Pro-Palestine march held in Times Square New York City on Friday October 13, 2023.
A woman holds a sign that reads “Free Palestine.”
“From the river to the sea Palestine will be free,” they chanted.

We’re all the villain in somebody’s story
If I am yours, I hope you tell it like I said it
Cause i meant every word when I said
“I just might break your heart”
Even after that I’m still your love
Because nobody could ever play my part
Did you forget I have the key?
I’ve unlocked levels soul deep
How could you ever forget a woman like me?
This ain’t a fucking love story
You were scared of your own shadow
You’d tell me I’m doing too much when I would shine my light
I told you I’d hold your hand in the dark but you didn’t trust my light
You said this isn’t something to take lightly
I told you I’m not a woman for the faint of heart
In unlocking your truths,
Does this make me the villain in your story?
Because I broke your heart trying to crack the code
Learning your love language…

16th STREET PILGRIMAGE (2018) | gabriel craft / gabrielcraft.me
On this day in history, September 15th, 1963 there were 4 fatal victims of domestic terrorism in Birmingham, Alabama.
Carol Denise McNair. Carole Robertson. Addie Mae Collins. Cynthia Wesley.
Beyond saying their names we can commit to 4 positive actions today to memorialize them in life.
Here are 4 positive actions I can commit to today moving forward:
1. Making a plan to today to vote early and in person. My vote supports candidates that work for equality.
2. Writing postcards with Center for Common Ground. This is pretty easy and the organization has worked hard to make the effort effective.
3. Telling 4 people about this story by the end of day.
4. Offering my at least 10% annually of photo services free of charge to those that work for social justice.
I offer gratitude to artist Ment Nelson for this important reminder. I read his tweet and then edited this past photo work for posting today.
When in Alabama: The Legacy Museum & The National Memorial for Peace and Justice
Thank you for being here,
Gabriel Craft
