Apparently Q says “even gods have their favorites, your were always mine” to Picard in Picard. And that just seems so romantic and beautiful to me. Like what do you mean he was always your favorite? You’ve met so many people across your existence and this little guy who runs a winery was your favorite? That is so romantic.
Q implying that if he knew Picard was so vulnerable about romance, he would’ve seduced him as a woman since the beginning is WILD and not even the gayest conversation they’ve had
This is one of my favorite shots in the entirety of TNG so I had to do it for the episode art. I hope I captured the casualness of Q compared to the wild panic Picard was feeling lol
and god said IM GONNA FUCK THAT OLD MAN

Did you ever thought of the last conversation between Picard and Q? Did you ever think about the fact that maybe when he says that all that he go through was to accept the fact of him being loved wasn't mean in a romantic way but in a paternal way?
Did you ever thought of the fact that Q knew that Picard was a father, that he had to let go his past to grow up and accept his life?
In the third episode Beverly tell Picard that she decided not to tell him about Jack because his problems with his father, he reply by saying that recently he learn to get over that, that he matured and learn to accept his past and all that was about that time, but that he could learn that 20 years ago.
Q let Picard learn to get over his traumas and pain because he knew that soon he will meet his son, he let him matured so Jack doesn't get that Picard that hurt him 5 years ago.
“I'm dying alone, and I don't want that for you”
Q give Picard more than a ability to be loved, he gave him the key to be a father without guilt and pain
