Digitally editing a fogged negative from original to complete. Timed exposure while zooming lens.

2 Correct exposure as best as possible and save.

3 Create a new layer to work on. I have a “replace colour” setting where I can pick a colour and darken it to match night sky. Notice how it darkens over repeating the setting rather than trying to fix it in one go.

4 Clone edges to remove extreme fogging flare.

5 Saturate colour to restore faded colours.

6 Having lost some detail from the “replace colour”, I made a new layer from the background image, place as top layer, “Flood Erase” the black out and erase the fogging on the right of the picture. Colour saturate the layer. 

7 Merge all layers and save.

Hi i love your keero gifs. Can i ask how you make them since the show is only available on Disney+? I assume you're not screen capping your TV? Lol. Also, just curious, why don't you ship them? I make my gifs using Photoshop (but used to make them on a very old product called Serif Photoplus until a couple years ago). For my portfolio i decided to use some of my coursework from year 12. Pages 1 to 13 is about making a product inspired from other designers (Frank Lloyd Wright and Charles Rennie Mackintosh), whereas pages 14 to 20 is inspired from nature.

There are a couple of pages that i couldn’t include due to the limited amount of pages. That being said, i chose these in particular because these display my best in product design.

I’ve made a collage featuring Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s work using Serif PhotoPlus software. Including a variety of his artwork, such as his beautiful watercolour paintings, furniture, and interior design of the Hill House. Additionally, I added some Jewellery that were inspired from his style, because i like how they took his motif (the Mackintosh Rose) and incorporated it into their design. This will give me an idea of how i could make a product influenced from him.

When coming up with design ideas, i looked at his floral paintings and furniture, and combined them both to make a design that was similar to his style.

My first designs didn’t turn out too well because they were too ornate and curvilinear, they were too focused on the exact form of a flower. Mackintosh’s designs has nature motifs and curving lines but he also has geometric shapes which mine didn’t have. So, after careful consideration, i came up with a design that had natural forms in it but was simplistic and elegant.
