A cute little isopod (I grew up calling them sow bugs but pill bugs are obviously a good common name for a pill-shaped being) meets a cute mushroom creature under the first bleeding heart flowers of spring!
Prints in my shop.

the top ones, are terrestrial crustaceans, ie have gills, require sufficiently watery air to breathe, etc while on the bottom, those are insects like you’d expect, and the two are NOT RELATED!

OK SO UHH WE ARE ON ROUND 15 (special round)
I DID NOT INCLUDE ANY ARACHNIDS SADLY CUZ UHHH THEY AINT REALLY BUGS BUT ARE VERY SIMILAR.
I decided that imma bring back bugs that where like king time ago (kinda like a redemption I guess?) I could’ve just found like random type of bugs I never heard of before for this round but nahh I’m to tired and lazy and gotta work on a birthday project (kinda in a game and irl art of her oc or something)
LETS CONTINUE BUG WARS THOUGH

We went out to check the amphibian boards and while no amphibians were there we did uncover a massive group of isopods!! (and one centipede)
There were some on the underside of the board as well! I scooped them into my hand and they were all just a bunch of little balls in my palm. Like a tiny, leggy ball pit made of calcium carbonate...
