#ph #still sick and trying to think about things that bring me joy #favorite part about visiting husband’s family in belgium is staying at the old family house in the countryside w his endlessly kind uncle #the house has such wholesome energy & we always eat so well & talk about such interesting things & enjoy each other's company <3 #the first day we arrived it was rainy and quiet and he drove us into the nearby city and bought us some ice cream as we walked around #and we stopped for groceries on the way back and he picked up some strawberries & cherries and we sat in the kitchen eating them #and drinking coffee and the next day he took us to some antique shops and we looked at books and talked about how much we love poetry <3 #and he complimented my french in like. literally the kindest way. he's just such a kindred spirit the three of us get along so well
