"Tears of the Kingdom - Comfort Food"
This is something I came up with after returning to Art Program.
Basically, it's of Link from TotK stuffing his face with Prime Meat and Rice Bowl, he needs a nice hot meal after all the crap he's going through in the new game.
What with losing his arm to losing Zelda, he needs something warm in his belly.

Boiled turnip (Cooking)
Tumblr media
Peel the root of the turnip (Brassicaceae) and cut it lengthwise into quarters. Add consommé, salt, and pickled plum (1 piece) to water, heat, add turnips and simmer. The flavor of the consommé, the saltiness, and the sourness of the pickled plum permeate the turnips, resulting in a soft and creamy finish.

Rice with Umeboshi and Genmaicha
This recipe involves making rice (I used jade rice), sprinkling it with seaweed and instant dashi powder (I used mushroom bouillon powder), and topping with an umeboshi, then pouring genmaicha over the whole thing. It's really salty and acidic from the umeboshi and the mushroom bouillon, in a good way. Go lighter than you think you need to on the bouillon. Recipe is from this youtube video.

Ways to Use Umeboshi
Made the cucumber and umeboshi snack recipe from the video and they're quite good!
Update: I have now made almost every recipe from this video. My favorite one is the pork (for me very then slices of seitan) cooked in garlic and umeboshi mixture and served on top of salad. It's cincredibly fast and easy to make and full of flavor that's not too over the top umeboshi.
The noodle soup with umeboshi is my second favorite because the extremely salty umeboshi lends a lot of flavor when mixed in with the broth. I subbed udon noodles for the soba noodles he uses. For the broth, I used the broth from this soup recipe but with less miso, less concentrated broth, and less soy sauce, in order to allow for the addition of the salty umeboshi.
My third favorite is the tuna salad sandwich with umeboshi. I made a chickpea salad with vegan mayo and mixed the umeboshi in as the salt and acid, which worked nicely, and I added greens and mushrooms into the sandwich, but I do think that once I added all those things it could have used an extra punch of umeboshi flavor, so if i make it again I can keep the umeboshi in the filling if I want, but should also add it in by itself on top of the chickpea "tuna" salad like he does.
