finally went to the orchid show at the botanical garden, GOD i love all those funky flowers. they’re so weird, and so varied. there’s flowers that smell like chocolate, and roses, and sweet vanilla. and petals in every shade of purple i can imagine. and flowers the size of my palm, and petals littler than my pinky fingernail. incredible.

i bought an oncidium with tiny red flowers that smells like the sweet pea lotion from bath & body works.

I like plants but I’m not really a plant collector, I don’t tend to seek out specific plants and I’m pretty much set just seeing what’s available and getting what I like/can afford but I finally came across pictures of a specific plant that I really really want but I can’t find it for sale anywhere aaa

#mine #personal #apparently it's a newer variety of orchid so it will probably be available in in person stores eventually but not yet #and online stores are all sold out #it's Phalenopsis 'Yaphon Golden Leopard' #and it's GORGEOUS #there aren't a lot of yellow orchids and those that are yellow typically have a look that's neat but doesn't really do it for me #but the specific shade of yellow of this one is legit my favorite color

Thought I'd share some pictures of my orchid. My fourth orchid, but first to bloom twice for me, after the initial bloom when I bought it. 🥰🥰🥰
