My old dog Tibby isnt doing so good the past couple days, he’s at the vet now but I’m so worried he’s going to be have be put down (hes at the vet now) so I wanted to share some of the pictures I have of him here, he’s the happiest old man you’ve ever seen~

When I eventually have kids I'm going to have indoor pets and my kid won't go through the heartbreak that I did losing so many pets
You know how with some pets, they're like.. extra special? They're your sidekick and your bestfriend and your child. It's a click that's much stronger than your connection with other pets, even if you love them very very very very much.
And for years as a kid, bc I was a stupid little kid, I thought that it was my fault that my cat died.
If he were an indoor cat, he'd still be alive today, maybe! His mom just passed last year, at 19 years old.

Getting to know you

1. were you named after anyone? My mum told me I was named after a girl she had a 'fascination' with at school. Take from that what you will...
2. when was the last time you cried? Yesterday. It's hard to accept that sometimes the things you love, really don't love you and are not good for you.
3. do you have kids? Yes, I'm a single parent to a 10 year old enby kiddo who makes me so proud with their bravery and kindness every day, and a 5 year old little boy who is like sunshine on a cloudy day - they both make the world a much better place.
4. what sports do you play/have you played? I actively and passionately avoid sports of all kinds, and am not sorry about it. I do go wild swimming in the ocean, but not sure if that counts as its mostly me floating on my back and looking up at the sky going "wow the world is pretty."
5. do you use sarcasm? A little, and only with good friends or family.
6. what's the first thing you notice about people? Whether they are open, friendly, good vibes. Can usually tell fairly quickly whether I will get on with them or not.
7. what's your eye color? Hazel - can look gold or green or honey brown depending on the light.
8. scary movies or happy endings? Happy endings. I've been living a scary movie for most of my life, so I always try to find the happy where I can!
9. any talents? Writing? Maybe? I can sing a little, draw a little. My best friend says my main talent is giving the best hugs in the world.
10. where were you born? London, England.
11. what are your hobbies? Writing, wild swimming, countryside walks, star gazing, reading, cooking, spending time with friends and family, making memories with my kiddos.
12. do you have any pets? A failed foster pup called Rosie, who is a tiny fluffy black bundle of enthusiasm and cuddles; and a rescue cat called Tibby who loves you on her own terms. They cuddle. It's cute.
13. how tall are you? I'm 5'3" - a shortie!
14. favorite subject in school? Art. Closely followed by English Lit.
15. dream job? I'm currently a primary school teacher (shock! horror!), but I'd love to make writing and being an author my full-time job. If the NWN application goes well, this could become a reality - but even if it doesn't, I'm not going to stop writing and trying to make my dreams happen. Having cancer taught me that there's never a good time or perfect time, you're never too young or too old for the things you want - just grab life, and shake all the magic out.

Meet Mr. Tiggy. We also calling him Toby or Tobs!
This incredibly sweet boy Mr Tiggy was rescued 4/1/2024. He was abandoned and did not know how to stay out of streets! He almost got killed by a car! He is a very trusting silly goose. Even after we trapped him, he was rubbing on us and giving us headbonks.
Mr. Tiggy was so well behaved having his first bath (we always bath cats when they come in off the streets). He was a trooper while he was dewormed, treated for fleas, vaccinated, microchipped and even didn't fuss having his nails trimmed. He came home from being neutered and couldn't wait to cuddle up my daughter's lap. Of course, she immediately begged to keep him, but as rescuers we already have a full house. However, it does speak volumes to what an amazing young cat he is. He lets you rub his belly, head bonks, and his paws don't stop making dough. He is one happy fella to be off the streets and thus will make a very appreciative pet. Rescues really do!!! If you are looking for a true companion, Tobs is your cat. He also would be good with another young cat as he is sit more than a teen himself.

hahaha yeah ofc!!
honestly i still need to like. actually finish series 2 (cannot call it kollok because kollok 1991 is always just kollok in my heart) i got maybe three episodes in because personally I wasn't enjoying the direction they went with it. i think it would've been better as an independent series, it just didn't have the heart and soul kollok 1991 had.
okay. i was like. i don't need to go on a rant....but i want to >:)
one of the things I liked about kollok 1991 was how messy it was, it was messy and fun and dark at the same time, there was a lot of cool stuff about it, and it felt like watching someone's beloved homegame with their unhinged dm, where not everything got wrapped up neatly and you never quite knew what was going to happen next.
the second series felt to clean to me, everything was put together, very streamline, very neat. it didn't have the edges or the humor 1991 had that was integral to [of course], my personal enjoyment of it. i feel like the ascended in general felt flat to me as well, like they were trying so hard to get us invested and interested in them that they wrapped back around to myself feeling like i didn't know them at all.
i think they tried really hard to do a little bit of everything, trying to let old fans see the legacy cast and their story, bring in a new audience with the ascended and the new story. it just all felt like? too much? like by catering to everyone and anyone they catered to no one. I remember zac saying that he wanted the second series to be something that anyone who'd never heard of kollok before could pick up and start watching, but to me that was so incredibly flawed. 1991 by its nature is a complex story, even if you created something new in the universe, the deeper lore and characters are still there, especially with how it was written.
my only pet peeve with zac's gaming style is that it's clear he almost always bites off more than he can chew, and when he needs to reconcile what he's bitten off, he almost always just spits it out (retcons) rather than just tries to swallow it (improvise, shift). he has extremely rich backstories and background written, and he likes to drop hints and ideas, but he never reveals any answers that are truly satisfying. (which maybe I missed because i didn't watch the second series). he likes to tease his audience, but never truly satisfy, in my opinion the most satisfying moments almost always came from the players.
imo legacy and the ascended should've been two different shows. they could've had the same format, they even could've existed in the same universe! [BIG BIG, "this is coming from someone who watched only like the first few episodes"], they could've just broken them up into separate shows at separate times. they could've given the old fans a satisfying ending, and given the new fans something to chew on with the ascended.
in my like. dream scenario, legacy's timeline instead takes place in 2002. (i've mentioned how i think a "kollok 2002" would be really cool, another palindrome year, most of the cast would be 11 years older, and in their late twenties/early thirties) they could still have mallory having gone into the black rock, tibby wracked with guilt, and the others sort of far flung. i think they could've pulled the same stuff and gotten a good result!! they could've even kept the timeline!! the ascended would rebel shortly after, the could've even done a series about that, which would've felt very similar, and ended where the show eventually got to, with the disillusioned ascended trying to figure out what the fuck they were going to do
idk! just my ten cents on it. sorry for taking your message and doing a lil rant lmao hope you don't mind
maybe i should do a sweet kollok rewatch in the future soon....like 1991 is pretty long but maybe i could swing it again >:)

Hi darling! Hey, one fic writer to another, i have this headcanon which i'm kind of trying to get other fic writers on board it's lowkey one of the cutest thing i came up with and i want your opinion
Back when they were kids Gretchen and Regina were super close. Like closer than regina was with Janis. They spent a lot of time together and trusted one another fully, some might even say they had kindergarten love and that's why Gretchen is a plastic. Back in middle school Regina and Gretchen adopted a pet hamster and coparented it (like shared custody each one had days to be with the hamster at their place). The hamster was called Tiberius which is a really out of pocket name but Gretchen loved it so regina rolled with it.
- Regina only called the hamster Tibby instead of Tiberius
- Regina would always give major death glares at anyone who questioned the name because she didn't want anyone making Gretchen feel like she picked a lame name for their pet
- Once Regina began to spend more time with Janis, Gretchen began to text regina reminders about coming to spend time with Tibby.
- OnceTiberius died Gretchen started to have a bunch of other hamsters with the same name, like Tibby II, Tibby III etc as that comforts her now that she isn't as close to Regina anymore. She currently has her 4th pet hamster by the time of the movie.

I really like the idea that when Janis becomes better friends with Regina that Gretchen tries to use him as a way to see her more it's so sad and sweet.

The Quandum Quandry: Harry and Draco's Month of Mayhem by @violetclarity (E // 34K)
What a fun fic! I'm a sucker for professors!Drarry, and this just took that trope and elevated it to new heights. The plot is sweet and funny, lots of meddling friends (and Minerva, bless), magical creatures, and little nods from the author that make you feel a bit like you're in on an inside joke.
"He doesn’t like that he’s been assigned to potion-making duty with Harry at all. It feels so juvenile, like they’re serving detention. Combined with the recent resurgence of his feelings for Harry, he thinks he might as well be trapped in one of his fifth-year fantasies, late at night in an empty classroom where loathing can easily boil over into lust."
It's your classic "we tried this and it didn't work and now years later we're both still trying to pretend we're not hung up on it" - the alternating POV is perfect for this. I also totally fell in love with Tibby and Mephistopheles, Harry and Draco's pet Quandrums who are so well fleshed out and make for the perfect little characters. The pay-off in the end is sweet; I definitely left this fic with a smile on my face. Highly recommend!!!
