My biggest pieces of advice to people who want to get into fitness would be generally:
1. Fitness shouldn't be used to punish yourself
2. Setting goals that prioritizes your body's abilities over aesthetics can be more helpful (e.g., my main goals for fitness are to improve my cardiovascular system, which I find has been more helpful than "get buff" as a goal)
3. There is no such thing as "wrong" fitness, so long as your body is safe. If you're disabled, for instance, your fitness will likely look different than an able-bodied person's, and that is not a bad thing. Do what your body is able to do and what is most enjoyable
4. If you are fat, you might not lose weight by being physically active. You may gain weight if you are gaining muscle, and that's okay. Additionally, you don't have to make your fitness goal "losing weight." Your goals don't even have to involve your weight because that isn't the end all be all of fitness. Fitness doesn't exist to solely make you lose weight
5. It's okay to adapt fitness routines in accordance with what your body can currently do - no shame is needed, also!

I dont know about anyone else, but I love how Bandit is occasionally self conscious about his figure and his weight. He clearly is very prideful about his athletic ability, he's works out, he likes to run, he enjoys sports very much, he engages alot in physical activity and games with his daughters, doing alot of lifting, pushing and pulling and he tries to eat healthy, though regularly sneaks snacks.
He's not as young as he use to be. He doesn't have the time he use to have. He has alot more responsibilities and stresses now. He has a dad bod. He knows his body is not the way it use to be. Its nice to see a guy, especially a father figure who is having that moment, because it happens to alot of men. Though he has this insecurity, Chili is always reaffirming that she doesn't mind the extra weight and still finds him attractive, given how much they flirt with each other. And he for most part is able to keep up with his girls. He sees himself having gotten a muffin top, which results in him bemoaning "Oh man....", but he can successfully squat lift both his girls at the same time. He can lift, lower and spin Bingo, he isn't really winded when he takes out the stump, he's less winded than Stripes when they play racket ball at least in the first round. He still loves to dance, though he's lost some of his flexibility. The man has a dad bod. Its no longer the same lean muscular athletic body he use to have, but he's still pretty strong and athletic. He's using different muscles these days, and its okay. He can keep up with his girls which is saying alot. I remember as a kid, alot of the neighborhood dads didn't want to play with their kids or couldn't keep up with us, which made alot of us disappointed.
Bandit is doing great. Yeah you got a bit of squish on ya, but man you can still keep up with your kids and your improv skills are chefs kiss.
