You know a girl who worships the dark lord in one of your classes. She doesn't look like what you expect from one of his followers. She looks like anyone else you'd meet. You're attending a college in a large port city the southern coast of the continent, countless miles away from the dark lord's tower in the far north.

You ask her at some point of she's really a follower of him when you see his symbol tattooed on her wrist. She nods her head and asks you if you're willing to convert, you obviously say no. It's strange just looking at her, this normal, kind, person, who prays to a creature whose caused so much suffering. She tells you her parents where part of the invasion force back during his failed conquests of the grasslands, and ended up fleeing here, she seems so egar to explain, like she doesn't know what she's explaining.

You know there's no secret good side to the dark lord. He's a god of tyranny and power, and his followers are permitted to bow to no other god then him. His followers have destroyed countless cultures, they hunt down divine beings for sacrifice, and destroy all holy places they come across. The blood spilled in his name is endless. And in a way this girl believes in all of it.

Of course, it's hard to tell what she believes. She tells you she's personally agaisnt human sacrifice, but doesn't judge those who do it in her god's name. She seems a lot more judgmental of less violent practices that your gods have. But she says that she is personally against hurting anyone, and you believe it, she seems like a nice person. As a follower of darkness she wants the world to be conquered and the all holy things to be broken, but she only wants that in theory, she seems squeamish about what it actually takes to fulfill such things.

You wonder if this is the best you can hope for. If things get worse she might have to choose between her values as someone who grew up in a free city, and her values as a follow of darkness, and you hope if you're kind to her, she'll choose freedom. Though then again, you're the type of person who would survive his conquerst, and you wonder if you'd react to her diffrent if you were from a group the dark lord sought to destroy.

At most she's a person, and you see her for that.

I didn’t sleep last night… because of the fire ( see previous post) anyway a long day was ahead of me:

• Mails

• Phone call with our group for the art and education assignment.

• did some research afterwards on the “ the starry night” by Van Gogh + notes.

• had a phone call with the girl I have to do my epistemology oral exam.

• Duolingo : Portuguese

• had a facetime with my long distance best friend while working on digital humanities.

• went for a little walk.

• Study a little bit of didactic in maths.

When we tell a dog they're little and cute and exist to be pet by us they belive it because we built them to be the perfect servents. We're always on the same page as them when we tell them we own them, and that they're our entertainment.

But when we tell a cat they're our cute little pets we're disagreeing with them. They don't think of themselves as small, but instead we're big and awkward to them. They see themselves as swift and elegant hunters, and don't see the issue as up for debate.

My obsession with drawing on pieces of paper smaller than those I usually use for my works lives on. I understand that I have to post smt once in a while, so, have a look at my practice with drawing solely with pens.

It’s such a shame nobody mentions this game anywhere. I didn’t even know there’s a whole @ss fandom dedicated to it until recently and I feel so bad for missing all the fun throughout the last years…

I won’t spoil anything but damn, this game will make you think and constantly question your decisions and sadly enough it’s not smt we see in modern media anymore.

I still remember the first time I “finished” the game. The moment the credits rolled on my screen I looked at a wall in front of me and stared at it for half an hour, mulling over what I’ve just witnessed (in a good way); I literally had an existential crisis.

Pretty sure it’s the first time I ever thought about the meaning of life and death in general. So yeah, this game was very influential in my case.
