Fun Fact
Kazakhstan’s Minister of Communications and Informatics has blocked the Tumblr site because it contained 60 sites of terrorism, extremism, and pornography in 2015.
A gay reimagining of "Petrosinella" (a Rapunzel's variant) featuring Emanuele Mariotti as Petrosinello (Rapunzel's counterpart), Alberto Malanchino as the Prince and Pierfrancesco Favino as the Ogre (Mother Gothel, basically).
"Petrosinella" (Little Parsley) was written in Neapolitan by Giambattista Basile and he included it in his 1634 collection of fairy tales "The Tale of Tales." It is an Aarne–Thompson type 310 "the Maiden in the Tower" tale, as well as the earliest recorded variant of "Rapunzel." The Brothers Grimm's more famous version was published almost two centuries later, in 1812.
You can read an English translation of "Petrosinella" here.
I spotted Ruth Negga once, sitting outside at a pub in Primrose Hill. She went inside. I went in and ordered a pint, then sat down and glanced over at her furtively. She knew what I was doing and she confirmed for me who she was by loudly saying ‘I’m Ruth’ to a child she was with. True story.
..............
I might add that it was nighttime and there was very little street light when I spotted her, but I recognised her immediately. How? Because I’m autistic and I have an enhanced ability to recognise faces. I’m not joking. Being me really sucks most of the time, but occasionally there are moments when it’s quite fun.

@rivayacht: “Riva: The Persuaders”: the short film for the brand’s 180th Anniversary is a classy action movie with @pierfrancescofavino, @davidbeckham and @charles_leclerc
E gettare via Gauguin. E Picasso.

When former U.N. investigator Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) and his family get stuck in urban gridlock, he senses that it's no ordinary traffic jam. His suspicions are confirmed when, suddenly, the city erupts into chaos. A lethal virus, spread through a single bite, is turning healthy people into something vicious, unthinking, and feral. As the pandemic threatens to consume humanity, Gerry leads a worldwide search to find the source of the infection and, with luck, a way to halt its spread.
Patria o no -
purché si scatti alla partenza.
Anche la giustizia va bene all'inizio.
Poi corre tutto solo.
L'odio. L'odio.
Una smorfia di estasi amorosa
gli deforma il viso.
Oh, quegli altri sentimenti –
malaticci e fiacchi!
Capace, sveglio, molto laborioso.
e l'umorismo grasso
della colonna che vigorosa le sovrasta.
È un maestro del contrasto
tra fracasso e silenzio
tra sangue rosso e neve bianca.
E soprattutto non lo annoia mai
il motivo del lindo carnefice
sopra la vittima insozzata.
In ogni istante è pronto a nuovi compiti.
Se deve aspettare aspetterà.
Lo dicono cieco. Cieco?
Ha la vista acuta del cecchino
e guarda risoluto al futuro.
– lui solo.
"Promises captures the chaos of a broken heart in a language that is lyrical and languorous. Don’t look for easy solutions in this film to the conundrum of the heart. Promises will frustrate and anger you. It will also leave you deeply moved. It is what good films are supposed to do."
