Does anybody on tumblr love Perona as much as I do?!

(Once again, may be more accurate to pre time skip perona 😋)

Perona with a girlfriend seems like such a sweetie!! And I say this in the kindest way possible- but with men (specifically stupid men) she just seems to get upset quicker?? Granted, in the show, as far as I’ve seen she interacts with male more than females (poor her she’s gonna go insane) but then again there’s more guys than girls in op anyway.

Moving on- shopping with her is always fun!! ٩( 'ω' )و you two could shop for hours and hours together. By the way I’m specifically talking about when she dropped zoro off on sabaody. You can’t tell me she didn’t stay for a while and buy a crap ton of cute clothes. Ngl the girls in the background of sabaody had some pretty cute outfits!! Which mean they have good clothing stores. Which means you two definitely when on a shopping spree 😉🤩

I’m talking going from store to store, getting snacks like pretzels and cotton candy in between, going on a few rides n such. And of course getting some sweet deals because your cute and know how to coupon 😋😋

While we’re on the topic I might as well mention fashion. In fact these wouldn’t be Perona headcanons without it⁉️ Like have you SEEN how that girl dresses?! I LOVE her style it’s so cute!! (Opinion: I like her pre time skip fit better) Besides the point tho, I just feel like she couldn’t get along with someone who has no style so IK for sure you’ve got some 🙌

Either that or your okay with her dolling you up LOL. Ngl I feel like she’d love that- whether you can dress or not. She doesn’t even have at least bearsy anymore so who else does she have to glamify??? 😱 Zoro?Mihawk? 😖 No way they’d let her!! 😤 But dw at the very least you know you’ll always look good 😘💋💗

Cooking with Perona! (THAT COULD BE THE NAME OF A TV SHOW AT THIS POINT HAHAHAH) but yes of course cooking is a sort of love language for her, so she’s always cooking you stuff!! Meals, snacks, desserts whatever! She makes them randomly but you’d better appreciate it!!

if you can’t cook she’d have no problem doing it for you, but you simply must appreciate it!! At least thank her verbally if your not gonna do something in return physically! Okay?

if you can, you two have lots of fun cooking each other meals. There has been many days where you make each other your favorite meals then sit down and eat it together all romantic-like. ☺️ Aaaand there’s also times you have little mini arguments as to who’s cooking who’s favorite food tonight.

“No! Sit down I’ve got it, I said!!”

“I’ll do it Perona don’t worry about it!”

“No way! I was gonna make your favorite tonight!”

”huh? No don’t do that, I was gonna make your favorite!”

“well just sit down and let me handle it will you?!” 😤

nothing too serious like I said, just you too being so sappy you argue about who’s gonna cook who’s favorite dinner 😂💗💗

y’all have girl sleepovers at mihawk’s ٩( ᐛ )و

i mean yeah where else but you get me. You two stay up and gossip about any and everything. She’s the gossip type of girl 💯 I’m not saying you are though, so if you aren’t she can talk about anything, she doesn’t mind :) you could always build a pillow fort, read books, paint each other’s nails/toenails and sing instead 💖

she def rants to you about zoro and mihawk being living, breathing headaches. Which, unless your a nonchalant girly- you probably understand. 😭 having alone time with each other is essential to keep the other sane. 😄

her affections are cooking and doing favors for you. She’s also quite protective/big sister like and will make sure your okay randomly throughout your day. She keeps your hair in place and buttons the buttons you forgot to button up. 💖💖 that type of big sister like <33 she may or may not complain a bit (not as much as with zoro) but she’ll do basically any (sane 😭) thing you ask of her. If your ill/injured she forces you to stay in bed as long as it takes until you’ve made a full recovery. I feel she’d have a lot of medical knowledge so that helps ;D

she’d be shy about it when your first getting into the relationship, but after a while..! when in private, I feel like she’d be very soft for cute little kisses! 😚 100% in private though- she doesn’t want any sour faces from zoro or mihawk (😑) she’d make this clear too because she like to be made fun of 😒

her kisses are really soft, so are her lips. She’d probably leave light lipstick stains all over your face. She’d accidentally make those little smooching sounds each time she kisses you. She’s embarrassed about it but you two laugh it off and continue smothering bunches of love all over the other’s features. She really loves kissing your cheeks—they’re so squishy and cute!! <3 and she looooves cute things 😊

Ending it there because if I ever do Perona’s kisses one day that’ll be a spoiler 😱

I ended up loving Perona much more than I thought I would when I started watching one piece 😭💗 not complaining tho !! 💋

you think you're a passenger princess? nah, you're a passenger survivor. these delusional ones that think you suck at driving and always make fun of you when you're behind the wheel, but the moment it's THEIR turn to drive, it's like y'all are in GTA. and you can't even call them out on it cause they actually think they're like an F1 driver and will not take ANY criticism.

ace. kid. LUFFY. buggy. roger. FRANKY.

nervous smile on their face whilst they're GRIPPING the car seat so freaking tight. listen close enough and you can hear the nervous chatter of their teeth. they don't have the heart to tell you to stop the car, but the moment you swerve a little too fast you best bet they're opening that car door and walking the rest of the way there.

chopper. CORAZON. vivi. bepo. ace.

absolutely does NOT trust you. you wouldn't even be allowed near the wheel, but if you somehow manage to convince them, they would force you to stop mid way and switch because there was no way they would let you even NEAR the highway. also type to act like a parent teaching their kid how to drive. every two seconds they go 'SLOW. SLOW DOWN. YOU'RE GONNA HIT INTO THE CAR INFRONT OF US', even when you're a good five meters behind the car. you both defs start screaming at each other and end up going 90 in a 40.

usopp. IZOU. crocodile. NAMI. sabo. iceberg. lucci.

the BEST person to drive with because they are patient and don't mind if you accidentally take a wrong turn. will give advice whilst driving like 'okay make sure you turn on your indicator'. if you get stressed out, the coax you to pull over on the side of the road and will help you calm down before encouraging you to drive again. pls they are literally the only people you can trust to get on the road with.

robin. LAW. mihawk. marco. rayleigh. jinbe.

will not hesitate to tell you that you suck ass but will help you drive. it's all good with this drive if you can take a couple of insults because you eventually do get better with driving if they're with you. you might get your feelings hurt a little though.

LAW. nami. rayleigh.

you're not driving, they are. the whole time you guys will be arguing with each other cause they have NO chill and will lean over the glove box to turn the wheel or honk the horn with absolutely no warning. absolutely the worst people to have as a passenger because 90% of the time you're gonna be late to your destination cause you got into an accident.

kid. DOFLAMINGO. shanks. crocodile. BOA. perona. LUFFY. ace.

they don't tell you that you suck at driving. even when you don't slow down for a speed bump and they end up getting a concussion. they're too preoccupied with your feelings and don't want to hurt you. so cute of them but this just means that you STAY sucking at driving. everyone gets concerned when you guys show up and they have a nasty bruise protruding on their forehead.

Watching Reality TV With You (Various One Piece Characters x Reader)

Characters: Zoro, Sanji, Trafalgar Law, Luffy, Perona + Mihawk, Nami, Kizaru/Borsalino, Eustass Kidd

A/n: Sorry I’m a huge fan of Real Housewives so take these silly headcanons!!!

Note: GN reader, the relationships with the character(s) and reader can be seen as platonic/romantic depending on what you prefer :) Mihawk + Perona’s relationship to each other is also not stated just for your personal preference. These are all just very silly things, don’t take this too seriously since it’s crack!

Zoro

“The hell? Why are you watching this crap? It’s not even real!”

He just sighs and grumbles about how this is dumb the whoooooole time.

Tends to sharpen his swords or try and nap while it’s on.

Until lowkey he starts peeking a bit like ‘did she just say that?’

Suddenly has opinions on it and tries to deny he’s interested but his eyes are GLUED once they start arguing and the suspenseful music is playing.

“Well, if I was her, I think I’d just kick them. Or maybe cut their car in half.”

Sanji

Opposite of Zoro. The man is probably a bigger fan than you and most likely is reading the gossip online.

It’s your weekly night hangout where he brings snacks and cozy blankets for you two to sit and enjoy while watching.

Gasps audibly and loudly.

He’s both the best and worst to talk about this with because he respects all women and he forgives them for everything, so they all get passes from him.

“Yes she may have talked badly about [name] and stole [name]’s house and maybe crashed a car. But we all do that. We need to show forgiveness. She’s having a tough time- her dress came in the wrong color.”

Law

Like Zoro, he’s very disturbed by the very prospect of reality tv.

But he’ll try. Let it be known he’s trying.

He doesn’t get interested in it but he does try to follow along so he can discuss it with you.

Not gonna lie though he’s the guy who’s focusing on their plastic surgery or illnesses.

Will literally pause the show just to examine what they may/may not have done and if the surgeon botched it up.

Imma just manifest this, he’s prolly a Terry Dubrow stan.

“Who’s your favorite Housewife so far?” “Terry.” “But… Terry isn’t-“ “It’s Terry.”

Unironically would drop a horrible quote from whichever show you’ve been watching and he’d say it so seriously that everyone’s jaw will drop and it takes him a sec for him to realize what he said.

Luffy

Imma keep this short for you- he ain’t looking.

He ain’t caring.

No thoughts.

He only cares when there’s a party and food is being served.

“Woooooah! Look at all that food!!!”

Doesn’t even recognize who is who and will just mindlessly wait for food to come on screen.

Perona + Mihawk

I’m putting this as a two for one they’re my everything <3

You and Perona are the ones who watch it lots. Perona does complain about how much they argue but she loooooves looking at the houses and clothes of the women. Makes comments about wanting to fly first class or visit the beautiful places they go to.

Mihawk is reading.

Perona is biased as hell and only defends the people that are wearing cute clothes. Otherwise? Shit list.

“Ugh! What is that dress?! It’s so hideous!” “Is that all you’re focusing on?” “I agree with (Y/n), Perona, she just had gotten into some relationship troubles with [name], so I think [name] is wrong.”

You and Perona are gasping and shocked that Mihawk 1) talked and 2) had an opinion on this???

Turns out the man had been listening the whole time (he’s quite the multitasker).

If Perona is the most biased viewer, Mihawk tries to remain objective and impartial. He's always listing out the nuances of a conversation.

“I think [name] is just jealous.” “Well, if we remember in season 4, episode 14-“

He’s a smart ass sometimes, but it’s okay, he’s our smart ass.

Perona is always enthusiastic about marathoning the shows again and watching it. She tends to do dress up requirements for watching it.

Nami

I’d hesitate to call Nami a “fan” of reality shows.

She’s aware of them, yes. Does she particularly care for it? Nah, not really.

They’re more background noise and eye candy for her.

She just likes putting them on and glancing every once in a while to gaze at the beautiful houses and trips.

“Oh that’s so expensive… imagine what you could do with all that!”

Sometimes has a fun game for herself to estimate the cost of an outfit, accessory, or house. It’s scary how accurate and detailed she can get with it.

Tends to mostly focus on fashion and get new ideas to steal- I mean, incorporate.

Doesn’t have strong opinions on the cast, but she isn’t too crazy about the louder members.

Kizaru/Borsalino

He’s heard of it, he thinks.

And, well, since you’re so into them, he’ll give it a watch.

“Oh my, these ladies are incredibly wealthy and beautiful.”

He’s not even ogling them he’s just amazed at the way they dress, behave, and/or decorate their spaces. It’s almost like being starstruck???

The guy who will pause the tv at certain scenes to point at random decorations or outfits and be like “darling, would you like that?”

He does get sad when they start to fight.

“Aw… I was just liking the party… why are they arguing now?”

His favorite cast member is your favorite one <3 he’s just a cheerleader like that, dear.

He could listen to you talk about it for hours if you wanted, and he’d be amazed by your knowledge.

“You know, if you’d like for me to have you be on a show like this, I could probably pull some strings!”

Kidd

1000000x worse than Zoro

I cannot recommend putting it on in front of him.

“The hell is this shit?! Turn it off!”

You refuse and now he’s stuck watching grown women argue over dumb things (in his mind).

Complains the ENTIIIIRRRRE time. Nonstop commenting and complaining.

Okay but he’s hooked after a bit, the drama is just too good.

But now he’s WORSE cuz he’s got OPINIONS and THEYRE ALL SHITTY!

This man is an instigator. I swear to god he’s just saying shit just to rile you up and be contrarian.

He's stanning the biggest menaces on the show.

You two will probably get into (very silly) arguments about some of the situations and people.

And unlike say, Sanji, who tries to defend a person, Eustass will just say you’re wrong and then add something unhinged to it.

“Naw you just don’t get it. If I was her, personally, I think I’d just burn their mansion down and then slash their tires.”

Robin:

She’d be reading when you asked her

She’ll nod but make two hands appear out of the wall to peel it for you

You can try to start a conversation but she’s too invested in the book to hear you

Vivi:

She’d be telling you about a meeting she had when you ask her if she could peel it for you

Without skipping a beat she’ll peel the orange as she keeps talking, handing you each slice piece by piece

Might accidentally eat a slice if she’s really into what she’s saying

Realized she ate one of your orange slices and apologizes profusely

Boa Hancock:

Ghastly Cuteness (Perona x fem!child!Reader)

A/N: First female reader, and the first one with a female character, too! Kinda struggled with this one ngl, had to look for all of Perona's interactions to kinda pull something together, and it's still kinda meh

Guys, drop by my ask box; it makes it easier for me to do keep track of what you guys. want to see more of it, it gives me inspiration (and motivation for more pieces and again, I want to get to know my audience!

Perona floated around the castle, bored.

Mihawk and Zoro were busy with their regular training, something that she obviously did not want to partake in, so she flew off in search of something else to entertain, spotting her cute daughter walking through the hallways in a similar fashion to their mother.

“Reader!”

“Mama! Look! I put on the new dress!” The small girl exclaimed, spinning around to showcase her dress, a wide grin on her young face

Perona looked down at the young girl examining the new dress.

“You look absolutely adorable; you could win hearts with looks like that.”

Perona said gently before scooping her daughter up and swinging her around a bit.

“Horo Horo Horo, you are so cute Reader!”

The girl squeals as her mother spins them around in the air, her squeals of surprise turning into childish laughs that echo around the halls.

Perona smiled as she enjoyed her adorable daughter’s laughter, the pair spinning for a few minutes longer.

Then she gently placed her daughter down after finishing spinning; Perona herself was smiling widely as she looked down at her daughter; it made her happy to see her so joyed.

Perona also laughed and pulled her daughter in for a gentle but loving embrace.

“I love you, dear.”

Perona said before kissing the top of her daughter’s head, making sure to be gentle with the young child while expressing her affection.

“Oh, Reader, never be like those two brutes! They are just rude and not cute at all! So ungrateful!”

The girl nodded, determined

“I won’t! I will grow up to be cute like Mama!

Perona laughed at her daughter’s determination to be cute like her.

“Aw… I know you will be the most adorable little girl in the world!”

Perona exclaimed lovingly before picking her daughter up and giving her another quick, playful spin before setting her down and ruffling her hair.

“Mmhm! We’re going to be the cutest in our kingdom!”

Perona laughed yet again at her child’s optimism; seeing her be so positive was rather endearing. She truly was the most adorable little ray of joy.

“We surely will, dear; I bet all our subjects will want to be as cute as us, but only you could ever rival me in cuteness.”

Reader beams at her mother’s compliment.

Perona laughs at the bright smile on her daughter’s face.

“Oh, how lucky I was to get a child as cute as you.”

Perona spoke again before picking her daughter up and pulling her in for another warm hug.

Reader giggles tightly hugging her mother, rubbing their cheeks together in an endearing mother-daughter moment.

After a while Reader backs slightly from Perona, still within her embrace but now staring at her.

“Mama, where is Grandpa Gecko?”

“Gecko… Oh, he’s somewhere else right now; that man said he wasn’t sure if he was still around, but do not worry, I know he’s someplace!”

Perona assured her daughter, not wanting her to worry as much as she tried to.

Perona began to think of something.

“You are already much cuter than your grandpa ever was.”

“I miss him.”

Perona frowned at that information before she hugged her daughter tightly.

“… I do too sweetie… I do too.””

Perona tried to be reassuring, but she herself could not help but miss her mentor as well.

The mood quickly shifts as Perona’s ghost starts nudging the small girl, making the girl giggle uncontrollably.

“Horo Horo Horo,” Perona laugPerona’sg with her daughter as she saw how much Reader was enjoying the little playtime “with her ghosts.”

Perona was really happy right now; she was really glad her daughter was enjoying herself and the situation as much as she hoped she would.

Shakky has been running her bar for over 40 years and knows her regulars well… and there’s one that really sparked her interest

She catches herself giving you drinks on the house, despite her bar being called Shakky’s Rip-off Bar

And you gladly accept them, taking every chance to spend some more time with her before you walk home alone, thinking about the lipstick marks on the cigarettes you shared with her

At night Shakky won’t be able to stop talking about you, telling Rayleigh every little detail she noticed about you that day, from the way your fingertips trace the shape of the glass to how her name sounds out of your mouth

Rayleigh listens and just smirks, patiently waiting until she’ll notice herself what he saw the moment you walked into the bar for the first time

I really like the idea! To make it a bit easier i made it modern days, i hope it's okay!

Warnings: pet names, specifically one Norwegian pet name(i hope there's no mistake but it's supposed to mean "my treasure"), I think I put some swear words

Self care and wine

Robin:

"love, you did a great job with my make-up"

your girlfriend looks at you, smiling softly while looking at herself in the mirror, today was your day off and Robin wanted to spend some time with you, since it doesn't happen that often that the both of you are home at the same time, so right now you guys were doing a bit of skin care and preparing yourself to go to the restaurant a bit later,

"thanks, i'm glad you like it!"

she places her hand on your cheek, making you turn your face towards her,

"i guess it is my turn now?"

you smile and sit straight, both of your glass of wine sat on the coffee table beside you, you take yours, drinking before the archeologist start applying make up on you,

"lets do something simple, okay? i am not as confident in my make-up skills as i was a few years ago"

you giggle, letting her apply eyeshadow on your eyelids

"maybe, but from what i know you're still quite good at that"

she smiles and start putting eyeliner on you, even tho she doesn't feel like her skills are as good, her liners are still as sharp as ever

"and now, the lips"

she smiles, applying it on you, and then taking your chin with her hand and kissing you

you giggle, looking at yourself in the mirror

"wow, it's so pretty, even if the lipstick is kinda smeared"

you kiss her cheek and get up, opening your closet to find a jacket that goes with your outfit,

"i'm glad i got to choose your outfit, you don't wear it often but you always look dashing in it"

she places her hands around your waist and kisses your nose, you smile at her returning the kiss,

"it's really refreshing to get to spend the day with you"

she takes your hand and kisses it

"i know, i'm really happy we got to spend the day together"

"so am i, it had been so long since we got time for ourselves, it feels like the beginning of dating all over again!"

your girlfriend giggles, hugging you

"let's get going, we wouldn't want to be late to the restaurant"

Nami:

"C'mooon, look at me!"

you look at Nami, your awesome girlfriend, who was now trying to apply this kind of spicy lipgloss on you

"i am looking at right now, do not put it on me please, you've already done it before"

she giggles, the lipgloss still in her hand

"yeah, but i forgot to take a video"

"and that's on you, i shouldn't have to deal with it again, plus we just put lip balm and face masks, i'm not making my skin die just after that"

she sigh in defeat and put the lipgloss back in her purse

"fine, you win, plus if i try to continue on fighting the food will be burnt"

she kisses your forehead and gets up,

"oh yeah! i had forgotten the food was already in the oven"

you both had the idea of having a fancy little dinner but when looking at prices, the red head decided quite quickly that making home food was fancy in it's own way, she made her way in the kitchen, taking the plate out of the oven

"oooh, it smells good!"

you look at the plate, it did seem way better than any restaurant you could've went to

"yeah, you got the wine"

you take it out from the cabinet

"yep, we'll have to thank Sanji for buying it for us"

"well, technically it was for my birthday so he doesn't really want to be thanked, i tried to and he just babbled about me not having to"

you chuckled, that did sound like Sanji, you pour the wine in the glasses and sit down, waiting for you girlfriend to do the same

"and here it is!"

she places the plate on the table and take place on her chair

"i'm happy we got to spend the day together, babe"

she smiles at you, taking your hand in hers and kissing your knuckles

"so am i, Min skatt"

Vivi:

"this color looks good on you!"

you smile, looking at your girlfriend who was putting lipstick on you

"well, you are the one choosing, of course it looks good, everything you choose looks good"

she giggles, kissing your cheek

"I am almost sure it looks good because it's a color that suits your skin color, that's all"

you take her hand and kiss it

"you're the one who chose it, so you knew what'll look good, i am right, you're the best!"

you both laugh, she quickly gets up, checking the closet to see what she could get you to wear, you look at her sweetly, waiting for her decision

"so? what am i gonna wear tonight, darling?"

Vivi smiles at you brightly and takes (any fancy outfit) and throw it on you

"this, it'll bring out your features, you'll look dashing!"

you smile, taking the clothes in your arms to go change in the bathroom

"you are very fashionable, love"

she smiles and thank you, you go change in the bathroom and once it's done you go back to your shared bedroom

"Wow, I- I guess i did chose something great for you, you look even better than what i thought"

you laugh, kissing her and placing your hand on her waist

"do I now? well, i'm glad you like it, your outfit is waiting for you in the bathroom"you kiss her cheek "I just got it for you i hope you'll like it"

she looks at you kinda shocked, but still goes to the bathroom, you take a sip of your glass of wine you had served yourself during the little makeover, when she comes back, she is wearing the dress you got her and damn you did chose something great for her

"I really like it, thank you love"

she places her arms around your neck and kisses you, you kiss her back and bring her closer to you

"Dear, not that i don't like kissing you, but we still have the reservation at the restaurant, we are going to be late"

"Oh yes fuck-"

you laugh, taking her hand and getting her outside

Perona:

"I hope you're not messing this up."

Your girlfriend says to you as you apply eyeliner,

"I learned from the best, I'm not going to mess it up"

She smiles a little, "learned from the best", she probably thought you were talking about her, and you were, but teasing her is always a good option.

"Mihawk would kill me if he found out I messed up, after all I did mess with him for 5 hours."

"HAH?"

You laugh as you look at your girlfriend's face, she looks dumbfounded.

"MIHAWK?? NOT ME???"

You laugh, kissing her on the cheek

"I'm just kidding, princess, I just wanted to tease you"

Her eyes widen and she lets out a gasp.

"How dare you tease me like that??? with this old man at the top of that"

she pouts looking away

"Sorry, love, I'll make it up to you by baking something tomorrow, if you want?"

She thinks for a second

"Okay, as long as you make my favorite."

You smile at her, kissing her lips

"Always, princess, although, don't insult Mihawk, he's still the one who offered us a bottle of wine, you know how he is with wine"

"yeah, whatever"

You continue to apply her makeup, once it's done, all that's left is to do her hair.

"Ok, love, what hairstyle shall we choose for tonight?"

"mhh, two low pigtails will do the trick I think, without undoing my curls please"

You giggle and sit behind her to do her hair.

"Yes, princess, anything for you, princess" you say in a mocking tone.

She rolls her eyes and lets you work on her hair, after 10 minutes you were able to finish her hair.

"So? What do you think?"

"It's good, thank you, love"

She kisses you on the cheek and takes your hand.

"Now we have to go or we'll be late, it's because of your teasing!"

"I'm pretty sure it's because of how picky you are about your outfits, but yeah"

you grin, kissing her

"Touche" with that you settled deeper into his arms and attempted to fall asleep before the excited voice echoing through the halls warned you that sleep or any attempt would be futile. Sitting up you gazed expectantly at the door waiting for your sweet daughter to come tumbling through the door. You giggled as you felt a tug as your arm gazing down towards Dracule who was desperately trying to urge you to slip back into the covers.

"If we act as if we're asleep she might not bother us." Desperately tugging at you to get down.

"You know I can't keep a straight face, especially around her." Against your words, dramatically sighing you slipped back into his embrace. "It's my only flaw." "You have no flaws" his voice low enough you could have missed it. Yet you didn't. With him you never did. Your face lit up happily as his grip tightened at the increasing noise. Desperately trying to hold in your laughter you decided to play along, for his sake.

"YOU HAVE NO ID-,"Faced with the embraced couple Perona paused "oh, you're asleep." Seemingly perplexed at what to do now she gently walked towards the desk careful not to wake you two up and sat down. "Guess I'll wait"

A low defeated 'oh come on' was heard from above you prompting you to try to suppress your erupting giggles. You failed. Coughing at the sheer amount of laughter you were letting out you continued to choke as you gazed at the two staring towards you in combined concern and confusion. "Are you ok." "y-y-y-yeah." Sighing Dracule gazed at his confused daughter. "Perona" "hm?" "three hours" "huh?" "give us three hours, after that (and only after that) we'll hear whatever you were going to say" "but-" He got up and gently nudged her out of the door as she whined,"but it's so interesting though. you'll wish I told you sooner.The news of the century. I mean the utter,shock, gul-" With that the door was closed as she was speaking. Sighing in relief he moved back to the bed "two hours." Groaning, as her head popped into the door. "three" "two and half" "it's basically three." "No it's not thirty minutes is a large amount of time it is-" before she started on her dramatic spiel he conceded. "Fine, two and a half" "deal!" with that she bounded off. crashing onto the bed he defeatedly groaned prompting you to giggle again. "Where does she get it from." "The stubbornness," He gazed towards you deadpanning when you said "well who else of course, you. Also the pettiness" Rolling his eyes in feigned annoyance he grabbed you out of the covers and wrapped himself around you. Sighing as he fell in place with you where he belonged. "three hours." He whispered. Turning to peck his jaw you countered.

Summary: Perona just was meant to drop off Zoro at Sabaody, but didn’t realize he had such a cute crewmate!!!

She hadn’t really heard of you, didn’t particularly pay attention when everything went down in Thriller Bark (since, duh, she was scared for her life!!!). She just knew the general Straw Hats and didn’t spend time thinking of them.

Sure, Zoro did mention your name once in a while, and his comments made you seem so… strange.

As the self-designated “handler” of Zoro, though, she dragged him off to Sabaody after two years of training at Kuraigana.

She yanked him around by his collar whenever he somehow managed to drift off the path they were going.

As they finally met up with the Straw Hats, she unceremoniously shoved him and sighed. “There! Take good care of this knucklehead, would you? And if he gives you a hard time, let me know.”

That was supposed to be it, supposed to be the final word until she heard a voice calling for them. She turned around and instantly gasped.

There you were, in your glory, innocently smiling and waving to the crew you had missed since two years ago.

To say Perona was shocked to see you was the understatement of the century. Her jaw was slack and her eyes were nearly bulging from their heads. She quickly yanked Zoro back to her and whispered, “is this (Y/n)?”

When he says yes, she immediately starts yelling at him. “THEY LOOK THIS CUTE AND YOU DIDN’T EVEN TELL ME? YOU HID THEM FROM ME?!”

Everyone raises a brow at her little tantrum while Zoro shrugs. “I mean… it’s just (Y/n)”, he says, unleashing Perona’s rage.

“You fool! You’re an idiot! I would’ve worn my better clothes!! I would’ve fixed myself up more!!! You did this to me on purpose!!!”

After she finishes yelling at him, she turns around and smiles brightly, as if she didn’t just rip Zoro a new one. She giggles and twirls her parasol cutely.

“You’re (Y/n), right?”

“Yes, Perona. That’s my name.”

She turns red and gasps. “Y-you know my name?! Oh my god, you know my name already!”

She can’t handle it, covering her cheeks with a girly smile as she is floating and squealing.

“You know, why don’t you ditch these losers and come with me? Kuraigana has plenty of rooms, and I’m a verrrrry good cook.”

“I’d love to, Perona, but I have to be with my crew,” you apologize. She pouts a bit. “But I think we can write or come visit once in a while.”

Her heart races as her smile appears back on her face. “You will? You really will?”

Well, now you just gave her the golden ticket. She wants to write to you or call you on her Den-Den Mushi almost every day.

She talks about you dreamily to all the zombies and mandarills and to anyone who will listen. Mihawk practically knows your life story at this point.

Perona fantastically discusses throwing a wedding and having Moria and Mihawk walk her down the aisle as her fathers (Mihawk proceeds to think about proper wedding attire for himself).

She tries to go through the newspaper to see if there’s any interesting information about you or to see your latest bounty poster and hang it on her wall.

She’s a lovestruck girl, a bit morbid and twisted, but really, she’s got a big heart and is eager to see you again. She likes to daydream about what you two would do together.

Day 3 of Fluffvember 2023 Gender & race neutral reader Requested by @wurm-food

“What about this?” you suggested, showing off a costume in the shop.

“Hmmm,” Perona pondered, looking at the outfit. “No.”

You wanted to roll your eyes, but restrained yourself. You knew how much Perona enjoyed Halloween, and you wanted to put in the effort for her; with her. She had insisted on matching costumes and you had not been able to refuse. However, you could not seem to agree on one.

You did not want to dress up as a Horo, and she agreed, because she would not have been wearing a costume.

Vampires, or vampire and vampire hunter did not make your cut either.

Sorcerers were just not your style, and any combination of superhero and love interest just did not vibe with you.

You were not sure what your loved one was looking for, however. So you showed her whatever piqued your interest and hoped for the best.

Sifting through the outfits, Perona moved on to another room in the shop. After a few minutes, she called out for you. Not waiting, you joined her and found your girlfriend holding out two costumes, a wicked look in her eyes. Just from that look, you knew it was useless to argue, her mind was set. And you would be lying if you said you did not like her pick.

you wouldn’t call yourself superstitious. sure, you had your own reservations, like knocking on wood or not opening umbrellas inside. very ordinary things. but ever since you began dating perona, you’ve adopted some of her uncommon beliefs.

it started with her giving you small trinkets, like shimmering rose quartz or polished lapis lazuli. crystals weren’t something you were interested in, but despite your skepticism, you accepted her gift. now you had a jewelry box to store all of them (to this day perona still gives you more), and you treasured each of them deeply.

now perona was quite excited for tonight, catching you a week in advance in order to make plans for the coming week. apparently, the ‘pink moon’ was set to rise in april, and the two of you absolutely had to watch it.

“is there anything special about this moon?” you had asked, wondering if it involved some new ritual she had planned.

perona huffed, sticking her bottom lip out in a pout, “no, not this time. but it’s pink, so we have to watch it!”

and so here you were, letting your girlfriend paint your nails a soft shade of pink. she hummed a tune as she brushed back and forth, applying the coat evenly. the two of you had spent the last few hours passing the time playing games and telling stories, waiting for the clock to strike twelve. and now, only ten minutes remained, making perona rather giddy.

“a pink moon! can you believe it? pink! It’s gonna be pink!” she shrieked, capping the nail polish.

you happily watched your cute witch dance around her room, dressed in her favorite pair of pink pajamas. pink seemed to be the theme of tonight, as all the food her father had brought you had been some shade of the color. pink lemonade, pink macarons, and when you mentioned to perona that you required food of actual substance, she brought you up shrimp, complete with pink cocktail sauce.

“i’m glad you’re excited, sweetie,” you chuckled, eating another piece of shrimp.

perona plopped down on her throne of throw pillows and stuffed animals, raising her arms in a desperate bid to make you join her. you sighed, setting your seafood on a nearby table and laying down beside her, pulling her into your embrace.

she happily snuggled into your chest, staring out her bay window and waiting for the clouds to disperse. You knew your girlfriend could get elated rather easily, and it seemed this moon was no exception. But her bouncing curls and adorable fashion sense had you hooked the moment you met her, and if she decided she wanted to spend the next five hours waiting for the moon to show up, you’d wait right beside her.

suddenly, your thoughts were interrupted by the resounding clock striking twelve. Perona shot up, leaping to her bay window and gazing into the inky sky.

“what the hell? that’s supposed to be pink?” she barked, glaring at the pathetically ‘pink’ moon.

sure enough, when you came next to her, you could see the so-called ‘pink moon.’ it came off as more of a glow than anything, a rather disappointing sight for the queen of pink herself.

“i can’t believe we stayed up all night for this stupid moon!” perona pouted, gloomily crossing her arms.

you gently stroked her back, “it’s not all bad,” you reassured, “we got to spend time together, and that was fun, wasn’t it?”

perona leaned into your touch, letting you comfort her. “i guess,” she huffed, her bottom lip still stuck out in classic perona fashion.

smiling, you pulled her closer, the two of you crashing back down into the pillows. despite perona’s disappointment with how the night went, you were sure you could bring her back up from her pit of despair.

“come on, pumpkin. didn’t you say you had a new dress you wanted to show me?” you offered, giving her a soothing smile.

instantly, perona perked up, jumping out of your hold and running into her closet. “mihawk bought it for me while he was in spain! it’s so pretty, and it’s made of—”

you giggled at her enthusiasm, watching as she rifled through her enormous closet. it seemed tonight wouldn’t be a total bust after all, not when you could convince perona to do a fashion show. maybe she’ll even try to turn you into her model.

stomping out in her classic ruby red platforms, perona gave you a twirl, showing off her flouncy pink-and-red dress. it was really something only she could pull off, complimenting the gown with her own pink curls. you clapped excitedly at her entrance, grinning at her fabulous display.

the next two hours were a blast as you and perona tried on the various items inside her bursting closet. some pieces were extravagant while others looked like they belonged in a funeral home for hello kitty. but that’s what made perona, well, perona. that and her interest in the occult. she really was a dichotomy.

once the clock struck two, you were angrily told to go to sleep by her green-haired brother, slamming the door as he left. you giggled with perona, mocking his grumpy attitude and mossy hair. but he did have a point, and it was rather late.

groaning, perona dragged you off to her closet once again, letting you pick out your own pair of pajamas from her vast collection. after you were dressed, she led you to her canopy bed, dramatically closing the curtains once you were settled. she grabbed onto you like a koala, treating you more like a stuffed animal than her beloved partner.

but, like everything perona did, you found it endearing. every quirk she had, every interest and obsession you found charming, it’s what attracted you to her, after all. you looked forward to more nights like this, creating new memories with her each step of the way.
