“Look, they made a bunch of pigs in blankets and made them into the shape of a wreath!” my wife said. “Isn’t that cool?”
“Huh,” I said, “I’d have called it ‘A Wreath o’ Franks in’.”
We both paused, looks of regret and disappointment on our faces, a moment that could never be taken back.
“I don’t get it,” our daughter said.

Got the Sonic cookbook for Christmas (thanks Dad! ♥️) and decided to try making this for the Georgia game today.
I only had 1 sheet of puff pastry dough, but I was able to cut 30 decent rectangles out of it. It also came rolled up in baking parchment so that made the prep part of the recipe a lot cleaner and easier.
After you cut the rectangles, DO NOT STACK THEM like my stupid self did because they will STICK TO EACH OTHER. If you have other hands to help out, you can set up an assembly line getting these little suckers cut and wrapped and save some time.
Aside from that they behaved rather well. I ended up with 6 leftover cocktail weiners (lil' smokies, according to the packaging) so 36 mini dogs isn't too much of a long shot for this recipe.
I measured a half teaspoon of coursely ground salt, but I might have done better just grinding the salt over the dogs. I also ground the onion flakes down using a mortar since they were kinda big.
For this recipe, I opted out of putting the chili cheese dip in the center. Since it was just going to be 2 of us, I organized a different plating setup instead.
30 minutes in the oven. This got the little dogs sizzling. :D
Gave them a few minutes to cool, then I split them 15 to 2 flat bowls with a ramekin of chili sauce in the middle. (Didn't have time to fix chili per the provided recipe, so I just went with a personal fave canned brand. Sorry, Sonic!) They were really warm at first, but as they cooled down they were easier to eat.
Turned out pretty friggin' good! Someday I'll find all 5 peppers for the chili recipe, and I'll try a full version then.

So I’m a mid-twenties male who enjoys listening to rock and heavy psychedelia, who also likes to eat spicy hot Carribean food that sets the mouth ablaze but here I am: debating whether to purchase extra spaces in my virtual stables in “Horse Racing: All Star Rivals”, I studded my mare and got a colt white foal and now I’m happy*.
*happy as a pig in shit**
**happy as a pig in a blanket***
***ffs not a Christmas menu option, literally a pig looking cute in a fleece blanket!
