@mcytblrholidayexchange gift for @irrealisms !! you had lots of prompt ideas for writing, but not for art, so i hope you're happy with eclipse federation misery and agony compilation, plus song lyrics
lyric credits: Temporary - Chase Petra / Stranger - The Mechanisms / Easier - The Crane Wives (appears four times) / Two Birds - Regina Spektor / Little Soldiers - The Crane Wives (appears twice) / Heretic Pride - The Mountain Goats
feel free to ask if you want me to adjust some text to make it more readable or something, i think it looks fine but i know different peoples eyes and devices are different, and if i had more time i would definitely have spent more time messing with the colors on everything
speaking. of time. im really sorry i took so long ._. i kind of suck at estimating how long projects will take and how much time i have. thanks for being so patient!!
oh, also, some lyrics and drawings have story reasons for being grouped together, and some went where they looked good. uh. ideally id make sure everything had reason for its location, but this is one area where i did correctly estimate my time, instead of getting stuck in the planning phase.
also in the process of typing all this ive already gone back twice to change stuff in the images and re-add them to the post lol
OH also!! the part where vitalasy jumps off to his death! is as far as i can tell NOT canon accurate!! all the footage shows him jumping off the prison, since thats where he respawns. i didnt think to check this until after id already drawn most of the stuff, and already had the prison drawn, and i didnt want to reorganize the drawing. im telling myself that we only see a few of the later deaths and so theoretically the first one could have been jumping off a grassy ledge somewhere but its still bothering me and i needed to mention it.
anyway yeah really hope you like it i tried some new stuff with this one im not sure how well it turned out and thanks again for being so patient!!
EDITING TO ADD SOME MORE WORDS!!! i love talking about my art! so first, all the text on signs and stuff i did go back and look at videos and vods to make sure was entirely accurate, and i wrote all the words entirely by myself. for the lyrics and other text(death message and DELIVERANCE), i used a text tool first to make sure the words would be neat and where i needed them, and then traced over that on a new layer and deleted the original text layer. my handwritting fucking sucks always no matter what, this was a very necessary step. also! this is officially the first thing i have drawn entirely on my phone, rather than on my ipad like i used to do! also i dont use a stylus of any type i just draw with my finger lol.

Belgium Overcomes EU Struggles to Send Strong Message on Gaza
Despite the horrific and mounting human costs of the grave violations of international humanitarian law in Israel and Palestine, the 27 EU member states have been unable to reach a unanimous position condemning war crimes committed by all parties and calling for accountability. But the Belgian government has shown that it is possible for individual EU governments to stick to principles and not hide behind a lack of consensus at the EU level.
In a series of public statements, senior figures in the Belgian government, including Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, Deputy Prime Minister Petra De Sutter, Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib, and Development Minister Caroline Gennez, not only condemned the heinous October 7 killings by Palestinian armed groups, but also questioned the legality of some Israeli airstrikes, condemned its collective punishment of the Palestinian population, and called for targeted sanctions and accountability for those responsible. The Belgian government also expressed support for the International Criminal Court’s role and its ongoing investigation on the situation in Palestine, which includes jurisdiction over the current hostilities between the Israeli government and Palestinian armed groups. Also, the Belgian federal parliament has introduced a bill to ban trade with settlements in occupied territories.
EU governments have long been divided on Israel-Palestine. The divide has paralyzed the EU, whose foreign policy has to be unanimously approved by its 27 states, some of which continue to offer seemingly unconditional support for the Israeli government and shield it from accountability. In fact, European diplomats had to fight to secure even basic calls to Israeli authorities to respect international humanitarian law in their response to the October 7 attacks.

you do not have to answer if you don't want to, but.do you have any idea which party you're going to vote for during the federal elections in belgium, because i'm.honestly at a loss atm
Yeah, I understand. The choice is def not easy.
First of all, the won't vote for parties:
Those that want to split Belgium in any way. Racists. Vlaams Belang being the most extreme obv. The Federal states ~solution~ Bart De Wever is bringing is bull and will only make the discrepancy bigger. Working together and sharing the wealth and workforce is the way to go here.
Never been a big CD&V fan. They haven't been doing the best of jobs historically. Also I am generally against the Catholic notion :) Hilde Crevits is the only one there I think is doing a fine job (on the top of my head). The CD&V are however a good possible partner for a lefty oriented government. Ze draaien zoals de tjeeven ze zijn.
VLD is doing a lot of shooting themselves in the feet lately it's becoming a sitcom (dramatic). It's a party that has always stood for the wealthier part of the population (including the ones that just think they are / want to be). So nope for me. (though maybe they did make the right decision appointing Paul Van Tigchelt, he seems competent at least)(so far)
So Groen, PVDA and Vooruit remain.
Why I personally don't want to vote Groen (federally) is because of their insistence on closing down the nuclear power stations. We should invest in them, not close down!.. Love for Petra De Sutter though, her cleaning out BPost is a good thing!
I'm not sure what to think of PVDA tbh. Them never having been in a government in Belgium before makes it hard. Buuut, they might have a chance soon. PTB (the Walloon version) is going pretty hard in the polls, so voting for the Flemish one might not be a waste in a Federal election!
Well, I think we all know the current Vooruit problem. Conner Rousseau's reputation sure is shit atm. He's a populist. I still think it's the party doing the ~most~ good both planning and historically wise. They also have the most chance of being in a future coalition. That coalition being another Vivaldi type. Lots of other parties, like CD&V and NVA will turn down PVDA/PTB, and very much favour a coalition with Vooruit.
I know Vivaldi got some shit reputation, but imo they did an "okay" job considering corona and the war in Ukraine. (them mostly supporting Israel publicly is gross though, but in line with what Belgium always does (following Germany and the US and other big countries))
So conclusion and prediction
We either have an extreme right wing government with NVA and/or Vlaams Belang with the help from a payed Walloon party (De Wever is hoping the PS will agree here for millions of €€€€ because they need that money)
We have a central Vivaldi 2.0 thing with possibly MR/VLD, NVA, CD&V, Groen and Vooruit/PS (Bartje hates MR so they might get left out though)
Or we go leftie-liberal with PTB/PVDA, Vooruit/PS, Groen, VLD/MR and CD&V
Imo, the odds of the middle one are the highest and I will probs vote Vooruit because of that. But yakno. I'm not entirely sure either :))

For any character you feel would fit the question best: 6, 11, 27
Uuooo I didn't actually expect questions!! Thank you Fox!! Let me see....this might be a bit long...
6. Do they consider laws flexible, or immovable? > Ruth (human, Fallout universe, sniper/medic/commanding officer) She's a character that was born into a cruel world where her first settlement strove to live outside of any faction's rules, in their own peace. That was ruined by raiders blowing up her life to pieces, after which she decided to join this universe's federal army - the NCR, as a way to be able to bring law and justice and save others from her fate. However, she's not really a soldier at heart, and she'll always choose what she thinks is good for others, not necessarily what the law says. To the extent of ignoring orders of her superiors to save her friends, risk her life to gain information, and be a wild card in the NCR's pocket to get insight into local communities and local wars. Honestly I don't think I have many characters that wouldn't question the laws a little bit, but I think she's the most interesting to write when it comes to that!
11. How do they cope with confusion (seek clarification, pretend they understand, etc)? > Ruth Will ask more questions, professional interrogation way, and will try to intimidate you if polite professional doesn't work (bad cop). > Iri'thiel (D&D, half-drow, ranger, my main in The Revenants campaign) Will ask more questions, even if it makes her look stupid, as she got used to not knowing things about this world and its people after having her memory erased. Will try to seem like she's on top of the discussion anyway. > Laverne (anthro skink/gecko, modern times, bass player and vocalist) Will seem like she understood and her poker face is so good you won't know she didn't. Might try to ask more questions if it seems interesting enough.
27. What causes them to feel dread? > Petra (D&D, crystal dragonborn, warlock necromancer, Tyberios campaign) She sees the world as an adventure and just another step to take before ascending to lichdom some time in the far future, so not much. Aside from her origins. She's the only dragonborn she's seen so far, and people keep asking for her bloodline/family like it's an obvious thing she should know. But Petra was given as a gift to a cult of necromancers when she was still an egg, not knowing where she came from and how. This confuses her and although she browsed many books from end to end, nothing came up so far. > Iri'thiel Almost anything, almost all the time :)

Belgium’s contemplation of recognizing the state of Palestine as a means to achieve long-term peace and security in the region is a significant development in the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The country’s Minister of Development Cooperation, Caroline Gennez, has emphasized the need for both Palestinians and Israelis to have the right to live in peace and security. This stance reflects a growing sentiment within Belgium and other European countries, such as Spain, where similar considerations are being made.
In addition to the potential recognition of Palestine, Belgium is also planning to allocate an additional €5 million to the International Criminal Court (ICC) for independent research into the events in Gaza.
Brussels, Belgium – Belgian politicians and officials are increasingly questioning the scale and legality of Israel’s offensive in Gaza, as more civilians are killed and a humanitarian disaster unfolds in the densely populated enclave.
On Monday, at a conference in Brussels, Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, a liberal democrat, described Israel’s campaign in Gaza as “disproportionate”.
He did also say "Belgium will not take sides" but what else can you expect from a bloody liberal.
On Wednesday, Belgium’s deputy prime minister made a rare European call for sanctions against Israel. “It’s time,” Petra De Sutter, a Green party politician, told the Flemish newspaper Het Nieuwsblad. “The rain of bombs is inhumane.”
(note: Petra De Sutter is one of seven deputy prime ministers, so she's not "the" deputy prime minister of the Belgian government. There is one for every party that makes up the current government, which is a coalition of 7 political parties (though only 4 political families).)
(Also worth noting - Petra De Sutter is the first trans minister within Europe, something that went almost unmentioned in news headlines, because nobody cared - a rare and welcome sign of progress. She's also a gynaecologist, a part-time professor in gynaecology at the university of Ghent, and has been Head of the Department of Reproductive Medicine at Ghent University Hospital in the past. She's a very important voice of the trans movement in Flanders. I was very grateful that she was one of the women I was able to vote for in the European elections (I can't vote for her in federal or Flemish elections because we're in different electoral districts).)
A day later, Caroline Gennez, Belgium’s minister of development cooperation, suggested that the government was considering recognising the state of Palestine. “This is necessary to achieve peace in the long term,” she told Al Jazeera.
And Fourat Ben Chikha, vice president of the Senate of Belgium – the federal parliament’s upper house – told Al Jazeera on Friday that “You don’t need to be a human rights professor or international lawyer to understand that international law is no longer being respected in this war.” He said progressive parties like the Greens, to which he belongs, have begun raising their voices in support of Palestine to build political pressure.
After De Sutter called for sanctions against Israel, German politician Reinhard Bütikofer wrote on X: “That is not the position of the European Greens.” “The German Greens in particular totally oppose such a move that would blame Israel for the crimes of Hamas who are using civilians as human shields.”
Well, fuck you, sir.
Abdalrahim al-Farra, Palestine’s ambassador to the EU, Belgium and Luxembourg, said he has witnessed “a clear change in the position of the Belgian government”. “We sensed this from the principled and moral stance of Minister Caroline Gennez and Minister Petra De Sutter,” he told Al Jazeera. “Their calls came as a countermeasure to Israel’s violation of international law and international humanitarian law, and the collective punishment on Palestinians.”
Discussing the Israeli-Palestinian issue can be difficult in Belgium, because of the varying views between political parties in the Flanders in the north, Wallonia in the south, and the Brussels region.
Peter Mertens, general secretary of the Workers Party of Belgium (Partij van de Arbeid van België) [the communist party, the ONLY political party that is united across the different language communities], said the Belgian government “really has problems” speaking clearly on this matter “because they are being lobbied by Israel, and the lobbying from Washington is even bigger with institutions like NATO headquartered in Belgium.” He said the public and media have been pressuring the government to take a tougher stance against Israel “as the relentless bombardment of Gaza and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians continue”.
The Workers Party is the marxist party in Belgium.
Belgium is a very divided country politically, our current federal government is a coalition of the liberals, the social democrats, the greens, and the christian democrats. It excludes the party that, actually, got the most votes within Flanders in the latest elections. And thank fuck, because they are vile and there are people within that party with ties to Israel.

In mainstream competitive ballroom dancing, same-sex partnerships were not allowed until 2007 when the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF), which oversees competitive ballroom dancing worldwide, decided to finally allow same-sex couples to compete in mainstream competitions.
In 2019, the National Dance Council of America (NDCA) changed their rules and allowed same–sex and gender-neutral couples to compete against opposite–sex couples. The traditional definition of male as a leader and female as a follower changed as well. Now it is simply a leader and a follower regardless of sex or gender of dancers.
This 2006 photograph taken by Angela Jimenez shows same-sex ballroom dancers Petra and Caroline. The image captures a joyous and glorious moment. It also reminds us that there have been many who resisted the “status quo” to challenge the traditional rules, refused to be less than who they are, and pushed the boundaries. Keep dancing and celebrating this Pride Month. Happy feet to everybody!

Do you believe that if a woman or girl requests a female gynaecologist, and the gyno is a pre-transition trans woman, the patient is transphobic for being uncomfortable or asking for a cis woman doctor? Genuine question
Is it transphobic to dismiss  the services of a transgender doctor because she is trans?
Tumblr media
Petra De Sutter is a gynecologist and politician, currently serving as the federal Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium. Would it be OK for a cis woman to ask for another female gynecologist, if Petra was the one assigned to her? (Photo from Open Dialogue)
Social conditioning
There are many levels of bigotry – being this racism, homophobia, transphobia or any other kind of aversion felt towards minority groups. The phobia can be conscious, deliberate and hateful, or it can be implicit and an indirect effect of cultural prejudices.
One of the ways society keep marginalized groups excluded is by conditioning its citizens to fear or loathe them. This is not only a mental process; it is an emotional form of conditioning.
Kids will, from a very young age, see that their parents and peers express distaste when meeting – or talking about – members of these groups.
The same adults will often use the same kind of expressions as when they talk about something diseased, rotten or corrupt. Kids pick up on these feelings. They develop the same emotional responses.
Bigoted narratives reinforce the phobias
This process is of course accentuated by the way the bigots present the children with narratives aimed at legitimizing this aversion.
We have all heard these stories: "The Jews are part of a world-wide cabal aimed at ravaging white women, sacrificing or kids and turning us all into Communists," or "Black people are primitive, lazy, violent and promiscuous animal-like beings who threaten white women and kids," or "Gay people are grooming good kids to become queer pedophiles."
Fascist propaganda is actually very much about presenting outsiders as  a sexual threat to predominantly white women and kids. This tactic legitimizes policies aimed at oppressing those marginalized, and this oppression in turn creates more distrust and disgust.
This is the tactic the Republican party is using against LGBTQA people and immigrants in the US right now, and is a strategy exploited by the so-called "gender critical" TERFs of Britain.
Freeing yourself from phobias
Note that it can be hard to overcome such feelings of loathing and fear, since they are based on long term reinforcement. This means that someone who intellectually have understood the nature of transphobia or racism, and who consciously supports trans rights or the civil rights movement, may still harbor bigoted feelings.
Indeed, getting rid of such feelings may take time. It often requires regular contact with members of the marginalized group, so that your subconscious come to see them as regular people and not as some kind of scary "Other".
So a woman who – because she has been raised in a racist or transphobic environment – feel unease about being cared for by a Black or transgender woman, may on one level be an anti-racist or trans-supportive person, but may – nonetheless – express racist or transphobic feelings. Because of this she continues to reinforce the negative biases of this world.
Is she a bad person? I wouldn't say so. But it would definitely help if someone helped her out of that state of mind.
Experienced as invalidating aggression
Dismissing a Black gynecologist because she is Black or a transgender doctor because she is trans, will definitely be experienced as a bigoted reaction. The caretaker will experience this as aggression aimed at invalidating her status as an equal human being.
Now, the question posed is a bit confusing, as it is referring to the female doctor being "a pre-transition trans woman". A trans female caretaker who works as a woman will have already come out. She has transitioned, at least socially. She presents as a woman. She is a woman.
I know of no one who allows closeted trans women (i.e. those who publicly still present as men) to work as female doctors.
It might be the expression is not referring to this trans woman having socially transitioned. Instead the question might be alluding to whether she has been through hormone replacement therapy and surgery, so that she easily passes for a cis woman.
But that brings us back to the social conditioning: The unease someone feels from facing a woman who is visibly trans (or meeting a female doctor who is clearly a woman of color) is caused by a transphobic or racist culture that teaches us that transgender or Black women are dangerous, contaminated or inferior. That is clearly a transphobic or racist reaction, even if the patient's conscious intentions are good.
We cannot win the battle against bigotry if we continue to insist on keeping the marginalized groups segregated from "normal" society due to the misguided fears of prejudiced people. That segregation is in itself one of the instruments used to keep the oppressive system in place. This applies to bathrooms, participation in sports, as well as gynecology.

Good news on this Superbowl Sunday morning!
Hi Skippy & Friends-Pilgrim checking in good news today, from the NY Post about that horrid Grammy performance. I have copied a few of the most important statements avoiding the sick images. CBS really failed all the laws of decency as well as the FCC laws allowing their performance to be performed and the viewing public is lashing back…Yay!!!
“Sam Smith and Kim Petras’ controversial Grammys performance was slapped with a myriad of FCC complaints, according to a report. After Smith and Petras raised eyebrows with their creative choices, TMZ reported outraged viewers filed complaints against CBS and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).”
“The outlet obtained 18 complaints filed with the FCC, with most of them slamming the performance for its “glorification” of Satan. The performance left some politicians outraged, including Ted Cruz and Marjorie Taylor Greene who found it “evil” and “demonic. “This…is…evil,” Texas Sen. Ted Cruz tweeted, with Megyn Kelly blasting the act on her SiriusXM daily podcast “The Megyn Kelly Show” as “celebrating Satan.”
We the public have enormous power to stand our ground and let tinsletown know we won’t tolerate their ignorance and filth. Let’s hope tonight’s halftime show is watchable and maybe even enjoyable!
Off to clean up the yard on this sunny chilly day, where the sap is rising in stems and tiny buds are making a show. Over and out for now.
Thank you dear Pilgrim…oh what a world….we have to take a stand and scream so we are heard…we are not going to put up with this crap anymore….❤️

Just some examples below of characters at camp in GW not being okay with what Claude does (mainly to reiterate past points I’ve made about him/the route):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mind you, the game forces all characters to cooperate with Claude in GW, even though a lot of them disagree (Marianne adamantly is against everything Claude is doing and expresses it regularly. Her excuse for not leaving or doing anything about is that she hopes the war ends quickly, but she still repeatedly expresses that she doesn’t believe what they’re doing is the right thing to do).
Lorenz repeatedly questions Claude’s decisions, as he should, but due to it being the GW route, all the characters have to follow what he does and just deal with it. There’s no “hey this is bullshit I’m out”, when realistically at this point a good handful of characters would’ve walked out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This proves the writer’s are totally aware of what they’re writing and know the nuance to it! It’s just that... because Claude is the main character of this route, he’s swept up in the story and has to be adjusted to fit the story accordingly.
There’s no happy ending for the Kingdom and Alliance unless Sylvain (who is a major player in Faerghus politics) can agree to it, which is highly unlikely after he openly expresses his hatred for Claude/the Alliance (as he puts it, the “invaders”, which... were Claude/the Alliance).
Also, I have another post with the camp part of Hapi saying that it’s scummy of the Alliance/Federation that the only reason she and Constance are alive is because they surrendered. In other words, she finds the “surrender or die” thing to be scummy. Then we have Yuri, who notices the same issue:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This point proves that Claude is pretty cold hearted in this route. He not only forces Ashe to surrender (or die, as is implied by his dialogue when he says “Dimitri would be sad if you died” and thus urging him to surrender), but then he even has Ashe fight against his own people.
While this is a recruit mechanic issue and is a problem in all routes generally speaking, it’s not highlighted upon by other characters about other characters. That is to say, Petra for example in AG will express relief that they didn’t have to kill Dorothea, but she doesn’t mention anything about Dimitri forcing them to fight the Empire (which Petra decides to do entirely by her own will). Dorothea expresses some reluctance at first in her own camp dialogue, but it’s never mentioned that Dimitri is forcing anyone to fight against their will.
The fact that other characters are commenting on it means other characters are seeing and understanding what’s going on (which is more than a lot of players can say apparently, like the ones who blindly send hate to people who didn’t enjoy GW/SB lol). They recognize that everything Claude is doing is just shitty and shouldn’t be what they’re doing.
So... why do they keep fighting with him? Because... bad writing. That’s honestly it. Because they’re all forced, by the writing and route’s story, to keep fighting for Claude even though probably a good half of his camp doesn’t agree with his actions. Even though, if this were a better story even somewhat, and if Claude still did what he’s been doing here in this somewhat better story, the story would be made better by the disagreeing characters defecting to the Kingdom. Mind you, three background lords did try to defect to the Kingdom... and were promptly shut down from defecting.
If this were a good story, Claude wouldn’t have had his morals flipped on their head. If this were a decentish story, Claude would have lost a good chunk of his allies who defected after being fed up with his behavior and decisions. If this were a bad and lazily written story, it would look like it does.
ALSO I ran out of tags to explain my last point BUT
the irony of all this is that when he killed Shahid, he was trying not to cry and got drunk over it. This guy who had been trying to kill him and would’ve done so without batting an eye (and probably would’ve told everyone and bragged about it), this guy who has been presumably among his siblings trying to kill him his entire life, and this is who he feels guilty about killing. Then he goes marching to Faerghus, invades them and says he just wants to talk while forcing one of their royal knights to surrender or die.
Apparently Claude would rather feel sad about the brother of his that tried to murder him than the innocent people who never wronged him.
#Three Hopes#Three Hopes Spoilers#and the thing is it's hard for Claude fans to stomach this in general like#this isn't dominantly Claude haters who hate GW. it's people who love Claude who don't like the story#it's people who loved the guy they knew in Houses being like wtf is this writing#why is Claude so different when Dimitri and Edelgard aren't different#Dimitri is just the same as he'd be post Gronder in AM but a bit younger and with more supportive friends#and didn't have to be on the run for five years all by himself with a super bad mental illness#like... it's the same Dimitri at his core. Edelgard is the same person at her core and she strives for the same goals#Claude has some personality alterations that make sense in that he didn't attend school for the whole year#so his friendships weren't formed the same way and he spent less time with Dimitri to get to know him#so when he says ''I still have no idea what's going on in Dimitri's head'' that's a 180 contrast from AM Claude#who Byleth can point out Claude knows/understands very well#so yeah his general uncertainty about people he didn't know as well makes sense#but changing his morality and his views on war and bloodshed and how far he's willing to go isn't the same#Claude would take any available means to resolve something peacefully. if this were happening with Houses Claude#he would have sent a letter to Dimitri asking to meet with him to talk first so they could figure things out#because WHAT DO YOU KNOW in the secret chapter when they talk it proves that's all he even needed to do to get some answers#it just makes Claude look dumb despite Houses pointing out that he's very intelligent and the opposite of a typical#person raised in Almyra because they're similar to Faerghus in that they value strength#Claude isn't super powerful and instead has a good head on his shoulders which makes him feel even more different and an outsider in Almyra#GW Claude is just swept along and molded to fit the story as needed and not allowed to be his own character properly#even though VW and SS were practically the same thing Claude was still Claude you know?#this just feels like they didn't know what to do with Claude bc they wanted to try something new with him#like since they didn't get to utilize a less casual/relaxed Claude in Houses they did it in Hopes#they didn't get to make him as cynical as they wanted to... and so they did it in Hopes. they just... went overboard and didn't do it right?#bc I can easily see Claude being more cynical and stuff /to the right people and to his enemies/#which would mean in a direct way Thales and co and the Empire/Edelgard. not Faerghus just minding their business#As a Lorenz fan I ate like a god in this route. As a Claude fan... I lost about 180 years on my life from his 180!

Remember Dimitri’s conversation with Claude once Arval activates his trap card and sends everyone to the Shadow Realm? How getting rid of the Central Church and it’s doctrine would delegitimatize their rule while it invites the people dying in droves due to the chaos it would create? The parts that Claude specifically wants to ignore, instead taking issue with the idea he would die? If you really think about it, that’s exactly what will happen after Golden Wildfire.
Keep in mind that in Houses, it’s stated that when people saw the Immaculate One fighting Edelgard’s forces at Garreg Mach they took it as a sign that the Goddess wasn’t on Edelgard’s side. After all, the Immaculate One is seen as a benevolent guardian of Fodlan by the masses, and in Houses it only reinforced people’s faith.
Edelgard fighting the Immaculate One turned the faithful against her. What would Claude killing her do? Especially when Claude was persuaded to use the Eastern Church in order to crown him king in order to keep the masses calm? The Eastern Church becomes an illegitimate church, one that endorsed a leader who killed a servant of the Goddess the Church claims to follow. We know from Houses, specifically Lorenz, that the nobles in the Alliance pay lip service to the Church in order to keep the people on their side. If anything, it would give House Gloucester a means to turn the Federation against Claude. And that’s just the beginning.
Never mind what this would mean for Edelgard and the Empire. Edelgard and her Southern sect would be seen as illegitimate as well, but we all know that Edelgard has no problems using force to keep the people in line. If anything this would be a move to turn Edelgard into the tyrant we know she can be. Since she was the one whose claims Claude followed, she would not be seen in the best light either.
The Kingdom did protect Rhea until the very end... but let’s be real here. Edelgard was going after Dimitri in the West during the last chapter while Claude conquered his way to Rhea in the East. There’s not going to be much of the Kingdom left over to side with Dimitri, not unless the faithful from all over Fodlan flock to defend it in response to the revelation that the Federation and Empire were not endorsed by the Goddess.
On top of that, people know TWSITD exist in this timeline. Edelgard suspected Shez was one of them, and would recruit them to keep an eye on them in SB (this could explain why she thinks Dimitri is working with Thales in AG). She could just as easily throw “Claude is working with TWSITD” as well due to Claude working with Shez. And since no one knows where Claude comes from, they could accuse him of being a Slither as well. Claude could get out of it by revealing his true identity... but that would mean that the Alliance became the Federation by the machinations of an Almyran prince. Almyra would be seen as conquering the Alliance. Little chance they would be accepting of Claude’s insistence of tearing down borders and embracing new ways of thinking with that in mind.
Speaking of Almyra, Claude undermined his father’s authority when he took their navy. Almyra is a meritocracy itself, so his father’s rule would come into question as Nader goes around telling people about how he attacked the Kingdom capital with the Federation. Plus, if it gets out that the leader of the Federation is the missing prince Khalid, the same Khalid who killed Prince Shahid, Claude’s other siblings might have some thoughts about this. Almyra could very well declare war on the Federation so that the King may reassert his authority if one of those siblings didn’t want to take a swing at Claude themselves.
Brigid either loses it’s queen, or it’s queen defected to the Alliance. Petra is not going to earn her people’s freedom from Edelgard either way, unless Edelgard grants Brigid independence in memory of Petra’s “noble sacrifice”. But considering that Edelgard is bossing Brigid and it’s queen around? Not likely.
And this is all on top of the idea that Claude’s calling for the war to end after killing Rhea falls on deaf ears after everything he’s done. He has sacked the Kingdom, killed one of it’s defenders and made Sylvain into a much colder person. He had Count Gloucester fake a surrender to lure the Imperial army in and tried to wipe them out as they tried to retreat. Edelgard’s goal is fucking conquest, and just saying she’d be the bad guy if she kept fighting after Rhea dies isn’t going to magically make Claude the hero. Nor is him going after the Church instead of TWSITD, something that has members of his own army worried in exploration. If he holds onto the Kingdom territory he claimed in order to have more resources against a post-warEdelgard, then his claims of only being after the Church would fall apart (especially as he tries to get people to embrace Almyran ways of thinking).
The ending is Claude creating a wildfire that stretches across multiple countries, with those countries all having grievances against the new Federation and it’s king. The fighting is going to be bigger than every, giving TWSITD more chaos to work with and Claude isn’t going to have a peaceful post-war to send Shez after them like he reveals in the A support.
Claude, who thinks he’s this big-brained mofo, is fucked at the end of Golden Wildfire and Dimitri, someone who the fandom thinks is just dumb muscle, pointed out why in a few seconds after Claude explained his plans to him. Houses Claude would have listened, Hopes Claude did not and will pay for it.

Golden Wildfire - Final Chapter
IT’S OVER. I’M FREE
They are really thinking that Dimitri is just hoping Claude takes care of the Central Church for him. They are ASSUMING here.
Well, Claude is dumb, so I get it.
Hapi wonders if they can spare here. You can suggest she just go somewhere far away and never have contact with anyone to reduce her influence, which is pretty cruel too.
An NPC says they can’t let their guard down because some Central Church supports fled elsewhere besides the Kingdom. I see, so we are basically suggesting we hunt them now?
Petra says that Brigid doesn’t have any relationships with anyone other than the Church or the Empire. You can say that if Claude’s plan goes well, she had have relationships with the Kingdom and the Federation too. :/ If the Kingdom is still fucking standing after all this. PLUS, she admits Brigid is friends with the Church.
I guess apparently people were treating Linhardt like shit before because he was an Imperial. HMMM, I WONDER IF ITS BECAUSE HIS COUNTRY ATTACKED?!
“Hey I heard Catherine was a kingdom noble? Then they might hold a grudge” NO SHIT
Marianne thinks part of why Rhea might fight in the plains is to reestablish her authority Foldan like was Seiros did on the same battlefield.
Gatekeeper - “I can’t wait till this war is over, then everyone can laugh together no matter where they are from!” No, I think the Kingdom is going to have something to say about it.
Yuri says that people are devout and so they won’t trust those who dispose of Rhea, even if the kings try to smooth things over. And he’s right
That NPC who says he is not a spy for Edelgard is 100% a spy
Ashe is worried for Dimitri, that something will happen to him if he lets the Church get sacrificed.
An NPC wonders which Church will take control of the region if the Church is gone (maybe a Northern one, or the Western one)
We are still fighting Kingdom troops in the side chapters? Damn
Dimitri has ordered all citizens to evacuate to Sylvain’s territory.
So, Dimitri can’t really spare troops to help the Central Church. Plus, the Central Church broke off themselves anyways. But Dimitri is willing to accept any punishment that comes is way for protecting his people
Also, what way did the Federation show... exactly? I’m not sure if I follow what lesson the Federation showed that will prevent the Southern Church from trying to force it’s rule
Cyril appears in a side map. :( So does Seteth and Flayn
I took Holst on another date and he says that replacing the academy will be difficult because it’s actually a really good fucking school
Holy fuck one of the side maps is literally attacking the Knights while they are trying to get rid of bandits, since they are “occupied”
OK, it’s time to end my suffering
We have barely seen Rhea this whole time
Rhea curses the fact she let the Elite bloodlines live (or, at least regrets it)
Rhea is going to face them head on. She wants Flayn and Seteth to flee when the time comes
She knows she is going to die here.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6bfYqHcJPU&ab_channel=Jason
She says humanity is doomed to repeat their mistakes
Rhea can create soldiers through magic
Holy fuck Cyril is dead now
WHY does Mercedes just JOIN the other side after FIGHTING FOR the Church in the first place?! Cause Jeritza is there? Fuck off
There is a strategy called “rain of ash” That sounds like a good guy thing
“I’m not here to talk about who started the war” BRO
Rhea literally said she wasn’t looking for this fight, and that you spilt blood the war the EMPIRE started.
And THAT was your response?!
Poor Rhea.....
And after all that, it doesn’t seem like either the Empire or the Kingdom will accept Claude’s proposal to end the war
Claude
Fuck you
