Wakanda Forever: 1 year anniversary personal note

I didn't have the slightest clue of how this movie will change my life. Sure, when I saw the trailer I got goosebumps. I shared it on my social media saying this is a perfect trailer, this movie is gonna be amazing. How amazing, I didn't know.

Grief, loss, love, frustration, anger, revenge, hope, this movie captures everything. The way the emotion of grief and coping with it progresses through this movie is cathartic. The way it projects women in the lead is empowering.

And then it gave us a nation below the land as powerful as the one worthy of veneration above it. So beautiful, I'll never forget the first time I saw it. I still get chills when I listen to con la brisa.

Then it gave us Namor, a man wrapped up in mystery with the depth of an ocean and fire like the sun. And it finally gave us Tenoch, shining at his brightest ever. It made me think about the movie and Wakanda and Talokan for days, and obviously about Namor and Tenoch! It made me learn more about this man, his heritage, culture and his beautiful country which happens to be right across the border. I learnt their language, I learnt more about the faces that I see in passing almost everyday, that belong to his country. I learnt more about their politics, struggles. Learnt what it is to be a fan of a poc and defend him. Learnt ways radfem and colorism, racism and privilege have the potential to destroy someone. Learnt it is still possible to rise in the midst of these challenges and retain that hope. And most importantly, met a group of the smartest and kindest people. I may not know your names and faces, just like you don't know mine, but we know each other's hearts. How powerful is that!

I might be less active here these days as my career takes a front seat on life right now, but I'll always be a part of this community.

May the legacy of Chadwick carry on forever. Wakanda Forever! Likik Talokan!

What do I write? Almost anything. I seem to have a passion for dark romance and general dark fiction. I like writing about villians. I try and specialize in writing reader inserts that don't include y/n and that hopefully feel natural enough for the reader to enjoy. Types of tales: Headcanons: Lists of ideas and thoughts about a certain character and a certain topic. Drabbles: A short fragment of a tale, or fragments blended together. Imagines: Combination of headcanon and drabble. One-shot: A longer story that isn't just a fragment, but is posted as one piece. Multichapter: A story containing several chapters. I am infamously bad at finishing them, but I do make attempts.

Genres: I tend to drift between dark & angst, and humor and fluff. I suppose I would want to give everything a go. What I won't write. Try me. I will probably discover more things as time passes. But I won't write underage smut and about miscarriages. Requests/Prompts Feel free to send in requests and prompts whenever my ask is open for requests. I might take a while before answering or filling them. If for whatever reason I (have to) decline to create a fill, I will try and let you know asap.

I am doing this all in my spare time (which is very sparse) and am writing mostly for my own enjoyment. Like most (fan)fiction writers, I share my works for that very small percentage that has been hoping for one of these stories to appear online. I am not doing this for the likes/reblogs/hits (though they do help, just saying 👀 ).

💙Important Note💙

Hello everyone! This has been a bit of a hectic day for me. Tbh I feel like the start of this year has been hectic for me. That is why I haven’t been writing and I feel like I’m ready to explain what has been happening in my personal life. In January I believe is when they found a lump in my mom’s breast which did turn out to be cancer but it wasn’t spreading and all they needed to do was surgery which she got a couple of weeks ago which is why I haven’t had time to write or motivation to write since I’ve been spending most of my time with my mom helping her and just being there for her during this difficult time for her. I’ve been pausing on writing until we knew all she needed was just radiation and she will be fine to go back to work next week and the cancer is gone. Today we got the final word that she is fine and she just needs radiation not chemo! I just haven’t been completely comfortable sharing it until we knew she will be completely fine and she will be making a great recovery! Since my mom will be returning to work next week that’s when I’ll most likely be back to writing! Sorry for the long waits and the promising I’ve just had so much going on in my head between my mom having surgery, my dad continuing his recovery from his health issues that started last year and also my health which was having an impact on me as well! I am very thankful for you all be so patient with me!

So just a heads up (because I've gotten a whole lot of new followers lately, hello! 👋🏾) that I'm likely going to be disappearing for a bit soon. I've got a fic I need to write for the Forgotten Years Series, and it's not even half-finished yet. I wanted to post it by next Monday but that is so not going to happen.

And I don't know what is is about me, but I can't split my focus well between writing metas and writing fiction. So I know I'm going to have to go quiet on the meta front while I'm working to write and finish my next fic. But I'm sure I won't be radio silent for too long (not like when I was first writing Now or Neverland at least). The only other time I was MIA was when I was having some serious health issues at the end of the year, but I'm feeling much better regarding that as well for now too.

But I don't want to disappear again for a stretch without giving everyone a heads-up this time. Especially since, again, I've gotten so many new followers recently. (Hi! 😊)

Edit Update (02/16/24): Given the wank going on in fandom right now, I've turned all asks off for a bit. I've got more writing to do this weekend, and I don't want to get too distracted on here right now. I'll turn it back on again soon.

I feel sick again why do I always do this I can’t physically handle someone losing interest in what I like it’s bad I think I need help atp I just kind of hate it here but I’m stuck and I feel like I can’t do anything about it

I hate feeling PHYSICALLY shitty which is out of my control i would think when someone else posts something they want and not what the algorithm or their followers want, I’m a nice person I promise on that but it’s really difficult for me to take in anything different than what I’m used to when it gives me heart palpitations, heart burn, and small stomach sicknesses like I’m about to throw up. I want to be a normal person and technically yes I am but I’m so sensitive and I can’t handle a lot of stupid small things that shouldn’t affect me at all whatsoever.

Maybe it’s overstimulation. I don’t know.

Lucemond - birthday calculation [note]

Heads-Up! This is a very, very rough calculation of Aemond’s and Luke’s birthdays, based on information in Fire & Blood. This is a pure fan-theory, NOT something Canon! Do NOT take if for a fact, please! It’s a personal note I need for my Fics, because my brain won’t let me rest. Maybe this is old news for some, but well. It’s just a personal note, so who cares.

The starting point of the calculation is the death of King Visery I. He died “on the third day of the third moon in 129 A.C.” - March 3rd 129.

• Aemond: He was born in 110 A.C. and when his father died, he was “ninteen years old”. Which means his birthday must be in January or February. Since F&B does not state his birth to be “in the early days of the year”, nor that he had his nameday right before the King’s death, it is save to assume he was born mid January to mid February (Jan. 15th - Feb. 10th). For funny reasons, I personally think February would be nice; the second month of the year, for the second born son.

• Lucerys: It is stated that he was born “late in the year 115 A.C.”. Jace was born “in the last days of 114 A.C.”, so it is save to assume Luke was born in November, perhaps early December.

• Zodiac: I do not think these exist in the world of ASOIAF, but it’s fun, so I will include it here. If Aemond was born during my calculated time, he would either be a Capricornus or an Aquarius, tho I think Aquarius is more likely, but that’s just my personal idea. Fun Fact: Aquarius is an Air-Type element, hehe. Luke could either be a Scorpio (Water; Driftmark, hello?) or Sagittarius (Fire; it needs “air” to keep burning and I... Will just leave I guess).

<3 Wow, since I've been writing fanfics for years, I have so many to choose from. But let me stick to my reader-insert-focused darker fics that I post on this account.

1:

The Man Who Claimed To Be Yours – Fandom: Joker 2019, Pairing: Arthur Fleck/Joker x (Female) Reader. Explicit with lots of warnings. By far my proudest (and smuttiest?) work.

By far a number one position. Not only do you people seem to love it, I have received so many messages of readers going back to the story for the umpteenth time to reread it all. (And you have no diea how those little messages strengthened me when my health abandoned me). You devour it. And even I have been rereading my own tale several times and enjoyed it. So yes, I definitely want to write an ending to it. I also have plans to have the full story out before Joker 2 comes out.

Fun fact: The entire fic was inspired by the gif I added above)

2:

Pine Cone Child – Fandom: Enola Holmes, Pairing: Enola Holmes/Linthorn (one-sided & Noncon), Enola Holmes & Sherlock Holmes. Explicit with lots of warnings.

I got a big thrill sending these chapters out into the world and found myself on a roll with this fic. The idea came with one scene, of a boy meeting his biological father, and realizing that he had a far more gritty past than he always had assumed. But to get to that chapter, I had to write many more. In the end, that chapter was never posted online. And the chapters I had finished about Enola and her mother visiting Linthorn’s grave and the chapter that was to follow after got lost when my laptop crashed. I was also too ill and too tired to write, so it never reached its end. I am not sure if I will ever finish this one. I think, it is pretty okay as it is. Even if I never got to the ending the whole idea sprouted from in the first placed. For now, it is on hold.

3. Removed Fics/Or old account fics:

The first multi-chapter fic became a success, many years ago. I will not name the title, the quality is shite compared to what I write now (still shite, but different shite). One of the first fandoms I wrote fanfiction in was Inu Yasha. The much-explored ‘Inu Yasha scampers off with Kikyo and Kagome finds comfort in Sesshoumaru’s arms’ was still new, there were about 20 fics or so about this pairing in English. The encouragement I received made me want to keep posting my work. I still receive reviews for these fics.  

4. A deleted Sweeney Todd Smut fic, featuring Sweeney Todd x Lovett’s daughter. I might reupload this one day, perhaps as a reader insert.

But because I want to tag a tale: Have you tried reading my dark romance (aka, Reader let yourself be kidnapped by a slasher guy)  The Chance to Make A Change. Fandom: The Black Phone. Pairing: Albert Shaw ( The Grabber ) x (f) Reader. Explicit. Loads of warnings.

His – Fandom: Moon Knight, Pairing: Dr. Arthur Harrow x (f) Reader. Mature with warnings.

I am surprised by how much feedback and likes I received on this, even if the numbers of hits and kudos on AO3 are low. But for the short tale it is, I like it. Because it shows a budding relationship over time, cut into short chapters, and has a little evil twist at the end of it. Also, I could totally live with this happening to me, if I were the reader.

No Family Man – Fandom: Joker 2019, Pairing: Arthur Fleck/Joker x (afab) Reader. Mature with warnings.

Another one of my fics I love to return to, and that was generally received well. It started as two imagines which I then combined. It has lots of personal experience elements in it that to me, make it all the more special. What they are, I will leave for you to guess.

I would love to finish the Princess and the Clown - Joker 2019 fanfic of Arthur Fleck/Joker x Reader I once started. Perhaps rewrite it a little. Same for my Benvolio x Mercutio Hanahaki Story (you Shakespearean lovers might know me of my many Tybalt x Mercutio and Mercutio x basically anyone fics).

I have a few Star Wars Reader Inserts that were never finished but tickle my fancy. Mostly Reader x Kylo Ren or Reader x Hux (or both lol).

By far most of my proudest fanfics have been personal gifts to friends. It is how I started writing when in High School, and I still gift fics for people's birthdays. I especially like the Sherlock Holmes range I did for several friends, in which my friends always ended up being the evil masterminds who outsmarted Sherlock and Watson. But also, because I had illustrations to go along with these fics. <3

But first, I need to finish a whole list of unfinished works: starting with a Crimson Peak inspired modern reader au that has been pending for over 2 years, as well as the Joker fic mentioned on number one. Then there's a summery romantic Arthur Harrow x Reader tale I want to gift to someone on here, and a Harrow Patient x Reader fic that wants to be written in between.

ARGH!

Not to mention the many Arthur Fleck x Reader prompts I have pending. I LOVE YOU, KEEP SENDING ME STUFF <3
