Been seeing a resurgence of fan content for SU recently? So obviously, I immediately became afflicted with "AU for my OCs" disease

Did a bit of a redesign to Pink to better execute the original idea I had back when I made her :D I think she needs a better name than Pink Sapphire, but I'm not sure what else she could be since that's just what she is lol! I feel like it would be confusing to refer to her as Pink, given PD, and it would be confusing to refer to her as Sapphire bc of CG Sapphire. Truly in a pickle!

Reminder of her updated backstory:

Pink Sapphire is Pink Diamond’s personal Sapphire, customized to look pleasing to Pink (much like Spinel and Volleyball). She was poofed and bubbled by Pink Diamond after correctly predicting her faked shattering scheme in private. Pink Sapphire would’ve never reported what was to happen to the Diamonds or the future Crystal Gems, but Pink Diamond didn’t trust her to not tell anyone, so she ended up poofed, bubbled, and stored in a chest on her leg ship, forgotten to time. It’s only when the Crystal Gems decide to explore the leg ship more thoroughly that they find the long-forgotten chest, unbubbling Pink Sapphire into a universe that had had 6000 years’ worth of progress without her.

Not sure why I put her in Pink's room on Homeworld but I didn't know where else to put her and I can't draw backgrounds to save my life xD also didn't know what to do with her hands bc I wanted the dress to be visible in full, so I just did whatever xD

Prologue ☆

Pearl! Welcome to the world you beautiful beautiful thing.” Her smooth bubbly voice was the first think Pearl ever heard. Even before she could put a name to it, she swore that voice was the most divine thing in the whole galaxy. The new gem opened her eyes to see an overwhelming flash of color, but even though she could feel herself getting overwhelmed, she focused her vision on the gem infront of her. She looked exquisite standing above her, with puffy pink hair and bright, sparkling eyes that seemed to hold a million worlds.

Pink Diamond: Your new owner. Now, you must serve. Pearl put a smile on her face as a little voice told her about this wonderful being.

“Hello my Diamond, it is wonderful to be of service.” She saw her Diamond’s smile falter, and with it her surroundings seem to implode on themselves. No. No. No! Her Diamond was not happy, she was not serving properly, she had done something wrong, she was inadequate for her and needed to be replaced immediately-

Then her smile was back, and the world was okay again. Everything was back in it’s rightful place, Pearl was at peace, but most importantly, her Diamond was at peace.

after watching some.videos in defense of it from popular critical (or 'critical' in quotes as they were made by bigots) , I decided to rewatch steven universe at least the bits I missed and cared to watch. I dint think it was so bad as people ragged on it to be, but I do think the redemption of the diamonds was very rushed , at least with white diamond because she was the baddest and worst of them but turns around a little too quick. also I'm still never gonna be impressed with people overlooking racist tropes in the show, even the videos I watched, while avoiding the subject , still had to point out that a black man helped create the show, but that doesn't really matter whennits misogyny against black Women that is the main issue here. but regardless well su is a cartoon and yeah its certainly a cartoon
