#simblr #ts4 legacy #valentine gen 4 #fun fact for context on why i care so much abt him finally choosing to play the piano on his own #but it's gonna get Long so strap in #basically. the guitar he used to have had been with him since he was like...... my god. probably about 15 #he bought it at a yard sale for pennies from an older woman #it belonged to her late son originally and it wasn't even . supposed to be a part of the sale in the first place. she just took a liking to #devin and figured that really it's better in the hands of someone who would use it than for it to collect dust in her garage forever #and he couldn't really practice at home. his parents... are not exactly the kindest people you've ever seen #he was too afraid of them destroying or throwing it away so he'd sneak off to god knows where and learn how to play it from old #youtube videos on his busted up phone #it quickly became Everything to him. his most prized possession. and it wasn't a shitty guitar either. the son was a professional musician #that's how ellie and devin met in the first place. he was playing at the market she used to sneak out to in the evenings to #and she instantly knew . this boy is going places and really they might as well go together #enough backstory of the backstory. long story short: he was struggling to make rent eventually and was out of vinyls to pawn off #so he had no choice left. it was either that or he'd get kicked out along with his sister. who was still struggling a lot w/ addiction #so he sold it. and it broke him. he's literally just not been the same since losing it #his sister stole him a guitar from a music shop she'd go to sometimes but it just wasn't the same and he had not played an instrument since #until now anyway #still not a guitar. but maybe someday #or he can find his old one and buy it again......... #lmfao if you made it here congrats. you win nothing bc im broke but i do respect you

despite what my comic might say, I think Klavier somehow manages to get Ema to his apartment at least once. Likely with the promise of fancy alcohol. Ema spent that evening drinking his dumb booze and dunking on his home. Maybe Klavier ordered food and put on a reality show. Maybe Klavier just really wanted a friend who would actually talk to him like a person and tell him all his faults for real.

One thing about writing is the fact that no matter how detailed you make a scene, how many descriptive words you put in it, no reader is gonna imagine it the same way. I honestly think that’s pretty cool, because while I may have a specific lay out of how a scene goes and every movement a character makes, every tone a word is spoken in, a reader may have a different tone in mind. they may imagine a character shaking their head slowly while talking, or gesturing wildly while making a harsh statement. I honestly love that this is a thing! I love reading books because I imagine the characters looking a specific way, or talking in a specific voice, but when it’s given a tv show all of that is thrown to the wind and it kind of bums me out a bit. So I want my readers to imagine any scene any way they want to! Make tears stream down a characters face if I didn’t explicitly say they do, may a character laugh from pure joy, or a character chuckle at a small joke. Imagine that there are leaves blowing in the background, that the trees are swaying gently as the characters travel through the world! If you enjoy it, I can guarantee that the writer will enjoy it too :)

YIPPEEE a long while ago i printed out the sheet music for solfegietto but i lost motivation to learn it but i picked it back up about a week ago and im well over halfway through!! and i feel so awesome thats all 👍🏻👍🏻

#literally not to ventpost but piano has been such a difficult thing for me not because its hard in itself but rather because i took piano #lessons for 7 years and i never seemed to make any progress and my piano teacher would make me do the same pieces for months on end #so i ended up doing my grade 1 exam (which i hated) and then when i got a new teacher he skipped me to grade 2-3 without the exam #the entire time i got SO bored of piano like i really hated it for a long time and thought i was musically illiterate #but then i picked up guitar and realised im actually shithot at it and i learn really really quickly when i enjoy what im doing #so after FOREVER of not touching the piano i decided to take it up again and play my own stuff etc etc and im honestly so much happier #if you had told 15 y/o me that i'd be ENJOYING playing classical piano AND SIGHT READING SHEET MUSIC i wouldve mauled you then and there #like do i regret taking lessons? not really! i probably wouldnt be able to read sheet music this well if i hadnt taken them #but i do wish i had A) found a better teacher B) commit to it more and not be so stroppy about it and C) actually realised that progress is #not a number and cant be measured with grades and exams #anyway. yeah #thank you peter tork and bob dylan amen.... #emi's meandering jotts
