like, what makes certain “female” traits undesirable and how they’re framed as something to be feared, ashamed of, etc.

I do. I get sad way before I get mad or anything, it’s a problem.. even when I’m annoyed or pissed, I’ll be sad about it and it just instantly kills my mood

Hello! I don't know if i'm remembering correctly but I think I might have read about an experience that you had or someone else wrote here where someone disapproved of their relationship and interactions with the fae. If I were to come across a situation like this, what do you think would be the mode of action to go through? I'm not too good with confrontation but I also don't want someone to turn away from that with more resentment towards the fae than knowledge. Are people usually receptive?

Writer Speaks:

Yes, that was me. It was a couple years back, where my friend who was a witch told me that she didn’t trust Atri, and that she had a bad feeling about my interacting with him, which of course, gave me a mood dump, because Atri is also a friend of mine and someone I care about.

As to whether or not most people are receptive of the ideas of interacting and being friends with Fae? Unfortunately, on the whole, I’d say most are going to probably be cautious about this, or think it’s ‘weird’. Just being bluntly honest. It’s how most of this society is, (especially offline) but I don’t think this should ever stop you from voicing what you believe in and the beings you like and interact with. If you hide who you really are, you’ll never find the people that accept all of you and your otherly friends. When you speak up about them, you attract the ones that do accept - like my friend I just spoke of in the other post right before this one. He fully accepts that I talk and have history with Fae and he even has Fae around his home as well. So, it’s nice.

You’ll find your people if you are being true to you. If you’re afraid of people’s reactions, then that will tell you afterwards who’s really ‘your people’.

If your goal is to help teach people about them who just may be ignorant to who they are, then do baby steps. Talk about what you believe in and perceive in an honest way, so that they’ll know this is something important and sacred to you, not just a joke. Be sincere when you speak.

On that note, the friend of mine who was concerned about my interactions with Atri, has since changed her mind. Now, she thinks he came to me for a reason, as someone that I needed to see and hear, to get to where I need to be. People can change and grow if their hearts are in the right place.

P.S. I really wish Pantheacon didn’t end and that they do find a new way to have something like that, again, because that was one place that gave me that great offline crossover to a mass of people that believed in all the same things that I did. My experiences were normal there. I remember telling my friend that it felt like for a few days that I had stepped out of society and into a new one where all that I was was completely welcomed and magic and Fae and all of it were natural things that everyone was in on. It was amazing. It was a different world entirely. I really hope they make something new in its place. I’d definitely be back.

-He honestly thought he was a little more drunk than usual the first few times. But then he realized you just really enjoyed dancing to Katy Perry in your undies. It doesn’t really bother him, it’s actually kind of cute. He wishes you’d do it in front of him more often, instead of just glaring at him.

2p Canada:

-Uh…What are you doing? Are you seriously playing with your belly button? He just shakes his head when you stare him down. Yeah, it’s weird, but he’s done some odd things while he was home alone so he’s not judging you. Still, did you have to wipe your belly button lint on the couch?

2p America:

-He’s a bit concerned about your habit of making your food pretend like it’s terrified of being eaten before you put it in your mouth. The sour look you give him doesn’t bug him, and he learns to tiptoe around you when you’re eating your snacks. But really though, it kind of freaks him out.

2p Prussia:

-He was worried sick the first time he caught you trying to stuff as many grapes as you possibly could into your mouth. He honestly though you were trying to choke yourself. After a bit of grumbling from you, he stopped worrying so much. It’s oddly fascinating to watch, and he makes sure to stay hidden so you won’t glare at him. He’s waiting for you to break your record of 27.

2p Italy:

-He loves you, and would do anything for you, but really? Why are you so fascinated with pimple popping videos? It’s disgusting! He stops trying to see what you’re doing every time you use your computer or phone, because he honestly feels a bit sick every time he sees you watching that. A part of him wants to punish you for glaring, but a much bigger part is saying to stay away because you might be watching those videos.

2p Japan:

-He honestly thought you’d lost it the first time he caught you storming around the house yelling at nothing. Then he started listening, and realized that you were just winning fake arguments. It’s honestly amusing, especially when the arguments are silly(like the one time you debated whether Nutella tasted better straight out of the jar or on a piece of bread). He gets a bit frustrated when you get snippy with him, but it’s only because he wants to hear the end of your arguments.

A scenario where the Sakamaki's s/o had a habit of becoming mischievous when she's bored, no one usually catches her but they find her out for the first time.

SAKAMAKI

Shu: Even if Shu caught her redhanded, he would not care to do anything to her unless it directly affected him in a negative way. He would comment how she was truly a troublesome woman, but nothing more would come out of him. Overall, he would just ignore her and let her be. He may find her mischievous actions to be amusing at times too, though he would never admit that.

Reiji: Reiji would be quite upset with his s/o and he threatens them with strict training and punishment in order to break this horrible habit of hers. Grabbing her roughly by the arm, Reiji would drag her away to the Sakamaki dungeons where he could whip her as much as he wants. He warns her to never do that again or else he will punish her again. He wants a well-mannered lady after all.

Ayato: He may join in on her mischievous plans if it interests him, and Ayato may have found his new partner in crime. He’s more lenient with his s/o than the rest of his brothers, but if his s/o is being particularly naughty, he might take advantage of her to suck her blood. In general, Ayato would start to see how much they have in common with each other and enjoy his time with her.

Kanato: At first, Kanato would be very stern and angry with his s/o. He would berate her and call her stupid for trying things like that when she’s bored, and he would be overall irritated with her actions. Kanato would yell at her to stop being an idiot and do something more productive when she’s bored, like baking him sweets or listening to him sing. He thinks she’ll be useless if she continues to do that.

Laito: Laito would smirk and be surprised by the power of his naughty s/o. He may join her just for the entertainment, but he would also use this opportunity to punish her. She may be his lover, but he will not let this slide so easily. Wrapping an arm around her waist, Laito would murmur in his s/o’s ear how she was definitely his Bitch-chan for doing bad things like this.

Subaru: Subaru is surprised to find his s/o pranking people or messing around with other people’s things, and he wonders why she does it in the first place. He may warn her to be careful and when she playfully asks if he’s worried about her getting hurt, he would immediately deny it and say he doesn’t want to see her doing stupid crap. But boy, does he have a storm coming from his s/o.

Kino: Kino may find his s/o to be very amusing in light of many events, and he would often question her motives. He thinks she’s interesting as a human being, but he doesn’t want her foiling any of his plans or schemes. To control her better, Kino would keep her busy and have her do things for him. It’ll create less stress for him and he wouldn’t have to keep an eye on her that often. Win-win!

MUKAMI

Ruki: He would not tolerate his s/o being mischievous and would not hesitate to punish her for it too. As a dominant figure, he doesn’t like his authority to be tested, so he would only allow his s/o to do things that are more “efficient” in his opinion. Instead of pulling pranks, he wants her to be more cultured and knowledgeable in her free time.

Kou: Kou would think she was cute for playing pranks and being a little devious to others. But the cuteness would fade away once he realizes how subtly intelligent she was, and he may feel slightly wary about it. He’s no longer into this, and would thoroughly make his s/o submit to him because he wants full control over her.

Yuma: Yuma would probably yell at her more often for creating unnecessary trouble for him, and he would inform her darkly that if she were to mess with anything related to him, he would break her arms to show that the tables have turned. It’s an awful threat, but he means it, so his s/o would be wise to obey him. Thus, he is quicker to punish than the rest of his brothers.

Azusa: Azusa would tell his s/o to stop her actions before she got hurt or if she hurt others. But in reality, he would want his s/o to inflict her mischievous doings onto him. If it is another chance for him to feel pleasure through pain, he will gladly accept it, though this might convince his s/o to give up her old ways for the safety of him instead. (A sly and indirect move from Azusa.)

Uta, Shuu, and Yomo with an s/o who is extremely calm in dangerous or painful situations like setting themselves of fire by accident or getting stabbed? Thank you beforehand if you decide to do this ask.

No problem at all, I’ll do my best! I decided to do them all getting stabbed and their s/o being a ghoul.

Uta was impressed, and that’s something he couldn’t say often. 

They were breathing heavily, but other than that they showed no signs of fear or pain. They were laying in HySy’s main floor - probably not the best idea, Uta didn’t own a mop - with a pocket knife sticking out of their abdomen. Their dinner had put up a good fight, but they had won. As always.

“You’re going to have too,” they said. “I can’t.”

Uta bent towards them. His long, graceful fingers laced around the silver handle. 

“Straight out,” they mumbled, closing their eyes. “Don’t twist it or anything.”

“Trust me,” Uta said, ripping the knife out swiftly. “ I’ve had a few of these to the face, you know.”

Shuu tightened his coat sleeve around their arm. He wasn’t sure why; he knew they’d heal in a matter of minutes. In fact, they seemed more calm than he was.

“I’m fine,” they insisted. “It was a scratch.”

“With a knife,” Shuu sighed. “If you hadn’t put you’re arm up they would have cut your chest.”

They huffed. They knew they should have been paying more attention, but it’s not like anyone died. Well, anyone that mattered.

They untied Shuu’s coat from their arm. Their cut was beginning to heal. 

“I got blood all over your coat,” they complained. “I can’t believe you bandaged me up with this giant thing.”

“Should I start bringing bandages?” Shuu teased.

Yomo carefully lowered them into the bathtub, hoping the water wasn’t too hot or cold. They sighed, leaning back and letting the water relax their muscles. From the look on their partner’s face, Yomo needed a hot bath more than they did. 

“I’m fine,” they promised. “I’m healed and everything.”

“Too close.”

Yomo slipped his shirt off. He sat on the edge of the tub and dipped a loofa in the water, carefully squeezing their favorite body wash onto it. They leaned forward, letting him gently wash their back and shoulders. His fingers grazed their ribs; there wasn’t even a scar from the wound that was there minutes before.

“You worry too much,” they whispered, turning their head for a kiss. Yomo pecked their lips before returning to their back.

“Only because I have so much to lose.”

The Artist

The Artist is a species. Poet, Writer, Sculptor, Painter, amd musician, being only a few genus'.

The Poet is a wolf in sheep's clothing. It stalks the night for the cursed and the beautiful and breathes in the life force of the dead. All the while it blames their words for their pain. They have wide grey eyes and put the flowers covering epitaphs in their hair.

The Writer is blessed with the eyes of the universe. Many warn their children against them so they are less likely to follow after any, where they would one day wonder back, with insanity fripping from their eyes. Knights hunt them down and bring their hearts to emperors, so they might not crumble their imperiums. Be careful of their waychful eyes.

The Sculptors see the world as it might be. They are the Earth's raw spawn and beareach of her scars. They have no faces and grasp desperately at the heavens, even after being told no. Hell pities them in bleak days when the angels ignore them completely.

The Painter knows no one but all of us. It sees through to the soul, urged them to kindle. They fear the dark of cloudy nights. They will only assume the form of a deer, draped in lilac silks, when looking for a scene. It is a rare opportunity to ever see their actual skin, some say it is made from worlds that no longer exist.

Then the Musician. Only they can speak a language that lulls humanity as a whole. They are either fillid with sorrows or with beginnings. They are elusive of the Artists and have claws strung from people's breath. They snatch the curious from their feet once they get too close. They look death in the eye and sing him to sleep. Their breath smells of oak and ivory.

There are more of this species. Undiscovered ones as well. But perhaps it is a blessing upon us that they have not been.

Hello! You have mentioned before that some Fae will eat humans. I'm not sure if you have answered this before, but is this in terms of energy or full throttle chomping down on a piece of meat? Does it differ among the different types of fae?

The Fae Speak:

Yes, some Fae types will physically and literally eat a human. Kelpies are a good example of that. Not all types of Fae eat humans, but yes, there are some species of Fae that do.

Reiji: Okay, a lady shouldn’t look like that! Constantly telling you to wipe that scowl off your face. He’ll take it as a sign of defiance, so he will most likely punish you. Reiji has no chill….

Ayato: Hey what’s your deal? If you got something to say to him say it to his face! Your constant look of wanting to fight makes him want to challenge you.Will tell you that you remind him too much of his brother.

Kanato: Don’t even with this guy. He’ll get mad at you quicker than you can blink. Dolls shouldn’t be scowling like that. Kanato will yell at you because he thinks you’re furrowing your eyebrows at him.

Laito: He wants to wipe that look of your face, and he knows just how to do it~ He’ll loosen you up here and there commenting with perverted remarks just to see what you’ll do. He does the same to Subaru sometimes, so it’s nothing new to him.

Subaru: Why does everyone say you look like him. “I don’t scowl like that!” He’ll say. Subaru will question you on why you look like someone threatened to steal your oreos. Doesn’t understand why you look so mad. Will tell you that if you’re mad then fix the problem….
