In an AU where everything is the same except Tony survived the snap in Endgame, MJ and Ned are both very aware that something is up with their memories. Huge, overlapping chunks of their lives are gone. And Spider-Man has something to do with it.

The only public figure Spider-Man has ever been closely associated with is Tony Stark. In need of answers, and not the types to just let something like this go, the kids hack and heist their way somehow onto Tony Stark's secret lake house property. It's weird that no alarms go off when they get close, but they manage it. They're about to knock, when Tony Stark, savior of the universe, opens the door.

He does not look great. Aside from the general post-battle healing and the fact that they have literally caught him at home, there's just something...off. It doesn't take long for them to realize that it's the same thing that's off with them, too.

Something important has been taken from all of their lives. Someone.

After Tony calms down from his initial freak-out, MJ and Ned (though mostly MJ) manage to convince him pretty quickly. The fact that FRIDAY never alarmed because they're in her system already is a huge point to their side.

And, the fact that he agrees with them. He survived the battle, everything should be fine. But something is so, very wrong. He's grieving someone he doesn't even know.

So, a new team is born. A trio united to find their shared missing person, the eraser mark in their memories none of them can bear to lose, all for different reasons.

They don't have much to go on, but Tony agrees with them on one thing: Spider-Man is involved somehow. And that's a good place to start.

okay so i’m kinda wondering if i should bring wolverine into the biker au because of the fire that destroys Peter’s entire apartment complex (i’ll explain later) and so he needs a place that’s relatively safe enough for Miles to stay, and is like “well the x-mansion is still a thing right?” because like. there ARE heroes and stuff in the world, miles and peter just aren’t them. but, i also dont see how exactly this is a good thing besides “safe enough i guess, he can also train his powers there” because remember Miles has like. FRESH trauma from his time with Aaron and now the fire and add already severe attachment issues onto that?? yeah no Peter actually wants to keep an eye on him, and work with him through all that, BUT. he’s homeless. he has no plan. May’s dead. so like Peter really isn’t able to care for Miles in a way he needs to (Miles’s arm is broken so add that to the list of stuff Peter can’t help with) and doesn’t know anyone else who can help and doesn’t want to let the authorities catch him, so x-mansion is his only real idea for Miles right now actually wait. problem solved i’ll just let them stay at a hotel or motel for a while . until Peter can find a more permanent place for them to stay. Maybe i’ll even let Matt save the day but that means i’d have to reveal his face to them… hm much to think about

#not tagging #i guess i could bring harry or flash into this? because their stories are the same except harry and peter are more distant #bc of may’s passing being super early (peter was 19) and peter pushing everyone away #flash brute forced his way back into peter’s life and harry is just. watching from a distance (foreshadowing)#but yeah i guess i could bring flash into this because he’s pretty poor and has been close to homelessness so he can help in. ways #and harry has money. he could help with a new apartment and rent #and he’s also lost a parent and is losing his father in a sense so he and peter do eventually realize this and are almost-friends again #ex-friends becoming your friends again is my SHIT like i’d never do it but it’s sooo painful and good #sorry for rambling in the tags.
