Danny had only just sat down when his ghost sense went off. He almost ignored it. The only reason he wasn’t in bed right now was because his need for food just barely overwhelmed his need for sleep, and he wasn’t in the mood to fight. Until he heard a distant cry of “Beware!”

“Be right back,” he muttered to Sam and Tucker before leaving. He was too tired to bother with the door and went straight through the wall instead, meeting the Box Ghost outside in his human form.

“The ghost boy! Are you prepared to cower in fear of my corrugated vengeance? You might have bested me for the last three nights but now I–“ Danny punched the Box Ghost in the face hard enough to send him flying out of sight. Shaking out his fist, Danny returned to his friends the same way he left, and rested his head on Tucker’s shoulder with a sigh.

“Should we tell him?” Tucker asked.

Sam shook her head. “Nah. Let him sleep.”

All around them, the Nasty Burger had fallen completely silent.

Lexx pray tell what is Phantom Phight Club?

OHOHOHO

I'm so glad you came to me. Let me take you on a little story of our Phandom History.

So the tl;dr is that it's a Danny Phantom shitposting tournament. There are 64 entrants who go head to head over 6 rounds. It's a stereotypical tournament style, so head to head rounds until there is just one final Phight Club Champion.

The history of this epic tournament is that in 2018, @ectopusses and @raycr0ak (formally rayhoosier) challenged me to an epic phight behind the Denny's. We trash talked for a while before @dannyphandump (aka Tali) started a Betting Booth on me vs ectopusses, which was then coined as an official phight.

After the idea gained popularity, Tali made a post to see if people wanted to set up a genuine, Hunger Games style shitpost tournament. @catalystofthesoul then set up how the tournament would work, and Tali and Vic (@babypop-phantom) then worked to bring it all together for January 2019.

2019 came with the FIRST Phight Club. @reallydumbdannyphantomaus won, @heyheyitsstillgay came in second, and I came in third.

2020 came next, and it was another slam dunk year. @ecto-american won, @auroraphantasma came in second, and @grimgrinningghoul came in third.

So then 2021 came, and unfortunately both Tali and Vic needed a break. The events were always massive and involved essentially two full months of festivities, including art making, ghostsonas, oneshots showcasing epic battles, fake jobs and fake workdays, and more. Then 2022 came and went with no phight club even mentioned.

At this point, many of us just assumed that Phight Club was a thing of the past. A fun little thing we participated in for a few years that had stayed in that era of the phandom along with the famous Apocalypses and other meme-y events.

Well that was, until Last Night where Vic mysteriously posted this ominous flickering Denny's sign, the first peep this blog has had in the past few years.

Then shortly after, they changed their header to say this.

So is a Phight Club 2023 in the works?

Are we going to get an epic reunion?

Hey, Hartfans! This week, we're going to take a look at an enemy I always wanted to make for Danny. It's actually one of his classmates! Introducing Jeff Jefferson. He's on the basketball team at Casper High, and he's part of the photography club! But Jeff has a secret... he knows Danny's secret! After catching Danny change one day, Jeff decides to blackmail Danny into getting him a date with Paulina as Phantom. When that falls through, Jeff tells everyone Danny's secret... but no one believes him because he has no proof. Eventually, some of the other students even start to think that Jeff is Danny Phantom because he has blond hair and green eyes! From then on, Jeff makes it his goal to to capture evidence that Danny Fenton is Danny Phantom and becomes Danny's first human enemy!

Success: Danny finished his homework, came back from patrol, and was ready to sleep at a reasonable hour for the first time in weeks (!!!)

He was far too cozy by the time he realized his door was still cracked open and his light was still on. Getting out from under the duvet at this point would be torture.

Danny was too tired for this. His parents were probably still in the lab, right?

Face buried into his pillow, he shot ectoblasts blindly in the direction of his light switch and hummed contentedly when the light finally extinguished. If he had flipped the switch or simply fried it was a tomorrow-Danny problem. The door slammed closed with a fizzle of ectoplasm on wood, and Danny sank into sweet, beautiful, blessed sleep.
