* 𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐍𝐘𝐌𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐀𝐒𝐊𝐄𝐃 : where can we find info on your marauders and next gen side groups?

by joining nox and following the discord links to each rp from there ! lumos ( the marauders verse ) had a blog, but both of them being run from their discord groups just made more sense since i don’t run them on my own like i do nox - it’s easier for the respective councils to keep on top of things and really the only downside has been not having a traditional blogroll, but that’s fine. neither are required of you by being in nox, but to join & stay within them, you have to be a member - if you leave the main group, you forfeit the others too.

both are fully influenced by the existing nox timeline, lumos probably moreso. our marauders verse takes place in 1994. it’s three years to the end of the war & the conflict between the death eaters and the order is escalating everyday. it’s really a very quintessential group for the era but for the change in the time period ( done so that it could feel like an actual prequel to nox, even if it’s au in all its own ways ) and the fact that everyone has been very supportive of my degenerate peter pettigrew thoughts and feelings, to date.

the next gen verse is, of course, newer and less strongly established, but it’s also the one most au from the universe, since it’s specifically built from nox canon and diverts from the end of our s1 plot. in aurora, the prophecy that drove our first season was never spoken and the light side triumphed over bellatrix lestrange early on, during our second department of mysteries battle. every change from here on out was made to ensure that no one gets too comfortable with our next gen verse existing, in the first place - i don’t want aurora to take away from the fact that the nox plot is still ongoing, and characters that have kids over there may still die, here. just to rapidfire rattle off some changes, over there : kingsley shacklebolt & the diggory sibling died in our season 1 finale, there was never a resurrection ( no regulus, harry or voldemort ), the de’s were rounded up and sent to azkaban with many including bellatrix later executed, anton karkaroff never became minister, sybill trelawney still died ( but of a heart attack, not murder ), the chudley cannons won the quidditch cup instead of the holyhead harpies, etc, etc.

it’s now 2049, and rather than an rp dealing with the fallout of a war that never came, in aurora, the plot is a murder mystery with inspiration taken from one of us is lying by karen mcmanus, if we were villains by ml rio and twin peaks - willa longbottom, eldest daughter of neville & his oc wife, has been found dead beneath a dark mark and anyone could have done it. there are several known connections ( all with possible motives ) and five that can only come out through rp, all of which will build a clearer picture of who willa was and why she was murdered. i generally hate next gen verses, so it’s already been so fun to build one where no canon kids exist and no pre-conceived ideas of how those kids act do, either - it’s all STEEPED in nox canon, between the timeline we’ve worked on to flesh out the last twenty odd years and the fact i get to play cordelia malfoy, third born of draco malfoy & ginny weasley.

so there u go ! that’s what i can say about both, and there’s still way more i couldn’t touch on - most especially in regards to how big and sexy everyone’s brains have been in their casting and characterisation of marauders era characters and how absolutely bonkers the aurora world is, already - but you’ll have to join us to get in on all that !

Peter is allergic and terrified of cats. The Potters’ cat and Peter used to tolerate each other and give the other as much space as they needed, but as soon as Peter began betraying The Potters, the cat hisses and attacks Peter but Lily and James can’t understand why.

What a Wonderful Surprise

The war was hard on them all, it was fear-filled and isolating, suffocating them, pressing on every breath. The McKinnon family were finding it particularly tough, locked up in their home under the protection wards. Marlene found it particularly difficult, her partner Dorcas was away a lot of the time, on missions. Most of Marlene’s other friend’s also locked away in hiding. Marlene would spend most nights awake, sitting downstairs whilst her family slept. Hoping that her girlfriend would return home sooner than expected, hoping for any morsel of information that her friends were okay.

Tonight Marlene sat, head back on her couch, wand discarded next to her feet at the foot of the couch. Exhausted of just waiting for things to happen. All she wanted was Dorcas to walk through that door, or anyone, any familiar face that wasn’t her family. Then she heard three raps against the door and a familiar squeak echo out “Marlene are you awake? It’s me, Peter.”

The school friends stopped and stared, Marlene sinking into a comfortable silence as the sweat on Peter’s hand made it harder to hold his concealed wand.

Peter “Was I right?” The anxiety building in Peter’s voice made Marlene laugh before attempting to reassure him

Peter lets out a nervous chuckle as him and Marlene, one of his oldest friends, walk further into the safe house. He felt sick looking at her, her bright smile that reached her eyes, it hadn’t changed since they were children, that same warm smile.

As the young friends stood in what the young girl considered to be a comfortable silence, a bone-chilling scream flooded their ear drums from upstairs. She recognised her fathers sobs from when her grandparents passed when she was a child. She’d thought that would be the last time she heard her parents cry, but the war had corrected her on that. Her parents cries were so very familiar to her now.

Peter’s wands was outstretched and his handshaking, his stone faced expression wavering.

The McKinnon could feel her blood chill as the screams started again from upstairs, all she could see in her mind’s eye was her mother. Writhing on her parents bedroom floor, screaming in unimaginable pain

It just doesn’t make sense. Why, what does he mean. They’re friends.

Marlene felt sobs lump in her throat as more screams met her ears. This time they were low, hoarse and broken yells. Her brother. Her big brother. She could almost feel his hand gripping hers, like he’d always done when one or the other needed comfort. All she wanted was for him to be downstairs with her, she wanted her big brother. He’d tell her what to do, all she could do was think “It’s Peter, it’s my friend Peter. It’s Wormy”

Marlene stopped trying to breathe and focus, her and Peter were friends and he knew that. He just needed to remember that.

As the pair of old friends stood staring at each other. 1000s of memories flashing between their eyes, the memories stopped, tears clouding both their visions as what they understood to be the last bout of screams started. Soft cries, innocent, childlike sobs. Marlene’s niece. Marlene’s five year old niece crying for her daddy to wake up. The child crying for her mother who was long gone, crying for her grandparents in the room. A child experiencing far more pain than anyone should ever go through.

Marlene felt sharp, sharp pain spilt through her as she heard her niece beg for her family. As her niece then cried out for her Aunty Marley. Her Aunty Marley who was trapped downstairs at the mercy of one of her oldest friends, unable to even give her a comforting smile.

Marlene’s body hit the fall at the time as her niece, the youngest McKinnon’s seeing that same flash of green light, matching blonde curls deflating against the floor.

As Wormtail left the body of his childhood friend on the floor, shaking in horror. A young brunette was bouncing up the steps. Home early from her mission, excited to surprise her girlfriend. Her girlfriend who she had no doubt would be half asleep dozing off in the living room. During the war Dorcas didn’t have many fun surprises for her girlfriend but this one she was excited for after all this was a wonderful surprise.

But as she opened the door, her blood chilled and her stomach sank

It’s summer of 1975. Marlene is staying at Lily’s family home.

Lily: There’s no use in trying to be nice to her.

Lily: And Dorcas is so friendly, she would take it up as a challenge to make Tuney like her...

Marlene: Merlin, if you cry, I’ll have to put toad’s eyes in her shampoo for upsetting you.

*Marlene grabs a hair brush and motions for Lily to turn around*

Lily; In fact, I can’t see what makes them friends with Potter and Black in the first place.

Marlene: Sirius even takes notes for him when he’s ill.

Lily: They take care of each other, but you can’t deny they can be bullies.

World Gone Blind Part 1

Lucius looks at the man sitting in front of me him critically as he carefully decides what to say next...

Lucius- Five of us are going.

Malfoy: *scoffs* Massacre? That’s not exactly how I would phrase it

The clock begin to chime as the hour comes to a close.

Snape’s form apparates into Diagon Alley that’s pretty much deserted during this time of the night. All except for another figure hiding in the shadows.

Snape’s form quickly transforms into the form of Dorcas Meadowes

Dorcas smiles at Peter and apparates away to her flat leaving him in the dark alley alone. His warm expression fades as he looks around before apparating away himself.

My Opinion on... The character in general: Okay so since you’re a multi blog let me just say I’m excited to write with your OCs, particularly Beth and Thumper King because I think they would vibe. Also your characterization of Frank Longbottom is something I’m excited about! I love reading your headcanons about him and the like. How you play them: I love when people take underrated characters from Harry Potter and give them the depth that JKR didn’t give them. Because listen Frank was a badass and we all know it. You, the Mun: Talking to you comes really easy and I enjoy our conversation. I feel like you just get me half the time and I’m glad that you put up with my lame jokes. Sorry I have a tendency of popping in and then going awol.

Do I... RP with you: We’ve done a few memes and stuff but I don’t know if we actually have anything like written. Either way memes are always okay to turn into threads for me tbh. We’ve done some minor plotting stuff too. Wait now that I think about it we do have that Dexter and Kol thread my bad Want to RP with you: Of course I do! What is my... One favorite thing about your blog: Okay so I love how your multi muse blog has no bounds and you have a handful of ocs and canon characters from all sorts of fandoms. Also I think it’s bold of you to take on Peter Pettigrew, the fandom isn’t always particularly kind to Peter RPers. One favorite thing about you and your character: Okay like I said you’re easy to talk and I love that you like cats too! Also once again touching on Frank being badass? I just love seeing other aurors on the dash. Overall Opinion (with optional gif!) : Yes everyone, if you want great interactions and writing please take a look at @ghostbloomed .
