Broppy had relationship drama in Trolls 2 and my problem is the movies avoided them being together. Even the last movie there was random drama when Branch accused Poppy of abandoning him and something about Branch not opening up to her. They add conflict but never focus on it these movies are badly written even for kids cartoon standards

I can see why the writing in the movie isn’t for everyone but personally I like it, I was always entertained during the movie and I think the story was executed well. With that being said what I really enjoy in the Trolls franchise is the characters!

Now about broppy, in the second Trolls movie their relationship issues were a big subplot while not so much in the third. The little spat they had towards the end of the movie I actually liked because it really showed that even the healthiest relationships aren’t perfect, plus Branch apologized immediately and Poppy didn’t hold it against him. I do wish we saw more of them being together tho

is it true that all wild pigeons are actually domesticated and that if they didn't have diseases you could just catch one and take it as a pet?

not all, but all in the areas where they are invasive. it’s a little more complicated, but essentially, all rock doves / feral pigeons in North America + other areas they are invasive are descended from pigeons either used for services like carrier pigeons or pet / show pigeons, meaning that yes, feral pigeons are really no different than feral cats/dogs as opposed to ‘vermin’ invasives like nutria who never had a relationship with people. it’s perfectly legal to catch a wild pigeon as a pet, and some of them domesticate nicely - however some of them will always remain ‘feral’ so i wouldn’t recommend this for inexperienced pigeon owners! the rate of disease transmissible to humans in pigeons is very low, most likely the most you’d have to do is take the pigeon to a vet for general treatment / likely treatment of lice and/or other conditions easily transmitted from bird to bird

Ooh idea: pigeon!Desmond again, but instead of a single immortal pigeon, he just reincarnates over and over again. But not in a ‘he lays the egg that will be the next Desmond’ way, just a ‘he dies and somewhere a new pigeon is born and voila Desmond!’ way. Altaïr would probably figure out that it was the same spirit/soul but I wonder how long it would take Ezio?

The original pigeon Desmond idea for those curious.

I’m so glad you specified ‘reborn as a random pigeon somewhere else’ because my brain immediately went ‘if not an egg, how about the new pigeon bursting out of the old pigeon’s chest ala chest burster lol’

For this one, we’ll have Desmond have the same age expectancy as a pigeon and be reborn as a chick somewhere else. This way, his ancestor will have the time to grieve over the death of their pigeon. When Desmond returns to them, enough time has passed that they wouldn’t mind having another dedicated messenger pigeon.

Altaïr would notice it early on because he grew up with Desmond. He’s used to Desmond’s habits and quirks as a pigeon. And the Levantine Brotherhood kept using messenger pigeons so Altaïr has been exposed to a lot of them. Desmond had always been strange compared to them and it showed. Would he realize it as soon as they met? No. It’ll take him a couple of weeks. The most glaring thing is that his latest pigeon liked to rest on the same shoulder as Desmond did and made the same cooing sound whenever he was trying to get Altaïr to rest for a bit.

For Ezio though. Let’s make it more traumatic. Messenger pigeons aren’t a regular occurrence for Ezio but Petruccio has a ‘pet’ pigeon who liked to fly towards him and chill with him whenever Petruccio was resting or had to do something else.

So Desmond’s first death in Italia is actually during the time the Auditores are being arrested. He tried to protect Petruccio but ends up being hit hard. When Ezio returned, Desmond actually dies in his hands.

He gets reborn and has to deal with the whole ‘growing up as a pigeon’ thing again. By the time he returns to Ezio, Ezio’s already in Monteriggioni, training with his uncle’s mercenaries, and he becomes one of the many messenger pigeons the Brotherhood uses.

(Not to be mistaken by the messenger pigeons the Medici uses. Desmond hates being mistaken as one of them)

Ezio would probably realize Desmond keeps being reborn around the time he’s in Roma. As the mentor, he gets more messenger pigeons than he did before and he gets used to them, figuring out their specific quirks and habits.

Desmond’s habits remained the same and it takes Ezio a bit of time before he remembered why Desmond’s habits felt… nostalgic.

It’s because Desmond acts the same as he did when he was just Petruccio’s pet pigeon.

thinking about dusttale but ridiculously meta where sans is basically forced by the narrative to do what he does.

he’s tried EVERY. SINGLE. THING. ELSE. He’s even told many people about the situation but try as they might they can’t help. the anomaly just never leaves and continues specifically doing no-mercy routes, because that’s how the story of dusttale goes

something tells him he needs to kill the other monsters in the underground in order to stop the human but every part of himself is like “???why would i do that? why that?” and he just subconsciously knows that it will 100% work for reasons he can’t pin down. but he’s still refusing to carry it out because it’s ridiculous. but then that “something” gets louder and more aggressive like it’s a child whining to their playmates that their game of pretend isn’t going the way they want it. and frankly it’s very annoying and starts to border on unbearable

and since he’s tried everything else and knows a reset can bring everyone back he’s like fuck it, fine, geez. i’ll do it like once stop screaming in my skull

(the something’s probably ink, dude needs to make sure the au’s running its course properly)

Trolls AVOIDED broppy's relationship for the entire series. We come to find out when they are together it all happens OFF SCREEN outside of the films, like wtf is the point? Broppy never had big moments or development after 3 movies (or the show lol). Just randomly boyfriend girlfriend status ala 2023 and one lame short kiss and they moved on and never mention it again. Just wtf! Trolls is so averse to romance.

I have a very very very unpopular opinion about the series, I did not like it 😭. Ik it’s a children’s show but it was a little annoying and I feel like they mischaracterized everyone. The only ep I kinda enjoyed was the one about branch and finding the puzzle piece

Also yeah! There was NO BROPPY, rather disappointing 😔. I don’t think the series is canon, thankfully 🥴

Tho in the movies I have to disagree about how there was no development, the development is one of the things that makes me LOVE broppy!

In the first movie Branch HATES Poppy while Poppy just dose her lovely friendship thing. At the end they come to understand each other and become friends 🥹! In the second movie Branch is head over heels for the sweet Queen of Pop but she has this huge issue with not listening to anyone and he just has issues, hence their fight after they leave the Funk Kingdom. At the end of the movie they admit they love each other and they start their relationship! In the last movie it’s apparent that Poppy is trying to listen and Branch is trying to open up more! That’s why I love the scene where he leaves his bros and him and Poppy have a talk, it really shows the development! She’s making an effort to be there for him and LISTEN while he’s making an effort to not shut the people he loves out (Sorry if this doesn’t make sense, idk how to verbalize what im trying to say 💀💀)

Thought I have to agree that they could have done a lil more with Broppy throughout the movies. THEY WERE SO CUTE WHEN THEY WERE FLIRTING 😭😭❤️!! I hope in the next movie they give us the broppy content we crave 💀💀

Odette doesn't own a full suit of armor -- yet. Her current Paladin kit is of a humble nature, having been a gift from her Sisters. The shield is unadorned but sturdy, the blade simple but true. The armor rather limited but decorated with embroidered moon daises, each by a different sister. She feels nothing but the divine love of Menphina when she wears it. However, she has a terrible fondness for stories about lady knights and the women they love and has grown delighted by the thought of someday donning a full suit herself. Shiny, with details of flowers and twining vines and moths. Someday she'll commission it, but only after she feels like she's earned it.
