Mikey: Hunters (his favorite cause same <3), tangle, honey, tabby, and pink -- the type of player to just have an entire enclosure of pink slimes and tried to keep tarrs as angry pets. My friend said Mikey would try to feed the echoes to the slimes to see if they would glow and would squish them till they make farting noises. Oh also has all the outfits for the little guys!

Raph: Sabers(After that all of his largos were saber combos) crystals, rock, tabby, lucky, tabby, and puddle slimes(2nd fav) -- the completionist only second to Donnie, collected a bunch of puddle slimes, goes out of his way to give all the slimes toys, and feeds all feral slimes they come across.

Donnie: Glitch and Quantum slimes are his favorite cause the slimy texture of any other slime is icky(same bro same). His ammo other slimes are rad, dervish, and rock. -- seriously...? ugh science guy def cosplays Viktor and he's his favorite character, has all the blueprints unlocked and the entire map is covered with inventions. Number 1 Completionist has everything to 100% and spent way too long trying to find gilded ginger (cries into my singular glided ginger that took 10+ hours to get)

Leo: Phosphor (he says it's mosaics but he gets blown up too much they make funny faces tho), mosaic, quicksilver, fire, boom, crystal slimes. -- has all the damaging slimes and just kinda runs into the enclosures absent-mindedly and just dies (sweats profusely) filled the grotto with echos, and also tried to feed them to slimes.

Yayy!!! Um okay so! This might be a bit of a disjointed ramble but still enjoying myself :D Starting with a list in vague / rough strength order (strongest first): Puddle / Lillypad Slime Rad Phosphor Largo Flutter Slime Tabby Slime Tangle Slime Glitch Slime Angler Slime Batty Slime Before I mentioned that I had 11 slime rancher / slime rancher 2 slime fractures but turns out it's actually 8/9 I just can't count /silly Also I haven't actually played the second game? But I do still know that I have 3 slimes from it, just looking at them and reading about them on the wiki I know they're me. I am a puddle and a lillypad slime, they feel the same to me but are also definitely both there? Kind of alternate states but also different entities vibes? It's pretty rad (joke intended). But being both / either of them is pretty chill and nice? Just kind of floating around in the water, very peacefully. Water is safety and also my home! I am sort of shy and mind crowding more than other slimes but I don't mind if ranchers want to come and take home with them? Provided they have the correct setup! I don't know if it's the same for all but I do like ot have at least 1 friend of my kind with me? It can get lonely otherwise... What is kind of funny is that in this human from I am not the biggest fan of drinking water but as a puddle slime water is the only thing I eat. I think the water there is nicer though, so kind of makes sense xd On another hand, not that as a slime I have any lol, being a largo is sort of weird? I'm pretty sure that I started out as a phosphor slime? I don't have any memories of it so I'm just going off what feels right / correct. I'd hazard a guess that it was a rancher who gave me the chance to become a largo? It doesn't feel like something that happened out in the wild. Suddenly becoming radioactive, and much larger, is a very strange experience! But not a bad one by any means? I will say that in pretty much all forms I agree that fruit is the good stuff, super delicious!! Despite the rad influences / new dietary abilities I think fruit was always the higher preference. Cuberries are a heavenly treat. As tabby? Am kitty! I get very similar vibes from it as I do from my general feline fracture. Cats just have similar vibes no matter the exact species :3 Tabby gets along fairly well with ranchers and other slimes? Though us, also ironically to my human life, not so much with hen hens. The human irony is that due to the Nurodivergency™️ I generally can't stand the texture of chicken, which is the closest parallel to hen hens of course. In general what can i say except I am types of slime who can fly / float / flutter! As a slime I mainly have wings and an enjoyment of soaring through the beautiful lands slimes come from ^^ - Retro

Played more slime rancher 2, wondering what the last two slimes I haven't found yet are and where all those fucking upgrades are hiding (and strange diamond, fuck y'all for making it so hard to find lmao).

Anyway! Dumb thoughts about what kind of ranch some OP Bois would have!

Marco

I feel like he'd invest in the dangerous but lucrative research slimes. Like the quantum, rad, and mosaic slimes. But he does have less stressful slimes less his ranch for fun. Like puddle, cotton, tabby, and phosphor slimes. He also has a flutter slime he's crossed with a phosphor to make a largo that's his baby and less of a bitch to care for than a pure flutter slime.

Very well stocked corals and food sources for his various slimes but enjoys exploring as well.

Ace

If it explodes, he wants to hold. Just really likes the danger but his secret babies are fire slimes. Little garbage disposals just like him~! But otherwise mostly boom, hunter, batty, and tabby slimes for cuddles. He'd like cotton slimes but feels like they'd just be stressed near such aggressive slimes lol. He makes a decent living but is definitely in it more for the challenge and adventure. He's not sure how but he's got a ringtail slime running rampant and can't be bothered to get rid of. He's set aside a coral for it whenever he manages to catch it out of begrudging respect for the crafty bastard.

Well stocked for both him and his slimes cause he feels really bad if they ever go hungry.

Thatch

He probably skews more towards ingredients than any serious specialization in slimes, though he definitely has honey slimes on his ranch. He's got cotton, tabby, pink, and yolky slimes (as chicken friends, he can't say no to the cute bastard that snuck in one night) for more steady income. There's also seemingly a ringtail that plagues his crops that he wishes would just be caught already so he can feed them properly.

Naturally, his corals are all suited up to their slimes and well stocked. He's got fire slimes to take care of any rotten food too!

She's unusually kitted out and has expanded her ranch despite now only having very tame slimes (mostly). She used to have several corals of largos and is fully prepared to do so again if she's broke (easy money on the plot market, just take rare slimes and largo them with easier to feed slimes). Keeps puddle, fire, cotton, honey, ringtail, and a small group of hunter/flutter largos (she is NOT getting nectar all the damn time, it's a pain in the ass to find and retrieve). Also many garden and chicken coop plots (a remnant from feeding the many, massive, dangerous largos she used to keep). As well as well stocked silos for obvious reasons.

Desperately wants a yolk slime for any of her numerous chicken coops. Often gets lost for a few days exploring and returning to quickly feed her many babies. Does know a lot of random places and usually where to get specific slimes and gadget ingredients. Except strange diamonds... Fuck strange diamonds, she's still looking for more of those to complete her kits.

Pink Slimes are common and found all over the world in Slime Rancher 2. Combine them into a Largo for a quick boost of plorts and Newbucks by feeding them Heart Beets.

Rock Slime Rock slimes earned their name from the rocky crown of sharp spikes that adorn their slimy bodies. They love minerals and are strict vegetarians, favoring the satisfying crunch of heart beet above all else.

These slimes can jump to the air and cling to surfaces, so make sure you prioritize auto-feeders and plort collectors on harmful Slime corrals. They can also agitate in the daylight, so consider using solar shields or a sky net on them.

These slimes can be found in multiple areas in Ember Valley, but they are most commonly found in caves. They produce Fire plorts, which earn you 50 Newbucks on the plort market.

Tabby Slime The Tabby Slime features cute cat ears and a rotund body. These critters can be found in the Rainbow Fields and eat a diet of meat and vegetables. They're prone to escaping, so they're best kept in a Corral with High Walls and an Air Net.

These slimes pop out Puddle Plorts that earn ranchers a starting value of fifteen Newbucks. They're a bit of a pain to keep as they can't be housed near other Slimes and will eat through an ash trough relatively quickly.

Phosphor Slime While Phosphor Slimes look pretty cool, these nocturnal creatures can disappear into thin air if they're exposed to sunlight. You can prevent this from happening by equipping your corral with a Solar Shield or keeping them in a perpetually dark location like a cave.

Moss Blanket is one of the first areas you'll get to explore in Slime Rancher 2. It's peaceful and full of different slimes, including savory Honey Slimes and commanding-sounding Hunter Slimes.

These critters eat fruit-based foods such as mint mango, which makes them ideal for players wanting to collect quick plorts early on.

Rad Slime Rad Slimes are green slimes with a radioactive aura that glows in the dark. They can induce rad poisoning in ranchers if they stay within their aura for too long. They have a favorite food of Silver Parsnips and can be splashed to remove their aura.

They can be tamed with Gordo Snares and give the same rewards as other large slimes once they transform into a largo. Like all slimes, they eat food to grow. They do not attack or do damage but may pounce on the player when agitated.

Boom Slime Embroidered expressions make these soft, huggable plushies the perfect addition to any fan's collection. They feature a weighted beany bottom and accessory-friendly hang loops so they can easily be hooked to your bag, backpack or fanny pack.

Pink slimes are the most common type of slime in the Far, Far Range and can eat anything, including Plorts. They like to be fed fruit and their plorts have a default value of seven Newbucks.

Rock slimes have returned for Slime Rancher 2, and while they're harmful thanks to sharp crystal formations protruding from their bodies, they're not mean-spirited.

Honey Slime Featuring clear slime topped with squishy jelly cubes and fimos and cute bee charms. This slime makes the perfect addition to your Flowers & Bees themed preschool activities.

Honey Slimes are one of the more unique slime types available on your ranch, spawning exclusively in the Moss Blanket area and producing honey plorts worth 45 Newbucks. This makes them ideal for the early game, especially since they're not as prone to escaping as Rock Slimes and Tabby Slimes.

Is this gonna be my first actual post? Yes. Is this completely self indulgent? Also yes 

Rodimus’ ranch looks like shit but he’s trying his best. He’s only got boom and honey slimes and largos and no he will not take any criticism on his choice. Keeps them very well feed and has silos upon silos of mint mangos and an entire ranch section for briar hens. He’s named every single slime and despite them looking all the same he can tell the difference between them and nobody knows how. Those little collectable bobbles that come out during the holiday season? He collects them but, once again, only the boom and honey slimes. 

Drift is having the time of his life. The game is so simple and the slimes do nothing but bounce. His ranch looks okay, but it’s full of loose hen hens and tangle slime plorts are everywhere so it kinda takes away from the overall look. He’s got all the upgrades and an insane amount of money. Doesn’t bother naming his slimes except for the one tabby slime he keeps in Ogden’s retreat. 

Riptide only has puddle slimes. Only puddle slimes. No other buildings or pastures or farms. Just ponds and puddle slimes. He doesn’t have a reason for this, but he can’t bring himself to house any other slimes :(

Brainstorm and Nautica share a save file, and they’ve managed to minmax their ranch for optimal plort production. They’ve got all the upgrades and little bits and bobbles and an ungodly amount of cash to boot. There may or may not be plans to create slimes in the lab. They’re both stupidly attached to the rad slimes, and have given the entirety of Viktor’s Workshop to a small hoard of them. 

Tailgate has every slime on his ranch. He doesn’t have a favorite, he can’t possibly choose between them all! He feels bad for the hen hens he feeds to the slimes, so he tries to only feed the slimes the elders, his reasoning being “they had a good life.” Regularly forgets to harvest his crops and they go bad, but he’s got the garden upgrades so it’s not too bad of a problem. He tried to get Cyclonus to play, but he’s old and doesn’t have the patience for games, but he’s more than content to watch Tailgate play instead. Tailgate named a dervish slime after him and gave it its own pasture. The only slime that consistently has a topped off auto-feeder

Whirl collects tarr. He’s just got like four pastures full of tarr. Has a slime stage right outside his house with a tarr on it, he says it’s because it’s the first tarr he got, but he probably can’t tell the difference between them. In the grotto he keeps a couple phosphor slimes but will absolutely deny this.
