context of this is that is like. joel and etho r dating and then etho started dating jimmy aswell. and joels having a crisis abt it all. [first part]
-------
"Joel."
"Lizzie."
She jumps up to sit on the kitchen counter next to where hes making a drink.
"Oh come on, you can at least talk to me, I'm not even part of all your boy drama."
"Lizze please just drop it."
"I won't, I'm not letting you sabotage yourself when you were finally happy." She crosses her arms and looks at him, "Besides you're all sad and lonely and it's boring and its my duty as your favourite best friend to help."
She claps her hands together as she jumps down off the counter.
"So. You sort it out." She smiles sweetly at him, "Or I lock all three of you in a room together."
"Liz-"
"See you tonight for movie night! My house this time, bring snacks!"
And then shes gone.
Well great, now Lizzie is involved as well. Aaand shes threatening him. Okay that is expected so hes not surprised by that but he does not wanna be locked in a room with them both so sort this out.
Etho first.
Maybe? What if Etho doesn't want to let Joel date other people. Yeah its unrealistic and hypocritical but Joels worries never want to listen to reason so. Jimmy first?
Nope. Nope no absolutely not. How the fuck is he supposed to go from repressing all of these feelings for Jimmy for fucking years to telling him that he- No, Joel can't even think the words. Maybe he should just tell Lizzie, she always is great at advice, especially about relationships.
Or, he can just stay right here drinking his drink and ignore all of this forever. Yeah. He'll go with that option.
---
Or maybe not.
"Tell him."
"Lizzie I am not telling anyone I am in love with them. Least of all him."
She throws the popcorn at his head.
"Boring and annoying you are, just like this movie."
"You chose it."
"That doesn't matter! What matters is you saying it out loud. Do it."
Joel grumbles to himself for a bit before,
"Okay fine! I'm," Deep breath Joel, it's just Lizzie. "I'm in love with Jimmy."
Theres a clatter of well something hitting the floor and Joel opens his eyes, and looks up to see. Jimmy.
Shit.
"Jimmy! You made it!"
"You didn't say he was coming." Joel hisses at her.
She smiles back at him, "I know."
Jimmy is still just standing there, looking as beautiful as always, nope back on track, looking vaugely awkward. Because of him.
Joel pats the space on the sofa next to him.
"We should talk I think."

‘Zee is quite terrifying in battle.’ Zero broke her contemplative silence with an unexpected question.
“Is that a question?” Y’shtola asked, her tone touched with ice and subtle warning, “or a statement?”
“My question is more…” Zero trailed off, searching for the right wording, “Why does she not learn a more damaging weapon? She is always fighting as our healer despite her clear skill in battle.”
It was an obvious question, Zee was more aggressive than any healer Y’shtola had ever come across, and she was certain that was the case for most, if not all, of the scions. Her eyes darted back to her book, noting the line she was on and page number, before closing it and setting it on the table nearby.
“Zee fights like Thancred more than she fights like Uriangae, no?” Y’shtola waited for Zero’s response, receiving a thoughtful nod after a second. “While I have never personally talked with her about her fighting style, I believe she see’s herself as more a secondary tank than here only to heal.” Y’shtola moved to stand next to Zero, lowering her voice as if spilled a secret, “You know of her prosthetics, she is quite the sacrificial type at times. But she always heals herself, not surgery of course, but she always says she cant go to another healer to-“ just as Y’shtola was beginning her spark of gossip it was cut off with the doors opening as Estinien walked in mid bite of a pit fruit. The whispered conversation dissolved, but left Zero with many things to contemplate that night.
